Zuri, Abby, Strips ~ Private

Strips shrugged, "Nothin' much. I was thinkin' I'd go out and gettin' breakfast for everyone. Don't suppose you'd like to come with me?" He wasn't real sure what to say; he was actually expecting for Zuri not to answer him, expecting him to still be asleep. But since he was awake, he figured he might as well ask Zuri if he wanted to go with him.

Zuri was surprised that Strips actually asked him if he wanted to go. He figured that Strips would still be mad at him or would like distance from him. But Zuri figured might as well. So he unwrapped himself and sat up and looked at Strips. “Uhm, yeah sure. Why not? I’ll go with you.” He wasn’t sure why Strips had offered but he didn’t have much else to do. Abby was in the shower so he couldn’t talk to her and he was interested with walking around Darigan. So he stood up and asked, “Uh, any particular place your going?” The last time they checked they didn’t have money. So where could Strips be going? Zuri would ask about that but he figured best not to.

Strips nodded, forcing a smile. "Alright. I thought we'd just take a trip to the grocery store; stock up as much as we can, that sort of thing." He then walked over to a small table at the side of the couch, opened up the drawer and pulled out what very few neopoints there was left in there. He knew there would still be money in that drawer; there almost always was. He and his father always kept emergency money in that drawer.

"Whelp, shall we go?" Strips didn't bother to go put a shirt on. Why should he? There was no law in Darigan saying that he couldn't go into a store without a shirt on; the laws on Darigan weren't that strict. Not to mention the fact that a lot of people, males, walked around without shirts on; anxious to show themselves off. Strips wasn't really looking to 'show himself off', he was just too lazy to put a shirt on.

Zuri just kinda looked at Strips oddly and said, “Alright.” He just followed suit and walked behind Strips. Zuri was still dirty from the day before and probably reeked by now, but oh well. What could he have done? Abby was still using the bathroom so not much really to do. He was surprised that Strips didn’t role his eyes and say “Oh, great, he’s coming with me.” “So far so good.” Zuri thought.

Strips didn't really care if Zuri came with him; it would give them a chance to talk, although Strips would probably wait for Zuri to bring something up. He didn't really know what to say. He had no desire to apologize for what he said the day before; he simply wasn't sorry.

He walked out the door, closed it behind Zuri, and then started walking down the street toward the closest grocery store. He had stuffed the neopoints deep inside his pockets.

Zuri really didn't know what to say either. He had already apologized once and he was pretty much told not to. So Zuri figured it wouldn’t be a good idea to anyways. And Strips didn’t owe him anything, so it was just a quiet walk. Zuri knew not to bring up yesterday at all. He figured it might cause something so he figured it best to keep quiet about that subject.

“Uhm, so. Do you have any ideas where the next clue could be? All we know is that its here somewhere.” The treasure was about all Zuri could think about talking about that wouldn’t cause anything.

Strips shrugged, "Not really. Most I could think of would be to ask Lord Darigan about it, but in order to do that some strings would have to be pulled. Doubt he'd make an appointment to talk to just anybody." Truthfully, Strips didn't care to talk about this treasure hunt; he honestly didn't care whether or not they found it. The only reason he had gone along was to keep Abby and Zuri from being alone together, but after what happened the other day, he highly doubted anything more would happen between them.

“Yeah, true.” Zuri really didn’t know what to talk about now. He really didn’t want to talk about the treasure. The treasure hunt just seemed like something to do. “Uh, so how’s Abby doing?” Zuri was able to see Strips and to see he was ok but he hadn’t seen Abby since yesterday, and he was worried about her. He doubted that she’d even want to come near him. He doubted that Abby would even want to be in the same room as him. What was he to do? How was he going to regain their trust? He was one screwed shoyru. This just proved how his past always come to haunt him in the future.

Strips shrugged, "I dunno, that's probably somethin' you'll have to ask her yourself. I haven't really talked to her much. I mean, we've talked, but not really talked. Physically she seems unharmed, but I'm not sure about mentally. She cleaned the entire room last night, but I don't know if that's because she couldn’t sleep, or if it was just really bugging her. Really, it could be either one." He paused, recalling how Abby looked this morning. "I did find something a little odd about her this morning. I'm thinkin' it was probably just my tired eyes playin' tricks on me, but she seemed a little, well, fatter than she's supposed to. But her figure hasn't changed since she turned, so I don't know how that'd be possible."

Strips continued walking down the street as they talked, keeping his head held high and his arms to the side. In a comfortable situation he'd keep his hands in his pockets, but he didn't feel very comfortable here. And normally he'd also walk with his head tilted downward, staring at the ground, but wouldn't do that here.

The atmosphere was dark, as to be expected; it was always dark here. It was also a bit chilly and breezy, but not too terribly bad.

Zuri just looked up at Strips. "Fatter? I doubt that. It must of been your eyes. I know I haven't known her to terribly long but yeah. I didn't know she got any rounder or could. Unless blood is terribly fattening. But yeah. I guess I’ll have to talk to her myself. That’s if she’ll even let me in the same room as her.” Zuri was worried that even if he wanted to talk to her that she’d yell at him to get out or something. He really didn’t think she’d want to talk to him right now. “Why did we have to go down there, just why?” Zuri thought to himself. “If we didn’t go down there then I wouldn’t have lost control. And what happened down there? Did the dark faerie do that to me?” Zuri couldn’t figure out what exactly happen. Did his powers feed off of the room or did the dark faerie do something to him. It was very odd. And why did she keep flirting with him, and why did she say….”Oh man. Remember yesterday when the dark faerie said, “Aww I would have expected you to be further along by now.”?” Zuri asked Strips in a puzzled and terrified voices.

Strips laughed internally. If blood were fattening, I doubt Abby would drink it he thought. Abby seemed to care too much about her figure to drink something fattening, which he found to be a little odd.

There seemed to be a moment of silence between them while Zuri was thinking, then came Zuri's question, and Strips got an equally puzzled look on his face. "Um, well, yeah; I remember her saying that. Didn't really think much about it, though... You don't think she's...? I mean, that's impossible, ain't it?" If it wasn't impossible, he was in a lot of trouble.

Then he started laughing suddenly. "Oh, ya think we should get Abby a pregnancy test?" He was really just joking; he didn't think Abby was actually pregnant. By that time they had reached the doors of the grocery store. The walk had been a little longer than he thought it would be, but he credited that to the fact that they were both still a little tired and just weren't walking as quickly as they normally would.

"Uhm, as odd as this sounds. Yes, I do think we might want to do that. I don't really know the extent of a dark faerie but if I'm not mistaken, that was the dark faerie that made Abby what she is today. So if she could do that, who knows what else, she could do. For all we know she could make it so Abby could miraculously be able to have kids in a blink of an idea while we had no clue what was going on.” Zuri started to panic a bit now. “I’m not ready to be a father!” Zuri screamed out just outside of the grocery store. People were staring at him now.

Strips's eyes grew wide and he took a step away from Zuri. One of those 'I'm in no way associated with this man' things. "Calm down, I'm sure it's not that." Zuri was starting to get him a little freaked out, though, too.

I don't want to be a father again, either. Ain't no way. Sure I loved the last kid I had, but I don't need another one... Wait a second, what am I thinking? Abby can't get pregnant; Zuri's got to be freakin' out over nothin'.

"Well, if it makes you feel better we'll get 'em, but I'm tellin' ya, it'll be a waste of neopoints. Come on, kid, let's get this thing over with." Strips said as he walked inside the store.

“Yeah, yeah. Your probably right. There is no possible way she could be pregnant.” Zuri was beginning to calm down now. He was breathing slower and more calm. “Yeah, as if she could. She’s not even technically alive.” He thought to himself. “Ok.” So Zuri just followed Strips around the store. He didn’t know how many neopoints Strips had so it was whatever he thought he could afford. So he didn’t say anything to buy or really give an opinion. It was whatever Strips thought they needed.

Strips grabbed a cart at the door, but it was one of those ones that pulled to one side, so he was constantly fighting with it the entire time they were walking. He pretty much just walked down each isle, just to be sure to get everything they'd need. "Toilet paper, since there's a lady in the house" he muttered as he grabbed just a few rolls of toilet paper. "Maybe some paper towels as well." As he walked, he just through things he needed into the cart. He grabbed a lot of food items that didn't really need to be cooked a whole lot; things like hot dogs, Mac 'n' Cheese, TV dinners, and canned soup. He pretty much grabbed anything that didn't require a lot of effort to make; things that any idiot could cook. He was sure to grab some personal hygiene products; deodorant, soap, shampoo, exedra. Walking down the 'liquid' items, he grabbed bottles of soda and water; stopped at the alcohol section and picked up a bottle of a red colored wine. "Has actual blood in it" he explained to Zuri. He thought Abby might appreciate that, even though it's powerful enough to make even an immortal drunker than a skunk. Lastly, he picked up a box containing pregnancy tests and threw them into the cart. "Okay, am I missin' anything?"
