((yeah fruits ^^))
Lue was pretty hungry himself but the mentioning of eating fruit turned his stomach... "I'm not that hungry so you guys go ahead, I'll try to fashion us some kind of shelter." He smiled reassuringly and stuck his hands into his pockets, grabbing the small slingshot but not bringing it out.

She jumped slightly as Phyn landed, and listened to her carefully. "You sure?" Checkr then asked Lue, cocking her head, but then looking off into the directions of the fruit trees.
"Alright, we'll bring some back for you!" She began walking off into the directions of the trees, "Hey, Phyn, maybe you could fly up and get the higher ones and I could climb up..."
She stopped again suddenly, "Daani, do you want to help Lue or come with us?"

"Yeah, hang on, though," She said, kneeling on the ground. She took off her bag, laying it on the ground and slipping her camera into it. She looked at Lue, "Could you just keep an eye on it while you're about here? I don't want o drop anything," she asked, before heading off after Checkr, pretty sure it would be in no danger. She waited with Checkr as the kyrii addressed Daani.

Daani looked at Lue, and then at her, and ran toward them. She was still scared of Lue, and felt most comfortable with Checkr. Phyn seemed nice, too, but the camera thing kind of weirded her out.
((Maybe we could find a meat tree for Lue.))

Lue was wide-eyed when Checkr asked Daani if she wanted to stay but was relieved when she went with the others, "Take your time!" He called out and then ran off the trail into tall grass. He picked up a stone and looked around finding a flock of birds almost immediately. He aimed and shot one down, scaring all the other ones into the sky. Lue smiled as he picked it up, looking around for the girls before smothering it with smoke.

"Alright then." A few minutes later, the trio stood at the bottom of the fruit tree. Checkr looked up at it's branches, then grabbed a low bough, and pulled herself up expertly. She remained perched there, for the fruit was plentiful for the moment. "I don't see us surviving on fruit alone.." she said as she plucked an apple, took a bite out of it, and then picked a few more and tossed them down.

Daani reached up to pull a big red apple off a branch, but sadly was too short. She couldn't even reach it when she jumped, to her dismay. She really wanted this particular apple.
Her thoughts trailed back to Lue. Why was he so mean? What had she done to him? She'd saved his life. Or, at least she thought she had.

Phyn noticed Daani's struggling, and jumped up herself, using her wings to hover as she wrestled the apple off the tree. Once it had snapped free, she handed it down to Daani, and grabbed one of the ones Checkr had dropped down. As she went about collecting the ones Checkr dropped, she thought abit about this adventure, and eventually broke the thoughtful silence.
"So why are we going to the Haunted Woods?"

The bird was cook, well as best as he could get it with smoke... Lue really wished he could blow fire but he never could... He started tearing off the extra feathers and eating it, while walking around and picking of big sticks for the shelter. He wouldn't mind just sleeping under the stars but it was females he was traveling with and knowing them they wouldn't want that... He made sure he threw the rest of the bird somewhere where the others wouldn't find it and brought the stick back to a pile that he had accumulated then he started leaning them against each other. He had never made a shelter before, he always used something already there or nothing at all but he knew somewhat how to make one....

Daani grinned broadly at Phyn when she gave her the apple. Phyn was so nice. Unlike somebody. She turned around, her smile fading into expressionless confusion. What was he doing over there. She figured Phyn and Checkr were busy, so she went back to Lue before she heard Phyn's question.
She held the red apple in her hands and stood behind Lue, soundlessly watching him do something with sticks. Twilight was nigh, she noticed. It would only be minutes. But she stood there, watching Lue intently, wondering what in Neopia he could possibly be doing. He didn't even look so sure, so that made it all the more difficult for her to figure out. She wasn't really afraid of him anymore, but she didn't want him yelling at her again.

Lue had a weird looking tepee thing that looked really unstable. He took a step back to look at it and bumped unto someone. He turned around and saw Daani, "Where are the others?" he asked looking around her but didn't see anyone. He moved to the side and let her look at him lame excuse for shelter, "I hope y'all don't mind sleeping under the stars tonight... It's not going to rain and I can stay awake if you guys are going to be afraid of monsters and whatnot..." He said and kicked the pile of stick, "I can make a fire!" he said and sat down, rubbing two sticks together and blowing smoke on them as well.

Ohhh, Daani thought, so that's what he was doing. Making a shelter...? Whatever for? She sat down on the grass, watching Lue 'make a fire', and then she fell backwards. She looked up at the sky, watching the colors of it change rapidly. Soon it would be dark. She wanted to look at all the stars like Lue said. It sounded pleasant.

After throwing down several apples, Checkr hopped down, holding a fruit in each hand, one with a bite taken out of it. She chewed thoughfully.
'I'm not quite sure." she said to Phyn, with a cheerful shrug, then offered her the spare apple, despite the fact that the Ruki had several already. "We should probably get back to the others..." She looked on the horizen, then suddenly smiled hugely. "Look! They've got a fire!"

Daani looked up at Phyn and Checkr, not moving from her spot on the ground, lying on her back with her knees bent and feet level with the ground. She turned her apple in her hands, watching them. She wished she could talk to them, but her throat had hurt for a while since the last time she'd tried.
It wasn't like anything she'd heard of before, though what she'd 'heard of' she was not entirely sure. It just didn't seem right, somehow. A mute person generally didn't make hoarse, raspy noises when trying to talk, like they had a sore throat or something.
Like how she talked.

"Well, maybe you can get Daani to explain a little," Phyn responded with confidence as they walked over. Her collection of apples lay clutched in her arms, and as they reached the fire, packed most of them away in her bag. She kept one, though, taking a bite before admiring Lue's fire.
"Looks good. If you need more sticks I can go find some." she offered, sitting next to her belongings.
