Bryden 3-4

Setting: Neopia Central, around the fountain.

Plot: No real plot; just want to test out Bryden's personality and appearance. He hasn't been posted in the character archive yet, but there is a quad picture of him on DA. Or, if you want to look him up on neopets, his full name is Bryden94.

Oh, well that's nice... thought an 18-year-old bori as he observed a couple of younger pets splashing around in the Rainbow Pool. They looked like they were having fun, he thought. Yet here he was, secluding himself again. He wanted to be able to mingle with people, but he was terrified of not knowing what to say once he introduced himself. So, he watched; he always watched. Even before he had turned into the hideous creature that he was now, he had a difficult time talking to people. But now that he looked like a monster; talking to people was impossible for him.

He wore a black sweatshirt with a hood to hide most of his body, but he regretted that he couldn't hide everything. Unlike most pets, he didn't carry his tail outside of his blue jeans, but rather had it tucked inside so that only the fluffy red tip came out of the bottom of one pant leg. His black sweatshirt was zipped up all the way to hide his front, and the hood was always over his head. Two holes had been cut at the top of his hood; floppy ears stuck out of the holes and lay at the sides of his head. His clothes covered everything but his face and red eyes; and for good reason too. He hid the most hideous part of himself underneath his sweatshirt and pants. Due to an unfortunate accident, more than half of his body was nothing but bones. Most of his skull, all the way down his back and tail, his hands, his feet, and all of his ribs were all bone. He wore black gloves and tennis-shoes to hide his hands and feet.

And also due to this unfortunate accident, the dead now followed and spoke to him. But, he could only see and hear them if the ghost wanted him to.

Zuri was wondering around Neopia Central. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he did. Every once in a while he liked to stop by Neopia Central and look at the fountain and other sort of things, that and he needed to grab some money from the bank. Zuri also intended to come by and see Abby while he was here.

It had been awhile since he last saw here and thought he'd come by for a visit. Zuri was a tall shoyru with fairly large wings. He, as always, had his sword and sheath strapped on his back. He wore a purple T-shirt and blue jeans. He also wore black tennis shoes.

Zuri walked over to a bench near the fountain and sat back and relaxed and watched as the kids played in the fountain. "I wonder if those kids are alowed to jump around in the fountain." Zuri thought aloud. "I don't particullary think they can." Zuri thought aloud yet again. He had a tendency to think aloud. Most of the time he didn't particullary care if any one heard him. "I wonder where Abby is."

Bryden inched sideways when a shoyru sat down on the bench he had been standing next to; shoes disturbing the dirt as they slid across it. He found it odd that the shoyru was talking to himself, but who was he to judge him when he talked to himself from time to time?

"I know an Abby" the bori muttered under his breath; his ears rolled to the back of his hood.

"Hmm?" Zuri said as this strange person standing beside him said. "You know an Abby. If you know the one I know I feel sorry for you. The one I know is a dark vampress of death. Sorta tall kourgra girl that would probably rip your head off. Thats the Abby I'm lookin for."

Sure Zuri probably exagerated a bit but it fit for a good description of her. Zuri still wasn't entirely sure who this was but if he knew where Abby was, and the correct Abby was, then he didn't really care.

Bryden's eyes widened, was this guy seriously talking to him? He scooted even further away from the bench, but was still close enough that he could easily talk to this stranger.

"Uh, um, weeeell" he stuttered, "The Abby I know is tall, and she is a vampire... but she would never rip my head off. Sh-she's nice...." I think he added as an afterthought. The Abby he knew was always nice to him; had even saved his life. But when he thought about it, he really didn't know much about her. When he thought about it further, he realized that one could think they knew everything about a person, only to find out later that they've done terrible things in their lives.

"Well that may be her. If she lives with Anna then yeah. Unless she was with Alisa or even Geist. But yeah. That sounds like my Abby. Of course you'd actually have to tick her off to get her to bite your head off. But yeah. Oh hey, my names Zuri by the way. Whats yours?"

Zuri then just sat back and watched. Obviously this guy was really shy and not really up for talking. With him constantly drifting away like he was. Zuri thought that the guy might just run away on him and he'd have to chase him down. He did want to see Abby and obviously this guy aparantly knew where she was.

"Erm, well, I know Anna, and I know Alisa, but I don't know this Geist person..."

His Abby?

Bryden's head continued to hang; eyes staring at his shoes. He never looked at this Shoyru, except for when he had first sat down. So, when the Shoyru stated his name, Bryden didn't look up, nor remove a hand from his pockets to shake hands. "Um... m-my name's Bryden. B-but you can call me Bry, if you'd like... I guess it just depends o-on your personal preference." He muttered the last sentence, so that it was barely audible.

"Alright then Bry. So uh, do you think you could take me to Abby? I do kinda wanna go see her. I haven't seen her in a great while and it'd be nice to see her. So if you woudn't mind."

Zuri then stood up and faced this guy. He hoped he wasn't beeing to pushy but yeah. This guy did seem like he would just split at any moment. "I wonder what is up with this guy. He really seems like he has some sort of personal issue." Zuri thought to himself. But Zuri was used to this. He has seen alot of people like him, not to mention he has his own personal issues and is alot alike this guy, in a way, and as far as he knew.

"T-take you to her? B-b-but..." He wasn't sure about that one; wasn't sure if that was a wise idea. He didn't know this guy, and although he seemed to know Abby, if he didn't know how he knew her then he couldn't be entirely sure it was safe to lead him to their house. "Uh, well, I dunno. I mean, how do you know Abby, anyway?"

He continued staring at his feet while Zuri stood and faced him; ears flattening more against the hood.

"How do I know her? Hmmm well me and her have had a long running relationship you could say. I've known her for awhile. We met along time ago in Altador. I also know Strips, if you want to know. Which may be a good or bad thing. But yeah, me and Abby are pretty good friends. I could tell you just about anything about her."

Zuri wasn't entirely sure what to tell him. But he just told him what all came to him. He knew Abby well enough to answer any of his questions.

One of the small neopets that happened to be playing in the fountain was a small krawk. His slim blue body moved easily in the shallow water as his muscular tail moved swiftly behind him, propelling him forward. Zeque didn't really have a long way though. The fountain was big but not big enough for him. By the time he had gotten all the way around, all the other pets that had taken enjoyment in the water had all gotten out, leaving the weird krawk to himself. The abandonment of the other people didn't really bother him though. He continued to circle around the spraying waterfall that stayed stationary in the middle of the pool. A long line of dark grey spikes protruded out of his spine and stuck out of the water as his imagination made him pretend that he was jetsam circling his prey. His fun soon died down though and he peeked his head out of the water, blue eyes staring curiously around at the new people that had joined the existing ones. Water dripped off the tip of his nose and the two black horns that pointed backwards on his head but with a quick canine-like shake the water was sent flying in other directions. A sliver chain with a raindrop shaped charmed jingled slightly as he maneuvered the water off of him.

Ze turned quietly and now stared innocently at a couple of strangers who seemed to be conversing yet were sitting on opposite sides of the same bench. Ze pulled himself out of the water, his black shorts soaked from water, and sat down on the concret edge of the fountain.

Hmm, know's Strips too, huh? Strips scares me; he has too many people following him.

"Uh, well, you just saying that you know her doesn't really tell me anything... But if you can tell me anything about her, then you won't mind answering a few questions, just to be sure. Like, what's her favorite color? What's she most afraid of? How many siblings did she have when she was little? What kind of grades did she get in high school? What's her favorite TV show? What kind of petpet does she have, and what's it's name?"

Bryden took his eyes off his shoes for the first time, lifting his head just enough to stare into Zuri's eyes, and in doing so noticed they were being watched by a Krawk.
