Dre's ear flicked as the sound of leaves under feet came closer. Someone was coming which was rare here... Whatever it was stopped and Dre knew that she had been spotted, she could feel eyes on the back of her head and could see a figure facing her out of the corner of her eye, It's not polite to stare... She sent in a dreamlet (mini-dream). She often used these to communicate to others. It was usually fun to do it to strangers because they weren't used to talking to others in this fashion. Lost? She asked, turning and looking at the Xweetok around the tree.

She got both dreamlets but ignored them. It would be weird to answer silent thoughts. Still, she wasn't going to say or do anything until the Lupess talked, and with her mouth at that.

Dre raised an eyebrow, "Shall I say it again?" She said annoyed. It wasn't unusual that people didn't answer her, most of the time people didn't know how or they would find it weird to be talking to themselves. She got up and put her hands on her hips, "Are-you-lost?" She said it really slow so that the Xweetok would understand her better.

She rolled her eyes. "No, I'm not lost," she chided, "and don't get snooty with me; I'm just not a big fan of telepathy, okay?" She knew telepathy herself, but it freaked her out so she never really used it.

Dre chuckled, "Telepathy? Is that what you want to call it? Ok that's fine..." She said and turned back around, "Well if your not lost than I shall go back to thinking..." She sat down again and leaned against the tree. She rather not help the mortal anyways, especially ones that acted like they knew everything like this one... She closed her eyes and put her hands behind her head, relaxing again.

"Pfft, yeah right. Am I really acting like I know everything, or are you just cranky?" she asked promptly. "And I don't need help, especially from someone who goes around calling people mortals." She waved her hand when she said 'mortals'. The Lupess was getting on her nerves, and she was usually a frighteningly patient person.

"Me 'cranky'?" Dre said not looking back at the Xweetok, "I think you memory serves you wrong for I just offered you help and something like that from me is definitely not 'cranky'..." She said with annoyance in her voice, "And is that not what you are? A mortal? For if you aren't one than I am sorry for calling you that..." She apologized. And if you aren't a 'big fan of telepathy then why should you be using it yourself? She thought, a small smile forming on her face.

She scowled. She was normally very gentle and sweet but for some reason she felt really irritated. She read minds as well as spoke with them. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath; held it, and released slowly. When she opened her eyes again, she felt a lot better. She smiled.
"My apologies," she said. "I lost myself for a moment there. I would prefer to be called by my name rather than 'mortal', if you would. I am Tahtrei. And you?"

Dre looked around the tree at the Xweetok again, surprised by the sudden change in attitude, "Very well, I'm Dre." She said and nodded. Unlike Tahtrei, Dre could only go one way with her mind unless the person responded to her. She couldn't just go up to a person and know what they were thinking but she could go up to a person and know what their deepest fear is and what their greatest desire was too... She didn't like snooping in on those things though unless they were a client... "So Tahtrei, what brings you to this side of the Haunted Woods?" She asked, turning back around to lean against the tree.

"These are the Haunted Woods?" she asked, looking around. "They don't seem like they would be. I was just walking around Shenkuu and suddenly I ended up here." She looked at Dre. "Do you have any idea as to what made that happen?"

"Yeah it is close to the Haunted Woods so most people just associate it with them... But no I don't know why you would be summoned here... For some reason though I have had a lot of free time and my boss suggested coming here." Dre said, suspicion in her voice.

She honestly didn't mean to, but Trei accidentally caught a flicker of a dark faerie's image in Dre's mind. She wasn't searching or anything--she hated to read minds, for it made her feel uncivil--but sometimes thoughts just drifted out to her, and she caught this one.
"Your... boss... suggested this?" she asked cautiously.

Dre scowled, "Yes, my boss..." She said, crossing her arms. This whole mind reading thing of hers was going to get old fast. "But there in no need to talk about that now because you already seem to know who I'm talking about." Dre glared at the Xweetok, "But tell me, Tahtrei, can you read a mind that isn't really there?" She asked and phased out. This was one of the gifts the Dark Faerie, her boss, had given her. She could be perfectly solid and visible or be as if she was just air.... Right now she could not be touched but she could be seen. And this really was for curiosity reasons; she really wanted to know if the Xweetok could read a ghost's mind.

Trei started. What was she talking about? The dark faerie? Was that Dre's boss? Dre had mentioned her boss suggested it, and this seemed an odd place to tell someone to go, but...
She shook her head. "I don't know," she said. "I don't like to read minds. It makes me feel like I'm intruding. You just mentioned your boss, and this place sort of seems weird, so I was curious as to why they'd tell you to come here. I don't know who your boss is. Obviously you're a ghost, but I'm not going to pry through your mind to see why. If I'm to know, you'd tell me, and if you don't, I don't need to know."
((My pets are so WEIRD! XDD Had I mind-reading powers, I'd be poking around in people's heads all the time! Screw intrusion--I'm goin' in! X333))

Dre raised an eyebrow, not really believing her, "Very well then, yes my boss suggested me to go here but she does things like that often... She is the one who showed me this place to begin with...." She said dismissing what she said about mind reading. "Well I doubt this meeting was anything to worry about..." She said, sighing.
