She smiled faintly and set the flower on one of the tree's lower hanging boughs. It sat there, somewhat limply until the doe traced her fingertips from the bud and across the tree, where shoots followed until it was a somewhat elegant creeper vine. Satisfied, she noted the darkening skies and knew that she'd best get home soon. Her ear twitched. Looking around, Lilly noticed someone sitting alone, apparently not moving. Unsure what to think of this, she waved uncertainly.

He couldn't help it; his eyes darted back up it see the flower again, and right as they did, he saw the female waving at him. His eyes darted back down for a mere second before lifting again to look at the girl; he could feel the area of his cheek that wasn't consumed in bone turning a soft pink. Slowly, he lifted his gloved hand to wave back, but as he was waving, his eyes drifted to the side and caught the vine that had appeared. "Dude, that's awesome!" He didn't shout his excitement like most people would, rather his voice barely raised beyond the point of barely being heard.

She giggled, only just hearing him. The doe walked over to where he was sitting, her shoes scraping against the dirt path of the park. Lilly stopped a few feet in front of him. "Thanks," she said, then, naturally, "I haven't seen you around before. I'm Harlilley." She sat on the edge of the bench, and held out her hand.

Bryden turned his head away from her momentarily to make sure he wasn't blushing when he looked into her eyes. He only looked into her eyes briefly as he extended his own hand and shook hers gently. "M-my-" he swallowed hard, "-My name's bryden." For only having looked into her eyes for a few seconds, he thought she looked pretty. Of course, that thought didn't stay in his mind for very long, due to the fact that he was trying to listen to what she had to say rather than think. "Y-yeah...I don't come here very often...." His eyes rolled down to the ground, past his feet, and then back up to the tree she had been standing by. "How did you do that? ...with the flower."

"It's nice to meet you, Bryden." she smiled. "To tell you the truth, I don't really know," she said, "I've always been able to do it, you know?" Lilley rubbed her index finger and her thumb together as if she was rolling something between them. A flower stem grew from there, before growing a bud and blooming into a daisy.

"Well...not really." He replied in response to the 'always been able to do it'. He had a certain gift himself, or more like a curse, but he hasn't always been able to do it. He sheepishly smiled during his remark and turned his head away from her for a brief moment, but his eyes came back to her as she made a flower appear from her fingers. "Th-that's pretty remarkable." He watched in pure awe of her abilities. This was certainly something he had never seen before. He had seen plenty of pets with powers, yes, most of which were in his own family, but he had never met anyone that could make things grow like that. "S-so...is it just plants...or can you make anything grow?" He asked curiously, tilting his head up more to look into her eyes; he didn't think of the fact that this would give her a better view of his cranium.

She shrugged at the compliment, but noticed his stuttering. "Are you okay?" she said cheekily, "You seem a bit shy..." Her eyes glanced at something white covering his face, she assumed it was a mask. "Well, just plants really, but all kinds of plants. Trees are the most fun, but they take ages." Lilley remembered the oak tree in the middle of the park; it had taken a few hours to get it as big as it was, but she was proud of it. She placed the flower stem in the dirt below, and it promptly grew roots and attached itself, sprouting a few extra leaves. "Nice mask, by the way."

Bryden looked down and gave the ground a weird look rather than Lilly. What did she mean by ‘was he okay’? It took him a minute to realize what she was talking about, and he half sighed at his realization. He was doing it again; he hated it when he did this. “Um, yeah,” he said quietly. She had begun talking about her abilities anyway, so he figured it didn’t really matter. Even though she could only make plants grow, he still thought it was a pretty unique ability. And at her mention of trees, his eyes drifted to the one she had been standing under, now wondering if she had had a hand in it. Then she mentioned his ‘mask’, and he could feel his face growing cold and being drained of its color. “Y-yeah, mask, that’s right,” he laughed nervously, still quietly though. “I wear a mask,” he lied.

"How come? You're not hiding anything, are you?" she asked cheekily, leaning closer to Bryden.
(Super-short, I'm really sorry :<)

((S'okay. ^^))
Bryden closed his eyes tightly when she leaned closer to him, as if that would make his disappear or something. "Me? Hide something? God no. I-I have nothing to hide." He replied, only opening one eye to look at her. Well, that was probably the biggest lie he had ever told. He was just so glad he had a sweatshirt on and that she couldn't see the rest of him.

Lilley giggled, "You're funny, I like you." Night was beginning to fall in the park, the sky grew darker and a few fireflies came out, gambolling across the flowerbeds lazily. The sound of the road and the city could be heard clearly. She stood up, and stretched. "I dunno about you, but I'm starved. You wanna go get a pizza or something?" Maybe something to eat will loosen him up a bit.

Bryden smiled at her comment; that was the first time he had ever been called funny. He thought she must have an odd sense of humor. At her mentioning of food, one of his ears flicked slightly. "Actually I already..."
What the heck are you doin', man?! Are you bloody insane?! If a girl asks you if you're hungry, especially a pretty one, I don't care if you've eaten a thousand dinners and you're stuffed to your gills, you are going to say YES! A voice rang out in his mind.
"A pizza sounds nice; I could go for a pizza." He replied, smiling softly.

"C'mon," She started to walk out of the park and down the sidewalk to where a small pizza place was. Lilley could hear his soft footsteps behind him.

Bryden popped up off the bench and walked quickly after her. He followed her in silence, eventually catching up and walking by her side. His snout tilted to the ground the entire time he was walking, and he watched her feet as they walked. She seemed short in comparison to him; he could almost see the top of her head out of the corner of his eye. And all while they were walking, he fumbled around in his pockets, feeling to make sure he had enough money to go halves on a pizza, luckily he did. If he didn't, that might have been awkward; an awkward situation was the last thing he needed.

The pizza shop was a small, brightly-lit affair with those cushy rubber seats that curved around a small square table. One of the four overhead fluorescent lights flickered constantly. The place was empty, including the counter. "Hello, can we get some service here somebody?" Lilley called out from the counter. There was the sound of clutter when a middle-aged, balding Usul came out from the kitchens; he was wearing a stained apron over a loud hawaiian shirt. He grinned, rubbing his hands together habitually. "What'll it be?" Lilley looked up at Bryden. "What do you want, I'll have anything."
