PROBLEM: Child Behavior Discipline
SIDE: For
Okay. Say I have a kid, and we were at the store, and he wanted something, and I said no, and he threw a temper tantrum, and I tried to get him to shut up, and he kept not listening to me, wouldn't common sense dictate that this is time for punishment?
Or a restaurant. Is it just me, or are the rest of you really sick of going to a restaurant and having this little kid screaming his head off? And then the parents just ignore it. If my (hypothetical) kid started screaming in a restaurant and wouldn't calm down, I know for a fact I would take them outside and scold them, and if he still didn't mind me, I'd spank him.
So. Since people are SO SENSITIVE these days, they'd be all, "Oh no, *gasp* you spank your children when they misbehave? That's child abuse!!" What the hell? I was spanked when I was little and was a really bad girl, with a wooden spoon, too, and I made sure I never misbehaved like that again. How in the world is it child abuse to make a little red mark on their behind when they act up? It's not like I'm beating the total shit out of the kid, I'm just making it sting, so they won't do it again, or they'll get it again. And I mean little kids. When they're older, I'd ground them.
It's a sad word when you can't discipline your children without scornful people shaking their heads.
topic open for opinions and further arguments
(make sure to state the problem and what side you're on, 'for' if for disciplining your child like this, 'against' if against it.)
