Lue looked at him, stood up, and streched, "So, do you live here or are you as lost as me?" he asked figuring that he could put this Ku to use.

"Well, that depends on your definition of lost, doesn't it?" He replied, still surveying what he could see of the forest shrubbery. "If you mean lost as in hopelessly unaware of where we are and what our situation is," He turned and smiled, green eyes sparkling; "then no, no I am not lost."
"However," he continued, jumping over a log and listening for any other sound than their voices, "If you define lost as happily ignorant of our surroundings and glad to be elsewhere from home,"
He paused, and he wasn't smiling anymore.
"Then technically, then yes, I am lost."

Lue laughed, "Than I am with you..." he said getting up and and sniffing the air, there wasn't much around other than things Lue considered lunch. "You hungry?" He asked, he wasn't starving right now but a little snack sounded good.

"No, no thankyou." he replied, not really wanting to know what Lue would call 'food'. Hopefully it wasn't kougra.
Ku crossed his toes and hoped it wasn't.
He began climbing the tree rather quickly, all the way to the top, poking his head out of a bunch of leaves and looking across the canopy. He could hear birds and assorted insects, but no other voices.
He slid down the base of the tree and swung up to the branch he'd been sitting on, and resumed grooming his fur.

"Ok well if you are just going to climb that tree then, I am going to get something to eat..." He said sniffing the air and catching the sent of a xweetok near by. He smiled, put his nose to the ground and started sniffing 'lunch' out.

A lone kougress sat atop a large rock in the middle of the forest; her eyes closed and she appeared to be deep in thought. She inhaled a deep breath of oxygen, even though she wouldn't process it and it would return to the earth as oxygen. Something like breathing was a hard habit to break, even if you didn't need to breathe. Her ears twitched and swerved in every direction as her bat-like ears picked up on all the sounds around her. She still wasn't used to having such good hearing; it had only been a month since she had died, but the noise wasn't physically painful. She couldn't feel pain, or anything for that matter. The only pain she felt was the pain the sun caused her, but that pain was tolerable. Sure it may have been slightly annoying, which is why she was enjoying the cloudy day. Her ears stopped swiveling once they picked up on voices, and what they were talking about made the kougress smirk for no apparent reason. She looked around to see how close the voices actually were, but couldn't see anyone so figured they were still a ways away. Maybe she should go investigate? She wasn't sure; not too many people took too kindly to someone who was part vampire.

Lueino kept sniffing around, winding around the trees and boulders, following the scent. He came to one point and picked up another, this scent was quite peculiar... He decided to follow that one instead, not really that hungry... He followed it for some ways until he came up to a large rock...

"Well hello there."
Ku said, noticing the new kougress at last. He jumped up to a branch hanging over the rock and smiled.
"You look as lost as we are." He hung by his tail and frowned. "Well, I'm assuming you're from around here, because those wings don't look suitable for flying in a low forest like this one." he said, gesturing towards the newcomer's large, voluminous black wings.

One of the kougress' ears turned so she could hear what had walked up to the base of the rock she was sitting on, while the other remained in place. She found it a bit odd that random creatures from the woods were walking up to her. Had they not noticed the two vampiric fangs jutting out the roof of her mouth? Either way, it was a breath of fresh air. She hated people automatically being afraid of her on first sight; she really wasn't all that scary, unless there was a full moon. At first she didn’t move her head to look at either of the new creatures, but then she slowly turned to look at the other kougra. "Greetings." She smirked at his comment, but he did have a good point. "You are correct; my wings aren't suitable for flying in the woods. I've not yet mastered that skill. But I'm not lost either." Then she decided to look at the creature that had placed itself at the base of her rock, giving him a small smile upon seeing him.

Luieno looked up, seeing a smiling vampirish kougra, and a weird expression popped up on his face... ummm yeah kougras must be just as weird as I am... he though. He didn't mean to cause a bad first impression, that's just what showed up when he looked at the kougra. He shook his head and smiled back, slightly embarrassed.

"Oh, this is Lue by the way." he added as an afterthought. He sat up on the branch and stretched, his hooked claws grasping it. He glanced at the kougress, and something caught his eye. We must be roughly the same age, he thought, but look at those fangs! Curiouser and curiouser...
"That's a nice set of chompers you got there." Ku said casually, hoping he wouldn't offend her or something.
We could hardly talk though, he reflected, I mean, there's me, a black-and-white-monkey-tailed idiot, and don't even let me get started on Lue..
So they were a trio of weirdos in his eyes. Though, they'd all have their reasons for being so different, surely. Well, except Ku, anyway. He didn't exactly have a 'terrible past' or something like that.

Abby just continued smiling as Luieno gave her a weird look; acting as if she hadn’t even noticed. She was used to looks like that and thought nothing of it. She was extremely interested in his odd appearance, though the expression on her face would never let it show, and she would never ask him about it either. She was a problem solver and loved puzzles; she would rather figure out what type of cross bread he was on her own, without asking him. She also figured if she did ask it’d make him uncomfortable. And then there was this other kougra; with the bushy tail and hooked claws. He looked more like a skunk than a kougra, but again, she wouldn’t ask. It wasn’t her place, and it didn’t really shock her. She’d seen too much in her day to shock her, which is kind of sad considering she was only twenty-six years old. Turning to the other kougra, she smirked at his comment about her teeth. She ran her tongue across a single fang before nodding. “Indeed they are.” She wasn’t ashamed of them, and wasn’t going to get offended about the comment either. “I find it curious how you told me Lue’s name, but failed to mention your own. Are you hiding your name? Or did you just forget to mention it?”

"You're right, how rude of me." He said, sitting on the branch lazily. From where he was, he could guess that he was probably a little taller than her - perhaps a few inches? He couldn't pretend he wasn't interested in her, well perhaps not that way, but this was the first kougra of his age he'd seen in ages. He didn't know how long he'd been lost in this forest, though he knew it was longer than a few months.
It suddenly dawned on him that this was probably the closest thing he'd had to a friend in years. Ku's ears drooped slightly at this, and hoped no-one noticed.
How depressing. Oh wait, better say something. Thinking too much again, stupid brain, oh wait.. what was I going to say?!
He paused for a moment, and frowned slightly, as though trying to remember something.
Oh that's right, my name. "My name's Ku. Pleasure to meet you ma'am." He hung from the branch and held out a paw to shake hands, his green eyes never blinking.
"May I ask your name?" Ku asked, raising an eyebrow.

Abby tilted her head slightly as she observed the other kougra. He was very interesting in his own odd and unique sort of way. She observed every detail of him; most fascinated with his fluffy tail, but when his ears drooped hers bent back to lay flat against her skull. Had she done something to offend him? She couldn’t remember having done anything, except for maybe being incredibly vague and distant and pointing out an obvious fact, but had done the same thing when he had mentioned her teeth, and she hadn’t gotten upset about it. No, there had to be a deeper reason for his ear drooping. So what was he thinking about at the time that his ears drooped? She was also curious about the amount of time in-between him saying he had been rude and him actually saying his name. It was a rather long pause and she figured a million thoughts had been going through his head in that amount of time, much like she was thinking too much now. But she couldn’t help it; people fascinated her and she loved digging in and getting to the deeper reasons of why people did what they did. But there would be more time for that later, right now she had a question to answer. A small smile grew on her face when she realized he had called her ma’am. She hadn’t heard that in…..well, she had never heard that. “My name is Abigail Rose, but my friends call me Abby.” She said as she extended her own paw to shake the other kougra’s. “And it’s a pleasure to meet the both of you, Lue and Ku.”

Lue's face stayed dead as he watched Ku flirting with the other kougra... He sighed out a puff of smoke and decided to join the conversation anyways. "I was just looking for something to eat... Hungry?" He asked, his face still unchanging. Lue sat down and looked up up at her and then back at Ku, they were definitely different but of course they were the same species to that always made a difference... Lue would probably never meet anyone that was his species and accepted that, but for right now he was just looking for people that would accept him... Lupes were very picky about who live in their packs and so he was booted out as soon as possible, he couldn't fly or anything so the scorchios didn't want him so, yeah, acceptance would be nice...
