A few more shots rang out. The sound of a bow snapping and an arrow flying threw the air and the sound of the arrow landing in the target could be heard over and over and over again. Zuri was getting good at this. He was able to hit the bull's eye a few times during all of his shots. "Cut my life into pieces. This is my last resort. Suffocation, no breathing. Don't give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding." Were the words that were echoeing out of Zuri's mouth. He had gone through a few songs in his head by now. That would actually be a good thing right now. He felt like listening to some music and rocking out a bit. " I wonder if Strips has a stereo." Zuri said aloud as he shot another shot.

"Aww, I'm sure you'll find someone someday." Abby ran up to Strips, wrapping her arms around his waist to embrace him in a hug.
"Alright, alright," Strips replied, half chuckling. "Maybe I will, maybe I won't; only time will tell. And if I don't, I suppose that'll be just fine. I mean, gods know that every relationship I've ever had has ended up in failure." And quite frankly, he was just about done trying. He gently pried Abby off of him, and turned to attend to his soup. It was done by now, and the thought crossed his mind that Zuri might still be hungry. He walked over to the window and opened it; was about to call out to Zuri when he heard Zuri singing. This gave him an idea. "Hmm, I think I have that CD, actually" he muttered. He moved his CD player into the windowsill, plugged it into the wall, and then fumbled through a drawer of CDs until he found the one by Papa Roach. He placed the CD into the player, pressed the forward button until he reached the song that Zuri was singing, Last Resort, and then cranked it up all the way. Loud music blared out the speakers and immediately filled the entire room. Half smiling, he walked back over to the stove, put some of the soup in a bowl, and then sat down at the kitchen table, clutching a spoon in his teeth.
Abby sat down beside him again. She didn't much care for the song that was playing, but she could tolerate it. Then, songs about suicide never had pleased her. "So, I noticed you said 'gods'. Does that mean you believe in multiple gods?" She tried to speak over the music.
Strips got a puzzled look; had he actually said that? He couldn't remember now. "Um, well, not exactly." He tried to think of a way to explain this to Abby. "We don't really believe in gods; we believe in people who guide you through the afterlife, but not gods per-say."
"Oh" Abby quieted, but continued thinking. Now that she thought about it, there was so much about Strips that she didn't know.

Zuri just started to laugh a bit. "Haha, cool." He began to sing the song as he shot more arrows. "This is my last resort. Suffocation. No breathing." Zuri continued to sing aloud with the song until the next song played. He didn't know that one so he stopped singing. He shot arrows as the music played. He was enjoying the music. The silence was getting to him. He was thinking to much. Its not a good idea to think about the things that are making you angry when your trying to relax. So the music helped him clear his mind and relax. He was actually getting better aim with the aid of the music. He was hitting more bull's eyes than before.

Strips was also enjoying the music; he hadn't heard this song in forever. He was also enjoying their conversation, or had been, before Abby stopped talking. And since Abby didn't appear to have anything further to say, he simply ate his soup. First, raising the bowl to his lips and tilting it upward, drinking all the broth first. Then, he sat the bowl back on the table, and used the spoon to collect the noodles and bring them to his lips. Once he was finished, he brought the bowl, spoon, and pot to the sink, rinsed them out, and set them off to the side.

Zuri was getting tired of shooting arrows and was ready to go inside. He picked up the arrows and the bow. He walked over to the shed and put up the bow and arrows in the shed. He then started for the door again. The music was still playing. Though it was nice he was getting tired of being outside shooting. It had been awhile since he last watched TV and it sounded nice.
He walked up to the door and opened it. Unfortunately, Abby and Strips were still in the kitchen.

Abby's eyes darted to meet Zuri, glared at him almost immediately. Her eyes seemed to be locked on, and she got a look like she thought she could set Zuri on fire just by staring at him. Strips sighed again, rolling his own eyes, but tried to pay too much attention to them. Then, suddenly, one of Abby's ears rotated all the way around until it was facing behind her. "Strips, there's someone at the door." She never took her eyes off Zuri as she said this.
Strips kind of gave her a funny look; he couldn't hear anything over the music, but he would take Abby's word for it that she had indeed heard someone at the door. Excusing himself, he walked out of the room and opened the front door. He was greeted by a female darigan cybunny and seven little children.
"Look, I know you just moved it, but would you mind turning your music down?" The woman asked in a harsh tone. She had one child in her arms, resting him on her hips, and several children hanging off her ankles.
"Oh, well, I didn't just....Never mind." Strips paused, a bit flustered; it hadn't been his intention to disturb the neighbors. "I'm sorry ma'am, I'll turn the music down." He bowed his head respectfully as the woman turned to leave, shut the door after she was gone, walked back into the kitchen, and turned the music completely off.

Meanwhile Zuri just gave Abby a quick glance before looking for some more food. The soup wasn't that filling and he was getting hungry again. He just tried to ignore Abby now. "Bitch." Zuri thought to himself. He wasn't all that much in a good mood at the moment. He was relaxing but its always nice to come inside and have some one stare at you like they're gonna rip your head off. Zuri continued to rumage through cabinents and such till he found the loaf of bread and a bottle of peanut butter. He found a butter knife and took out two pieces of bread. He opened the jar of peanut butter and took off the inside lid thing and proceded to make himself a peanut butter sandwitch. He grabbed a glass and the bottle of soda and poured himself a glass. He then passed by Strips as he went into the living room and turned on the TV and started to search for something to watch.

Strips gave a quick glance to Zuri, just to see what he was up to, but then looked at Abby. "Hey Abby, I know it's only eight, but I think I'm gunna go to bed now. I'm dead tired and am in serious need of catching up on sleep."
"Uh, oh, okay." Abby had to refrain from asking Strips why he was telling her all of this.
"And yeah, I felt kinda bad about makin' Zuri sleep on the couch last night, so I was thinkin' about lettin' him sleep in my room. I'll be in my parents room, but if you wanna wake me up after you two go to bed, I'll be more than happy to move to the couch."
Abby didn't like the idea of Zuri being allowed to sleep in a comfortable bed, but it wasn't her house or her room so she didn't have any jurisdiction in that area. "Alright, will do" she replied with a smile.
Strips nodded once before leaving the kitchen. "Well, g'night, Zuri. Abby and I agree that you should sleep in my room tonight. It's down the hall on the right."

Zuri just gave a weird look at Strips. He got a room? Alright. "Uhm, shanks." Zuri said with a mouthful of peanut butter. He was fine with the couch. In fact he just planned on falling asleep watching TV or something. He would tell Strips this but his mouth was full and it was hard to talk. Soda isn't the best thing to wash down a peanut butter sandwitch with. Zuri just shrugged and continued to look for a show on TV. Eventually he found a show, or movie. It was the first "Underworld" movie. It was only a few minutes in so he was pretty lucky. He just went back to the couch and looked around for a remote while he ate.

Strips, again, nodded once respectfully, before leaving the room. He walked down the hall and into the bathroom, where he peed, combed his hair, and brushed his teeth. He left the bathroom and walked into his parent's old room, threw back the comforter and crawled into the large bed. He got all cozy under the blankets before he eventually drifted off to sleep.
Abby's ears perked; she heard her favorite movie playing. Her eyes darted around the room, then suddenly she vanished in a cloud of purple smoke. She re-appeared on the back of the couch, sitting in the 'griffin' position. "Oh my god! Watch this!" As soon as an action part of the movie showed, she vanished again and this time landed on the floor. She pounced, looking like she was attacking some invisible fiend... or maybe a dust bunny. When the action part was over, she simply sat on the floor, tail wagging as she watched.

Zuri was scared crappless as Abby appeared in the room. He didn't flinch much do to the food in his hands. Swallowing the bite of pb sandwitch made it easier for him not to jump. He then stared at Abby with a weird look on his face. "Odd." He thought. "Well I guess it is her favorite movie. Hmm, oh well. Atleast she ain't yelling at me." Zuri was about half way done with his sandwitch and he had drank all of his drink. Soda isn't good for a pb sandwitch. He stood up and thougth about what else to get to drink. "Strips did get that wine stuff. Maybe that." Zuri thought to himself as he began to walk for the kitchen. He stopped and turned around. "Hey Abby. Would you like a drink?" Zuri thought he'd be polite and ask. Better get a bit on her good side while she was destracted and easy to be nice to. "I was gonna get me a glass of that wine stuff. Want one?"

Abby snapped her head in Zuri's direction when she heard his voice, realized what he had asked. She had to think for a minute; did she really want Zuri to get her something to drink? She was a little thirsty, and since he was offering... "Uh, yeah, if you don't mind. That'd be great." She forced a sweet smile.
Although Strips had fallen asleep immediately, his dreams weren't all that pleasant. He started dreaming about animals shrieking and screaming again, though he couldn't see them; all he could see was blackness. Also, despite being under a warm blanket, he felt extremely cold. He was curled into a ball, shivering under the blanket.

"Uhm, alright." Zuri then turned around and went into the kitchen. He found two smaller cups and poured the wine into them. He took a drink of his. "Whoa, dang that's strong." Zuri said as the fluid burned his throat as it went down. He then walked back into the living room and handed Abbye her drink. He then walked back over to the couch and sat down and continue to eat his sandwitch and wash it down with the blood wine, which actually worked quite well.

Abby accepted the drink, still smiling. After a few more minutes on the floor, she migrated to the couch; it appeared her blood feud had been put on hold for the time being. She couldn't feel the burning, and because she couldn't feel it, she kept drinking without any thought of how this drink would affect her. Of course, one or two wouldn't do anything; she would have to drink at least five before she even started feeling it, no matter how strong it was. Though, if she started chugging it, the effects would probably take effect a lot soon.
As Strips continued to dream, the setting of his dream slowly shifted. First he found himself on the field of battle, clutching a bat'leth tightly in his fists. Blood of fallen soldiers was pooling all around him, and as he walked more people fell at his feet, dead. This rattled him a little, but he didn't think too much of it.
Then in the middle of that dream, another one started. In the next one, he wasn't carrying a weapon; he was in a dark, cold room. As he walked forward, he noticed two chairs, with two people tied to them; both of the people had bags over their heads, so he couldn't tell who they were. He jumped at the sight of them, but slowly walked toward them. His hand shook violently as he reached for one of the bags; clutched it tightly and in one quick motion, pulled the bag off of one of the tied person's head. His entire body began shaking, both inside the dream and outside. "No...." he whispered.

Zuri managed to finally finish his sandwitch. He was feeling a bit tipsy now but didn't think much of it. He had drank most of the glass of wine in the process. But he felt like being lazy and figured he should go refill it now before he feels like molding into the couch. And also the shear fact that Abby was sitting with him made it a bit odd. He felt like getting up. "Uhm, if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go use the restroom." Zuri stood up and walked to the bathroom and took a wiss. He got back out and walked back to the living room and grabbed his glass. "Uh, want a refill?" He asked Abby as he was beginning to head for the kitchen.
