She hesitated, then took it. She lifted a foot out of the snow, which had sunk into it, and then the other one. She had a weird feeling in her stomach. It was the kind of feeling you got when you weren't exactly sure why you were doing what you were doing, but whatever caused this sickly feeling she wasn't sure. It just didn't sit well in her gut.

Rasi put his arm around her shoulders after she was standing and started walking, "Are you ok?" he asked, her face was all of the sudden pale and she had this upset expression on her face. He stopped and looked down at her, worried... He hoped laying in the snow didn't cause her to get sick or anything.

"Hmm? No, I'm fine," she said, trying to reassure him that everything was okay. They started walking, and her knees buckled and she fell into the snow. She attempted to stand weakly, and asked Rasi if they could sled down rather than walk. She'd been pretty okay before they hit Taelia's house, but being in the most warmth she'd felt in days made this tiny excursion even worse. She needed out of this snow and cold and she needed out now.

Rasi didn't hesitate getting out the blanket and freezing the bottom of it. He froze an area ahead of him and set the blanket on the ice. "Are you sure..." He said concerned and worried. They were closer to Taelia's house than they were the town and if he had to he would go back...

She got onto the blanket. "Yes, I'm sure," she told him. She sneezed. "Let's just go."

Rasi laughed, "Lets just make sure your the only one sneezing this time." He smiled and got on behind her, using his foot to push off before they started zooming toward town. Rasi had extra concentration not and made sure he was far ahead of the sled when he was icing down the snow, not wanting another crash again.
((Yeah you never replied... I said 'No' but I don't understand...))

I just want to know, would you like it or would you not like it if you suddenly went to your lookup and had like an NT trophy that said "Neopian Times Champion!!x6 or x7 or x10 or something.)) She grinned, remembering the sneeze and being thrown through the air. She gripped the edges of the blanket and coughed discreetly, trying not to throw off Rasi's concentration. |

((Yeah I would like trophies, they are shiny but I don't know how and I don't want to cheat or scam or whatever to get them , I am not that desperate...  )) The town came into view up ahead, it was a small town but mostly all the towns here were small... He put his foot down to slow them and they soon came to a complete stop outside the town. "Ah, here we are!" He said lifting Vi off the blanket and crunching it together so that it would fit in his bag. |

((Hmm. Okay. That's all I needed to hear. *grins mischievously* *rushes off* Don't worry, I'm not cheating; I've just got a surprise for you. ^^))
She stood up. Several pets nearby freaked when they saw the pirate, but when she started sneezing again, a few decided to approach.
"Err, hello," said one of them, a blue Blumaroo dressed for the cold. "Are you unwell? Or have you come to bring misfortune to us? Because you, ma'am, are outnumbered."
Vi glared at him. "I'm fine, and I don't want any of your stuff," she snapped. "What would I do with it?" She sneezed again.

Rasi shot an evil glare at the Blumaroo and put his arm around Vi's waist, "Come on..." He said coldly and started walking toward a building with a grocery sign above it. "Lets just get the cherries and some hot coffee or something and get back to Taelia's..." He said not liking any of the other stares they were getting from the civilians.

Everybody stared when they entered. Whispers flew all around the store. Vi picked up one of the basket things at the entrance and walked with Rasi to the fruit aisle. She found the cherries and stuffed handful after handful of them into a small plastic bag, which she shoved into the basket.
"How much money do you have?" she asked Rasi. She had no greens to show for, but maybe she could give up a ring or something in exchange for the food.

Rasi got out his wallet and looked in it, "Enough, don't worry..." He said taking the basket from her and heading toward the checkout counter. They rang up and Rasi handed the cashier the required amount and took the bag. "So want to go get some coffee or something?" He asked spying a coffee shop not too far away.

"Yeah, sure." She wasn't all that fond of coffee, but the thought of a hot liquid, any kind, flowing through her body and warming her up was enough to drink it if they got some.
The clerk at the counter looked suspiciously at Vi, but Rasi looked okay so he didn't protest. They walked out the door and toward the coffee shop. A little bell rang when they entered. Again, stares followed them up to the counter. Vi looked at the menu up on the wall. They had hot buttered rum, she noticed. It was good with or without the rum, and while she'd rather have it with, she figured she might as well not push it.
"Hello," the clerk said slowly, "what can I get you?"
She hesitated. "A virgin hot buttered rum, please," she said finally.
"Virgin?" The clerk raised an eyebrow. "You sure you don't want the rum in there, pirate?"
Again, she hesitated, then nodded, pained. "Yes, I'm sure."

It really irritated him that everybody was making such a big deal about Vi being a pirate and all, it really wasn't a big deal, she wasn't doing anything. Rasi scanned the menu before ordering a Carmel latte and then turning to Vi, "Sorry about all of this..." He said slightly embarrassed by all the stares, "It is just there aren't too many pirates that come up here and when they do it usually isn't a good thing..." He said and grabbed his coffee once it was done, escorting Vi over to an empty table.

Vi took her cup of hot buttered rum ((ooc: which is actually a really yummy drink when made properly ^^)) to the table. "It's fine, I get that a lot. Even when I'm on innocent business"--though I rarely am, she added silently--"people expect me to lash out and steal their stuff or kill them."
