Ves shrugged. "Ok, sure but we've gotta be careful." He stood up, brushing sand off him and made his way to the village, indicating Cera should follow.

((Yeah, I haven't really done much with it yet, just a few sketches, but I'll get it up and running after I get my photoshop and tablet next week. ^_^ Anywho, I'll let you get back to your rp... and no quitting! *glares and walks away*))

Cera got up, not really caring about the sand anymore, she had sand in so many weird places right now it was unbelievable... She ached too, hiking all over the island, she really hoped they could take a rest stop, get something to eat, take a long swim in unsalted water.... She doubted any of that would happen though. Yeah they might get some raw fruit to eat, a quick nap and a bucket of mud water splashed over their heads but not what she really wanted. Cera sighed, she was so ready to see modern civilization again....

Chanting reached their ears as they moved closer to the village entrance. Ves turned on the trail and he could see the village - most of the villagers had stopped shopping and were watching some sort of initiation - A kougra native that Ves didn't recognise was being crowned or something.
"I wonder what this is all about?" he whispered to Cera.

Cera was behind Ves at the time and couldn't really see anything, she pushed him gently aside and looked through the leaves. "Oh, that is Sucuel..." She said watching as the older chief placed a tooth necklase around Sucuel's neck and a crown-like thing on his head. The crowd cheered and threw flower pedals, "He must be chief now..." She said trying to make out what was all happening.
Sucuel must have heard them because his gaze shifted toward's their diection and he smiled, "Ah if it isn't my princess..." He said and then looked at Ves, "Gosh how many do you have?" He asked surprised that she now had another guy with her. He shook his head and smiled again, "Come on it is time for celebration!" He said and walked over towards them.
Cera gave Ves a weird look, not knowing what was going on...

Sucuel stopped, "Nothing, he had become too old for his position, the tribe had voted to place the next heir in position so no more mistakes will be made." He said slightly confused about the question, "No more questions now though, lets eat!" He said as several people brought out unrecognizable food. He walked around behind them and urged them on, "This is the biggest festival of the year, we can't wait on you." He said still smiling.
Cera hadn't thought about that, she was too busy thinking about the food that would be available to them. She had only eaten a packet of peanuts on the plane and that coconut from earlier... "Come on lets go, it can't be too bad..." She said and started walking toward the table that was now being laid out.

((^^ I have these little fragments of the graphic novel/manga (whatever you wanna call it, I'd say graphic novel seeing as I'm not going to write it in Japanese first, sadly because I do not understand it  ') but they are all Cera's stuff. I have a pic of her crying, saying 'Ves was right about you. Dhia... how could you?' from when she figures out he's really a no-good rotten con artist, and the very first one where she's in the doorway yelling at Dhia to hurry up and pack faster, and one with Ves (I didn't draw Ves) where he's talking about the real Dhia and she's all, "W...what? That's not true. Dhia wouldn't do that. I trust him.", and another where she's super pissed at Dhia and says, 'You are stuck here with me as your only ticket back, and here you are, lying to me!' from page 6 or 7. They're on paper, so once I get my tablet I'll trace 'em and you can see the li'l cuties. ^^)) |
