Dhiablos stood up shakily, checking out the cave cautiously. The source of feeble light came from a sort of glowing fungus that scattered the ground. He wrenched a glowing toadstool out of the stony ground and used it to see where he was going.
The cave wall was cold, wet and slimy where he dragged his fingers along the cave wall.
Suddenly he froze. His stomach clenched. Was that a skull on the floor?! His heart pounding against his ribs, he moved it cautiously with his foot. It was a pale rock. Dhia sighed with relief, and kept walking.

Finally Cera got fed up with Sucule's procrastination and jerked her arm away from his pulling grip. She started running through the village and into the forest they had first came out of. She followed the path back to the ocean, looking back to see if anyone was following her trail but surprisingly no one was. Cera stood hunched over, recovering her breath, and noticed a foot print in the sand... Could that be Dhia's footprint? Cera thought. following the path of footprints with her eyes until her gaze landed on the ocean. Why would he walk into the water? she asked herself. "Dhiablos!?!" she called out and listened to a response...

(( i think it'd be worth adding Ves to this. it'd be a bit hard for Cera to interact with Dhiablos when he's, well, not there. ^^; ))
Ves was wading in the shallows of the reef, looking for something edible. He'd rolled up his tan trousers to his knees, and the sleeves of his white shirt were rolled up to his elbows. On his head he wore a fawn-coloured hat with a feather in it, on top of his mass of brown curls of hair. He'd been in a plane crash nearby, and was the only survivor, he thought.
meanwhile..
Dhia kept walking through the cave, holding the toadstool in front of him so he could see where he was going. Suddenly he could see sunlight: there was an opening in the ceiling, a heavy wooden trapdoor. Sunlight was leaking through the cracks.
He pushed it with all the strength he could muster. It opened, creaking heavily. Dhia thrust himself up onto the sand above.
It was an island. A very small island. He could see an aeroplane wing on the beach, as well as scattered remains of what appeared to be the tail.
It was the aeroplane wreck, and it had floated ashore.

((ok...))
Cera splashed through the water, calling out Dhiablos's name over and over. She stopped once the water was halfway up her knees, her clothes were drenched with salty water. He has to be somewhere out there... She thought scanning the horizon, there was nothing for miles except for small islands that popped up here and there... Cera's felt weak, she didn't know what to do... She fell to her knees in the water and put her hands to her face... He can't be gone... He can't be gone... She said over and over again in her head. She really would have no reason to stay alive if Dhiablos was gone... She knew she would probably never get saved by any real civilization and who knows what would happen if she stayed here...

Ves looked up at the sound of someone's voice. He saw someone in the water, crying. Ves waded over to her and crouched down to her level. "Well at least I'm not the only one who survived." he muttered, with his British accent. He frowned and looked at her cautiously. "Are you ok? who's this 'Dhiablos character then?'" ||==|| Dhiablos sighed and looked around. He could hear a voice calling from the mainland, but it was too far away, he couldn't make out what it was. It really was a small island, no more than a large patch of sand and about six palm trees. He started to check out the area. "Hey look, more roc- ahh!" This time, it was a skull. There was no mistaking it. There were scattered bones along the beach, bleached and dry. He understood. This must be were sailors ended up, stranded. Starving. Dead. He panicked. "HELP!" he yelled hoarsely to the mainland, running to the edge of the beach. "HELP!"

Cera looked up at him and then stared back at the water, her face stained with the tears she had just been crying, "Dhiablos is my friend... He was distracting the village people while I..... I was supposed to get away..... but I got dragged into letting this which..." She pause, touching her side, "help me and I haven't seen him since..." She explained to him. She wasn't really into it; her voice sounded faraway and she allowed a lot of pauses in... She looked back at the person she was talking to, making sure she just wasn't going crazy...

"Well then," he said, helping her up and walking with her over to the beach, "we need to think of a plan then don't we." He kept walking along the beach until he arrived at a makeshift campsite; There was a campfire that had blown out ages ago, a wet suitcase that had a stamped red cross on it, containing various medical gear, and several things recovered from the plane wreck. "I was assistant doctor on board the plane. I'm glad I found at least one survivor." He sat down near the fire and invited Cera to do the same; it was starting to get dark. ||==|| Dhiablos shivered. A cold breeze was starting to blow and he was dripping wet. There was no shelter, and no wood to light a fire. He started to face facts. He was going to die. Alone, cold and starving. What a way to go. At least he wasn't going to die for at least four or so days. Random thoughts like these kept running wildly across his mind.

((how am I supposed to find Dhia??))
Cera looked at him again, her face was still emotionless, "I thought me and Dhia were the only survivors..." Cera said now grasping that this person was part of the plane accident too. Cera sat down and looked around, feeling somewhat comforted but her mind was still racing with thoughts of where Dhiablos could be. She looked at Ves, he seemed pretty nice, nicer than the natives... She looked behind her to make sure Sucuel or the chief wasn't behind her, "You know there are Indian people here." She remarked looking back at Ves.

(( I thought they could build a raft or something, but if you have any other ideas then I'll go with that )) "Indians?" he said, looking towards the jungle curiously. "I didn't know that. Looks like you've already had a brush with them though." He started the fire and it lit up merrily, providing some light in their small camp. ||==|| Dhia thought for a moment. Was he really going to die? Not if I can help it. he thought defiantly. He sat at the edge of the beach, staring around for anything that might allude to some form of life nearby. He could see a fire in the distance, on one of the beaches nearby. Dhia stood up quickly and cupped his hands to his mouth. "HEY!! OVER HERE! HELP!"

The crickets and frogs were out and about, starting their nightly harmony. Cera rubbed her hands together and placed them close to the fire, "Yeah..." she said to Ves, her eyes hypnotized by the flickering light of the fire. She thought for a moment, maybe he's not dead... I hope he not dead... I'll fly around the island tomorrow... Ideas races through her head, creating probabilities that Dhia wasn't dead and how to find him. She was also wondering what he was doing to get himself lost... Cera looked up from her concentration, "Did you hear that?" she asked standing up.

"Oh, probably nothing, don't worry about it." He knew that yell very well; it was Dhiablos, and he wondered why the name didn't ring a bell before. He wasn't exactly friends with him, and he certainly didn't want to go out and rescue him. ||==|| He'd heard voices - both of them he recognised. One was feminine and kind - that was Cera, he remembered, wondering why he didn't think of her before - the other was British - That was Ves. What the hell is he doing here? he thought blankly. "CERA!! OVER HERE!"

Cera heard it this time now that she was listening for it, "That Dhiablos!" She said standing up and looking out into the ocean. She couldn't see anything, the night had engulfed it all, "DHIABLOS?!?!" She said screaming as loudly as she could in her hands. She turned back to Ves, "We have to go get him!" She said jumping up and hovering in the air, getting ready to fly wherever she had to see Dhia. Cera looked back into the sea of darkness, she didn't like that at all... She would have no idea where she would be going but she would just have to face it...

"Must we?" said Ves, exasperated. He didn't really feel like rescuing someone he didn't like. What was the point in that? Ves would rather let him suffer.
"CERA! I'M OVER HEERE!" Dhiablos yelled, hurting his throat. He grabbed the toadstool from near the trapdoor and waved it in the night furiously, hoping to attract her attention.
"That's nothing," said Ves quickly, hoping she wouldn't go down there, "It's a firefly, ignore it, seriously. Dhiablos isn't there, don't worry about him."

Cera frowned, "What do you have against Dhia?" She asked setting her feet on the ground, if she had to she could go rescue him herself... She folded her wings and walked over to the water, all she could see was icy blackness for quite a while. How in the world did he get all the way over there? She thought as she followed the flashing light of the mushroom with her eyes... "DHIA, I'M COMMING!" She called out flying up again.

"A lot, actually. You know why don't you?" he said, looking at her curiously in the sky. Perhaps she didn't know. He hadn't got to her yet... It was very dark. There was no sound now from the forest, and the island was silent except for the waves and Dhia's yells.
"Look," Ves said, calling up to her, "at least wait till morning. He isn't worth you flying into something in the dark."
