Cera landed again, "No I don't..." She said becoming worried. She looked back at the waving light, feeling bad that she was procrastinating instead of rushing over there to get him... She probably wouldn't be able to fly back that night if she flew over there anyways, "WAIT TILL MORNING!" She called out hoping that he would understand. Meanwhile she wanted to know what the big fuss was about between Dhia and Ves. She turned back to Ves, "There, you happy now?" She said annoyed, "What's with you and Dhiablos?" She asked quite curious.

"Well, let's see.. he lied to me, making me believe that his family had died in a boat or something, he stole most of my money needed to go to med school aand.." he replied, ticking these things off his fingers, "he left me for dead, pretty much."
Ves raised his eyebrows and blinked. "It looks like he's done the same to you, let me tell you something-" he said, suddenly serious, "-Dhiablos is a con artist. He'll be friends with you, get close to you, then he'll manipulate you. Deceive you."
He started pacing the beach calmly, still talking to Cera. The waves rolled in and crashed against the rocky shore of one of the islands loudly.
"When I came home to find everything stolen, he was behind the door, waiting for me." His tone changed, suddenly quiet.
"All I know was I walked in, then something hit me in the back of the head, hard. I fell to the floor, bleeding from the back of my neck. Dhiablos kicked me while I was down, took my money, then walked away." Ves said, rubbing the back of his neck subconsciously.
"He'd already had the key to my flat, because he was staying there as he had 'nowhere to live." He explained. "By the time he'd left, I'd taken him in and he'd stayed with me for about a month. Things went missing. Valuable objects dissapeared."
He sighed, looking out towards the light that was waving frantically. "I know you're probably in love with him or something, but he's a con-artist. A fake. A phony. A liar."
"He'll take your money then stab you in the back." He finished. "That's why I hate him."

Cera looked at him, this couldn't be the same Dhia she knew... she thought slowly shaking her head, "I-I-I... Why should I believe you?" She said becoming angry because she didn't know what to believe... Dhiablos had always been good to her, he had never done anything to hurt her... She didn't really have anything for him to take and even if she did Dhiablos wouldn't take it... Ves was right she did love Dhiablos and it hurt for her to even listen to things that might make him sound bad... She kept shaking her head, then tears flowed down her face... she was so confused, lost, and now, hurt...

"Well, you probably shouldn't." he replied, shaking his head. "I mean, I've only known you for a few hours. I'm only telling you what I know."
It's a shame. he thought, angrily, She seems to be such a nice person, then he's come along and is probably gonna break her poor heart.

Cera sat down and put her hand to her face, trying to cover the tears... She knew that he wouldn't do this to her... well that is what she thought anyways... maybe the only reason that he was so nice to her was because she 'saved his life' back with the hissy... She didn't know any more, she didn't know anything any more. She looked back up at Ves, her face stained with tears, "I have to know..." she said jumping up and flying toward the waving light.
She flew forever it seemed but she knew it wasn't that long... It seemed long because she was thinking so much on the way there. Salt water stung her eyes and it was hard to see the glowing mushroom after a while. The next thing she knew she was there, out of breath, on the beach. She folded her wings and looked up, earning for the truth about this mess.

((sorry for shortness of post but I couldn't think of anything else to say ^^  ) Ves sighed and shook his head as Cera flew off towards Dhia. "Cera!" Within seconds of Cera landing, Dhia had grabbed her and hugged her with the force of a small cannonball. He was so relieved; and so glad someone had found him. "Are you ok?" asked Dhia quickly, for Cera's eyes were glazed with tears. |

Cera could have stayed in his arms forever but she had things to say. SHe pushed away gently, "Ves told me..." She said tears reforming in her eyes. She was angry, confused, hurt.... She didn't know what to say to him now that she was here with him. She figured that this was all she had to say for him to know what she was talking about. She looked up at him...

"Yeah but, but you believe me - right?" Dhia said uncertainly. "Surely you didn't believe what he said - h-he's the con-artist, not me..i-it's all him.." He stammered, realising that everything was slipping between his fingers like sand, falling apart.
He ran his fingers through his hair, thinking quickly.
Suddenly he grabbed her hand with both of his.
"Listen - I love you," he said in desperation, panicking, "Ves is just lying to you."
He seemed satisfied with that, and was sure Cera would believe him. Dhia calmed down and hugged her again.

Cera cried in his shoulder, "I don't know what to believe..." She said though her tears. She hugged him back, she didn't want to belive Ves but he seemed so serious... She clung to Dhiablos tightly, how would he know what she was talking about if he wasn't the con-artist himself... Maybe he wasn't doing it to her, maybe Ves was a one time thing...

"Believe me Cera," he said quietly. "You know I would never do that to you." Dhia added smoothly. It was just a scare, she wouldn't really believe Ves he thought. All I have to do now is make sure Ves keeps his mouth shut. What are the odds of him being here?
Perhaps he should change the subject. Maybe she'd forget about Ves.
"So - uh - what happened to you with the natives?" He asked delicately, trying not to sound suspicious.

Cera pushed him away, turned, and started walking the other way down the beach. How could he have known what she was talking about, why was he changing the subject, why was he insisting on her believing him? All these questions races through her head as she was wallking down the beach. She wasn't cying anymore though... she had shed enough tears for him... She just wanted the truth.

"Listen Cera..wait - Cera where are you going? Was it something I said?" It was nearly midnight, and the beach was as dark as ever.
"Cera? - what's wrong?"

She turned around furious, "I don't know about you anymore! One moment I love you and I don't want to be with any other person than you then the next thing I know I am being told that the one person I love is a con-artist! I come here to find the truth and get told a butt load of lies! I am tired of all of this, you are stuck on this island with me as your only ticket back and here you are lieing to me!" She yelled at him, clenching her fists.

Dhia was taken aback by the fact that Cera was suddenly yelling, something she'd never done before.
"Cera, what are you talking about?! I've never lied to you!" He retorted angrily. He wasn't about to let his only way off the island get away. "How could you say that," he said, trying to manipulate her, "- I've only ever been kind to you with what I have, and then you turn around and say something like that?"
Dhia was a good actor when he wanted to be. He grabbed her hand gently.
"I've only ever wanted the best for you. I love you."

Cera started to cry again and fell into his arm, "I love you too... I'm sorry..." She said hugging him, how could she do this to him? She was just so confused an tird it just fell out... She just wanted to stay right here all night, "I'm so so so sorry... It is just Ves..." She said looking at him now.
