Enter Daani: The Last Oracle

[Lilium]

((Lue didn't give Checkr a gun but whatever xDDDDDDDDD))

Daani loked back, then shrugged as if to say, "Do what you want." She honestly did not think the jackass was going to wake up any time soon, so she figured they could cover some decent ground by then.

[STARLING]

((Well you said there were two guns, and then you said that there were three.. so... *shrugs* XD))

Checkr thought this over. "Well, it's not like he might have more knives.. or we could even tie him tightly.. We don't even have rope." she said glumly. Realizing she was holding the others up, she walked a bit faster until she was level with Lue, looking into the underbrush as they entered the woods.

She had only heard stories before, but so far it was pretty unfantastic, though fog was looming ahead in the woods, and there were strange noises in the undergrowth. "Are there swamps?" she asked no one in particular, eyeing the fog.

[Lilium]

((Phyn got the shotgun, Lue and Daani have the 9mm machine guns XDDDDDDD I figure we gotta start Daani's obsession someday, right? x333333))

((I thought Phyn had the handgun *is confused*))

(( She does. Starling here just didn't read EVERYTHING she should've. *pokes*))

((they each have guns, Lue and Daani have big guns, Phyn and Checkr have small guns... Lue also has all the knives ^^))

Lue shrugged, "Probably after a heavy rain." He answered and held the torch straight ahead of him to burn any spyder webs that might have formed between the branches on the path. Lue's leg all of the sudden became swallowed up by mud, covering his all the way up to his knee, he put his arm out to balance himself and to keep the others away from the pit. "And from my situation, it has rained recently..." He grumbled and pulled his leg out, shaking off the mud as best as he could before pulling a stick down from a tree and poking around in the dirt to see how big the mud pit was. "Follow me and don't stray at all or you be up to your butt in mud."

Daani wasn't affected by the mud in the slightest. A weird feeling was rushing through her, and increased steadily with every step. She was tempted to insert her stolen bullets into the gun, but she knew that she'd just shoot it randomly if she did, so she resisted. She wanted to feel the recoil of the gun on her shoulder. Her pace quickened. She found herself half-skipping, half-dancing through the woods. With every step she felt oddly more and more in place, at home. It was exciting, and she was smiling like an idiot, but she felt good, and not afraid like she'd been all day long. Suddenly mystery was no matter, and nothing was bad or wrong. She wished this innocent bliss would last forever.

[STARLING]

As Checkr was even with Lue, she stumbled in the mud aswell, her face flashing distaste but making no sound as she fought with it in able to retrieve her foot. Finally after much effort her foot was freed, the mud making a final sucking noise as it attempted to claim her sneaker. She set out trying to wipe it off, but gave up quickly.
"Let's try to circle it.." Taking Lue's example, she snatched up a stick, and began poking the ground. "You stay on the right, I'll take the left.." she said, heading in that direction and almost slipping, only catching her balance by gripping onto the stick. Checkr noticed Daani, "At least you're happy." she said with a twinge of grumpiness.

[Jukebox]

While Daani's mood grew lighter, Phyn was getting more and more nervous, and let out a small squeal as Lue and Checkr were mometarily claimed by the mud. She ddin't bother with sticks, however, and simply jumped into the air, her wings begin the soft beating hum. She hovered alongside them, watching them incase she had to grab someone.

[STARLING]

"Aw, and you can fly." said Checkr to Phyn, sticking her tongue out at the Ruki. She stumbled back to her balance, and fought the mud for her stick, which it gave up with a squelching sound. She cocked an eyebrow at this, then stumbled slightly. "I think this is a path or something.. It's kinda clear..." She checked with the stick, "No mud..."

[Lilium]

Daani noticed their discomfort and closed her eyes. Suddenly her amulet began to glow and the mud seemed to spread away to form a tiny clear path. ((xDDDD)) She opened her eyes again and barely noticed what she'd done. She was too busy skipping down the path and deeper into the woods, twirling and dancing all the way. She was laughing joyously in the weird silent laugh that she'd obtained.

((The music I'm listening too is making me happy ^^ So Daani is happy because I'm writing her in my happy mood ))

Lue stopped when he saw the path form in the small light of the fire. "Uhhhhh..." He said confused about what just happened and watched as Daani skipped past them into the darkness, "Daani! I said to stick together!" he said and took a step forward to test the path and found that it worked, "Come on." He said and started chasing after her, worried that there was more mud ahead.

She felt his worry over the mud. There was none in the path up ahead. She bounced back to Lue and Checkr and Phyn, twirling around them happily before bounding back ahead, trying not to get too far out of their sight, but at the same time wanting to move as quickly as possible.

Finally she skipped into a grass clearing and onto a rock, off which she did a front flip and stuck her landing on the ground below, the large gun she still carried seeming to have no affect on her agility or her flip. She faced their direction and grinned. The clearing was extremely far from where they'd entered, and it only took twenty minutes to get here without any mud to stop them. It had been steadily closing behind them as they went forward, closing off their path and any trace of their having been there. She wore a smile on her face as if this were the safest and nicest place in Neopia.

[Kiweh]

Lue saw her run into the clearing and shook his head, there could be anything just waiting for an ixi or something to run into that and Daani was doing exactly what it wanted. "Y'all stay here..." He said to Checkr and Phyn and gave them the torch, at least they would listen to him... "Daani!" Lue said and jogged over to her, looking around before entering the clearing after her. The moon lit up the treeless area and gave him enough light so see but not enough to see what lie in the darkened branches beyond the clearing... "Daani..." he said in a more calmer voice as he approached her.

[STARLING]

Checkr exchanged a glance with Phyn, and without hesistation, followed after Lue with the torch. "Let's go. We have to stay together." she said, completely disregarding the lupe's words. A moment later she was following them, quietly though, until she reached the clearing.
