Lue raised an eyebrow at the pile of glitter and then looked up at Daani, "Ok your the leader now.... Where's your house?" He but didn't like the fact that he was now following instead of leading, even though Daani didn't really followed anyways... He readjusted the gun over his shoulder and stood up straight, "Ready when you are." He smiled and waited for the others to get over the weird glitter experience.

Phyn stook a step back as the aisha deteriorated into the dust, and hesitantly took a picture. As Lue announced Daani leader, she shot a sceptic glance at the girl before turning her attention back to the pile of dust. it seemed wrong to leave it there, but she didn't know what else to do. Of all the stuff in her bag, bottles were not one of them. However, she was ready to move on, and started toward the other side of the clearing, hoping to keep mving.

"That was... strange..." Checkr said rather bluntly, then hastily added, "I'm sorry Daani.. Your mom and all.." But if Daani's mom was already dead when they met her, did it count? The kyrii pondered this, solemnly watching Phyn take the picture, before pausing to bend down and look at the dust skeptically, cocking her head. She looked at Daani as if saying, May I?, though without any response reached out a finger and touched the dust, gaining a strange look as she did so, then hurridly caught up to the others.
"I can bring up the back. And guard or something." she told Daani, since the aisha was in lead now. Checkr would have liked greatly to have been the leader, but even her stubborn mind was agreeing that there was no real use in it. Besides.. She had no idea where to go...

But Daani waited by the dust. She closed her eyes. A small container formed beside her, and the dust that was her mother's remains flew gently inside it. A cap sealed itself on top. She held it up, and then held it out to Phyn, who had a bag, as if asking her to put it inside. She didn't want to leave her mother behind. She could only vaguely remember her, but she wanted to see her properly buried. Not only that, but she could feel the way home.

Phyn took the container Daani was offering her, slipping it in her bag ontop of the gun. She turned, her look of scepticism gone. "C'mon, everyone, let's keep moving. I don't want to keep staying in one place." She stood at the end of the path, waiting for Daani and Lue to go ahead of her.

"Good idea, Phyn." she said, nodding and flashing a smile, then in a lower tone asked Daani,"You alright?" There was a more genuine concern in her voice now, as she fell into step with the aisha for the moment. She hadn't known her parents too much, so she really didn't know what to think or say.

Daani merely shrugged, took the gun still hanging from the strap around her shoulder in her hands to walk easier, and marched forward, her earlier feeling of glee slowly returning as she followed this feeling pulling her. But when she pushed aside a bit of brush and was greeted by sunlight, it vanished.
She'd never in her entire life felt so sad. She took the gun off her and put it on the ground; she hadn't stopped touching it since she got it, so this was obviously big. Daani walked forward and into a ruined village. The village and castle that towered a little ways away had been destroyed over a hundred years ago, but her clan had found and made residence here the last several generations. And the huts they'd rebuilt were again in shambles. She felt the overwhelming grief and misery wash over her like a wave, and with it, and with much force, came her memory. It pounded inside her head like a trigger that had finally been pulled. She looked around, the pained and shocked look on her face enough to make anyone want to cry.
And then she dropped to her knees and held her head. The memory was horrific... and devastating. She saw silent tears fall from her eyes and onto the dusty ground before her. And then the choking sob came. Her mother, her father, all her friends and family... had lived here peacefully. Until they had come. Everything was fine until they had come.
Finally she lifted her head to the sky and wailed like a baby. The sound coming from her throat was quiet and raspy, but it was unmistakeable, the sound she made. She sobbed at the sky and then grabbed her head again and curled into her little ball on the ground.

Phyn blinked as they reached the sunlight, glad it was finally morning. However, Daani's reactiong to the devastation was enough to catch her attention. Since she was standing behind Daani, she didn't catch her expression, but she jumped forward when the aisha dropped to the ground. She turned, taking in the sight of the ruins. So thie was Daani's home? she thought, before the strangled sound Daani's wailing caught her attention.
The ruki looked at Checkr and Lue with a look of surprised pity, and kneeled down beside the green neopet.
"Daani, Danni, are you ok? Please get up." She begged, the sound from their new friend's voice tearing her nerves to shreds. She didn't want to meet the people who had done this, or run into someone like the aisha from before again.

((Isn't it nighttime tho? lol, oh well XD))
Checkr fought her way through the undergrowth excitedly- it was clear something was there. The vines grabbed at her put finally she forced herself through, almost falling on her face but catching herself in a crouching position. She then rose up, looking around, dark blue eyes wide, "Wow. This is-"
Daani's wail cut her off suddenly, and she jumped like a spooked deer, looking around. Suddenly, little details became painfully evident - the ramshackle huts, torn up, broken... how everything was so overgrown.. even the fact that Daani had dropped her precious gun, that was something... She stopped, awkwardly. Infact, the aisha's piteous cries -they were quiet but inmistakeable- made her feel like crying herself, she knew what happened, the evidence, and Daani's mother had told her that. Perhaps, on some deep level, it reminded her...
The kyrii stood there for a moment, unsure of whether Daani would prefer being left alone or comforted. Seeing Phyn in action, she finally plodded over, and kneeled on the other side of Daani, looking at Phyn worridly. She awkwardly patted the aisha on the shoulder, then turned around, to see what Lue was doing, thinking maybe he could help aswell.

Lue didn't know what to say about Daani's mother, he had never really lost anybody close to him because he usually didn't stick around people long enough to get attached... He continued to think about the thing Daani's mother said about Daani being able to see the past.... He had a lot of things he wanted to know about his own past but wasn't quite sure if he wanted others going through it... He had been following absent mindlessly when he noticed everyone had stopped; Daani sat there sobbing on the ground, Checkr and Phyn ran to her aide, and Lue stood there clueless on what to do. He looked up at what was left of a town or village, not quite sure why she was crying at first when it clicked that this place might actually be Daani's home. He looked back down at the three and caught Checkr's eyes, he gave her a confused look and looked back up at the town again, still not quite sure what to do...

((All of my pets are so tortured.... I'm like a walking angst bomb XDDDDDDDD))
Daani felt Phyn and Checkr patting her reassuringly. She wiped at her eyes and stood up slowly like Phyn told her to.
Her grief was suddenly replaced by fury and determination. She would see what happened. She would find out what really went on when she had run off into the woods after a firefly that had caught her attention and she'd tripped and blacked out for over a day, only to return to find her home in ruin and everybody dead. And that woman from the dream. Her eyes closed and her amulet glowed blindingly for a moment, then settled to a still-bright but not painful glow as she opened her mind's eye to the past....

((XDD The angstiest pet of mine would have to be.. hmm.. Checkr prolly.. And she's not too bad i suppose ^^;;; But none of the events that happened to make her like that have happened yet.. so yeah XD))
Checkr cocked her head at Lue, starting to mouth something, then sensed movement out of the corner of her eye and suddenly turned, "Uh.. Daani?" she asked, as the aisha rose with a strange look on her face. The kyrii stood up awkwardly aswell, shifting slightly. When the amulet glowed blindinly, she stepped backwards, eyes watering. When the glow became more managable, she looked towards the aisha and then towards Lue.
"Hey, get over here! Something weird's going on!"

The place was filled with people. People Daani knew. She saw herself, running after that damned firefly. And then she saw three people walk into the village. Two were former Oracles who's powers had been taken after they'd murdered their wives and children, and they'd run off. Now, after a year, they walked back on the village dirt. Everybody stopped and looked at them warily. Several people hid their children or wives behind them or inside the house.
The mysterious third person nodded once, and the other two pulled out small handguns. They began to shoot at the people. Screams filled the air and people fell to the ground dead.
Daani fidgeted, wanting to get away from the vision, but she couldn't. She had to get through it, mainly because she didn't have a choice and also because she knew she had to see everything.
