Lue gave Phyn a blank stare, What was she thinking? Keep climbing? With Daani in this state? She must be panicking too, just in a different way... Lue thought. He looked down at Daani, "Ok come one, we need to get her fresh air..." He said and picked her up again, running up the stair, skipping a the few that were broken and breaking a few more himself. He emerged from the top of the stair to find the lobby that they had entered in before the explosion.

Phyn gave a small squeal as Lue rushedpast her, but she quickly followed, flying a bit in an attempt to avoid the missing stairs. She felt bad for Checkr, but she had to keep up with Lue.
As she stumbled into the lobby, she quickly looked around, darting outside. She tapped the charm, and it gave its small ring and was still brilliant blue. She sighed, looking around the aky with a tearfilled face.

((lol, I had to give CPR to a dummy in health last tri XDDD))
Daani was floating. The sounds of Lue's, Checkr's, and Phyn's voices were growing fainter and fainter, and the feel of lying helplessly in Lue's ridiculously strong arms (xDD) faded. She felt herself being lifted from her body, and drifting away.
She saw her mother, who was crying, and her father, who was trying not to. She looked around to see her entire clan of fellow Oracles, arms open to welcome her return home from her venture in the woods. She smiled and walked toward them, all feelings of fatigue and weakness gone.
It was her father who stopped her momentarily. "Daani!" he called. "Now is not your time! Get out of here this instant."
"But Father, it is my time," she protested. "I'm dead, just like all of you. And now I can be with all of you once more. I can't go on living; you know that."
"I forbid you from dying!" he yelled angrily. "Turn around and walk the other way. Now, Daani, and quickly, before it's too late to go back!"

((lolz))
Lue looked around through all the clutter and everything that now littered the lobby floor. He spotted the main entrance door and sprinted towards that. The door was closed so he ran at it back first to prevent his from stopping. It opened easily enough as the lupe stumbled outside. He was now at a walking pace, breathing hard. He sat Daani down and looked at her, hoping that because she was now outside she would magically come back to life. He ran his fingers through his hair and started pulling at his ears in frustration. Why isn't she waking up? DO I really have to do CRP? He said, letting his arms fall back down as he looked back at Daani. Lue looked over at Phyn who had finally caught up, confusion covered his face as he noticed the charm, "Uhhh, Do you know that your, uh, charm is, um, glowing?" He said finding this weird to state but it was the truth.

((Dude, he's an oracle, he could do anyhting. Any he's a father, who are very good at forbidding things *nods*
ok, so it took 4 kids at walking pace almost, what, 12 hours to reach the castle from Meridell. How long would it take 2 or 3 full grown ruki, running/flying at desperate pace? o0))
Phyn nodded slowly, "Yeah, I know." She knelt down next to Daani, grabbing the girl's arm with tears running down her face. She looked away, catching sight of her bag, but left it there. Daani was more important.

((So, uh, would Daani be dead by then. As you can tell I'm not the greatest improvisor, and I was kinda freaking out about how Daani will live past this. I'm sure you've got a plan Lucy, but yeah, I kinda want to know what it is. or you can keep it in the dark and leave the suspense.))

((I choose the latter. Muahahaha. > Yeah I have had this all planned from the very beginning... *rubs hands together evilly* Though maybe not in this precise scenario, due to the fact that three other peoples control the story, too, but I had a basic outline of how I would twist it around. Never you fear, though, for Daani's not dead. She just thinks she is. (She'll wake up somewhere between one to three hours from now.) Bwahahaha!!!!!!!))

Checkr whirled about, practically flying up the stairs after the other two. Thoughts came in spastic waves;Daani..? Is she..? Her head was a mess of emotions now, but she put all energy into running. The stairs cracked ominously and began to give, and she grabbed onto the railing, holding on for dear life.
The railing snapped, and her eyes went wide as she fell backwards, wanting to scream but not having the breath to spare. The kyrii fell in a heap of arms and legs, eventually as was inevitable thwacking her head - stars erupted. She felt her body finally slide to a halt, then her vision blurred at the edges. The next moment she was looking down at several steps - she hadn't quite fallen down all of them. Checkr gingerly climbed to her feet, then began running again, this time more careful.
It wasn't long before she reached the lobby, and soon rushed over to the others, fearing the worst.
((I added drama to explain why she was gone so long! XDD WEWT! She was supposed to be passed out for like.. a minute or so XDDD))

She looked at all her friends and family who were beckoning for her to come to them. She gazed at her angered father, sobbing mother, and then--
"The massacre was not your fault, darling." The voice from behind her put a cold hand on her shoulder...
"You are the last Oracle, sweetie. There are no more left of your kind. Just look around."
Daani's eyes began to well up with tears. "No... no, I can't be the only one... Mama, where is she? And Papa, and Granny...?"
"Dead, dead, dead, dear. They're all dead......"
"Yes, and so am I!"
She turned and yanked her shoulder away from her grandmother's cold hand. She glared at her. "Stop trying to get me to leave, Granny! I want to stay!"
"You will do no such thing, Daani," said the elderly Aisha sternly. "Obey your father and turn and go back. Find yourself a new home. Live happily. Your friends will be most upset if you die."
"My friends?" The words tumbled from her mouth, as if she didn't know what they meant. She'd forgotten about Checkr, and Phyn, and Lue....
"Lue..."
"He doesn't have a home, either," said Granny gently. "Neither does Checkr, I believe. You three could live together somewhere. Phyn has to go home, of course, but you certainly should visit her."
"Phyn hates me," Daani protested.
"No, she doesn't. She cares about you greatly, she just has a different way of showing it."

Lue looked up at Checkr when she finally made it over, he noticed the cuts and blood running down her leg but didn't say anything. "Uh, do you think we need to do CPR...?" He asked knowing the out line of the procedure. You just push down on her chest a few times and then mouth to mouth... He made a worry face when he though about it. Maybe he could do the check push things and Checkr or someone could do the mouth to mouth... Maybe they wouldn't have to do it at all...

Daani backed away a little bit. "It would be best for me to stay here," she mumbled, but she knew the battle was already lost. She could already feel herself getting the slightest bit weaker, but she was breathing again, if only slightly. ((there, that'll stop the CPR talk xDDD))
"We are still Oracles because that is who we are," said her grandmother. "But we are not living and cannot do anything about what we see. You, on the other hand, can still live. We'll all give you strength to reawaken and walk, won't we?" She looked around, and everybody nodded. She turned back to Daani, smiling gently. "We'll be watching over you, dear. Someday you'll see us again. I know this must be a difficult burden for an eleven-year-old to bear, but you are a strong girl."
There was a pause. Finally, Daani spoke. "All right," she said forlornly. "I'll go. I'll go back."

Checkr squinted, "Hey! I think she's breathing!" She flopped down on the stone floor next to Daani, feet tucked under her, hardly even noticing the pain it caused in her much damaged legs.
The kyrii bent closer to Daani's face, her hair hanging slack in front of her eyes, a thin stream of blood trickling down her face from her head injury. She didn't appear to notice however, and watched the aisha for several moments. After a moment, she suddenly sat up, blue eyes wide and elated looking. "She IS breathing!"

((Pfft, what are you talking about? I soooooo pwn this page. lol)) Daani's grandmother smiled. "That's my good girl," she said. "You live happily, all right?" And then Daani saw tears at her grandmother's eyes. Her grandmother--one of the toughest Oracles of all time--was crying. It broke Daani's heart. "I'll try," she said, feeling her own eyes get wet. She then hugged her grandmother tightly, and turned and walked away without a goodbye to anyone or even a glance back, for fear of changing her mind. Daani felt weaker as she walked on, and then finally, she blinked, but when her eyes opened, they didn't see that white abyss, they saw Lue, and Checkr and Phyn, and a blue, blue sky overhead.
