Zuri wasn't the only one feeling bad, Jaserik felt absolutely sick to his stomach, especially when Zuri willingly turned around to be tied. He just couldn't believe he was being forced to do this to someone who had done absolutely nothing wrong, yet. Someone was already in the process of tossing Jaserik a rope, which he then proceeded to tie Zuri's hands behind his back tightly; it had to be tight to put up a good show. "I'll explain later," Jaserik replied.
With his ears pinned still, he grasped the rope tightly and somewhat yanked Zuri down the path out of the camp. At least Jaserik knew his father wouldn't send anyone to follow them, he just couldn't afford to loose anymore troops. Unfortunately for Jaz, he left without his bow. The only thing he had was a dagger carried in the sheath at his side, so if Zur did try anything, he was fucked.

"Alright." Zuri then followed Jaserik down the path out of town. He couldn't do much about anything till they left. He thought about when they got out to cut the rope but he felt like keeping the rope. They were obviously enough going to have to fend for their own. Any supplies will do them good. At least Zuri still had his sword and sheat with him. To bad it was stuffed with money, that he couldn't use and was more of a burden right now. Zuri just let Jaserik lead the way and let him do his plan.
Eventually they got out of town and Zuri felt like it was safe enough now. " So yeah. Whats up with you guys. You guys act as if I'm some sorta never seen before slave. I feel like a slave right now." Zuri just left it at that and walked and waited for a responce.

For a brief moment Jaserik's ears pricked forward, and then pinned back again. "Sorry," he replied to the statement about Zuri feeling like a slave. He had a solution to that. He pulled the dagger from his side, stopped walking and caused Zuri to stop as well, then cut the rope off and let it fall to the ground. He didn't care about saving it, he had survived with less. "You are a 'never seen before', however, you shouldn't be treated like a slave. If anything you should be treated like a god, but....." Jaserik shook his head; he didn't want to continue, but Zuri deserved an explanation. "Ever since this war began my people have become more and more paranoid. The way they act, you'd think one of our own people had betrayed us, but no one ever has. And that man back there, the one with the stick up his ass, that's my father. He treats everyone with respect except me, and that's only because he thinks that since I'm his son I'm supposed to be some kind of super warrior. I wish I could be but....." Jaserik shook his head again, now refusing to continue.

Zuri slightly chuckled. " I know how you are. My father is the exact same way. I'd say he's worse but that's a long story that no soul should ever hear or repeat. You and I, we seem to be put in the same position none the less. My father is a the head of....... well something where I come from and its the same for me. Always treated like dirt, always doing the dirty work, and I get no respect for it. Hell, thats why I did betray him and why I'm here now. I'm tired of the life I lived and I got fed up and left. I think you got it worse here though. Having to be there non stop with that guy and having such high expectations. I had my own expectations and people knew that and honored that, one way or another. But you, you have to be around him 24/7 and have to live up to his expectations. Sucks to be you. Such a shame some times."
Zuri said in a long and winded way. He then just stuck out his hand and waited for Jaserik to greet it the same. "Looks like you and I are stuck with what we got for now. Guess its on to your king, and to find us some food."

"Yeah, it does suck." Jaserik replied quietly. Everything Zuri said sounded about right; he did have to put up with his father's shit twenty-four seven. He just wished he could betray his father, and about this point in time all he was looking for was an opportunity to do so. He already defied his father's orders every chance he got.
"Food?" Jaserik smirked, "I haven't a bow on me anymore. If we wanted to hunt anything we would have to kill it by hand, and that's never proven to end well." He would be willing to try, but he doubted Zuri could do much of anything in his position. At this point in time, though, Jaserik had too many other questions. "So where are you from anyway? You're not a real dragon, or at least you didn't seem to think so....so, what are you?"

"Ok, I'm from a main land, I guess. I think this place is a really big island, and I'm from a very very very big island, I guess." Zuri was trying to give away very little info, so that way he niether sounded insane, nor did he give away that he came from somewhere that seems to be thousands of years ahead of these guys.
"Basically I come from a village named Shenkuu on this land. There, there are several different types of species I suppose of animals. Like you look like a species named Darigans. So yeah, there, there is also a species that looks more like a dragon, I forget the names but yeah. I'm a species of Shoyru. We look like dragons, but there is a species that looks more like a dragon than we do. Its confusing yes but yeah. I'm trying to make it simple." Zuri said.
"As simple as I can make it without saying I have computers and food making factories." Zuri thought to himself. "So yeah, food. I think we could hunt. I could always just try to throw my sword at it." Zuri joked as he chuckled. Not much else they could do.

"A main land, I guess," Jaserik repeated an a half mocking tone, "a very very big island, I guess." This was the second time this man had avoided the Draeth's question, and Jaserik's trust was quickly slipping away. "Why don't you give me a straight answer?" He asked, not expecting a straight answer. Aside from what his father thought, Jaserik wasn't an idiot; he could tell when people had something to hide, especially when they made it that obvious. "But you're right about one thing, there's no place called Shenkuu around here." It wasn't that hard for him to believe that there were other islands out there far from here with other species on it, but he certainly didn't need to know how far advanced they were. "I suppose if where you come from you're called shoyru....and where you come from you'd call me a Darigan....then it's not that far fetched to take into consideration that here you'd be called a Dragon....since here I'm called a Draeth, and not a Darigan." The way he had phrased it, Zuri might not have understood what he meant, but Jaserik understood what he meant and that was all that mattered to him. Jaserik knew one thing for sure, this was going to be one hell of a trip - this guy didn't even know how to hunt, there had to be something wrong with him. Jaserik understood that Zuri had been joking when he said he was going to throw his sword at an animal, but still, the lack of food in the area was far from being a joke. "I'll think of something," he assured.

Zuri was able to understand what Jaserik meant. Or atleast he thought he did. All he knew was that he was on this island now, and not back home. It was their sense of logic that he had to follow now.
"Ah yeah. I was basically trying to make it so I didn't sound insane. That and try to describe it in a way that I could understand, I'm still a bit lost my self here. I come from where there are brick and wood houses, not tents. I feel like I hit a time warp or something here. But thats not important, what's important is that we get food and get to this king of yours. And yeah, your the hunter, I'm the one just tagging along." Zuri said in an argument to try to reassure Jaserik, and himself.
"You'll hunt and I'll kill anything in our way." Zuri thought to himself. He wasn't about to tell this guy that where he came from he was an assassin of sorts, and worked with a crime sindicate. That really wouldn't boad well for him if he said he was one of the bad guys from where he came from, well used to be one of the bad guys.

Jaserik chuckled loudly; he didn't mean it to be a mocking chuckle, but that was the way it had come out. "Well god, you make us sound ancient. Only our outposts are made of fabric to create tents. Our main cities are made of stone, and stone isn't that far from wood." Well, he could say that about wood at least, but he didn't even know what 'brick' was; he would just pretend he hadn't heard that part. "But anyway, it doesn't take a genius to figure out you're from someplace different, all ya gotta do is look at cha. Your clothing for one thing, it's so....well fitted. You're obviously from a species slightly more advanced than ours. But, that doesn't surprise me. For over one-thousand we've been set in our ways, this war doesn't leave any room for advancement."

Zuri just merely laughed. "That would probably do it. A thousand year long war. Good grief. Where I come from only factions battle like that, but they focus on advancement to out do their enemy." Zuri said as he began to wonder about this war. The only thing he could think of was Maridell and Darigan. Zuri would describe more about his own homeland but saying space stations and guns would probably blow this guy's mind.
"So, tell me about this war. If it has gone on for thousand years, there is no doubt a large story behind it. I wanna hear what you have to say about it." Zuri said as he waited for the story to begin.

A wide smile quickly spread across Jaserik's face. "My friend, this is the story to end all stories." He was sort of glad Zuri had asked to hear the story, as Jaserik loved telling it. But unfortunately, none of his people liked to hear it, except for the children, and even then their parents didn't appreciate anyone telling it. "Dragons play a part in it, in fact....a very small part, however. It's just that, they say that when the war first began, a dragon and a panther found love together, therefore creating the Draeth. No one can be certain if that's true or not, but they are fairly certain all the Dragons left because they wanted to have nothing to do with this war." Jaserik took a deep breath, thinking back to when he had first hear the story. "Anyway, it began with a simple disagreement - one tribe persecuting the other just because of the way they looked and acted. Felines were far more superior in the beginning, and we would have won within just a few years if it hadn't been what happened next. Now I'm not clear on all the details, but I do know a godess left her realm and visited our king at the time. She seeked power, and the great numbers the felines possessed was more than enough to satisfy her desires. However, our king at the time turned her down. Now whether that was a wise decision or a poor one I'm not at liberty to give my opinion, but the godess left our kingdom and turned to our enemy's. She made the Alfa immortal; he still runs the canine kingdom to this day. Felines would have been completely wiped out if it hadn't been for the fact that the Draeth took a name for themselves, built up their numbers quickly, and sided with their feline counterparts. Draeth were the strongest soldiers anyone had ever witnessed, possessed with the godly ability of flight. We've been able to keep the wolves at bay all these years, but we're still failing miserably. All we ever do is breed, breed to increase our numbers, and then throw our offspring into combat at early ages. That's why we've never advanced any further than we have - it's very rare that anyone be allowed to enter a field other than combat. Anyway, that's about it; we're just trying to stay alive for as long as possible." Jaserik seriously doubted they would win this war, yet he didn't have a choice but to fight, especially considering who his father was.

Zuri made a small snicker at the beginning. "Cats verses dogs." Zuri thought to himself. "The longest rivalry around."
"So basically what your saying is in the beginning, you guys did have dragons here. But as many would, they didn't want a part in a war that they had nothing to do with. Mabye they did leave, and maybe some felines and canines came with them. Maybe thats how my world came to be. But anyways, so some goddess came down and befriended the king of the canines and then went on his way into getting this war really going. And right now neither side is really winning, its just battles that are won and no war has really gotten over with. I'd suppose with a king that is immortal he'd be the only one that could decide things, so no real peace could be settled because the Alfa is in control forever and its his oppinion that rules, thus making it a bitch for anything to be really done until he and this goddess are dead and out of the way. Damn, sounds like you guys have some sick shit going on." Zuri said as he gave his opinion on the entire thing.

Jaserik merely shrugged, "Perhaps. I had never thought of it like that. I truly believe that the majority of canines do not want this war to continue, but they are ruled by fear. They fight because they fear the consequences if they don't, and we fight based on our want to survive. It's in our favor that the alpha himself never participates in any battles, rather he spends his time banging anything that moves, not for the sake of reproducing, just for the fun. The alpha has had many many children, but all the males he's had he has slaughtered at the stone, the females he forces to work as his slaves. The man doesn't want any males because that would mean there would be someone to claim the throne, so he takes care of them at an early age. And of course if he's not busy fucking he's out making sure his troops are kept in line, otherwise it's their heads on his mantel." Jaserik paused, almost becoming disgusted just talking about canines. "Oh, and make sure you don't call the alpha wolf a king, it's blasphemous to our own king. Not that I care, I'm just warning you for when we get into the city."

"Ah, ok. Thats good to know. I'll have to remember that. By the way. How long is it to this city of yours? If its going to take along time I'd almost suggest flying, but I have a spranged wing and we'd be up in the air in plane sight of anyone. That and a food might become a must and we should set up camp before it becomes to dark."
Zuri knew how to live in the wilderness, most of his missions he had to set up camp where ever he could. He couldn't always stay somewhere nice. The only bad thing on thier side was they only had a sword, a dagger, and that was it. No blankets or tents or anything like that. Zuri didn't mind, it just ment sleeping on the cold wet ground at night. He much rather stay warm at this point in time. That and he didn't know his terrain or his surroundings at all. He was in a new place that is very different than his own world.

"From here, it's about a day's walk. And yeah, no one flies around here unless it's pitch black. Plus I'm not gunna carry your ass," he replied with a teasing smirk. "But unfortunately I don't think we could set up camp, other than just finding a tree to lay under and building a fire. We didn't exactly bring any supplies with us. I guess right now we should concentrate on finding dinner, and then cooking it, and then rest. We can continue our journey tomorrow."
