The Plot: Imagine with me, if you will, and alternate future for neopia. A dark future full of despair. Sound fun? I thought so too. Okay, so here’s what happened. This is basically like an alternate future to the Neopets PS game, the Darkest Faerie. Anyone who’s played this probably knows that Queen Fyora wins in the end, but I thought it might be fun to role-play what would happen if the darkest faerie had won. So here’s what happened; the darkest faerie teamed up with the Darigan Citadel, and together they completely took over all of neopia. Your character must choose who they wish to side with; whether they want to side with the Darigans and the dark faeries, or whether they want to side with a group of rebels who intend on foiling the Darkest Faerie’s plan. Or, if you’d like, your character can start out as a nomad and not join any side at first, although eventually they will have to pick a side. The Setting: Since the Darkest Faerie has taken over, a dark cloud has completely consumed all of neopia. Most of neopia is in ruin; most left homeless and starving. Order no longer exists, and crime has reached an all time high. The home base for the evil characters is both the Darigan Citadel and Faerie Land (Faerie Land now being mostly inhabited by dark faeries). As for the rebels, they have set up shop on Terror Mountain. It may be cold, but they figured no one would bother them there. Finally, if your character is undecided in the beginning, they start out as a nomad (that should be obvious). However, no character, good or evil, has to start out at their home base, but they can if they want. One more thing, Darigan neopets don’t have to side with Darigan if they don’t want to; there can be Darigan rebels too! Likewise, non-Darigan pets can side with Darigan if they wish. ((I’ll start out using Strips as my character, but I might (MIGHT) add Abby later. And even later still, I might (MIGHT) add a mystery character. ))

One shot. That’s all he had left; just one shot in his six-shooter hand gun. Alone in a dark, cold alley, that’s where he sat; up against a rough stone wall. Gripped loosely in his fingers was a small pistol with an open cylinder, and inside the cylinder remained one bullet. The other five bullets had been used already, all on his defense. But now that he only had one shot left, he was debating on what to do with it.
He could only barely recall how it had happened; how all of this had started. Being a Darigan, he thought he would have at least had the slightest inkling that this was going to happen, but he didn’t have a clue. It all happened so fast; Darigans and Dark Faeries had invaded everywhere within a matter of minutes. Now, Queen Fyora was nowhere to be found, and the streets were riddled with chaos. When all hell had first broken loose, he ran to his home in Neopia Central as quickly as he could, only to find it burnt to the ground. His family was nowhere to be found, nor did he know where they might have gone or what dreadful things might have happened to them. Which brings us back to where he was now.
He didn’t know what to do with himself after he found his home smoldering. He wondered around aimlessly looking for any place safe to hide from the Darigan hordes still roaming the streets, and so far the safest place he found was this alley. He had been here for nearly a week now, while he waited for them to clear out so he could move again, but it was starting to wear a little thin. As he snapped the cylinder back into place, he bit his bottom lip slightly. Closing his eyes tightly, he now gripped the gun firmly in his left hand, brought it up to his temple, and cocked it. As the memory of finding the ashes of his house kept repeating in his mind, his finger wrapped tighter around the trigger, but not enough to cause the gun to go off. He couldn’t take the stress any longer, or to be more correct, he didn’t want to take the stress any longer. Neopia Central was probably one of the worst places to be right now, next to the Haunted Woods. It was the place where in half the city you would find Darigan soldiers marching through the streets, and in the other half you would find looters and other forms of mass crime. He seemed to be stuck right in the middle of it. He hadn’t eaten in days; and when he did eat, he couldn’t eat a lot; his stomach had shrunk so much. It had gotten so bad that every rib in his thorax was visible, and the skin around the muscles in his abdomen had sunken in. He didn’t feel like he could fight back any longer, but to go through with what he was about to do; well, he just couldn’t do it. It was wrong; every fiber of his being was telling him so.
With a quiet, yet frustrated growl, he lowered the gun and un-cocked it. “Alright, alright, stop yelling at me” he whispered. He didn’t dare speak too loudly, in fear of attracting unwanted attention. He just couldn’t do it, not even as a last resort; he would shrivel up and start seizuring while blood and urine leaked out of his body before he would kill himself. The only reason he had thought about it was because he felt like he was going out of his mind.
He stood to his full height of six foot five and paced back and forth a bit, allowing blood to circulate through his legs again. Under a black cloak, his large, black, bat-like wings stretched until they quivered slightly, and then folded again. The hood of his cloak, which normally lay over of his head, currently rested on his back and shoulders. The cloak stretched the length of his body, stopping at his ankles, and wrapped the entire way around his body. Underneath, he wore a black t-shirt and a pair of blue-gray jeans, but wasn’t wearing any shoes. Semi-long black hair fell around the Darigan kougra’s face, making it hard for him to see out of the alley until he combed it back with black claws. After stretching, he placed his gun back in a holster on the right side of his body. Another holster attached to his left side, only this one held a small dagger. Blood red eyes stared into the darker part of the alley momentarily, before he sat down again and made himself comfortable.

The Dark Faeries had taken over. The resistance was but a few who decided to fight against them. This one lone battle scarred shoryu was all that was left of his squad. He was used to it, being the last to survive. May it be that he was the one knocked out of battle or the one who had to fight off the rest. It didn't matter. He was the one who stayed behind and made sure the rest of his crew got away safely, or not so safely. He stayed and fought. He was used to it.
The sounds of metal clanging against each other could be heard from a distance. The roar of battle was all that was going on. He dodged a blast from the faerie and swung his sword. The faerie blocked his blow and knocked him back with a blast of some purple magic. He didn't really care what it was. All he knew was it was getting old fast. He was shot backwards, his feat dragging across the ground and dust flying up around them. Eventually his stuck his sword into the ground to stop himself. He looked up and the faerie had flown towards him. He took his sword out of the ground and whilst doing so knocked the weapon out of the faerie's hands and then struck him down.
Another Darigan lupe came up behind him yelling with his sword in the air ready to strike. Zuri took his tail and stopped the sword. He listened to it clang against his tail. He looked behind with at the lupe. His eyes were glowing a demonic red. He just smirked and struck him down as well. He then looked around at the battle seen. His comrades were lying all around him, along with his enemy. Nothing was left.
He remembered this place well. The hills looked oh so familiar. He looked up to what at one point in time was his home, long ago. Shenkuu had gone down hill since then. "Haaaaa.” He gave a sigh. “Good grief. Bloody freaking son of a..." He then just collapsed right there. He looked up at the blackened sun. It was so dismal out here now. Crime had taken over and the dark fairies and Darigans had taken over everything else.
Zuri looked down at his red covered black hands. If he hadn't of known it himself he would mistake himself for a Darigan. But he used to be a normal red Shoyru with nice red wings. Now he was pure black. His powers had taken him over and never went back. Do to the years of training he had managed to take control of his body once more. But alas, he was no longer a red shoyru, no; he was a black shoyru with little horns down his back and tail. His tail had formed a few spikes at the end and his claws had grown as well. He could easily be mistaken for a Darigan, which this of course could be a good thing or bad thing. Bad being it that he wasn't himself much any more and good because it was a bit easier to sneak around being black and looking like a Darigan. Of course there were Darigans in the resistance but if he played his cards right like most he could slip around quite well. He was 6' 4" and his wings were ripped and tattered, barely of use for flying, but he manages. His eyes were normal, but yet, strangely enough a nice shade of blue. It looked odd on his black body. But, as he laid there he could still hear the peacefulness of Shenkuu, just ever so slightly.

((Okay, I decided to go ahead and add Abby now.))
“He’s been causing us a great deal of trouble, your Majesty….”
Faerie Land, now home to thousands of Dark Creatures. The once bright vibrant atmosphere now sent chills up one’s spine if they were to step foot on the area. The once white fluffy cloud had now turned a deep purple. Everywhere you looked there seem to be a loom of dread and despair. It was now built in the dark faerie’s image.
Inside the camber room of the Faerie Land castle stood three people, all of which standing around a round table and viewing a glass orb in the center. The first person was a Darigan general, who had been doing most of the talking thus far. The second person was the Darkest Faerie herself; she was looking intently on the orb while she listened to the Darigan’s report. The third and final person in the room was a black female kougress; she wasn’t paying attention at all and her pupil-less eyes just sort of wondered around the room. They had been together in this room for nearly fifteen minutes now; not long but long enough for the kougress to get bored. She tried to listen as the Darigan talked away, stuttering and mumbling without really knowing what he was saying, but she had other things on her mind.
She began thinking about how all of this started; how the Darkest Faerie came into power. She knew about it before it happened, but she didn’t want anything to do with it. Yet here she was; side by side with the Darkest Faerie. How did it happen? She didn’t even have to ask; she knew how it had happened. Even though she didn’t want to help the Darkest Faerie take over Neopia, she had to. She was a dark faerie’s pet, after all. Granted she wasn’t the Darkest Faerie’s pet, she was the faerie who was in charge of the underworld’s pet, but since all the faeries participated she really didn’t have much choice in the matter.
Since she had been forced to join a war she had no interest in, her vampiric form had completely taken over. While in her vampiric form, her eyes turned pure black; void of all life. Her silver nails had grown tremendously in length; and long, vampiric fangs jutted out the roof of her mouth. She had even started changing mentally, like her mind had been processed; she no longer cared about the people she used to love.
She had on a dark purple tank-top that exposed her stomach, and a dark purple pair of short-shorts. Long black hair, that normally reached the kougress’s gluteus minimis but was currently pulled up in a pony-tail, fell around her right shoulder as she leaned forward slightly to get a better look at the orb on the table. The orb they were using was one way the Darkest Faerie was able to keep an eye on everything that was going on. And inside the orb was a scene that depicted a large, black shoyru completely demolishing a dark faerie fleet. Abigail, the kougress, recalled knowing this shoyru once, what seemed like a long time ago….
“Abigail!”
The kougress snapped back to reality at the sound of her name being snarled.
“Have you been listening?” The Darkest Faerie hissed, clearly impatient.
“This shoyru wiped out an entire fleet. He must be stopped” the Darigan repeated.
“Take care of him, Abby” the Darkest Faerie ordered.
Abigail nodded, “gladly” she replied with an evil smirk. In the next moment, the kougress vanished in a puff of purple smoke.

But as it always seemed, as he laid there a kougra came up while he had his eyes closed and stabbed Zuri in the chest with a long sword in the heart. Zuri gasped, and then laughed mockingly. The kougra looked puzzled. He then looked at his sword; it had struck its target but had done nothing. The sword hadn’t even pierced Zuri’s skin. Zuri just starred and watched as the kougra stepped back slowly, as if in fear. Zuri’s eyes turned a blood red and he gave out a demonic battle cry. He jumped up and took out his sword and sliced through the kougra. The kougra fell over, part of him to the left and part of him to the right and Zuri just walked away. “Oi, can’t a guy enjoy the peace every once in a while, good grief.” Zuri then just kept walking. He stared at the massive battle field that was drenched in blood. He looked around at his fallen comrades and looked around at the mass of fairies and Darigans and all other neopets alike. The war of good and evil had grown tremendously over the years now. Now every living thing had to fight for its own life and either for the side of good or evil. Sure there were those in between but it didn’t really matter. For some odd reason this was what all Zuri could think about. He thought way back when he used to hang out with a bunch of people he once knew, but he didn’t know much about them other than those certain two. After thinking and walking a bit Zuri got tired of it. He decided to clear his mind, so he took a large leap into the air and began flapping his wings. Though tattered a bit but they were still good for flying and he could still fly just as fast as he always could. As dangerous as this was, flying out in plain sight, he still did it. After awhile you just stop caring. He was tired and if anything came after him he’d just ignore it as long as he could. May it be fly faster and get away or just dive into the trees. After flying for a bit, luckily unseen he decided to land and walk the rest of the way. He was heading towards Terror Mountain, the rebel base. He was tired of fighting. He had done so for the past 8 hours. Just walking around and fighting, he was tired of it. Being the cautious person he was, every once in a while, he decided to walk the rest of the way. He was always conscience of his surroundings. This went way back when he was always getting chased by the Underground, which luckily had been mostly destroyed long ago. While reminiscing upon this he decided to sit back for a minute while he was still in the cover of the trees.

The kougress re-appeared in a puff of smoke at her intended destination, but to her surprise, couldn’t locate the person she had been sent to find. Traveling between the dimensions took a few minutes, and unfortunately for her, she hadn’t arrived in time to catch the shoyru. This was bad news for her.
She twitched slightly, as the thick smell of blood filled her nostrils. She loved the smell, but unfortunately again, that’s all she could smell; she couldn’t track down the shoyru by using her sense of smell. Now she would just have to think of something else.

Zuri just remained where he was. He just slowly drifted off to sleep. He figured he had time and if he just kind of rolled over behind a log or something he could just kind of blend in enough to take a nap. So that’s what he did. He rolled over a log and got cozy up against the log and decided to take a nap. He was scrunched up against it and not to seeable. He was black in a lump of brown leaves so he was noticeable, just not much. Eventually he just fell asleep on the spot.

Whelp, nothing she could do now, unless she wanted to go back to the Darkest Faerie and report her mission a failure. Of course, doing so would probably mean her getting her head chopped off. Only thing else she could do would be to look around for the shoyru, but all this blood was severely clouding her judgment. She wanted it in the worst way. Her bare toes were saturated in blood, being as she was standing in a puddle of the stuff. How long had it been since she had eaten anyway? With as many people dieing now a-days as there were, she was able to eat everyday without even having to kill anyone. Of course, it was much more fun when you killed the prey yourself. Still, even though she had eaten recently, she couldn't pass up an opportunity like this. Crouching down, she filled the palm of her hand with the warm liquid, then brought it to her mouth and lapped it up.

Zuri then jumped up. He had realized he had left his dagger back at the battle field. He jumped up and said, “Ah shoot. Son of a gun, man. I can’t believe I left that back there.” Zuri then jumped up into the air and blasted out of there. He flew as quickly as he could back to the site. He then landed in a hurry, completely disregarding the kougra that was lapping up blood. He probably just thought of it was another dead body; there were a lot of them lying around. He then ran around frantically trying to find his dagger. “Gosh darn it where is it.” The dagger was the only thing he had left of the passed. It was given to him a long time ago when he once lived in Shenkuu by his sensei. While running around he found it in one of the dead bodies. He pulled it out and said, “Yes.” Which by now after he had found it he looked over to see the kougra he had completely missed.

((Dead bodies drink blood now? XDDD))
Abby jolted to her feet the moment the shoyru came running into the scene. She just kind of watched curiously as he looked around frantically for something, but she wasn't sure for what at first. When she saw him pick up a dagger, she kind of smiled inwardly, and said "did you find what you were looking for?" By now, she was up to her elbows in blood, and it was dripping from her fangs and mouth.

(Lol, hehe yup. Just how blatently he can run by something. So much for always being aware of his surroundings.)
Zuri just kind of smiled now. “Yup, you know it. So what have you been up to?” Zuri just kind of stood there. He didn’t really do anything. He didn’t even pull out his sword or anything. In fact, the only weapon he had out was his dagger in which he decided to put away. He was unarmed and didn’t look as if he was really ready for any sort of battle. Zuri just gave a sigh and stood there. “What to do what to do?” he thought to himself. “If you don’t mind I really don’t want to fight.” The way he was acting you’d think that these two knew each other.

((lol))
Abby grinned widely. "Fight? Who said anything about fighting? Why, that would be so childish, don't you think?"
Again, in a puff of purple smoke, Abby vanished into thin air, and then reappeared right in front of the shoyru. However, she made no hostile actions. She wanted to, but she knew it would be pointless at the moment. "What have I been up to?" That was a tough question to answer. "What do you think I've been up to?" She replied, half smirking.

“Oh, you know. The usual; drinking people’s blood, being the lap dog of the Darkest Faerie, killing lots of people and probably just sitting around doing nothing.” Zuri just smirked at that. Of course it’s not much different than what he’s been up to. He’s been going around killing anything and everything that gets in his way. He’s also been the first to go out into battle for his group. One could say he was pretty much a lap dog himself, but he still did as he pleased. But for now he just stood there and looked into this kougra’s deep black eyes. They were very demonic and disturbing, but to him it seemed normal. His own eyes seemed to begin to glow red now. He really didn’t know why. Maybe some weird staring contest in his own mind. “So was I right?”

Abby continued grinning, "Well, I don't know if I like the term 'dog', but I think you pretty much hit the nail with the hammer. Killing people who oppose her; that's what I've been doing. So where does that leave you then? I mean, you've been opposing her a great deal, after all.... What am I going to do with you?" She swished her tail back and forth, almost playfully.

“Hmmm, that is a good question. I don’t think I have an answer for that. Because you know I won’t come with you and you know us fighting would be completely pointless. Hmmm, what to do, what to do?” Zuri just continued to stand there. He gave a small half smile as he continued to stare into her eyes. “Do you have any ideas?” He asked. Zuri then broke his little staring contest for a moment to pop his back a bit. His spine cracked and popped all the way up. He then popped his shoulder, wrists, and fingers. “Ahhh man that felt good.” He then continued his little staring contest.
