The Xweetok is lying in a hole, underneath the sleepy town, and the glow comes from a little stone she has laid in front of her. Her big ears twitch; she subconciously hears voices above, but pays them no never mind and continues to doze.

Saluki raced ahead of Aki, stopping at the very edge of the hole, pinwheeling her arms again to keep a precarious balance. "What do you think it is?" she asked the lupe, not able to see much besides the light. "It looks kinda like..." she noted, leaning forward to see better, which was obviously not a wise choice. "You see that?" she asked him, pointing and outstretching her entire arm. The resulting movement caused her to lose balance and she plummeted into the hole with a shriek and jangling of ornaments, followed by a thump.
"...Owwww..."

"I think it's a x...," following right behind Saluki, in the middle of his sentence, he also toppled into the hole. "...a xweetok," he said finishing his sentence. With a shooting pain in his lower back, Aki stood up, studying his new surroundings.
"Are you okay?" he asked Saluki.

Azura had been watching the two as they peered into the hole, she grew worried as the gelert continued to lean closer and closer into it. "She's going to find herself in that hole if she's not careful..." She said and sure enough the gelert disappeared into it followed by the lupe. She ran over to the scene and peered over the edge, she couldn't see anything in the hole besides a small like. "Hello?" She called out, her hands cupped around her mouth. She scooted closer to see what exactly was in there but then scooted back again as rocks tumbled down into the hole's depths. Oh, I hope they're ok... She thought, an even worrier look on her face.

"Yeah, I'm fine!" said Saluki, sitting on the ground, legs splayed, and looking around with good natured confusion and curiousity. It was a good thing she was wearing her skirt over pants. "Oh.. HI!" she yelled up at the shape at the edge of the hole, which she soon recognized as the kougra and jumped up to wave furiously, but then realized there was no way the kougra could see her. She cocked her head and held up her glowstick necklace to illuminate her face a bit, "Hello!" she said again, then, conversationally, "This is a really big hole. Be careful not to fall in, the edges are really unsteady!"
To Aki she said, "You're ok, too, right? And there's that light!"

Ivon yawned, slouching on Empathy's back and brushing his hair from his eyes. These lessons from Brightvale couldn't be worth it if he had to wake up at such a god awful hour to get here. Empathy was doing well enough trotting through the earily morning, and didn't seem much bothered by the time.
The young lord was dressed in a dark violet tunic and black pants and boots, all very well made. Between his attire and the saddle of his mount it was hard to mistake him for anything but nobility. Not to mention the silver poecket watch that hung from his belt and the silver earrings in his left ear. His white fur was fairly visible in the dim light, the tips of his hair, mane, and tail, however, would normally have shown a deep, dark red from being dyed. And also would normally clash remarkably with his cerulean blue eyes.
As he made his way closer to the city, he spotted a kougra who seemed to be peering into some kind of ditch. As he got closer, he spoke up.
"Greeting, m'lady" he stopped, catching sight of the gelert in the hole, and the dim orange light along with it.
"Any idea what that girl's doing down there?"

Azura almost jumped when she heard the Xweetok behind her and then looked over when he appeared next to her. She peered back in the hole when the Xweetok leaned over it and then turned back to him once he had gotten a good look. "I don't know... Once moment she's waving at me and the next she's fallen down there..." She said glancing back into the hole again.

He directed his answer to Saluki, but at the same time, he was entranced by the orangeish glow. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said. He wasn't the type of neopet that anounced pain even if he was saverly ((sp?)) injured.
Finally looking away from the light, and giving his attention to the kougra and now, a xweetok he asked, "Do you think, since we have nothing better to do in this hole, that we should figure out what that light is?"

"Well, we could get you out, of course. And might I enquire as to the importance of this light before either of you do anything rash?" the xweetok asked, leaning forward and doing his best to locate the speaker. His use of older language made him sound years older than he actually was, and usually threw people off till they were used to it.

"We should." Saluki agreed, looking over her shoulder at the light, which seemed to glow in a most inviting matter. She then looked up at the speaker, the xweetok, blinking at the large words and struggling to figure them out. "But while we're down here, we might as well find what that light is. Afterall, that's why I fell down here anyways.." the gelert giggled a bit, then fell silent.

The Xweetok is now fully roused by the voices and various fallings. She sits up silently and puts her glowing orange stone into a little pouch hanging from her belt, taking away all the light. She sneaks around and hides behind a pillar.
