((Let's say the plot is... Saluki is wandering about Brightvale and bumps into... Aki. Not many people are around 'cuz it's like, four in the morning. XDDD So they start talking and walking and stuff and fall in a hole.  They find Trei down there, who was like, sleeping or something, and yah. That's all I got so far. XDDD)) |

A white gelert skipped and twirled through the streets of Brightvale, singing softly to herself, but it was barely audible over the blaring noise of the pair of headphones draped around her neck, which were blasting a techno song with what should have been impossible volume. She was given strange glances as she went, by the few people that were out at such an early hour, and none would have been too surprised. Saluki was an anachronism in the medievally-set Brightvale; what with her clothing-impractical and overly bright, technology, and gleeful mannerisms.
Suddenly she stopped, almost tripping in her platform boots. The gelert laughed suddenly, amber eyes wide, to wave at a nearby peasant riding by in a kau-cart - it was Brightvale, the "bastion of knowledge", and in far better circumstances than Meridell, but there where still peasants there. The peasants eyes widened, perhaps stunned by her wardrobe, and he hurridly passed, leaving the gelert to look after him ponderingly, scratching her head a few times. Her hair was something quite to stare at aswell - it was blond, and pulled into a pair of buns, littered with braids, beads, and other such charms, with random streaks of every color of the rainbow scattered whithin it. Over all this she wore a beanie (holes cut for her hair and ears to escape), and a pair of goggles, with biohazard insignia on it.
"Huh." she said aloud, musingly. "People here aren't too friendly."

((I'm going to write all my posts in present tense. ^^ I'm also going to type in this new writing format I've picked up thanks to reading Threshold.  )) A little orange glow illuminates the face of a fire Xweetok sleeping uncomfortably. The glow reflects off her smokey black skin and fiery orange-red-and-yellow, and wild, and very curly hair. A little rat scurries past her; without even moving anything else, and her hand bursts into flames and grabs the rat, and it burns, and she tosses it away. Her hand lies limp, smoking slightly, and she is still sleeping. A closer look and better lighting would reveal she is wearing an orange tank top and black capris. Her feet are bare, and they're dirty but you can't even see it because her skin is so dark, and her flame-looking tail is wrapped around her, her curled in fetal position, the hand that attacked the rat subconsciously lying limp, the arm of it acting as a pillow. |

Aki started walking along the quiet streets of Brightval. Not sure why he choose this place, he decided to take a walk to clear his mind of all the pressure of the past week. Nothing was going right. He just had to get away....
Wallowing in a odd sort of lonelyness, a strang neopet caught his eye. It was skipping along with some sort of techno music blasting from her headphons. It appered to be a gelert. Already the dull scenery seemed brighter.

Saluki danced along a few more steps then suddenly halted, seeing a light. She pinwheeled her arms sevaral times so as not to fall down, but then righted herself, clomping through several puddles to reach the light. When she saw the source, her eyes grew wide, and she glanced around, hoping to find someone to share her discovery with.
Wonder of all wonders, there was, a figure slightly off in the distance. She stared quizically at this, then cast a forlorn glance back at the light, but making her decision, headed for the figure. "Hey!" she said gleefully as she ran, a wonder that she didn't fall flat on her face, "There's this light down there? Can you see it? See... right there!" Saluki pointed.

As Aki walked a bit further, he noticed the gelert running toward him.He finally acknowledge what she had said, and glanced behind himself to see a sparkling light in the distance. In awe
he answered back "Yes...yes i can see it. What do you think it is?"

One of the strange glances that was given to the gelert was from a set of cyan eyes that belonged to a tan kougra. She was eating a chocolate chip muffin as the girl went by with her loud music and her happy-go-lucky attitude. "How can people be so awake this early...?" She muttered, taking another bite of the muffin and wiping her face with the sleeve of her cream colored shirt. She continued to watch the girl until she finished her breakfast and got up, wiping all of the crumbs off her blue-jean shorts before picking up her khaki shoulder bag and heading down the street, the same direction the gelert girl had went. She seemed to fit pretty well in her surroundings, she was tan and wore modern clothing. Two tarnished gold rings hung from her swaying tail, able to stay on for a tuff of dark brown hair stopped them from falling off. Her long hair was neatly brushed and pulled back into a ponytail. Her name was Azura and she was cool...
((bleh I got tired at the end xD))

She cocked her head, then began to absentmindedly chew on a fingernail. "I really don't know.. oh.. hold on.." She fumbled in one of her pant's many pockets, brought out a small music player, and clicked a button, silencing her headphones. She then smiled up at the lupe, or down, more like, for she was quite tall to begin with, and the shoes she wore didn't help matters much.
She turned on her heel and began to walk towards the glow, seeing the kougra and waving at her, "Okay!" she called back to the lupe, "..uh..." She turned around again. "What's your name? I'm Saluki!"

Once again Aki noticed the flickering light behind him and then looking back at the gelert, he waited for her to catch up. "Who did you wave to back there?" He said this with a gloomy sort of tone but at the same time, the question had a deep, curious thought about it. The black fur on his back slowly went up as the strange figure behind the gelert crept closer and closer. "Oh, and by the way, my name is Aki."

"Hiya Aki!" said Saluki, nodding. "And I was waving to that girl.." she said, pointing at the kougra. Not many were up at this hour, so she would pass her morning greetings on whoever she could. She continued walking for several moments more in silence before finally saying, "Man, it's quiet around here. Most people are probably sleeping.." Thinking about this for a moment her face suddenly became rapt with expression, "Ohyeah! The light! Let's find out what it is!"
