chapter fifteen--triforce united, alive again
He dropped Link and woke him up. Then he laughed and held up his hand. All 3 Triforce pieces were glowing.
Link was near passing out or death, he didn't know which. All he know was Ganon had all three Triforce parts, Zelda was died, Danal may or may not be died too, and when Ganon blasted his dagger that it had slightly cut into his wrist.
Ganon noticed the dagger in Link's wrist and shrugged. "I've no need for you now," he said. He started to blast at Danal.
Zelda hurried over to Link and tried to pull the dagger out, but her hands went right though it. She closed her eyes and felt power fill her up. Her hands became solid and pulled out the dagger. She threw it at Ganon, saying, "Stay away from my child!" even though no one could hear it. She quickly muttered some words and waved her once again ghost hands over Link's wrist. It healed up immediately.
The dagger flew through the air and hit Ganon in the back of the head. He yanked it out and healed his wound, then took the dagger and threw it back at Link.
Link dodged the dagger and cocked a Light Arrow. He lower his bow and looked at it. " That would help..." he muttered under his breath. Tossing his bow and quiver to the side, he grabbed his blade and went after Ganon. Ganon got hit by Link, but then healed himself and summoned an invisible force field. "I've had it with you, kid!" he said, and formed a light ball in his hands. The power of all 3 Triforce pieces formed inside the ball. He blasted it at Link. Zelda's ghost jumped in front of it and the blow didn't go through her. She felt herself empty and opened her eyes to see herself lying on the ground. She was back in her body.
Danal looked over at Zelda. 'Dad! Mom lives!' He said to Link in a message.
Link quickly glanced over at Danal confused. 'What! Zelda!' Link tried to message both, then attack Ganon once more.
Zelda stood up and looked at herself. She smiled. She was alive again. She looked up and her smile instantly faded when she saw Ganon's hand. She looked at Link. "Link! He took your Triforce piece!"
Ganon heard Zelda's voice and was shocked by it. He stared blankly at her. "You're...alive!" he asked in astonishment and rage.
Link attacked Ganon while he was preoccupied. “Um... It would seem that way...”

chapter sixteen--i'm still half dead
Ganon was too shocked that Zelda had come back that he got hit by Link's attack severely. Forgetting to heal himself in all his confusion and anger, he stood back up and blasted Zelda, who dodged it and attacked him back. He fell on the ground. Zelda muttered a few words and then a glowing light surrounded her and Ganon. The light faded and the Triforce of Wisdom glowed on her hand. She smiled in triumph. Ganon stood up and knocked her down. He looked at his hand and yelled in rage.
"NO ONE RETURNS FROM THE DEAD AND STEALS A PIECE OF THE TRIFORCE FROM ME WITHOUT DYING AGAIN!" he yelled at her. He blasted a lightning ball at her.
Link stepped in front of Zelda, taking the blast for her and get thrown against one of the void walls. 'G...Get mine...' He managed to message Zelda.
Zelda held up her hands and formed her own light ball. She threw it at Ganon who fell to the ground, stunned. She closed her eyes, held up her hands and two light hands emerged out of them. The left one picked up Link and the other picked up Ganon. She brought them together and formed another ball of light. It surrounded Link and Ganon. She muttered more words and then the light left. Ganon's hand was left with one piece and Link's had one. She smiled. Ganon stood up angrily and blasted her with his Power. Zelda was just about to run out of the way when it hit her. Link got a bit unsteadily to his feet, but soon made his way over to where he had thrown his bow and quiver. He quickly cocked and sent a Light Arrow at Ganon.
Zelda expected to feel some searing pain, or at least a shock, but what she felt surprised her. She felt nothing. She opened her eyes to see Ganon in shock. He blasted her again, and she didn't move. The blast came right at her, and she saw it go through her, but she turned around to see it hitting the void wall and diminishing. She held up her hand. It vanished, then reappeared. She walked up to Link and touched his face. Only, her hand didn't feel his face--it went right through his head. She pulled back, then touched him again. This time she felt him. Zelda stepped back, curled her hand into a fist and smirked at Ganon.
Link looked at Zelda with confusion. "Um... Alright then.." He muttered, confused, then looked around quickly for Danal who was staying out ofthe way. He quickly cocked another Light Arrow and sent it, then several more, one right after the other.
Ganon was so shocked at Zelda's supposedly newfound 'power' that he didn't even notice Link's attacks. They hurt him, of course, but he didn't even notice that he was being hit. Finally he noticed and then tried to heal himself. He couldn't. "Argh! Only the Triforce of Wisdom allows one to heal one!" he growled. He glared at Zelda.
Zelda jumped into the air and hovered in it. Ganon did the same. I'll distract him, she messaged Link, and you hit him with the Light Arrows.
“Alright then..” Link replied, then sent a bunch of Light Arrows at Ganon, one right after the other.
All the while, Zelda distracted Ganon from attacking Link by calling out rude remarks in smart-alecky tones. She acted like an extremely rude seven-year-old girl who was very stubborn and self absorbed. It attracted Ganon's attention by far, and finally she was able to signal Link to stop and she got ready to blast him into oblivion.
Link nodded and slightly lowered his bow, but kept an arrow cocked and ready if needed.
Ganon fell to the ground. "Now, Link," Zelda said. She powered up the sword in his case. "This one, I promise you, will be the very, very last blow."
Link slightly shrugged, drawing his blade then jump attacking Ganon.
The blade sunk into Ganon. He yelled out with his last breath, "Curse you, Link! Curse you, Zelda! Curse you, kid, and all the sages, curse the world! I will come back in a reincarnation! That's when I shall reek havoc on your descendants!" He vanished and Zelda, Link and Danal found themselves right outside of the castle.
Danal stood unsteadily and started to fall forward. Link quickly reached down and picked up the weak boy. "Come on... Else get this over with." Link whispered, a bit surprised to find he was breathing a bit hard.
"Get what over with?" Zelda asked.
"Telling your parents what happened..." Link replied, shifting Danal in his arms slightly. The young boy was either asleep or passed out, Link wasn't sure which.
"Oh, well, there's something I should tell you, Link..." Zelda hesitated. "Ganon killed my parents while you were out looking for me and Danal. I saw him change the screen. He shocked them to death. They're gone."
"What!" Link whispered shock and almost dropped Danal, but didn't. "Oh, no... I am so sorry, Zelda..."
"It's...okay." Zelda looked up at Link, then turned away. "Come on, let's take Danal to the doctor. I think there's a hospital inside of the castle."
Link nodded. "Yeah... And quick!" He added, after placing the back of his hand on the young kid's abnormally warm forehead.
Zelda grabbed Link's hand. She closed her eyes. She opened them to find herself outside the hospital door in the castle.
Link took Zelda's hand and flipped it palm up and placed the back of her hand to Danal's warm forehead. "That's why." Link explained, pushing open the door.
"What's why?" Zelda asked. She had no clue, really, what he was talking about.
"Why I said to hurry. Danal's feverish." Link explained.
"Oh, okay." Zelda rushed up to the nearest nurse and explained that Danal was feverish and needed immediate treatment. The nurse nodded and took Danal into a separate room. Zelda was alone with Link and the silence was awkward.
Link sat down, messing with an arrow and unsure what to say or do... Zelda was luck, but there was no telling about Danal...
Finally Zelda broke the silence. "How do you think I did it? Back there? With the powers?"
"Huh? The powers you got? I'm guessing from being in the Spirt World." Link replied, still fiddling with the arrow.
Zelda examined her hand. She grabbed Link's. Suddenly her hand went right through his. She took it out and it became solid again. "I have a hunch...of what this is..."
Link almost jumped at Zelda's hand passing through his. "For the love of Nayru, will you stop that? That's feels weird... What do you think?"
"Sorry," Zelda apologized. "I...Well, it's complicated, but I think that when I came back to life, I didn't come back...completely."
"It is fine... Just don't do it again... Possibly... Think Nabooru would know? Seeing is she is the Spirit Temple Sage.." Link wondered, going back to messing with the arrow.
"No, it's just...I think I'm still part ghost. So, technically speaking..." Zelda hesitated, then said, "Technically, I'm still dead. But just a little."
"Oh..." Link quietly whispered, looking down at the arrow.
Zelda tried to brighten things up. "Look on the bright side," she said. "At least I'm not completely dead. Then I wouldn't be here right now. All it's left me with is freaky 'powers'." "Yeah... I guess..." Link whispered, then got up and started to walk out.
"Wait, Link, don't go." Zelda stood up and put a hand on Link's shoulder. She didn't put her hand's weight on it so that if her hand did try to go through his shoulder it wouldn't. She turned him around to face her.
Link looked down and away, refusing to look at Zelda. He was still blaming himself for the way Danal and Zelda w ere.
"It's okay, Link," Zelda insisted. "Don't get so worked up over it. I'm fine and I'm sure Danal will be fine too."
Link shook his head. "No, its not... You are both in the shape you are in because of me..." He whispered sadly.
"We're both fine," Zelda said. "Danal's just a bit feverish is all. And me...well, forget about that. And anyway, how would any of this be your fault?"
"The fact I let him take control over me... Then ended up hitting Danal with my attacks instead of Ganon... So we hope..." Link said sadly, still not looking at Zelda. Zelda frowned. "You couldn't have done anything about it. Ganon had my piece with him at the time he controlled you until my death, and then when he got yours he was invincible. But we were able to outwit him, Link! We won. And we're all okay. Isn't that what counts?" "Yeah... But still... He used me to get rid of the two of you..." Link muttered, slightly looking up.
"But he failed, Link. He used you, yes, but he didn't succeed in getting rid of us." She put her finger under his chin and lifted his face up. Tears were forming in her eyes as she looked into his. "We're still here." She kissed Link on his lips and closed her eyes; the tears pushed out of her eyes and rolled down her cheek onto Link's.
Link returned it and hugged Zelda close.

chapter seventeen--memory wipeouts
"I'm sure Danal will be just fine," Zelda said. "Just don't jump to such conclusions that he's going to die or worse. He was just a bit feverish and--"
Just then the doctor came out. "He's fine. Physically," she said. "A little feverish is all."
Link sighed and slightly relaxed. "Thank Din for that.." he muttered.
"But wait," Zelda said, "What do you mean, physically? Is something wrong with him?"
"No, no, not at all, your Highness, just--" The doctor sighed and hung her head. "It's just he's lost his memory and doesn't know who or where he is. I don't know if this is just temporary or permanent, but--"
"What!" Zelda cried. "My son has amnesia?!"
Link looked at the doctor horrified. "What do you mean, Danal has amnesia?" He shouted.
"I mean--" the doctor began, but then shook her head. She walked to the door of the room Danal was in and opened it. "Go in, see for yourself." Zelda began to take Link's hand, but it became transparent again and she didn't. She began walking toward the door.
Link walked by Zelda and nodded. "I'll live... Go ahead." He whispered to her, extending his hand.
Zelda exhaled slowly and squeezed her eyes shut. She grabbed Link's hand and felt her own as a solid. She opened her eyes and smiled. Then she walked with him into the room where Danal was lying in a bed, looking out the window. “I'll leave you three alone." She shut the door.
Zelda sat on the foot of Danal's bed. "Danal?" she asked him softly.
Danal looked over at the two, confusion plainly seen. He tilted his head to the side as if he didn't understand. Link stood beside Zelda."Danal..." He whispered sadly.
Zelda placed her hand on Danal's. It nearly broke her heart to see him flinch at her touch and so she pulled back. "Danal, do you know who I am?" she asked.
Danal shook his head. "N...No..." He whispered quietly.
"Either of us? Do you know who either of us are?" Link asked gently. Once again, Danal shook his head.
Zelda frowned. "Danal...do you know who...you...are?"
Link looked worriedly at Zelda as the young boy shook his head once more. "Would you believe us if we told you who we and you are?" Link asked Danal, who just shrugged.
"Danal, this is your father, and I'm your mother. Do you not remember us, honey?" She put Danal's hand into hers again.
Danal looked at Zelda wide-eyed and slightly nodded. "Oh Din... Danal!" Link whispered.
"Well, then...do you remember this?" Zelda asked, squeezing him in one of the bear hugs she used to give him. Maybe that would jog his memory more?
"Eep! Zel... Mom!" Danal squealed. "Danal!" Link exclaimed, joining in the hug.
Zelda unwrapped one of her arms from Danal and put it around Link. She was an expert at big bear hugs. But then she felt a shiver up her spine and let go of them before falling towards the ground and then vanishing in midair.
"MOM!" Danal screamed, his voice slightly drowned out.
“Zelda!” Link said at the same time as Danal.
Zelda reappeared across the room in midair about 2 seconds later, in the same position she'd been in. She fell to the ground. She stood up, shook her head and put her palm on her forehead. She staggered back over to the bed. Danal and Link looked at her slightly shaken. Link went over and helped Zelda. "What was that about?" Link asked.
"Dunno," Zelda admitted. "One minute, I was on the bed hugging you both, then something pushed me over, and the next minute, I'm way over there." "Something pushed you?" Link asked slightly confused, We're going to have to ask Nabro about this..." He added under his breath. "Mom... Are you a..." Danal started, the stopped, shaking his head.
Zelda suddenly heard what Danal was going to finish his sentance with, even though she never saw his lips actually form the words. "Yes, Danal. When I died, my ghost ran in front of your father and I came back when Ganon hit me. I've come back, but I'm still a little dead. In other words, I'm part ghost."
Danal looked at Zelda slightly confused and shocked. "R..Really?" He asked her.
Link nodded, "Or it seems that way..."
"I don't know if it's a good thing, Danal. It may mean I'm...no, never mind."
"Never going to be normal again?" Danal asked.
"No, I'm not worried about that, Danal, I've never been normal...none of us have. It's just...nevermind." She looked at Link. "Should we visit Nabooru just myself or you and me or with Danal once he gets well?"
Link shrugged. "See if we can get her to come here..."
"Um... Alright then..." Danal muttered..
"That works, too," Zelda said, "but I think I might just go to see her myself. I'll go now and be back in a few hours."
"Its my fault to begin with. I'm coming or she can come here." Link told Zelda.
"Dad... Its not your fault..." Danal whispered.
But Zelda never heard Link. She had her eyes closed, and her whole body was glowing. She waved at Link, said with a voice as gentle and flowing as a goddess's, "Don't worry, I'll be back safe," and then vanished.
"I don't think she heard you..." Danal stated.
Zelda felt herself fall inside a tunnel. She saw a door in front of her. It read: "Which destination?" She walked up to it and put in "To Nabooru's whereabouts." She entered in and the door opened, sucking her into a swirling vortex. She closed her eyes to keep from becoming nauseous, then opened them when she felt herself on solid ground. She opened her eyes. She was lying on the ground a few feet away from Nabooru. Danal and Link awaited for Zelda to return.
Nabooru heard Zelda hit the ground and turned around. She smiled and said, "Hey, Zelda!" Then she helped her up. "What's up?"
"Nabooru, I need to speak to you."
"About what?" Zelda replied by touching Nabooru's hand, going through her, and coming out. "Oh...I see. What happened?" Zelda explained the battle with Ganon and how she died and came back and everything. When she was done, Nabooru's eyes were wide with fear. "Oy...this is not good," she muttered.
"Come again?"
"It's nothing, really." Zelda gave Nabooru 'the look' that always stared people down until they gave in. "All right, all right! Just quit staring at me like that. It's disturbing." She continued when Zelda stopped.
"Okay, so listen close. When someone dies, they're doomed to remain in the spirit world as a ghost forever, for the rest of eternity. The ghosts there who were murdered or died of anything not of old age, they are fully restless and able to communicate with the human world. You ran in front of Link to save him, knowing that it wouldn't do much but was worth a shot. Ganon's blast, meant for Link, hit you instead, and since you were attempting to save him, and you did it out of pure love, you were brought back. But, like you said, not completely. You are still dead, Zelda, but you're alive, too. You're now half and half. Your ghost half is restless and is determined to make you do dangerous stunts until you die and allow yourself back into the spirit world where you belong. But since you are half alive, that gives you an advantage over the stunts. If you are able to learn to control your ghost half, calm it, and then live out the rest of your life, then when you die of old age like you should, your ghost will be eternally happy and complete."
"So...you're saying I should kill myself?" Zelda asked.
"No, no, of course not! That's not what I said at all! What I meant was that while you are alive, you are still dead, and in being that way, your soul is forever restless. I should know. My mother was the same. Her ghost ended up killing herself."
"Really? I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. Really. Anyway, you should go back to Link and Danal. But you must do one thing: erase the memory of your coming back to life and leave them forever. You can never see them again."
"What?"
"I'm not kidding around. You're of the dead, and the half-dead like you have a choice to make: to live with people who don't know you or that you died, or to die again. Now do you really want to taste death again?"
"No, but I don't want to break Link and Danal's hearts... again."
"It's the only way." She handed Zelda a necklace with a white gem. "Put it around both of their necks. It will fill with their memories, and then take the necklace with you. It's not a choice, really. You have to do so or you automatically die."
Zelda hesitated, then took the gem. "I'll transport you back," Nabooru said. Zelda closed her eyes and opened them to find herself back with Link and Danal.
Link stirred. "Hey Zelda...How did it go?" he asked, yawning.
"Mom!" Danal exclaimed awaking to see Zelda back.
Zelda held out the necklace and stammered, "I h-have s-something for y-you two."
"Zelda... What's wrong?" Link asked her.
Zelda cleared her throat and forced a smile. "Nothing's wrong. I've just had a bumpy ride, is all." Just then she felt something inside her control what she said next. "Anyway, Nabooru wanted me to give this to you two. Link, put it on and see how it looks. Then I'll take it off and give it to Danal. We'll see who it looks better on." And who's more heartbroken, a wicked voice (that sounded just like her own, in an evil way) inside her head told her. She'd meant to throw away the necklace and say, 'So anyway, what happened while I was gone?' but something inside her forced her to not do so. It put the necklace around Link. That's it, that's a good girl...keep going... She backed away and then something clicked inside her head. The necklace began to shock Link.
"Dad!" Danal screamed, scared by what the thing was doing. Restitedthe thing as much as he could. Unsteadily, he reached up and grabbed at it, then tried to break the chain...
But the chain of the necklace got too strong and shocked him even harder. The necklace filled up with Link's memory; the white gem filled with black. Then it stopped shocking him when it became full and Zelda was forced to take it off and put it onto a struggling Danal, leaving Link lying limp on the bed. "I'm sorry, you two," she said, tears welling into her eyes. The necklace did the same for Danal. He laid in a heap next to Link. Zelda took off the necklace and sat on the floor, heartbroken that she'd caused her two loved ones so much pain.
What's wrong with you, weakling? the voice asked sharply. Love is for weaklings like you. But with me, you'll be stronger. Love will empty you. Now, disguise yourself in that nice Sheik outfit and head out! You are never again allowed to set food in Hyrule. Zelda quickly kissed Danal on the cheek, then Link on the lips. A tear rolled off her cheek and onto Link's face. She began to sob heavily. Closing her eyes, she wished for herself to leave. She opened them and found herself standing outside the barrier to Hyrule.
Link came to confused and slightly dazed. He put a hand to his throbbing head and quickly looked around the room, unsure where he was or how he got there; his eyes landed on Danal. He gently shook his head, trying but failing on no make his head ache worst. Playing the first thing that came to mind, he warped out to the Lake.

chapter eighteen--the voice in my head
The little voice inside Zelda's head grew angry. What is the MATTER with you?! Sobbing uncontrollably just because two losers who you think you love lost their memory and still think you're dead? "Shut up!" Zelda told the voice. She was forced up and walked, against her will, farther and farther away from her home of Hyrule. Pathetic girl, the voice said. You have no self control. "Get out! Get out, I say!" Never. The voice laughed. The laugh echoed in Zelda's ears.
She knew that Link and Danal would wake up knowing that Ganon was defeated, but they wouldn't know how, and they would still think she was dead. This made her sob even more uncontrollably. Her hand smacked her across the face.
Link sat down at the Lake's bank, his head in his hands. He sighed, rubbing temples, trying to clear the confusion and head ache. 'What happened? And what did I do?' he thought.
Zelda was still fighting with the voice, and while they argued, Zelda's feet swept her farther and farther away from Hyrule. Before she even noticed it, she'd passed by Clocktown, Tremain, and was heading for a strange field she'd never seen before. It was as vast as could be, and all she could see for miles was grass and the occasional flower.
Link took out an arrow and started to mess with it. He sighed, then noticed the scar the had formed on his wrist.. 'How long has that been there?' Link stared out at the Lake, still fiddling with the arrow. He looked out at it sadly, remembering how things where before Ganon used him, Danal's reaction to seeing other Hylian types, how happy they had been... He sighed and was brought back the world by NightWind's gently nuzzling.
Link slowly got to his feet, standing by NightWind. The stallion looked at Link curiously. Link put a hand on the stallion's neck. "Its nothing NightWind.." He whispered quietly to him as they walked out to the field. They towards the Hyrule border without realizing it, Link absorbed back into his own world of thought...
Zelda lied down on the lush green grass of the field and stared at the sky, feeling as though she could get lost in it’s vastness of blue easier than in the Lost Woods. The thought filled her with memories and tears began to well up again. The clouds seemed to be formed into the shape of Danal playing in the courtyard, but soon drifted away. The brilliant blue sky filled her with pain and grief as it reminded her of Link’s eyes. She felt guilty about getting lost in the sky when she should be trapped in Link’s eyes instead. But, sadly, she knew she could never get lost in them ever again. She closed her eyes to escape the sky and fell into a deep sleep.
Danal had awoken a bit after Link had left. He looked around, confused, then went back to sleep, trying to clear his head.
Inside Zelda’s dream, she and someone who looked just like her were fighting through magic. She could sense that if she lost, she would lose more than just hopes of a happy dream.
NightWind nuzzled Link, trying to get his attention that they where walking through Tremain. Link rubbed the stallion's neck, fully unaware of where they were.

chapter nineteen--playing with fire
A few hours later, Zelda awoke. But was it really Zelda? Her eyes glowed fiery red; her nails and lips the same color; her hair changed to black with flaming red tips; a black dress with red cut-off sleeves, red rims and flames sewn on the sides; and earrings that resembled not the Triforce but fire. She stood up and examined herself. “I’ve been reborn,” she said in a voice that sounded nothing like her ordinary voice, more milky and smooth like a goddess’s, but with rough and fiery edges with it. ‘Zelda’ lifted her arms and flames rose from the ground. They spread out across the field faster than you could imagine. A fiery ring encircled her and then curled up into a protective dome.
NightWind reared and neighed, finally bringing Link out of his daze. "What the...? Where are we?" He whispered, jumping on the stallion when he landed. NightWind trotted, hesitant of the flames. "NightWind, come on!" Link whispered, trying to get the stallion to move faster. NightWind tossed his head and moved faster towards where the fire had started.
Link jumped off NightWind a few feet from the flaming dome. The spooked stallion reared and bolted away from the area. Link sighed and shook his head, then looked over the dome. "Strange... It seems to be a larger Din's Fire..." He muttered to himself.
‘Zelda’ noticed Link and eyed him cautiously. “Who’s this?” she muttered to herself.
Link got back to his feet and looked at her, surprised. 'I think I know her from somewhere...but where!' He wondered to himself, looking at her. H shook his head then shot a Light Arrow at her.
The flaming dome swallowed the Light arrow and burned it. ‘Zelda’ looked up at the blackened smoke-filled sky, satisfied. “If these flames destroy not or burn this world, let ashes of poison flow into the lungs of others to kill them. Let the ashes and flames of my fury and pain destroy this horrid planet of pain and suffering, then let my body wander the dead earth until it itself dies and then let my spirit wander for all eternity. I shall grieve the losses, but that will last not forever. Rid this planet of life so that no one shall ever again have to suffer what I’ve suffered, feel the pain I’ve felt, love the ones I loved.”
Link shook his head, not believing what she had said. He quickly sent an Ice Arrow then a Light Arrow at her. 'Why does she want to destroy everything? Why?'
“Let the flames of fury and the ashes of pain breathe the breath of death down the necks of all, then let them taste the sick taste of death for good.” She looked over at Link. Her eye color was red, with a small fire burning inside her pupil. A tentacle whipped out of the dome and grabbed Link, pulling him into a wall of flame.
Link fought to remain awake, but was slowly losing. He last thought turned to one thing, He quickly whistled the 'Song of Storms' before passing out from the extreme heat.
‘Zelda’ laughed. The rain poured onto the fire, but it only made the flames raise higher and the dome grow larger.
Link slightly awoke only to see the growing flame dome. He looked at it confused, not grasping why the rain wasn't slowing the fire. It brought him back to his senses and he continued to fight out of the tentacle.
She let the tentacle fling Link out of the flame just as the rain stopped.
"Who are you?" Link managed to ask, getting shakily to his feet. He glared at her, drawing his blade.
“That really is none of your business, now then, is it?” She smirked and whistled a long, high-pitched whistle. The Death Mountain volcano spewed lava and Volvagia the fire dragon emerged from it. He flew over to Zelda.
Link looked up at Volvagia. "Oh... Din..." He muttered, stepping back. He aimed his bow at the dragon, sending several Light Arrows one after another.
Zelda knocked away the Light Arrows with a shield of fire and then Volvagia burned Link's bow to ashes. "Fool! A Light Arrow? Do you even begin to realize how pathetic that is?" Volvagia snorted and blew a stream of flame into the air. "Let me clue you in on the real world. Earth defeats water and electricity. Light defeats dark. Electricity defeats water, earth, and dark. And fire? Fire is a highly powerful element. Fire can defeat earth, light, dark, electricity, rock, ice, and life!" "Don't lecture me! And your wrong! You forgot one thing!" Link shouted at her, drawing his blade and attempting to charge it with his Triforce.
Zelda laughed wickedly. "What's a pathetic sword going to do?"
Link glanced up at Zelda through half opened eyes, but didn't say anything, only focusing on trying to power up he blade. He guessed it was work because his Triforce was slightly glowing now.
Zelda didn't notice his Triforce piece glowing. "What, planning to battle from up there?" Link teased, his blade charged. "I have power over the elements of not only fire but air as well," she said simply. "I have no need to be on the ground. But, if you insist..." She hopped off Volvagia. "Volvagia," she commanded sweetly, "Go along and burn everything in sight. I have to teach this man a lesson." The dragon gladly obeyed and flew off, while Zelda blasted Link with a fire stream.
Link stepped mostly out of the way of the fire stream, but got slightly bunred on the arm. "Sure... Control over fire and air, big deal..." He muttered, "Ganon..." Then shouted, "He's poisoned you mind and soul, hasn't he?" He carefully started to come closer to her.
"Ganon?" Zelda laughed again. "Ganon has been dead for quite a while now. This is not of his work." "Died, no. Only sealed." Link corrected almost automatically, stopping less than a foot from here and attacked her with his blade.
Zelda got hit by his sword and was flung back a few feet. She screamed; it wasn't a scream that resembled her new voice or laugh. It resembled her original scream, the one anyone who'd heard her scream before would remember.
"ZELDA?" Link exclaimed running over to her. "But you died!" He looked at her purely confused.
Zelda sat up, shook her head, and examined the pain in her side. Her dress had been ripped on the side and a large bleeding wound was in its place. She glared at Link and stood. "I am not Zelda! Not anymore!" She blasted Link with another stream of fire.
Link was blasted back a few feet. He slightly shook his head and looked up at her coldly. "If your not her, then you have no right to be using my wife's body!" He shouted, throwing his sword at her.
The sword went through Zelda's arm. She screamed again in her regular voice. "Link!" she cried, her voice the same, her pupils shrunken to normal size. She shook her head and they grew again and burned an angry red. "I am not using anyone's body. This IS MY OWN!"
Link looked at with a looked mixed confusion and blank.. "Then who are you sharing it with!" He asked puzzled, running up to her and grabbing his sword.
Zelda glared at him and blasted him with more fire. "That is none of your concern!"
Once more, Link was blasted back a few feet and burned even more. He looked at her coldly. "It is if your sharing her body!"
Zelda sighed. The angry fire in her eyes was still raging. "I was Zelda, but I'm not Zelda anymore. The old Zelda is dead, like you think. This is the new me."
"And you left us!" Link asked her, trying to make sense of this. He held his sword ready to block or throw.
"You have the memory of your last battle with Ganon. You don't know what happened after I died. And we must keep it that way or else I shall die again." The fire in her eyes died down a bit, to only a soft ember. Her voice returned to normal. "Link, you do not want to taste death and then come back knowing that you must taste it again. When you die, please don't come back. It's not worth it."
Link's hand with his sword fell to his side. He looked at Zelda."Zelda... There has to be away... Don't do this.." He whispered, sadness creeping into his voice.
"I can't," Zelda said. The tears rolling down her cheeks evaporated in the heat emerging from her face. "There's no other way. I'm not doing this, Link. She is."
"Nabooru!" Link growled. "Please.. There has to be a way... Something we can do..." He pleaed, his tone changing quickly.
"NO! Link, Nabooru has nothing to do with this. I thought it was all her fault, but it's not, I know that for a fact! Inside of me, her anger boiled over and the next thing I knew, I'm wearing these clothes and burning the land, and my voice is different and my thoughts weren't even under my control! Link, all of them were under her control, not mine!" Link resided taking a step forward and extending a hand to her. "Remember what I told you, six years ago? Remember what happen when you Danal reminded me of that? Draw strenght from it. Remember went I told you theonly thing stronger than our love was the Triforce?"
"I know, but..." Zelda shook her head involuntarily. She looked up. The fire in her eyes was back to a rage, and her voice was different again. "You are the problem in my life, Link. You killed me once and now you're killing me again!" She involuntarily blasted Link with a river of fire. Link was blasted back a few feet again. He weakly staggered shakily to his feet., completely burned. "What am I to do?" He started, pausing fora bit, "You're killing me now..."
"As revenge, Link, revenge!" She whistled again and Volvagia returned. She hopped back on him and they flew into the air. "Burn him to the bone!"
Link looked down and away, his eyes closed. He waited. "You've become evil like him..." He whispered sadly.
"Enough!" Zelda yelled at him. "This is a battle that you cannot win. I will kill this pathetic planet and rid it of the pain it gives in the process. Then I shall rid myself of my own life and I will be restless no more!"

chapter twenty--killed by him again
"Pain and sorrow will be with you no matter what. It is part of living. You try to instill fear, but by doing so you show how weak you are. Your not restless, just lost and confused. I know I can't win this battle, but let me help you win yours. The one you two souls are in. Let me led you to a resting point that both can agree on. Don't do this, its not too late. Not now at least. Please Zelda, you have more to live for than this. You are lost, but think about how lost Danal will be with out you. Think about how lost I'll be with out you around to be with. Zelda, let me help you find your way back to us." Link said, trying to break through to her.
Zelda was silence for a moment. She closed her eyes and tried to let this all sink in. Finally, she said, "Lies. That is all lies. Why should I suffer? Why should I make others suffer because I don't want to suffer myself? I've a choice; to lose my life again and hurt you all or rid everyone of their lives so I've no one to hurt." She opened her eyes. "And I've chosen the second option."
"If you don't want to suffer, don't destroy everything. If you want to end your suffering, take this," Link said sadly, holding out a dagger. "Across the wrist and you'll be out of your suffering. Now this my love, by doing that, more people will suffer. Is ending your suffering worth enough to put all of Hyrule into morning over your self inflicted death? Please rethink this. There's another way, but you have to trust me. Is that too hard to do?" "I--don't." Dark Zelda took the dagger. "I don't need you," she snarled. "Or anyone else. I am not a living thing, and I want this pathetic girl I'm stuck with to know that too." Dark Zelda jabbed the dagger inside her and yanked it out. Zelda screamed while her spirit cut her. "You like that? You like that! HAVE SOME MORE!" The spirit thrust the dagger into her chest, right above her heart.
Link turned. "You do need help, you just don't see it. Your soul has gone dark and blind you to the light. I'm sorry you can't see it. You need all the help you can get. You won't take the hand that's offered to help you on your way." He said, then started to walk off. Zelda, the real Zelda, cried out in pain. "Link, Link help me!" Zelda's spirit, her ghost, plunged the dagger into her heart and Zelda's eyes closed. She fell to the ground. Rain suddenly began to pour and doused most of the fire. Flames still licked the air, trying to survive, as Zelda's ghost emerged from her body. It was a black figure. It held Zelda up and yanked out the dagger. She handed it to Link.
"Kill her," it ordered. "Plunge the dagger into her heart and kill her. Then I shall be peaceful."
Link turned and ran back to Zelda. "If I kill her, then only you'll win. I can't kill her..." He replied sharply at the ghost, drawing the dagger. He took her body and laid her down, then closed his eyes and focused on drawing power from his Triforce and trying to heal Zelda.
The ghost growled. Zelda's arm lifted and smacked Link across the face. "I still have control," it said. "After all, she is my shell. Now, do as I say and kill her! NOW!"
Link took the dagger and threw it at the ghost, knowing it would do nothing, but it might get his point across. He held his hands over Zelda's chest wound, healing it to a point.
The dagger went through the ghost. It growled and the dagger flew back into it's hand. She slashed at Link's wrist to stop him from healing her. Luckily for Link, it wasn't the underside with all the veins.
Link payed no attention to the wound, but was aware that he'd have to heal it... If he could. The only thing he was focused on was trying to heal Zelda, himself second.
"For the last time..." the ghost snarled, entering Link's body and taking control. "KILL HER!" She had Link's hand take the dagger and made him plunge it so far into Zelda's heart that the only thing sticking out was the handle. She left Link and laughed.
Link fell to his knees and held Zelda's body close. "Not twice... Not again..." He whispered sadly.
Zelda's eyes had opened when the dagger went inside her heart, and they remained open. The ghost laughed as she watched her blue eyes empty into a cold gray. The ghost was becoming less than a black blob and more of a transparent figure of Zelda. "Oh, boohoo," the ghost mocked. "Poor Linky here has been controlled by Ganon and me and killed his own wife twice in less than two days!"
"Oh Zelda... I'm so sorry..." Link whispered sadly, closing his eyes, "Forgive me..."
Another ghost formed next to the other, this one white. They both resembled Zelda, only one was Zelda, Queen of Hyrule, Mother of Danal and Wife of Link, and the other was Dark Zelda. "Link, I forgive you," said Zelda in a quiet, sad voice.
"Thank you... I will forever miss you..." Link whispered sadly, looking her.
Dark Zelda scoffed. "I'm out," she said. She vanished. Zelda stepped toward Link. She kneeled down, tears in her eyes.
"I don't think I should come back, Link," she admitted. "I've tasted death twice in one day and I'm sick of it. I don't want to come back just to taste it again and hurt you all again."
"I wish you would..." Link admitted sadly, "But, I understand. Danal and I will deeply miss you." He longed to have her physically by him like before.
"I know it's hard," she said, tears rolling down her cheeks. "But I just don't want to hurt you or Danal or anyone else again. I don't want to come back and get your hopes up, just to have me suffer from all that pain again and lose my life." She burst into sobs. "You wouldn't want me to be in pain, would you?"
"I don't want you to suffer. You know that." Link whispered sadly, reaching out to her. He knew, but didn't care that he was starting to lose his self control.
Zelda grabbed Link's hand, forgetting she was a ghost, and it went through him. She sobbed harder. "Link, this isn't fair! Why did all this have to happen to us?"
"I don't know... Its like he's cursed us." Link replied sadly. "Tremain!" He exclaimed, getting an idea how they might be able to still be together.
"What are you thinking about?" Zelda asked. "Listen. If in Tremain you play the Song of Time you can go back in time three days, right? Well if that's so, wouldn't also affect Hyrule, giving an actual possibility of living with out that dark spirit?" Link replied, more asking back.
"Perhaps," Zelda's ghost muttered, wiping her tears on her sleeve, "But then Ganon would be alive again and we'd have to go through the same thing over again. It's the prospect of time travel. You can't actually change something in the past, it has to have already been written into the past. The thing in Clock Town was whack because of the moon." Link sighed. "Well... It was an idea though..."
"And I'm sorry I had to squash it," Zelda said guiltily. "I hate getting your hopes up and then having them all crash down. So I suppose I might just have to leave." She handed Link the necklace holding his and Danal's memories. "Take this, and put it around you and Danal's necks. It'll give you back the memories my spirit stole from you."
"Its all right... You really should come back with me." Link replied, taking the necklace and getting up with Zelda's body. "Come on... Let's head home."
"No, Link," Zelda whispered. "I'm a ghost now. I'm not allowed to communicate with you anymore. I'm running out of time to be here. I'll have to go to the spirit world. Bury my body in Kakariko Graveyard. If you ever want to speak to me, go to the graveyard and leave a message on my grave. I'll come visit you then."
Link sighed sadly. "All right... I love you and will miss you. Farewell..."
Zelda's ghost faded away. But it remained invisible in the clouds, looking down on Link. "Bury me inside the Royal Family tomb," she messaged him. "That's where my whole family is, and where I must reside."
Link nodded. "I know... I know you would want it that way." He whispered and started back to Hyrule.
Danal was lying in his bed, when he noticed all the fire had gone down. He'd been mortified at the flames inside the room. He'd passed out, and was now back awake.
Link whistled for NightWind, but the stallion was off some where Din knows where. He sighed and continued, nearing Tremain.
Danal hopped out of the bed and looked around. He walked to a wall and leaned against it. A stone pushed in and revealed a secret passage. "Cool," he muttered.
Link shifted Zelda's body over his shoulder, then played the Shadow temple warp song. He held her and jump over the fence and landing in the Family Tomb.
Danal entered the passage and the wall shut behind him.
Link rose from Zelda's final resting spot, playing the Royal Family song on the Ocarina as he walked out. He continued it though the Village. People heard the sad note in it and came to find out what it was; they gather around Link and asked a ton of questions. He was jarred back to then, and quickly played the Temple of Time warp song.
Zelda watched her body be buried. She began to cry, knowing how much she'll miss things and people she loves.

chapter twenty-one--inside the secret chest
Danal walked up some stairs. The corridor was dark, and it was hard to see.
Link walked out of the temple, then stopped and looked shocked. "Oh Din..." He whispered, recalling both of Zelda's parents and her where now gone. 'If their gone... Then...Then I have to take over! Oh Din!' He shook his head and hurried to the Castle.
Danal climbed the stairs and found a door. He opened it and entered a room. It was old and dusty, filled with so much dusty junk. He had no idea what all the stuff was.
Link hurried up the stairs to the castle hospital to find Danal.
Danal looked around the room at the junk. He tripped over something large and heavy. "Ahh!" he screamed. He stood up and saw he'd fallen over a large trunk with a lock. He kneeled down and blew the dust off of the lock, then rubbed the rest of the dirt off with his thumb.
Link noticed the secret passage had been moved as there were hand prints on the dusty wall. His eyes widened and he opened it, then ran up the corridor.
The lock was a faded gold color with the Triforce engraved in the middle. In the center of the lock was a keyhole. The keyhole was in the shape of a mini Triforce. "A Triforce inside a Triforce?" Danal muttered.
He gasped when he saw what was inside the pieces of the bigger Triforce. In the top triangle was a picture of Ganon, in the bottom-right was a picture of his father, and in the bottom-left was a picture of Zelda.
Link opened the door to the room Danal was in. He was about to leave when he saw Danal. "Danal! How in Hyrule did you get in here? And what are you doing in here?" He exclaimed shocked.
Danal's head jerked up. "Dad!" he cried. "How...how did you find me here?" Link stood against the door way with his arms crossed. "I was trying to find you," He replied, "Now, how did you get in here and why are you in here?"
Danal shrugged. "I was bored and found a secret switch. Why, am I not allowed up here or something?"
Link move towards Danal, watching him coldly. "What is up here is none of your business," He replied coldly, "Get out."
"Why, Dad? What's so important up here? And...why isn't Mom with you?"
"Don't worry about what's up here." Link replied, then looking down and away. "Your...your mother is... she's at peace." He said quietly, turning to leave.
"Did she...die?" Danal whispered.
Link gripped the necklace tighter in his hand. "Come." He whispered, starting to walk out of the room.
Danal hesitated, then quickly followed. "What did you see in there?" Link asked Danal, turning to him in the hallway.
"Nothing," Danal lied.
"You saw something." Link replied, "What did you see!"
"Nothing!" Danal lied again. He suddenly burst out quickly, "Nothing but an old black mirror."
Link turned and started to walk down the hall again. "That better be it. I never want to find you in there again."
"Yes, Dad." Danal's curiosity got to the best of him despite what he'd promised his father. He needed to open that trunk. Link stopped again, remembering the gem. "Come here." Danal obeyed. Link showed him the necklace before putting over both their necks. "This will answer some questions.”
"Um, okay..."
The necklace then shocked their stolen memories back into their heads. The black gem emptied back to a calm white.
Link removed it when it turned white and put a hand to his head. "No questions," he said, and started to leave again.
Danal looked back at the secret door, wondering if he should sneak back in today. "You better not go in there again." Link warned before going into his chambers.
"Yes, Dad." Danal looked back at it again. He wanted to see what was inside that trunk so badly.
Link jotted a quick note for Zelda, asking for her to try to keep watch on Danal for him, and that Danal had found the room with the chest that had that strange lock. He then warped to the Shadow Temple and left note in the family tomb.
Danal noticed Link had vanished, so he hurried back to the room. He examined the lock again, and noticed that on the side of it was a small opening. He put in his finger and pulled out a key in the shape of the keyhole on the lock. He put it in and opened the chest.
Inside was nothing. It was dark to see, so Danal leaned forward to check if there was something hiding in a shadow. He fell in and the chest locked itself back up. Danal heard a cruel laugh as he fell into a dark abyss.
"I can't stay, but leave a note and I'll respond as soon as I can..." Link muttered, recalling what Zelda had said before she left. "Then hurry to this one." He slightly sighed and once more started back to the Castle, but stopped back at the Shadow Temple boss chambers, hoping to get some help from Impa.
Danal hit solid ground. He stood up and looked up. He must've fallen about 30 ft. He looked around. It was all dark. "Hello?" he called.
Link found himself in the Sacred Realm in front of Impa. "You come alone and in sadness. What is it Link?" she asked him, noticing his expression.
"She... she's gone... Now, Danal and I are alone... Twice in one day..." Link replied quiet and sadly.
Impa nodded. "And now your faced with the challenge of raising Danal while ruling alone at the same time. I see, but there's more, isn't there?"
"Sadly.." Link sighed, "She died by my hand because I was controlled both times."
Danal walked forward and a light went on. He looked around and found himself standing in the courtyard. Rows and rows of chairs were lined up, with seemingly everyone in Hyrule sitting in them. A few Gerudos were flinging arrows at each other and the farm girl Malon had her arms in a large brown owl's talons and flying around. He saw an aisle, and looked down it to the end of the courtyard. He saw his dad and some other guy.
Then he turned around and saw his mother and grandpa walking down the aisle. He saw Zelda and Link together. "Mom and Dad's wedding?" he muttered. No one seemed to hear or see him.
"Knowing her... Sh... Link!" Impa looked at Link, and tried to get to him but was blocked.
Link had fallen to his knees with his head in his hands and his eyes closed. For some reason he was suddenly recalling their wedding.
"Link?! What is it?!?" Impa said, trying to get through to Link, but was failing.
The wedding faded when Zelda slit the preacher's throat. "That works, too," Link said.
Danal then found himself inside the abyss where he saw himself cower behind Zelda as she took the blows for him. He saw Link's evil look and then the scene faded into Link holding Zelda in his arms, a fairy flying around. Zelda told him it was too late and kissed Danal then Link. Both Danals watched Zelda close her eyes in death.
But the unseen Danal inside the chest saw inside of Link. He saw a bleeding heart, and it was the heart's way of crying. The scene faded.
Link some how saw everything Danal had seen. Though confused by the last thing, the seeing of the first time Zelda had died only made him feel even more guilty about it. He remained still and stuck in the images.
"Link! Come on, snap out of it!" Impa tried again, still getting nothing.
The scene reopened into the hospital, outside Danal's room, where Link and Zelda were talking about her being half dead, then into the room where they hugged Danal into remembering them. He felt a pain in his heart, knowing that he'd never get another bear hug from Zelda again. Link's was okay, but no hug was like his mother's.
Then he saw her talking to Nabooru, having the necklace shock him and Link, Zelda in the field, the fires, Link and Zelda's battle, then Zelda's second death. He saw the whole day flash before his eyes up to him examining the trunk and then Link telling him to get out.
Every scene made Link feel even worst about Zelda's final death. More now than ever, he strongly blamed himself and was more than ever going to miss her. He would strongly miss everything about her and being with her. Though slightly angered when he saw Danal had lied, his expression and position never moved.
"Darn it Link! Get a grip!" Impa continued to shout pointlessly at Link.
Danal saw a face emerge. It was Zelda's. She said to him, "Danal, you disobeyed your father. This is not a good thing. Get out."
"How?"
"Get out NOW!" Zelda's eyes turned flaming red and a firey ring surrounded Danal. He screamed and then a flaming tentacle grabbed him. He opened his eyes and found himself out of the chest.
Link's eyes shot up as his head jerked up. "Danal!" he shouted, annoyed. "She forgave me, but I can never forgive myself." He quickly told Impa.
"Alright then. Best of luck to you. Farewell." Impa replied, then warped Link back to the Graveyard and disappeared.
Link arrived in the Graveyard, then hurried to the Castle.
Danal could feel that Link was coming. He turned and ran away from the stairs to the room he found the door in. He looked in front of him and his eyes widened; he was going to hit the wall! He tried to slow down but tripped over a desk, and was thrown toward the wall. He screamed and closed his eyes, but no searing pain came from hitting stone wall. He hit floor and stood up. He'd gone through the wall and entered a hallway. He shrugged, ran down it and entered another room.

chapter twenty-two--real or fake?
Link ran into the Castle and hurried up to the room where Danal had been. "Danal! Get here now!" He shouted, trying to stop but slide pass the door way. He grabbed the door way and almost hit the wall. Quickly looking over the room, he became even more angered by Danal as he turned and ran about the Castle trying to find him.
Danal kept running through rooms until he found himself at a dead end with a painting of the first Queen Zelda. He pushed it aside and found a hole which he crawled into.
Link came up to the moved painting a few moments later, and stuck his head in it. "Danal! Get out here!" he shouted in it, slightly shaking his head at the echo.
Danal pushed back farther in the hole, going faster from hearing his father. He knew Link would be too big to crawl through. Link pulled his head out of the cavern. "Dang it!" He muttered, running to where the other end of the of it should be.
Danal came to a fork in the tunnel. "Left or right?" he wondered. Link hit his fist against the wall. "Curse it!" He muttered, recalling something about a fork in that cavern. He turned and hurried to the library to find a map of the Castle.
Danal took the left tunnel and kept crawling. Link stormed out of the library, surprisingly having not found a map. He sat on the steps, waiting a bit before going after Danal again.
Danal found a ladder and climbed up it, reaching another tunnel.
Link sighed, putting his head in his hands. 'Great... Killing Zelda twice. Almost killing Danal once. Being lied to by my own son. Having to rule alone... All in a day..'
"You seem to be having a wonderful day, King Link..." said a silky voice from behind him.
Danal climbed and ran down a tunnel. "I had no idea the castle was this much like a labyrinth..." he said to himself. "There must be lots of treasures around here!"
Link groaned. "Don't remind me... How do you know this though?" He asked, not bothering to see who it was.
The voice laughed. It sounded like the laugh of a goddess, as smooth as milk. "I have my resources," it said. Link shrugged. "All right then... If that is so, where is Danal?" He asked, looking up and slightly over his shoulder at the person.
The person was a woman who looked just like Zelda. "He'll come out soon..." Link jumped up and back, surprised at who was behind him. "Zelda!" He asked, purely confused.
The woman laughed again. "I suppose you could call me that. Oh, and don't worry about Prince Danal. He'll come out of his hiding place soon enough..." She smiled.
Link expression remained confused. "I know, you said that. But how...? I though you said you couldn't interact with us?"
'Zelda' laughed. "Maybe. I could be real. But I could also be a figment of your imagination." She leaned down and kissed Link on the lips. "But I'll let you decide." She stood. "As for Prince Danal...well, let's just say he'll be a while."
Link looked up at her longingly. "You have no idea how much I miss that." He whispered, reaching up to her.
'Zelda' ignored his hands and turned away. "Get over it," she said. "I'm obviously here now. No more need to worry or mourn. Right?"
Link turned from her himself, drawing his hand back."I was forced into killing you. Twice! Now, you are here, but don't even notice that I still care for you," Link replied. "That I still love you." He turned and began to walk away.
"Are you sure you want to leave my view?" she asked. "Bad things could happen to the Prince..." "Why would I want you to leave?" Link asked, "I still love you."
"But if you love Danal, you will come with me." She turned and walked down the hallway. Link turned and followed her. "Are you saying that I don't?"
"Perhaps," she said. "Or maybe I think you love me more."
"Is it hard to see that I love both of you? Equally?" Link replied. "I was glad to have you back... But now... I don't know."
"What if I'm not back, really?" she asked, looking away from Link. "What if I'm really just a figment of your imagination, leading you somewhere bad?" He didn't see her eyes glow red for a brief moment. "Something is wrong with you. I'll find Danal, feel free to leave. Your not the Zelda I knew and loved." Link replied, turning and walking away from her.
"Remember what I said..." she hissed, her back still to his. "Bad things may happen to the prince if you leave me here..." Link stopped, his fist clenched. "I have little reason to trust you. You are not Zelda, but I'll risk my life for his." He growled.
"Oh, I'm Zelda all right. But not as you know me." She turned, her eyes glowing red. "I guess you care about neither of us. Oh well. You can rule without a wife or son. That seems to be what you want."
Link shook his head. "You might be Zelda, but your not the one that I fell in love with. I should have guessed you come back to get me for not bending to your will the way you wanted. Leave Danal be."
"What is love when you can have power?" she spat. "If I were you, I'd marry the princess then kill her off without being under control just to get the seat of power all to myself. And why should I listen to you, anyway? You're pathetic! Mourning over silly deaths? Ha! Everyone dies, Link. So suck it up and be a real man."
"Why would I want power when I can't have the ones I love? I never wanted power! The only thing I ever wanted, I got it, yes, but then I lost it! You tell me to suck it up, but you don't see how many will be mourning Zelda or Danal's deaths! Power corrupts your mind! Having some there with you that purely loves you, there lies your true strength, not power!" Link retorted.
"Lies, you fool! Queen Zelda has manipulated your mind! Love is all a joke! Power...power gets you what you want. Power is so much better than love. Why can't you, of all people, realize this?"
"No! You are the fool! Power is pointless without love! Ganon has corrupted your mind so that your blind to the truth! Love is a much stronger power than your weak power!"
"What is it with your obsession with Ganon?” she spat. “Everything bad that happens, you blame him! Try someone else for a change!” She paused, and smirked.“You know... I could just as easily revive Ganon or Zelda as I could kill you or Danal... that's how much power I have. Ganon spoke to me in the spirit world... and his new plan is marvelous. So you have a choice. Want me to kill Danal, bring back Zelda, or kill you?"
Link said nothing, running the possibilities though his head. 'Danal can't rule, he's too young... I'd die myself if Danal died... And Zelda would be facing death again... There's no way I could live with any of these...' "None of them..." he finally said.

chapter twenty-three--zaela
"Thank you. Now I can revive the great Ganon."
"NO! If any one is to be revived it should be Zelda!”
"Yes. But you said you didn't want your beloved Zelda revived. Nor did you want Danal or you to befall death. So the only option left is reviving Ganon."
"Is one not allowed to think to oneself! For Danal is too young to rule, and if he were to be killed Hyrule would be left with out a ruler!"
"No it wouldn’t. Hyrule would have me as a ruler. Anyway, it's too late for all this useless chatter, Link! My decision is made. I will revive Ganon. And you know, Ganon's brilliant plan requires Zelda to be alive, so...I think I shall revive her again as well. I'll give her a special gift so your mourning over her can end. It may put her in grave pain, but she's been killed twice already. What could hurt worse, anyway?"
"Death a third time you blind fool! Death again, trying to save some one she loves! You know Ganon's dim-witted plan will never work! They never have nor will!"
"Ah, but this plan shall have an interesting twist, one that I'm sure will not only break your heart again but...kind of gross you out, as well. It definitely will to Danal, anyway. And she's not going to die, Link. I'll make sure of that. Meet me at midnight with Danal in the center of the field we battled in earlier when I possessed Zelda's body. If you and Danal are not here by then, I will kill Prince Danal. Goodbye, Link..." She vanished. Link struck out at the wall with his still clenched fist. His head jerked up and he looked cold and sharply at the guard that was approaching him.
"Sire, please. You can't have you foolishly hurting yourself now." The guard told him.
"Leon! Shut!" Link replied sharply, then took off after Danal again.
"Sire! Wait, sire!" Leon shouted after Link.
Danal kept crawling but fell into a hole. He landed right in front of Link.
Link grabbed Danal by the back of his shirt as he ran by, quickly swinging the boy over his shoulder and running outside the Castle. He whistled for NightWind who finally responded to the call. "Keep quiet!" Link told Danal, slightly sharper than he meant to as he put the boy on the stallion and jumping on himself. Link clucked to the stallion who took off fairly quick.
Danal obeyed Link, but in fear. He didn't like any of this, and he was so confused.
Link said nothing to Danal, and glad that his son wasn't asking a million questions he wouldn't be able to answer. NightWind grew more and more hesitant as they neared the area that the flames had been.
Danal squinted. "Dad, I see someone." He was right. The woman who looked like Zelda was standing far out in the field, only normal eyes couldn't see her from that distance. "It looks like mom!"
"She's not, but is." Link muttered, having seen her to. NightWind whinnied, tossing his head. Link groaned. The stallion was still spooked by this area. "I hope you can run." Link muttered, jumping off the scared stallion.
Danal didn't run. He grabbed his dad's hand to help run faster but instead they found themselves immediately by the woman. "Dad, I think I just teleported us!" he whispered, thrilled at his new ability.
Link glanced down at Danal but said nothing to him. "We're here. Now, leave Danal out of this." he said towards 'Zelda'.
"Very good, Link, I did not think you would show up...Now, first of all, let me show you who I really am." A ball of light surrounded her and then died. Instead of 'Zelda', there stood a woman with black hair and red tips, fiery eyes, red lips, long red nails with fire painted on them, pointy ears and earrings resembling fire. She was wearing a black dress that covered her feet, with sewn flames and a cut-off sleeve, with fire-red gloves to her elbows.
"I am Zaela," she said. "Queen of Evil and Zelda's dark side. I am the only one in this universe more powerful than the great Ganondorf."

chapter twenty-four--crushes
Link pushed Danal behind him. "I should have known you'd be back. Now, what is it that you want?" He asked, ready to protect Danal.
"What I want is none of your business. It's all part of my plan."
"It is if it deals with Zelda, Ganon and Danal."
"Hm." Zaela grinned evilly. She closed her eyes. "Through life and spirit, rise and fall, revive the darkest man of all!" she said. Black light surrounded her and then a dark figure appeared.
"Great..." Link muttered sarcastically, watching the new figure, "Ganon..."
"From the depths of the earth to the heavenly skies, the newest holder shall again rise!"
Link watched in angered silence. Mad at himself for letting this happen.
Zaela was in the middle. Ganon stood on her left, looking stronger and more powerful than ever, while Zelda stood on her right, confused and scared. She said to Zaela, "Quit bringing me back to life, Zaela! It's not funny! It hurts!" She noticed Link and Danal. "Oh, hi guys!" Link held Danal by the shoulder to be sure he wouldn't run off. "Um... Hi?" he replied, looking over to her.
Danal shrugged Link's hand off and walked forward. "Mom? What's going on?"
"It's nothing, Danal," Zelda said.
"Oh, yes. Nothing, Prince Danal," Zaela spat. "Nothing at all. That's what it looks like, doesn't it?"
"So, can we get on with the plan?" Ganon asked.
Link grabbed Danal and pushed him behind himself. "Get out of here. Take NightWind with you." Link muttered to him, drawing his blade and walking forward.
"No, Prince Danal, you are in this as much as all of us," Zaela said. "Leave him be, Zaela. He was dragged into this against his will." Link stated, nearing the trio.
"Let me think about this request..." Zaela tapped her chin in thought, then said, "No." She grabbed Danal with a firey tentacle and yanked him to her. She pushed Zelda away and said to Ganon, "I'll work on her, you can trap him and then do your stuff."
"Gladly," Ganon said, smirking. He grabbed Danal and Zaela looked at Zelda.
"Immortus tempus!" she said, and a fiery ball surrounded Zelda. She screamed in pain. "Don't worry, my twin! This will be the last pain you ever feel! It will be over before you know it!" Zelda was burned to ashes, then reappeared, looking revived as ever.
Ganon froze Danal in another crystal and grinned wickedly at Link.
Link looked over at Zelda apologetically, then turned and sent several Light Arrow each at Zaela and Ganon. "Twice with in a day..." he muttered.
Zaela blocked the arrows with a fire shield, and then said, "Your Zelda is powerful, King Link, she cannot feel pain." She set Zelda on fire, but Zelda didn't feel the burn. Link shook his head. "You really don't know Zelda do you Zaela." He sighed.
"It's okay, Link," Zelda insisted. "I can't feel this." Link looked over at Zelda confused, not getting how the flames weren’t hurting her.
"Ganon, continue while I take care of the King." She began walking toward Link.
"With pleasure," Ganon said, walking toward Zelda, who was looking a bit scared.
Link drew his sword and held it defensively in front of himself. He slowly took a step back.
Zaela twisted a strand of her black red-tipped hair around her finger and smiled at Link an outrageously flirtatious smile. "Ganon's been a little...shall we say, whacked out," she whispered in his ear. "We've both gotten little crushes."
"Like I care..." Link muttered, sticking out at Zaela with his sword hilt.
Zaela grabbed the sword and tossed it aside. She put her arms around Link's neck, her eyes innocent and hypnotic. "Come on, Linky...You know you want me more than my goody-goody twin...besides, she's taken."
Link pushed Zaela, trying to get her off him and turning his head away from her. "Get away from me! Oh Din, go for Ganon!" he said.
Zaela grabbed Link again and pulled him into a passionate kiss.
Ganon was walking toward Zelda while she was backing away. "Zaela's right, Zelda...you are taken. Like she said, we both have had little crushes bloom inside." Zelda screamed when he lunged for her. "Playing hard to get, huh?" he asked, smiling. "I like that."
Link pushed against Zaela, purely annoyed and angered by her foolishness.
Zaela frowned and put her hand on Link's cheek. A flame burst around it. She put her other hand on Link's other cheek to keep him from moving away. "Let's see if you like rough love," she said, pressing her burning hand into his peeling cheek. "I can scald your cheek past the bone if I wanted to."
Ganon grabbed Zelda and she kicked him. He grabbed her leg and flipped her upside down.
Link attempted to trip Zaela. Quickly, he put leg behind her's and pulled forward hard.
Zaela fell forward and rolled back up. She turned to Link, eyes and hands flaming. She threw a fireball at him.
Ganon pulled Zelda to him and she could smell his rancid breath. She wanted to throw up, until he kissed her.

chapter twenty-five--plans over plans
Link dropped down to avoid the fireball. "What the hell?" he shouted at Zaela.
"Told ya we were both crushing," Zaela said, pointing to Ganon and Zelda.
Link glanced over at Zelda. He shook his head, disgusted with Ganon.
Zaela looked over at Ganon and Zelda. She looked at Link and smiled. "I'm thinking I might use some of my Lovestick," she said, winking. "Ganon was just a test subject and it worked so now..." "Zelda!" Link shouted, trying to get her to realize what she was doing. He stepped back from Zaela, trying to put some distance between them.
Ganon and Zelda still hadn't stopped kissing.
Danal, up in his crystal, looked away in disgust, thinking, Gross! Mom's actually cheating on Dad in his sight?
Zaela touched her lips and sparks flew out. "Now, just one more kissy, Linky... and you're mine..."
Link quickly threw a dagger at Ganon. "Leave her!" He shouted at him, enraged. He reached down and grabbed his blade. "Stay back!"
Ganon let go of Zelda to defend himself, but Zelda got there first. Her hand flung out and the dagger went through her hand. She pulled it out and no blood or wound was to be found. She threw it at Link.
Link stepped mostly out of the dagger's way, but got slightly hit on the arm. "Zelda! What is—what the—!” he shouted at her.
"Do not touch him," she said. Danal couldn't believe her words.
Link looked at her shocked. "Zelda..." He sad quietly, grabbing the dagger. He took quick aim at her and throwing it. "Sorry..."
The dagger went through her with no harm done. "Don't make me hurt you," she threatened Link.
"Mom!" Danal said, astonished.
"Oh, looooook, Linky, Zelda's in looooove," Zaela teased. "But not with yooooou, Linky. I'm in love with yooou..."
"Shut up!" Danal said. Ganon snapped his fingers and the crystal became mute.
"Zelda can't be hurt," he said. "Did you not hear Zaela before?"
Link looked at Zelda sad and hurt. "You can't hurt me more than you already have." He said quietly. He gripped the sword hilt tight, barley having it in his hand any ways.
"It's not a big deal," Zaela said. "First of all, you have me, and secondly, the spell will wear off in a few minutes."
"You have the dagger, use it Zelda." Link muttered, dropping the sword and waited for her. "I could never go around Zelda's back... Even if she is died and stabbed me in the backand gone with Ganon. I could never go with you Zaela."
"Did you not hear me, Linky? The spell will wear off. And not too soon." She flashed red eyes at Ganon. "Then she has a little time to return what I did to her when I was controlled." Link said, "Throw the dagger. Then you only have once more to fully get me back Zelda. Do it!"
"But there's a catch," Zaela continued. "If she and Ganon lock lips again, the spell will restart itself. If, however, the spell isn't worn off by dawn, which is in about three hours, it will become permanent. So let's get busy ourselves, eh, Linky?" She tapped her lips to reapply the magic and kissed Link full on the mouth.
Danal had fainted. His parents were breaking up, he knew it.
Zelda looked up at Ganon and kissed him willingly herself. He smiled wickedly at Link, then sweetly at Zelda. The plan's going perfectly, Zaela, he said to Zaela in telepathy.
Excellent...Zaela replied.
Link fought against Zaela. He felt like dying right then. Betrayed by Zelda, forced around by this Zaela, and overall Zelda with Ganon. 'I'm sorry Danal.' He tried messaging Danal.
Zelda's time restarted again. Zaela pressed harder on Link, determined to make the spell work.
Link continued to fight as much as he could.
Zaela frowned and broke away, reapplied the magic even more heavily, then set her fingers to burn. She burned Link to keep him distracted while she magically made him fall in love.
Though getting burned, Link still fought Zaela as much as he could.
Ganon and Zelda were walking and talking about things while Ganon kept checking back with Zaela telepathically, a power he'd never before had...hm. Danal was still fainted, and Zaela was getting irritated with Link.
Link noticed Zelda and Ganon, but continued fighting with Zaela. He was also growing overly annoyed and angered with her.
Finally Zaela broke away, infuriated that Link had defeated her magic. "You will pay for that!" she cried, blasting him with fire. "I forgot to mention," she said, blowing the remaining smoke off her finger, "I'm not only the Queen of Evil, and I have super powerful fire powers, but I also have other powers as well. I'm the Queen of Evil Magic." She lifted Link in the air and thrust him to the ground with her fiery red eyes, then repeated this over and over.
Link felt every blow, knowing he was just barely hanging on.
Zaela kept flinging him up and down. She held him in midair, walked over and asked sweetly, "You have one more chance. Don't fight me." She applied the magic to her lips and kissed him again.
Though weak from the beatings, Link still fought Zaela's will as much as he could.
Zaela broke off and whacked at him more. "You're stronger than I thought," she mused. "But not as strong as Ganon or I. Though my twin Zelda was more prone to the spell than you, it was because of surprise, she is almost as strong as I am. But that's because I am her. She is me. We are one. Now don't fight me or I'll be forced to kill Danal!" "What where you expecting?" Link asked warily. "Leave Danal alone," he then added.
Zaela slapped Link across the face and kept throwing him up and down.
Zelda and Ganon watched Link get beaten. A little voice inside Zelda's head told her to stop Zaela, but, sadly, she couldn't hear it.
Zaela's failing attempts to make Link fall in love with her made Ganon and her smile inside their heads, while their expressions remained the same: Zaela's irritated, Ganon's pleasurable.
"Zelda?" Ganon asked her.
"Yes, Ganon?" she replied.
"Why do you call me Ganon instead of Ganondorf?"
"Because Link and I used to brutally hate you and you sounded more like an evil villian with the last four letters cut off. I'm sorry for that now, love, I didn't know you could be so romantic and dreamy...What would you like me to call you, then?"
"Ganondorf, I suppose. Or..." he smirked. "Honey or Love works too."
"All right, Love," Zelda said. "You can call me whatever you want. Link just called me Zelda and it got annoying. Though I never told him."
"I like Sweets." Zelda nodded, and Ganondorf leaned over and passionately kissed her on the lips. She kissed him back. "You kiss well, Sweets," he said.
"I've had practice. You're not so bad yourself, Love." They kissed again and didn't seem to stop for the next hour while Zaela kept hurting Link.
Link weakly and barely hung in there for the next hour or so. He couldn't let what had happen to Zelda happen to himself, and was painfully paying for it.
Finally, at around two thirty in the morning, Zaela tossed Link aside and signaled to Ganon inside her head, "It's time." He smirked and walked toward her.
"Where are you going, Love?" Zelda asked in a dreamy voice.
"Just to talk to Zaela, Sweets," Ganondorf assured her.
"Oh, okay."
Ganon walked over to Zaela and whispered, "You know, I actually might keep her instead. She's a pretty good kisser."
"She's our enemy, Ganon!" Zaela whispered back sharply. "You should know that! Real love wasn't part of the plan."
"Since when are you my boss?"
"Who has more power? Who revived you? Who could put you back in the spirit world just as easily as taking you out?"
"Fine," he grumbled. "Just kill them and get it over with."
"Oh, I'll be doing plenty of killing tonight, Ganon... and you're going to help me..."

chapter twenty-six--immortality
Link struggled into a crouched position unsteadily. He glared coldly over at Zelda. 'The one I love doesn't even care any more... These two days have been going just great...'
Zaela returned to where Link was and Ganon to Zelda. She said to him, "Why do you care if she doesn't love you?"
"What is it to you?" Link weakly asked, glaring up at her coldly.
She scoffed. "You're acting so childish. How pathetic can you get? Honestly?"
"I'm not being childish. Just overly hurt." Link muttered, staggering to his feet unsteadily.
"It's the same thing," she said. "You're weak, Link. You're not like I remember. You were a tough guy, a hot shot, and nothing was gonna stand in your way without befalling it's death. But why did you push all that away just for love? I have three words to say: Love is fake. And you know why? Because you get all worked up over one person who you think you're in love with, but always end up heartbroken eventually, whether you find out the other hates you and doesn't love you like you her, or she falls out of love with you, or she dies. You took the risk of putting your heart in Zelda's hands and she chewed it up and spat it out so many times. And yet you still forgive her."
"I forgive her, for the times she has done it for me. You can't truly say that love is fake. She gave me her love... Till now... Why don't you just get rid of me then? I would take it willingly." He said.
"Because," Zaela said, a wicked grin spreading across her face, "I like to see you in torture and pain." She snapped her fingers and Link caught fire.
"You are just pushing me closer and closer to going over the edge." Link said, ignoring the flames, "Your torture is just going to led to your getting rid of me."
Zaela laughed evilly. It echoed throughout the field. Zelda heard the laugh and her enlarged pupils shrank in realization and remembrance. She tried to stand but Ganon's hand was firm on her shoulder. He pulled her into a kiss and her pupils grew again in the trance.
"Ha! Fool! You have absolutely no idea what my plan is, do you? All I've got to do is torture you until I think you're well-beaten. Then I'll let the kisser over there do the rest."
Link shook his head and sighed. "Your beatings are weak compared to the one Zelda gave." He stated.
Zaela's eyes burned wildly in fury at Link's remark. "I'll show you weak!" She flew up into the air and blasted at him with fire, lightning, rocks, and a tornado.
When the tornado let up, Link as laying face down and almost died. Hewas burned badly and his wounds badly bleeding. "Yo..you are...st..still weak..." He stammered quiet and weakly.
"Hmph." Zaela was tempted to kill him off, but decided to just go on with her plan. "Ganon!" she called. "Now."
"Of course." He smirked and whispered something to Zelda. She nodded and stood, then walked over to Zaela.
Link looked over at Zelda. He sighed, wondering how much long he could hold on to conscienceness let alone life.
Zelda knew immediately what was going on when Zaela turned into a black mist and sucked herself into Zelda's body. Her pupils shrank and Zaela forced her hand up. "Link...!" she said, as the hand formed a black ball and surged it at him. She gasped, but Zaela took steps forward for her, no matter how much she resisted.
"Stop struggling, Zelda, and let me do my work. Unless you want to kill him yourself..."
"NO! Never!" Tears were rushing down her cheek as her arm raised again.
"Too late!" Zaela formed a large dark energy ball in Zelda's raised hand.
"Link, run!" she cried as the dark ball was released.
Link cased a weak Nayru's Love. He looked up at Zelda. "I forgive you... And still... love you.. Zelda.." He whispered.
The ball ate through the force field and then devoured Link in darkness.
"Link, no!" Zelda cried. Zaela stepped out of Zelda and laughed again.
"You, me, you are me, and yet you are so weak! Just like Link." She looked over at the space where Link once stood, where he now lay motionless. "But don't worry, he's not dead yet. It'll take a minute or so."
"Link!" she said, pushing Zaela aside and running to him. She kneeled down. "Link...no..."
"Z..Zelda...Take...take good... good care...of Dan..Danal... I...I forgive you..." Link stuttered, struggling just to look up at her,"Fa..Farewell my love..."
"No, no, Link don't do this!" She began to sob. Her tears weren't normal. They seemed to be pure, full of a strange nothing that seemed to be able heal the soul. A tear rolled off her cheek and onto Link's face.
Suddenly a cut on Link's face healed instantly when the tear touched it. "Hmm?" Zelda muttered. She looked over her shoulder at Zaela, who was smirking. "What is this all about?"
"Have you not figured out my plan, Zelda? I meant for you to kill Link and live the rest of your life in misery and grief."
"I'd die eventually and meet up with him again."
Zaela laughed. "That's where you're wrong, Zelda. So, so wrong.”
Link remained still, letting the wounds heal and Zaela think he was about to die. 'The longer she's held off, the better.' He tried to message Zelda.
Zelda got the message but didn't reply. "What are you talking about?" she asked Zaela. "I'm able to die!"
"No, you're not. When I gave you the last pain you'd ever feel, I made you special. More special than you could dream. No, Zelda. You're not a mortal anymore."
"You made me...immortal!"
Link followed everything, surprised himself, but said nothing nor moved. 'Thanks.. Keep it up.' He messaged her again.
"Yes!" Zaela spat. "You were supposed to kill Link and then Danal and then live the rest of your eternal life in misery! It would be like a fantastic movie that would never end for me!" Link slowly moved his hand towards his sword hilt, watching to be sure Zaela didn't noticed she hadn't killed him.
I'll keep her distracted, Zelda messaged Link. Then we can attack.
She had forgotten about Ganon, who was slowly walking back toward them.
Danal was still up in the crystal, but he was trying to melt the crystal with his mind, putting his effort into taking in some of the energy from his mother's dark side. Though it was against his policy, this was an emergency.
'I was planning on getting her as soon as I get my sword back...' Link messaged back, gabbing his sword, 'Ready when you are.'
"You two are both weaklings," Zaela said. "Honestly, I don't know how you two made it this far in life."
Okay...NOW! Zelda messaged. She formed a light ball in her hand and blasted it at Zaela, who got hit.
Link jumped up and ran at Zaela, swinging his sword at her.
Zaela looked back at Ganon and winked, signaling that the plan was going well while still taking blows. Link stepped back by Zelda. 'I don't think this is going to well...' He messaged.
I don't either, Zelda sent back. You think we should keep fighting or save our energy?
Danal was successful in melting his crystal, but sadly only a tiny bit of it.[/i]
'Save it... This isn't going well...' Link messaged back, 'Is Danal still in the crystal?'
Zelda looked up. "I think he's trying to...melt it?"
Zaela spoke quickly to Ganon, "The plan's going perfectly. Do you have the jewel?"
"Right here." He pulled out a black gem from his pocket. Zaela ripped it out of his hands and tied it around her neck.
Link looked up too. “Is it working?”
"I'm not so sure..."
Zaela wrapped the gem around her neck and felt the power. She turned to Ganon and smirked. "This is where we say our goodbyes."
"What? But that wasn't part of the deal!"
"You really think that I, the only one on this planet that is more powerful than you, would agree to a deal with you?" she asked, raising her hand. "Get real. Nighty-night, Ganon!" She blasted him and he vanished.
“Strange idea, though...” Link mused.
Zelda gasped. "Do you think he's using Zaela's dark fire magic? After all, she is part of me, and that could've passed on to him..."
"I don't know... Can he draw power from others?" Link asked, looking over at Zelda, "If he can, maybe he's drawing power from her."
"No, Zaela's power is my power. My dark power, the power I never used and never will. He's my offspring, and it's possible he just might have inherited it. And that worries me."
"Oh... I see what you mean... If he did it would be as if Zaela and that Shadow thing met... That wouldn't be very good.."
"Not exactly, it'd be as if Danal was using dark magic and became evil." She turned to Link. "I'm from a long line of magic. My 4x great grandmother was a full blooded witch. My family passed on to me the knowledge that using dark magic can turn you evil."
"Alright then... We don't need three on two... Especially one of them being our son..." Link muttered with a sigh.

chapter twenty-seven--touch of dark magic (okay I lost this bit of the rp... but I think Link's trapped in an ice cube or something. ) Zelda looked over at Link in fear. She then realized how Link must've felt all the times he'd lost her. "Neither," she said. "Let him go. Now."
"I'm afraid I can't do that now, Zelda. It's too late."'I'm still here Zelda... Some how...' Link messaged, weaker than before, 'I don't want to lose you again...' You won't lose me, Zelda replied. I'll lose you. And I won't be able to die again to meet up with you, and it takes dark magic to revive one from the dead. I...can't do anything. Zaela...has...won. She hung her head.
"What's the matter, Zelda? Scared you'll lose your Linky?" She grabbed the sword hilt by Danal and pulled it out of the ground. Danal's eyes were now halfway open but his vision was blurry. "Why don't you forget about him right now and worry about your little boy?" Danal rolled away just as she stabbed the sword where his chest once was.
Zelda was panicking so much she almost felt feverish. Link was going to freeze to death but Zaela was going to stab Danal to his if she turns her back. She didn't know what to do. An idea crossed her mind, but she pushed it away. "I can't risk it," she said.
Finally she decided Link was a lot stronger than Danal so she grabbed him and put him inside a protective white bubble. Zaela, meanwhile, was melting the ice block Link was in. "NO!" Zelda cried, but it was too late. The ice shattered into a million pieces and Link fell on the ground. Zaela charged her electricity and water power, then unleashed it. Link was being shocked and drenched by water at the same time while with every passing second the electric shocks got more and more violent and deadly.Link felt each one more than the last. He slightly opened his eyes and looked over at Zelda. 'You are forgiven...' He messaged, a lot weaker than before. Zelda felt helpless. Zaela kept blasting Link with her attacks and all she did was sit around and watched the show. She felt like a murderer and wanted to kill herself for this, though she knew she couldn't and even if she could, it'd be no good.
Finally, Zaela stopped and then charged all her magic into one large dark energy ball for a final attack; she threw it at Link.
Zelda didn't exactly remember much of what happened next, except for her scream of terror mixed with her sobs, kneeling before a dead Link and suddenly feeling a strange energy rushing through her."Great... What now?" Link wondered, floating behind Zelda. He looked around and watched Zelda. Danal sat up and looked over at Zelda. He slowly got up, a bit unsteady at first, but quickly got his balanced and walked over to Zelda. "Is dad...? His not...you know... is he?" He quietly asked. Zaela laughed. "That's right, you two, Linky over here is finally dead! Oh, Ganon would be so proud, not that I want him to be."
Zelda stood and felt her hands clench into fists. There were no more tears left for her to shed, only pure anger. "You killed him... you killed him and you think it's funny... you will pay, Zaela." She turned and faced Zaela, her eyes glowing red. "PAY!"
"So you're using the dark magic? I love this day," Zaela said, just as Zelda formed a fireball in her hands and shot it at Zaela, who dodged."I could have sworn she said she'd never use that magic..." Link muttered, watching the two... Danal took cover, hiding behind a tree to avoid the two's attacks."First mom now dad... This just gets worst.." He muttered to himself. Zelda had no idea what had possessed her to use the dark magic, but now she and Zaela were having a dark magic duel. She also didn't know that with every passing minute Zelda used the dark magic, she became filled with more and more evil. She fired a dark ball at Zaela, who gets hit. She lifts her in the air and thrusts her onto the ground, like what she did to Link earlier. Finally she stops and looks at Zaela. "I may be an immortal, but you're certainly not," she hissed. She could've sworn right then and there that she saw a flash of fear on Zaela's face.
She put a finger on Zaela's sweaty, upside-down forehead.
"You won't k-k-kill me," Zaela said, her eyes wide in fear. Now she wasn't afraid to show it. "Y-you won't. I know you, and you won't. If you do, you'll become p-p-permanently evil."
"Do I look like I care?" Zelda asked simply."Mom! Don't do this! Think of how Dad would feel if he saw you doing this! Don’t leave too!" Danal shouted, slowly walking over to Link's body. "Listen to the kid, Zelda. You'll break his heart. And that ghost husband of yours."
"I can't break them any more than I already have," Zelda said. "Especially that pathetic wimp, Link!" A dark light emerged from her finger and Zaela cried out in fear. The light surrounded her and Zelda, and when it vanished, Zaela was gone."You call Dad a wimp yet you resorted to Dark Magic! Dad will been known for fighting as much as he could when he died! You gave in, and now I've lost both of you!" Danal yelled at her. Zelda turned to face Danal. She held up her hand. "It's your turn, now, little boy..." 'Zelda! Don't hurt him! You know he speaks the truth! Get a grip on yourself, don't do this! I've lost you before and won't lose you again and Danal together. You think that you can't cause either of us more pain, but you will. Don't do this, please. Zelda, please, don't do this. I still love you.' Link tried to message her, hoping to get through to her. Zelda looked over at Link's ghost. "You just shut up, okay? Just because I can hear you and see you does NOT mean that I want to do either. Now leave, I've a kid to kill." She raised her hand again.Link stepped in front of Danal. "I'm not going anywhere! Don't you see!Your killing what's left of your family! What, you no longer care for Danal?! Maybe he is better here with me then!" He shouted. Zelda lowered her hand slightly, then shook her head. "Lies," she spat."No Zelda, see the truth! You’re going blind to the light, like Zaela! Why do you think I'm still hanging around here! I'm still because I can't stand to see you give in with out a fight and want to help you!" Link snapped, his fist clenched, angered. Zelda lowered her hand down to the side and looked over at Link full on. "I'm not going to fight you," she said.Link fixed a stare on her and slightly sighed. "Good... Now, you mind helping to get me back?" He asked, speaking calmer and not as harsh. "Um...I can, but you may need to talk me back out of evil again. Stand still." She raised her arms and a bright light emerged from her hands. She closed her eyes and the light wrapped itself around Link. "Lifus rebornus!" she said. The light vanished and Link's ghost flew back into his body.
"Hey, I did it, and I'm not evil again!”Link lifted his head. "You’re not evil again, are you?" He asked, slowly sitting up. Danal ran over to Link and fell beside him, and hugged him. Link put an arm around Danal and nodded for Zelda to come over. Zelda hurried over to them and gave them both a big hug. "I'm sorry," she said, tears streaming down her cheeks.Link put his other arm around Zelda. "It’s alright... I'll be fine... Eventually..." He said. "You two aren't breaking up then?" Danal asked slowly. Link just shook his head.
