Ku thought quickly.
"It's.. uh.. oh yeah, it's the 31st tomorrow."
There was an abrupt silence. Ku cracked a grin.

"Wooooo, Halloween!" he said, waving his paws around like some sort of weird ghost. "I 'spose that'd be perfect for you Abby?"

Abby gave a wide grin. "Are you serious? Halloween's tomorrow? How could I have let that one sneak up on me?" She continued smiling as she looked up at the sky, her tail swishing happily behind her. This would be her first Halloween since the accident, and she would admit that she was a little excited. Looking back at Ku she said, "Heck yeah. Halloween's awesome. That's when all the other undead creatures like me come out; the ghosts, vampiric assassins, lycans, and all those others. I don't know about you guys, but I could sure go for a lycan hunt." On second thought, maybe that wasn't such a good idea. She couldn't put mortals in that kind of danger.

Lue turned his head and gave Abby a weird look, "You must be really exsited..." he said turning his head straight again. He had never really liked Halloween or any Holiday for that matter, he just thought they were a waist of time. He never really did anything on those day anyways because it wasn't like he had friends or family to go get together with. I guess he could celebrate with these two... He thought for a moment and frowned, "Halloween huh?" He said aloud to himself thinking, "I guess I could go for a little ghost hunt or whatever you just said." He said his emotionless face returning. He remember one Halloween when he was little his so called friends asked him what he was to 'dress up' as and then pointed out that he really didn't need to dress up, so yeah out of all the stupid holidays, Halloween was the worst.

Abby shrugged but continued smiling. "Yeah, I guess I am kind of excited. This is my first Halloween since....well, yeah.....I never celebrated it before because Anna didn't. Strips used to try and get me to go to the Haunted Woods with him, but that's pretty much all I did. But something tells me this Halloween is going to be very interesting." She paused for a moment and tilted her head. "Ghosts are hard to hunt, and I really have no problem with them. But would you really want to do something like that? I was really only joking when I said we should go hunt lycans." Well, she hadn't been joking, but she wasn't sure it would be a good idea for those two to join her.

"Who is Strips and Abby?" Lue said changing the subject from Halloween. She hadn't mentioned anyone else so far and he thought she was alone... welll you couldn't judge a book by it's cover I guess...

Ku's face became quizzical at the word 'lycan', and his heart sank at the mention of another kougra male.

"There's probably gonna be werelupes as well, considering it's the full moon." he thought out aloud. "I met a werelupe once. Nice guy, but he had horrid breath."

He didn't mention her friend. He didn't really want to. He wasn't interested in her friend.

"I've never celebrated Halloween myself. It was really something my parents were 100% against." He rolled his eyes. "According to them, it's like discrimination against Halloween pets or something."

Abby giggled without meaning to, but quickly stopped herself and put on a straight face. "A lycan and a werelupe are pretty much the same thing. Whatever word you use for them really mostly depends on where you come from. Most people that were born in the Haunted Woods would call them Werelupes, but I've always heard them called lycans so that's what I started calling them........" She paused to think about what Ku parents had said about Halloween. "That's interesting; I never thought about that.....Oh and, Strips and Anna are two people I live with...sorta. Anna is the human that took me in, and Strips is a kougra that needs to burn in hell." She said that last part with a snort and a hint of a growl.

Lue raised an eyebrow, "You seem fond of him." He said sarcastically about this so called Strips. He looked over a Ku, "I have never really like Halloween." Lue emitted, "I used to celebrate it but after years of people saying that I could go as myself for Halloween I decided that I would just stop celebrating it." He said, not really caring. "I don't think you guys will do that to me so I guess I'll celebrate it this year if we get out of this cruddy forest by tomorrow..." He said emphasizing the fact that he didn't like being stuck in this forest again.

Abby gave a sheepish smile, picking up on his sarcasm. "Yeah, sorry. That probably wasn't something I should have said out loud. He and I just don't seem to get along......We used to, but not so much anymore." Truthfully, she hated him. If he were to die, she would probably stand over his body and laugh. But she also missed him so much; they had been such great friends. She just couldn't forgive him for what she thought he had done, when in reality, he hadn't done anything. Her wings drooped slightly as she walked in silence; trying to listen to Lue and Ku's conversation to get her mind off Strips.

"You used to? what happened to make you dislike him so?"
Ku asked curiously. He'd never really hated people before. Well, there had been a few, but not many he could remember.

Lue gave Ku a 'drop it and move on' look, he was kinda annoyed that Ku just dropped his conversation without even responding but that was ok, he didn't like talking about Halloween anyways and by the look of Abby she didn't like to talk about Strips. Lue let out a giant yawn, not because he was tired but more on the fact that he was bored out of his mind... He like talking but he rather do things instead.

"Oh, he went out and got a girl pregnant, and ever since then we can't seem to get along." She waved her paw in front of her face like it was nothing, but she really hated talking about it. She also found it weird how she or her life always seemed to be the topic of discussion, even when she was perfectly happy talking about something else. She was even beginning to wonder if Ku was doing it on purpose. Wouldn't that be interesting. For all she knew, he could be a vampire slayer, and here she was telling him everything. She decided that was something she would have to stop. She looked at Lue and smiled. "What's wrong Lue? Bored?" She wasn't exactly bored, but she'd admit that she could go for a little more excitement. But what to do? She'd have to give this some thought.

"Pretty much..." Lue said very curious now about this whole Strips situation but desided to drop the subject like Ku sould have done earlier. "I wish I could fly around and everything but all I can really do is blow smoke clouds..." He said blowing out a puff of smoke. He absolutly hated his wings, he would love them if he could fly and everything but no, he couldn't...

Abby tilted her head slightly. That seemed kind of random, but she got the hint; nothing that had anything to do with flying. She could do that, Ku didn't have wings at all so anything with flying and they would both be out of luck. She made a note that Lue sounded depressed, again. Maybe she should say something to cheer him up? "I rather like your wings; they make you look quite handsome, even if you can’t use them." She said, flashing him a small smile. She was still trying to solve the problem of finding something to entertain Lue. They were practically in the middle of nowhere and it didn't look like they had a whole lot of options. Hmm, they should do something to make Lue feel better about himself. He may not have been able to fly, but she would be willing to bet he was quick on the ground. "Just a thought, but do you guys want to race?" Dang, now that it was out of her mouth, it sounded incredibly childish.

If his fur wasn't so dark you could have probally seen him blushing from his chest up, no one had ever really given comment exept for, well no he had never been complimented... He ruffeled his wings again as he felt the reddness disapeaing. He turned to Abby as she asked her question; it did seem like a nice idea, they would probally make better time comming out of the forest and it gave him something to do, "I'm in!" He said smiling and looking at Ku to see if he wanted to race also.
