He grinned, "It's just down this way." He walked her down the street to the small cafe on the corner. A few plastic tables & chairs with umbrellas were outside. Some people were inside, but not many. It wasn't a very busy shop, but the food was okay. Dhia held the door open for her and walked in after Cera. It was a clean, small cafe, but they didn't do much business.

Cera walked in and looked around, it was nice and tidy. A pleasant smell surrounded them as well. A waiter greeted them with a smile and showed them to a table for two. Cera sat down and opened her menu, not really looking at it right away. "What would you two like to drink?" the waiter asked politely, "Just water for me..." Cera said and glanced over at Dhia. "And for you Sir?" She asked him in the same manner.

"No thanks, I'm fine." he replied, watching Cera read the menu. The waiter wrote down Cera's drink and walked away behind the counter. Dhia's stomach sank as he now realised he had no idea what to talk about. He hoped desperately that she'd think of something that they'd both be able to talk about. Why does this always happen to me?

Cera scanned the menu, her gaze was mainly stuck in the salad section where the vegitarian meals were. She looked up from the menu once she figured out what she was going to eat and smiled at Dhia, "Sooo...." She started trying to think of something to talk about, "Do you live around here?" She asked, hoping that he did...

Dhia nodded. "Yeah, I've got a small-ish apartment about a block away from here. It's not much, but it'll do." He smiled, why hadn't he thought of this? "How 'bout you? I don't think I've seen you around before."

Cera smiled when she heard that he lived in town, "Ha, well this is quite a big city..." She teased, "I live in a house a couple miles from the city, on the outskirts..." She said as the waiter brought her water, "Thanks..." She said and opened the straw, "So do you work in the city?" She asked, sipping some of the water from the glass.

"Uhh..." Could you call it work? It wasn't exactly as easy as everyone thought, stealing from people. It took a lot of effort when you went about it alone. When he was skint for money, sometimes he'd wait tables or wash dishes for money, but that didn't happen to often. "...in a sense, yeah. What about you, you live with your family don't you? Do you work?"

The waiter came back after he asked his questions and took out a small pad of paper, "Do we know what we are getting to order?" She asked looking at Dhia and then at Cera. Cera nodded, "Yeah I'm going to get a large house salad with Ranch dressing please." She said, pointing at her order on the menu. "And would you like anything Sir?" She asked turning to Dhia again and taking Cera's menu.

Dhia's empty pockets were weighing him down. "Uhh, no thanks, I'm not that hungry." He could, after all, go get something later if he got hungrier.

Cera gave him a funny look but then continued with the conversation, "Ummm, yeah I live with five others but no I don't have a job... Sarah, my owner, wants me to get one... She says it will help teach me responsibility or something like that..." She rolled her eyes and smiled. "What do you do?? Like where do you work?" She asked remembering that he had never really mentioned that. ((^^ tee hee))

((you're cruel, you know that? xD)) "Uhm..." What could he say to this? If he told her the truth, then it was likely she'd want to have nothing to do with him. "...just... just odd jobs for people not anything stable."

"Oh, that's neat..." Cera said with an overly amount of enthusiasm. "What other things do you do? Like hobbies?" She asked, wanting the conversation to continue and not letting the awkward silence creep in. The waiter came with her salad, "Here you go." She said, setting it in front of her, "And if there is anything else you need just wave." She said with a smile and then walked off. Cera started pouring the dressing over her salad as she waited for an answer.

Dhiablos sighed as the attention turned away from his 'job'. "Well, all kinds of stuff. I like reading, but I can't usually get my hands on a good book, there's not really much of a library in this town. I'd like to do archery though, it sounds like fun." He watched Cera drown her salad in the dressing. "What about you, what are you into?"

Cera agreed to that, letting out a 'uh-huh' when he mentioned the library. "Well..." She started thinking about the things that she would call a hobby. "I like to shop." She said with a smile, "I'm not much of an outdoors person. But yeah I think that I might be a hair dresser or something when I get older." She smiled and took another bite of her salad.

Dhia nodded, "Yeah, I've heard you can get good money from that if you're any good. Speaking of which, I think I need a haircut.." At that moment, a tall police officer walked into the cafe, here to buy a bagel during his break. He ordered it at the counter, before looking around the room boredly while he waited. His eyes fell on a teenaged mutant ixi, but he couldn't think to where he recognized him. "Here's your bagel sir." He took the bagel and glanced at the ixi again, remembering who he was. "Hey!" Dhia turned in his seat at the noise, then wishing he hadn't when he realised who it was.
