Cera glanced back over at where Dhia was. He seemed to be scrambling around with the fruit all over the floor. The shopkeeping lingered over him, an angry expression splashed across his features. He bent down and helped pick the produce up. Cera watched them some more and turned back to her cart. She straightened herself out, took a deep breath, and took a few steps forward, pretending as if she was examining some of the fruit in front of her.

I hope she's grabbed some by now, I can't stall for much longer, thought Dhia frantically, now helping the shopkeeper pile the apples in the perilious pyramid it was before.
((short, I know, sorry. Haven't had much time lately, but holidays are coming soon~))

((tis ok :]))
Cera desperately wished Dhia would come over and help her with this, her heart was pounding and all these guilty thoughts flashed though her head. The shop keeper approached her, "Can I help you with anything Miss?" He said in a friendly tone, "We have the best selection of exotic fruit around." He flashed her a smile and handed her an odd-looking fruit, "Guaranteed freshness." He added and beamed proudly again.
Cera nodded shyly and set the fruit back down, "I'm just looking right now." She said and smiled back weakly, "I'll call you over if I see anything I like."
The shopkeeper nodded and went over to help another customer that approached the cart, restating everything he had just pointed out to Cera. She took this opportunity to slip a small apple-looking fruit out of eye's sight and casually stroll back into the crowd. She could feel the adrenaline pumping though her and hear her mind yelling at her to put the fruit back. She ignored it and felt a smug smile creep onto her face in triumph as she looked down at the small stolen good in her hand.

"Did you - oh good, you got something." Dhia walked over to her and smiled at the small fruit. "That's not bad for your first try." He dug into his pockets and unearthed three small apples. "You want one?" He grinned.

Cera smiled, "Yeah, thanks..." She said slightly embarrassed by her small gain, "Lets find a bench or something..." She said looking around and finding one perfectly nestled under a tree. "Over here!" She pointed out and headed toward it at a quick pace, wanting to get away from the fruit stands as fast as possible. She took a seat and patted the spot next to her with a smile.

Dhia smiled as he sat down next to her and took a large bite out of an apple. Considering it was fairly small, he downed half of the fruit in a mouthful. Dhia hadn't realised how hungry he was until he'd started eating. He finished the apple, core and all. "So," he said, grabbing the other one out of his pocket and watching her eat, "How far is it to your house?" Dhia was looking forward to meeting Cera's family.

Cera took her time to eat her fruit, chewing the bites slowly and enjoying the flavor. She was quite proud of acquiring her meal so she wanted to savor it. She swallowed and smiled, "Not too far, about a twenty minute walk." She said and finished off her fruit. "I don't know who all will be home..." She said, pulling out her cell phone to check the time. "I should probably call Sarah and tell her we'll be over there shortly...." She said knowing that she was going to be in trouble for not calling her or anything all morning. Cera flipped open the phone and dialed the number for home. It rang three times before someone picked up. "Hey Azura, is Sarah there?" She said into the mouth piece. "Yeah, hold on." Azura answered in a crisp clear voice, "It's Cera." She stated and rustling could be heard as the phone was transferred around. "Where have you been!! You didn't answer any of my calls or texts or anything!" She yelled into the phone. Cera held the phone away from her ear and gave Dhia a helpless look, "I'm sorry, my phone has been low on battery so I turned it off..." She lied, hoping Sarah would believe it. "Don't give me that..." Sarah said, detecting the lie, "If your phone was off it would've gone straight to voice mail..." She said in an irritated tone. "Sorry...." Cera sighed, "I'm on my way home... I invited my friend over though cause he was nice enough to let me stay last night." She said and another string of mutters and growls could be heard from the other end. Cera put some 'yes's and 'sorry's in there before flipping it back closed. "So yeah Sarah didn't really think I stayed with a guy last night." She said and bit her bottom lip, "You can still come over but don't be surprised if you don't get a super friendly welcome." She said with a small smile.

"That's okay. I figured I would anyway, considering I don't much like the idea of dressing up as a girl." He smiled and stood up, taking a bite of his second apple. "Shall we?" Even if Sarah decided to throw things at him and yell at both of them until she was hoarse, Dhia didn't really mind. He was used to conflict and figured he may even be able to talk his way out of it anyway. Besides, Cera's siblings sounded interesting.

Cera laughed at his comment, "Uh, yeah sure." She said and smiled. She tossed her core into the trashcan next to the bench and stood up, joining Dhia by his side. "Right this way, kind sir." She said with a smile and gestured the way they needed to go before heading that direction.

They headed down the street, walking away from the busy marketplace and deeper into suburbia. Dhia longed to hold Cera's hand, but knew it would be awkward. Instead he shoved both of them into his pockets. The street was quiet and somewhere there was a dog barking. "Wow, this area is pretty nice," said Dhia, more to himself than to Cera. Most of the houses were double-storey houses with neat little gardens and trees. (Sorry, late and short. )

Cera nodded, "Yeah..." She answered with a small smile. For some reason she felt bad for Dhia. Here she was living in a nice place like this and not even paying a cent for it because she has Sarah who paid for all of it, and Dhia lived in his little apartment and had to steal things for food.... Her golden eyes fell to the floor as she thought about it and she stayed silent for most of the walk. When she did look up she smile, "We're almost there... Just a few more blocks." She said and glanced over at him, "Figured out what your gonna say to Sarah yet?" She said with a small laugh. She couldn't even begin to think of what to say if she was in his position.

He grinned. "I was thinking of something like 'Hi, I'm Dhia. Thanks for lending me Cera for the night." Dhia laughed. "I don't know, what do you think I should say?" Though he'd said he was excited about going to Cera's, Dhiablos felt his anxiety building as they grew nearer to Cera's home. He wasn't scared, so much as nervous.

Cera laughed at his comment, "I really have no clue... Maybe you should be like, 'Hi, I'm Dhia. What lovely shoes you have on today; blah blah blah... And like really spiff things up." She continued to giggle.
