"No, that's fine, I don't mind." Dhia felt like he could spend an eternity just watching her sleep.

Cera didn't wake up till past noon the next day. She let out a small yawn and rubbed her eyes. She was surprised that she had slept this whole time. She usually couldnt stand the bright light in the mornings. She sat up and stretch, her body popped a few times from the awkward position she had been in on the couch. She glanced around the room and saw Dhia slunched over on the other side of the couch. She smiled and scooted closer to his side. "G'morning sleepy head." She said in his ear.

Dhia's ear twitched; he opened one eye and saw Cera. His heart leapt. He closed his eye again and yawned, leaning back and stretching his arms. "Morning," he said sleepily, rubbing his eyes. "Hmmm, so did you sleep okay?"

"Well you can only sleep so good on a couch..." She said with a laugh, leaning back against the back of the couch and avoiding his stretching arms. "What about yourself? You looked pretty comfortable a few seconds ago."

"Hey, I can sleep anywhere, don't you worry about me." He looked around the room sleepily, noticing by the daylight that it was definitely past ten. "Geez, I wonder what the time is. Sarah's probably expecting you back, huh."

Cera frowned, "Yeah I guess so." She looked around and spotted her small grey phone lying on the floor beside the couch. She picked it up and sure enough there were two missed calls and a text message. "Yeah..." She sighed and looked back at Dhia.

"Hey, I'll walk you home if you want. Besides, it'll be cool to meet your family and I'm sure Sarah will want to yell at either of us." Dhia sat up and smiled, brushing his messy hair out his eyes. Although it was usually messy, because he'd been asleep his hair was sticking up in all directions.

Cera thought for a moment, "Yeah! She won't yell if there are other people there." She displayed a sly smile. "I'm starved though..." She said and clutched her stomach as let out a low grumble. She blushed slightly, stood up, and stretched some more. "Wanna eat before we head out?" She asked him, extending out her hand to help him off the couch.

"Huh, well I'll see what's in the fridge." He got up, stretched again, and walked into the kitchen. Sunlight was pouring in through the dirty window. Dhia's bare feet scuffed the cold, tiled floor as he made his way to the old refrigerator, littered with a few magnets. He opened the door and looked inside. Amidst the cold, refrigerated air, there was a block of old cheese, a jar of mustard and... little else. "Huh, maybe we should go out for breakfast. Apparently, I need to go shopping."

Cera laughed, followed his footsteps over to the kitchen and looked over his shoulder at the empty fridge, "Sounds good to me. Lemme get my shoes." She said and walked over to the door to slip on her shoes. She frowned though, "My purse and stuff was back at the restaurant that we ran out of..." She said and ran a hand though her hair, "Do you think I could go back and get it without causing a fuss?" She asked him, worried about all of her money and stuff that she left.

"It's okay, I wasn't planning on buying anything anyway." Dhia paused, wondering if she understood. He too slipped on his shoes and they headed out of the apartment into the street.
Some minutes later, they'd walked into the busy marketplace a few blocks away. People were rushing in and out of shops, haggling, carrying (and dropping) shopping, talking, chatting, selling, eating. There was music coming from somewhere. It was the usual morning routine at the marketplace. There were rows of crates that were stacked with various fruits being tendered to by shopkeepers, most of them very busy. Dhiablos knew that breakfast would be easy to come by, but he wasn't sure if Cera would approve. He glanced at her sideways, gauging her mood. Dhia put his hands in his pockets, humming to himself. "So, what do you want for breakfast?"

Cera loved the marketplace atmosphere, music, and people. She stayed close to Dhia as people rushed by them to get to their destinations. Several shopkeepers shoved random products in her face and tried convincing her that they were the best in Neopia. She would politely turn them down and move one. She watched Dhia as he looked around at the fruit, "Umm... I don't care, I'm not a picky eater. Fruit is fine." She said with a smile, scanning the overflowing crates of various fruit.

"Okay, that's good. What I want you to do is go over to that guy selling fruit," - Dhia pointed - "and start talking to him. I dunno, ask him how much something is. Make it up. When he's not looking, grab a couple and hold them behind your back. You'll know when to take some." At this point, Dhia looked around and walked off into the crowd. He headed around to one of the fruit crates, opposite to where he directed Cera. Apples were piled high. Precariously high.

Cera stood there in shock. Did he really think she could do this? Yeah she could talk to him, keep him distracted but actually taking the fruit? She watched as he slipped away over to another fruit stand and frowned. I can't do this... What if I get caught... I've never done anything like this, I'll probably drop them or something. I just know I'll get caught... She thought as she turned to her fruit stand. She reached in her pocket to see if she had any money and signed when she didn't. I'll just skip breakfast... We're going back to my house... I'll just get something there....

Dhia thumped the fruit crate. Hard. Torrents of apples fell down onto the ground as Dhia scrambled to pick them up. The shopkeeper came over and began to make a fuss over the fruit. "I'm really sorry," Dhia said with an armful of fruit. The shopkeeper frowned. "Darn teenagers..." he muttered as he helped to pick them up.
