Cera smiled, "Yea... I need to go to school for it though." She said and looked back down at her salad. It really wasn't filling her up like she had planned... She started pushing it around with her fork absent mindedly when... "Hey!" a police officer yelled his eyes fixed on Dhia. Cera's expression turned completely confused as her eyes fell down on Dhia. "What's going on...?" She asked her heart sinking. The police officer started pushing chairs and tables aside as he made his way over to their table...

"Cera," said Dhiablos, thinking fast, "I know we've known each other only for a few hours, but can I ask you something - do you trust me?" He said this very fast while getting up and holding out his hand.

Cera had gotten up as she saw him get up. She looked down at her hand and then back up at the police officer. "I, uh..." She started, her eyes wide with fright. In movies the police usually came across as the bad guy so she wasn't too fond of them. Dhia on the other hand had only been nice to her and she didn't really want to lose him just yet. "Yes..." She breathed, looking over at him. "HALT!" The officer yelled, pushing over a chair. Cera jumped back a little, squeezing the hand that was now in hers as the chair clattered against the floor.

"Come on!" Dhia ran to the door with Cera, knocking a table down as he did so, in front of the door, hoping he could stall the officer. He skidded out of the cafe with Cera behind him, before turning into a small alleyway, just as the police officer got out of the cafe. "HALT! I order you to HALT!" Unfortunately, he had a partner who had been waiting down the road in their police car - he got out, and began tailing them down the alleyway.

Cera was already having a hard time keeping up, she almost tripped once but caught herself with her wings. They hummed as they beat a hundred times a second behind her. She continued to hold onto Dhia's hand but as the police car grew closer she reacted in grabbing Dhia's shirt and lifting him up with her. She flew to the roof, set him down, and then landed beside him, out of breath. "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit..." She muttered, pasing back and forth. "You don't think they'll come after me now too cause I helped you?? I'm the only pink faerie bori around, I'm sure I'm not that had to locate... Oh shit..." She said, panic washing over her.

(sorry, I've had issues with my computer. ^^; )
"Look it'll be okay," he said, regaining his footing and legs after the recent flight, "This isn't the first time this has happened to me. I know what I'm doing." "There they are!" called someone loudly from below. Dhia looked over the edge of the building, horrified that the two policemen had abandoned the car and were now running up the fire escape. He looked around desperately, his heart hammering fast. They were trapped unless they went down. He ran to the other side of the roof and looked down at the road below. The edge of a windowsill caught his eye. "Follow me!" He swung over the edge of the building, landing gingerly on the windowsill. Slowly, he reached his hands down to the windowsill (hoping no-one was inside), grasped it and kicked through window, glass shattering everywhere inside. Fortunately, the room was empty. Dhia crouched on the floor quietly, waiting for Cera to fly throught the window.

Cera's eyes grew wide when she heard the police officers and stopped her passing and looked over at Dhia who was running around trying to find an escape. "Follow me!" He yelled and jumped off of the edge. Cera gasped and ran to where he jumped, looking over to see him bust through the window. She relaxed a little until she heard the advancing of the officers. She jumped down, hovered near Dhia as he climbed in through the window, and followed behind him. Once they were in Cera landed and closed the curtains. "What is going on?" She asked, looking over at Dhia, confusion sweeping over her.

The small room was empty, it appeared to be a storeroom of some kind. Dusty boxes littered the room, some stacked to the ceiling. The lights were dim. Dhiablos could just make out the door behind a few larger crates. "You know when you asked me about my job?" he muttered, shifting a heavy box that was near the door. "I can't say I was truly honest to you, and for that I'm sorry." The way he said this sounded insincere, in an off-hand sort of way.

Cera crossed her arms, watching as he moved the boxes around, "Well what do you do then?" She asked afraid that he was some sort of killer now and was planning something. She had also made herself alone in a dark abandoned with him which made her very uncomfortable..... Very, very uncomfortable. She was all tensed up now, her teeth clenched and her eyes fixated on Dhia who continued moving around the boxes.

"A little bit of this and that... I guess you could call it stealing..." He didn't look at her when he said this, moving around the boxes. Dust rose in little clouds as he moved the stuff around, finally clearing the doorway. Dhia placed his hand on the shabby doorhandle and looked at her. "Woah, someone's tense," he said with a small smile.
( I had this idea to make the door locked, but with Cera being so uncomfortable I figured it'd be a bad idea.)
He could still hear sirens, but doubted the police would know where they were. Dhiablos only hoped they didn't notice the shattered glass on the street below and put two and two together.

Cera was relived to hear that he just stole stuff and didn't kill people or anything. She smiled a bit in response to his smile, it was kind of hard not to. "Yeah its not everyday when I go out with a thief and get chased by the police..." She said, walking over to the window and looking out. "It's intense." She said turning back around to look at him. A small smile crept back onto her face, "Now what?" She asked, looking down at the door, "Is it open?"

"Sure is," he said, noticing her smile - she couldn't have been that worried about it. His mind particularly picked up " its not everyday when I go out with a thief" and he smiled internally as well. Not bad for a day's work! Her question snapped him out of his reverie. "Yeah, I think so." Dhia jiggled the handle, and it opened rather stiffly. The doorway led to an empty hallway.

Cera stepped up close to Dhia to look over his shoulder to see what was beyond the door. "Are we going down there?" She asked... It was pretty dark and they were doing fine in the room they were in... They just needed to wait a few moments till the police decided to give up on looking for them.

"I don't know," said Dhia. "I don't think they know where we are." He turned to her. "Listen, I'm really sorry with all you getting caught up in this, I mean we only just met today..." He felt really awful for dragging her into this. Cera is such a beautiful person, he thought, I don't really want to drag her into this. It was dark in the old dusty room, but Dhia guessed it was probably about late-afternoon now. He couldn't hear the police outside, but it didn't neccesarily mean they were gone.
