I nodded and fell to sleep instantly.
When I woke, it was still night and the fire had gone out. Or, at least I thought so. I waved my hands in front of my face. I frowned and stood up, feeling my way out. I found a doorknob and opened it. A gust of wind pushed me back, and then it died and I fell on my face. I opened my eyes and looked up at the sky. I waved my hands in front of my face again. Then it dawned on me. And so did total panic.
"Wha... wha... what's happening? I can't see!" I screamed. "I can't see!! Help, somebody, anybody, I can't see!!" I began to cry and scream like a madwoman.
((By the way... it's morning. XP))

Rasi bolted upright, he must have fallen asleep after all. He ran outside after the girl, kneeling beside her, "Shhhh," He said putting a hand on her shoulder, "Hey hey, no one can hear you, shhhhhh." He said trying to calm her down. He thought that something was wrong with her eyes, now he knew....

((I'm switching back to third-person. It's easier. ^^))
She was clutching her head with her hands, gasping in shock and fear. What was wrong? She couldn't see, but why? This was not a very piratey way to act, she knew. But right now all she could focus on was that she couldn't see. And though she couldn't remember anything either, she knew she'd had sight before, because she thought in pictures, and she had seen last night. A black veil of darkness was in front of her eyes, and she couldn't get it off, and it frightened her clear to the bone.
"This is... not... good!" She took in a deep breath and screamed again, rocking back and forth, putting her fists on her ears in an attempt to block out her screams and crying. The person next to her... Rasi, was it his name? put a hand on her shoulder. She flinched. "I can't," she mutterd. "I... it's..."

Rasi took his hand back and looked at the girl, he really didn't know what to do. He had never experienced being blind and no soothing words came to mind. He sat in the snow, just looking at her, "I'm- I don't know what to tell you..." He said feeling sorry for the girl, "You might get your sight back." He said still not finding any helpful words. Then it hit him, "I know someone who can help you though..." He said, "He lives on the other side of the mountain though, a three day hike..." He suggested. There was really no alternate way though, she could either see this man or keep her blindness...

She stopped, and raised her head. She turned her head to where his voice was coming from. "R..Really? You'd bother with that for me? Do you even know me?"

Rasi let out a sigh, "I have to get to a town anyways, I am running out of supplies and I can't leave you here. Your..... blind and won't last a day out here." He explained. "Come on lets get inside and we can introduce ourselves the right way." He suggested, standing up.

She stood and paused, unsure of what to do next. Rasi seemed nice enough, but where was she, and how did she get here? Could this person Rasi wanted her to meet really help her see again?

Rasi wasn't quite sure what to do, "Well you want to go in?" He asked, her face showed much thought in it. She had a lot to think about, she just became blind, she was lost along with some guy she doesn't even know, and this guy randomly wants to help her. He really had nothing better to do, he kinda wanted to help her too...

She nodded. "Sure..." she muttered, not sure what he was talking about. She held out her arm for him to lead her with like she'd seen people on TV do.

Rasi was surprised that she was actually trusting him, she seemed uneasy him at first... He smiled and took her arm, walking back toward the shed. He opened the door and brought her back to where she was sitting, wrapping the blanket around her shoulders, "I am going to go get some more firewood and I'll be right back mean while you think of something you want for breakfast, I have fish, fish, and ummm, fish if that is ok with you." He said hoping she wasn't vegetarian or something.

"Fish sounds good," she told him, walking where he led her, hoping he wasn't going to walk her off a cliff or something.

"Ok then, I'll be back." He said and closed the door so that the cold wind would get in. He walked around back and found the pile of firewood under the snow. He brushed it off and brought it back around the shack and inside. "Let me get this fire started and I'll go get the fish." He said taking out his lighter and flicking it on. It took him a while but he finally got the fire started. He left again and picked out a couple of pointed sticks and fish. "Ok....." He said talking so that the girl would know he was back, he stuck the fish with the sticks and set them over the fire to cook. "Ok so while the fish is cooking would you like to give me a name?" He asked.

She stood there, listening to him move around. She felt for a wall and slid down to sit on the ground.
When she smelled fire and fish cooking, Rasi asked for a name. "Ummm," she mumbled, searching for an answer. "Uhm... it's... ummm...."

Rasi raised an eyebrow, "You must have hit your head out there..." He said taking the fish out of the fire, "Well what do you want me to call you?" He said wanting something to call the girl by, he wasn't the type to call a girl miss or anything... He scooted closer to her and pulled off some of the meat from the fish, removing all the scales and bones before giving it to her, "Careful it's hot." He said cautioning her.

She frowned, thinking. Her fingers absently toyed with one of the many necklaces on her neck. It was a leather collar with a charm in the shape of a skull hanging off it. She vaguely remembered a name on the back of the charm. She pulled the collar off and handed it to him. "I think there might be a name on the back of the skull," she told him.
