Cera tore her eyes from the suitcase and looked at Ara, "Ummm, sure..." She said wondering what was so cool about her backyard. Her own backyard consisted of a vegetable garden and weird flowers that Sarah planted that you really didn't want to smell unless you wanted your nose bit off...

OOC|| Wow three pages already? Sheesh! lol  || Arathyne nodded. "Follow me." She led her down the stairs, out of the inn, and down the road to her house. She wandered inside to see if Lilium was home. "Mom? Mom, you home?" When nobody answered, she checked the cupboards and fridge. They were empty, like they had been when her owner left, meaning she had yet to return. "She's probably chatting with someone she just met," she muttered, leading Cera through the house and into the backyard. The jungle opened up to them like the pages of a book. "Stay close, and you won't get lost." She looked for the little bag she'd hung on a tree branch earlier, and took it down, tying the string through a beltloop in her jeans. "You still wanna come in?" |

Cera was surprised that she had such a big backyard... "Have you've ever gotten lost?" She asked but then wished she had taken it back, "Never mind you could probably just fly back home..." She looked at the bag with a confused look, "What's that for?" She asked gesturing at the back that hung around Ara;s waist.

Ara held up the bag and grinned. "This is full of flags I stick onto tree branches so I don't get lost. Are you crazy? It's near-to impossible to fly out of here. This is footing ground, girl."

Cera looked up at the tall branches above her, "I guess you right..." She said not liking the fact that her flying ability was now disabled. "Ok well where are we going?? Anywhere in particular?" She asked looking back down at Ara.

"Yeah," said Arathyne, looking around the trees to find where her starter flag was. "There's a trail somewhere to Geraptiku, I found it a while ago, and marked the way with blue flags... But we're not going to Geraptiku, not really. Right on its outskirts, I found a tunnel that goes under the city, but I had no time to explore it because it was raining and flooded out. Mom doesn't want me to go there, but she's not home right now and I don't really care." She found the flag and began to follow them.

Cera laughed, "Ok, sounds good to me..." She said thinking this was all pretty weird but it did give her something to do. She also figured that since Ara brought her suitcase all the was to the hotel and got her that great room, keeping her company was the least she could do. She followed Ara in front of her who was following the flags, "How far away is it?" She asked looking ahead of them only to see a never ending forest and then darkness.

"Not too far," she answered. Light poked in through the spots in the sky where the long tree branches or leaves didn't block it, giving them enough light to see but also that funky spotted look. "About a ten minute walk."
Several minutes passed before Arathyne spoke again. "So, um, last time we met, we didn't really talk much. You obviously know something about me, so, er, tell me about you. Got any sisters?"

Cera was enjoying the silence, all you could hear were birds chirping and the wind blowing, she looked over at Ara when she asked her question, "Oh yeah I have two; Dre, who is a ghost, and Azura. I have a brother too, his name is Lue... I should introduce you to them one day..." She said, Ara had introduced all her siblings to her and it would be neat if she could meet her family to her too.

"Does your entire family drive you crazy?" she asked, thinking about her own. Ronyshia was too much of a goody-goody, and such a suck-up, and liked to show off her 'earth powers'. They used to get along when they were younger, but now they were so different they barely had reason to speak to each other. Vinetaa she hardly thought of as a sister, being a pirate and all. Arathyne often called her a traitor to the family, accusing her of one day stealing everything they owned and running off. She got along best with Tahtrei, but even they had it shaky. She wasn't too fond of being related to a witch, prone to become a sorceress every day. Arathyne knew in her heart that if Trei became a sorceress, she would protect her family, despite the fact that she hated them most of the time.
Sometimes, however, she felt a little jealous that her sisters all possessed some magic and she didn't have any. Even Vinetaa had some, and could control water, and though it was a very small amount, it was still something. Being painted fairy didn't give you powers. You were either born with it or you weren't, or you were given powers in some weird freak accident.

Cera gave Ara a weird look, "No... Me and Lue get along the best, well I think so anyways. He is sooo sweet and funny, I don't know you just have to know him I guess..." She said smiling, she teased Lue alot and they would do bets and just have fun really, "Dre on the other hand is almost never home... She has this job thing that she does that I still don't understand even though she has explained it to me over a million times." She said she smile fading, "Azura is just there really, she is pretty new to the family and I haven't gotten to know he rmuch soooo, yeah..." She finished looking back at Ara. "Why do you say that?" she said asking about the whole crazy family question Ara had asked first.

She sighed. "I have three sisters, and well, we just don't seem to mix. Roni drives me crazy with her constant perfection, and all Trei needs is do commit an act of evil and then she'll kill us all in our sleep. And that dirty pirate..." She said the word "pirate" as if it were a curse word. She scowled. "I can barely call her my sister. All three of them get along really well, but I don't seem to work with any of them. I can't walk in my house without feeling like a total outsider. The only thing that keeps me from running away is my owner." A small smile crept onto her face. "We're most alike. She's lots nicer than I am, but when it comes to our interests and general personality, we could almost be the same person. She's the better version of me, though. I may have the fairy look, but she's the fairy inside." She knew that sounded really strange, but at that moment, she could care less. It was true, there was no denying it. Arathyne could only sigh and wish she could be more like Lilium. But those feelings could never be revealed, so she didn't sigh aloud.

Cera nodded, halfway understanding what she meant. "Sarah is pretty cool, she is kinda weird too but it's all good..." She said smiling, Sarah was usually playing on her computer and soccer all the time but when she was home it was nice to have her around, "She is usually busy with school and soccer and crap like that, but we have a pretty good time when we hang out." She said still smiling and looking over at Ara, "I met Lilium at your house last time, I think... I'm not quite sure... You said all of your siblings have been painted? That's cool..." She said, sounding like she was having a conversation with herself...

Arathyne half-laughed. "You met her when her hair was red. It's not usually like that, that was just an experiment. And you didn't meet her under the best circumstances - last year, she had a temper that could kill. We were very, very alike back then, but she's gone through the inner transformation I have not. I don't know if I ever will." But I really, truly hope so, she added silently. I hate being this way. But it is what it is and I can't change it... I don't think. "And about the painted thing... Mom practically broke her neck trying to collect all the money. She painted me first because she freaked when she saw the "retired" label on the fairy paint brush." ((For reals, last year I was awful. I hated everything and everyone and I actually got to the point where I began planning people's deaths.  Luckily, I got over it before anything REALLY bad happened. I guess my sanity was still pretty much there. I was... I dunno. Myself, I say I was a monster, but I haven't really shared that thought with anybody. But I'm all better now! )) |

((I don't think I have really changed... I am probably more depressed because I have moved and everything and nothing has turned out the way I wanted it to but I am slowly getting over it...  )) Cera now had no clue what she was saying but just nodded, "Yeah that's cool..." She said and noticed that the forest was thinning some, "How long do you think we have now??" She asked hoping they would get there soon so she could take a break, she was still tired from dragging her suitcase all over the world and this whole adventure thing was just making her legs hurt worse... |
