Phyn glanced at Lue, then at Checkr, and last of all Daani. "No there wasn't. There aren't even tracks here." Phyn stated, purple eyes wide as she shuffled a bit. Something was obviously wrong here, and she had no idea what was running through the mind of that aisha.

Daani sighed. There was no vocal sound to it, but it still sounded like a sigh. She stood up meekly, taking back the notebook to write, "Never mind. Tell Lue I'm sorry." She gave it back and hid halfway behind Phyn, shy and embarrassed. She looked down at her sneakered feat.

"She says Sorry." said Checkr to Lue, but then chased after Daani. "Hey.. Don't feel bad.." she said in what she hoped was a comforting voice. Comforting people had never been her strong point.
The annoying hair flopped in her face again, but she completely gave up in keeping it away. "Look.. maybe you had.. like a ... vision?" she mused, not sure what it was called.

When Daani came over, Phyn did her best to slip around to the otherside of Lue. When Checkr was trying to comfort Daani, Phyn perked up a bit, still a but creeped out. Her antennae flicked, and she commented on Checkr's comment.
"Vision? That's an idea." she said, trying be helpful.

Lue just stood there, still in quite a shock. The girls where running all around him, chasing this Daani girl who just tackled him and telling her it was ok... "Girls are weird..." He muttered, still standing still, only moving his tail out of the way so that no one stepped on it. "Why doesn't she know sign language? All mute people know sign language..." He said speaking up after a while. He thought Daani was strange right from the beginning, "She is obviously faking that she is mute so that we will help her." He muttered in anger.

Daani's ears picked up on Lue's mutter. She glared at him. She opened her mouth in an attempt to yell, "Not all people who can't speak know sign language, you jerk!" but instead out came a breathy sort of rasping sound. She started coughing, her throat burning in pain, and ripped the notebook from Checkr's hand to furiously scribble what she'd intended to say on it. Then she threw the notebook, hard, at Lue and ran off in fury, eyes burning with hot tears.

Lue picked up the notebook, not fazed by Daani's sudden outburst. He attempted to read the scribble on the page but gave up and threw the notebook down. "Sorry Phyn... I'm going to go." He said more sorry about leaving Phyn than the other two. He shoved his hands in his pockets and started walking off, hoping the ruki would follow but doubted she would after that incident...

Phyn started after Lue, glancing back at the other two neopets. "Where are you going?" she asked once she had caught up with him, her stuff banging away at her shell. She fluttered a bit to help her catch her balance, and was soon trotting next to him, occassionally looking back at the other two.

Checkr was left standing with Phynn, looking confused, and angered. She had heard some of what Lue had said, not all of it though, and her lip was curled in anger. The kyrii was also more than a little irritated about having the notebook ripped out of her hand.
Eyes flashing, she turned to Phynn, and said, not unkindly, "You should get him, you know him better." With that she went off in pursuit of Daani, hair billowing out behind her.

"I dunno..." Lue said letting out a sigh. "I guess I screwed up back there and seeing what that aisha did I figured you would all be mad at me so I left before the insults came." he admitted stopping and looking down at his feet. "She tackled me though, for no apparent reason...." He said looking back up, "I'm a little freaked out now, I mean gosh, she saw a train or something..." He said rolling his eyes.

"It's okay. I'd probably be snappy if she tackled me, too. I'm sure they'd understand." she replied, doing her best to comfort him, though she wasn't exactly sure if it was all true. "It's not like everything was your fault." she finished, looking up at the sky before absentmindedly fiddling with her camera.
An idea struck her and she grinned, lifting the camera to her face. in moments she had the lupe in focas and had clicked the button. The shutter snapped and the ruki burst out grinning.

Daani was sitting behind a trash can in an alley, crying. It sounded like she was crying, but without any vocal whines or whimpers to it. She had her arms curled around her knees, which she cried into. She was so afraid... and Lue had been so judgemental. It wasn't her fault she couldn't speak and didn't know sign language.
Knowing that memory and the ability to do things, such as speak in another language or cooking something you'd always been excellent at, were in two completely different parts of the brain, she figured she obviously didn't know any sign language at all. From this she deducted that she either had once had a voice or she'd simply never learned sign language.
Either way, she hated Lue. She hated him. So why did she wish he would forgive her and be nice?

Lue put his hand up once the flash went off, "Hey!" He said smiling. That probably wasn't the best picture, he wasn't smiling or anything... "Uggg, that was horrible, let me see it." He said taking the camera and trying to see the previous picture. He had never really used a camera before so he just started hopefully puching buttons...

"How do you know how horrible it is?" she joked, letting him take it out of her hands. When he started his random button pushing though, she took charge. "Alright calm down will you?" she said with a grin, hopping alongside him.
"It's this button, if you must know," she poked one of the round buttons and on the small screen appeared a picture of a rather depressed looking lupe.
She looked over his shoulder, peering down at it. "See, it wasn't too bad, as far as photographs go."

"oh..." Lue said not really liking the picture of him. As far as he knew it was the only picture of him, "Here take a picture of me smiling if you must have one... That one is all sad looking." He said handing her back the camera and giving her a big cheesy grin. Cracking up in the middle of it and laughing.
