ooc: Ummm... First I would like to say Hi! And I will be using Drift, so go look at his profile X3 And I can't get on every day so please, please don't hurt me.. *eep* I sorta got a plot, but it doesn't matter that much, so yeah.. *will play out plot accordingly, possibly* This rp may have some violence in it, nothing too extreme. It would be appropriate for neopets, if you're worried X3 Sorry that it's so long XDD
Setting: City, at night, late-fall, rain/sleet.
BIC: The buildings were cold grey shafts standing silent vigil in the gloom, their sides catching no light from the moonlight, emnamating bravely from a thin crescent. Their sides, blackened by fire, stood out like ugly scars. Almost every single window was broken or boarded up. Fire blackened glass littered the street. The alleyways gaped like silent mouths, opaque white fog drifting out.
Cars roared on the nearby highway, making a chain of light, creating a soft, sad roar. This city was dark, and nearly silent. Nothing moved save a plastic bag that was caught by the wind. It skittered across the cracked asphalt of the street, before becoming stuck against a set of concrete steps.
Suddenly there was a scraping noise- a black, heavy soled boot against broken glass. The figure who had materialized onto the sidewalk from a nearby alley paused, head cocked. He was a gelert, fur black, green eyes constantly moving, looking. His ears, instead of standing up in typical gelert fashion, fell limp, the very tips of them almost down to his waist. In the darkness the bright green crescent mark over one eye seemed to glow. He was dressed simply- boots, dark gray jeans, black trenchcoat, gloves.
Casting another sideways glance around, Drift's hand dropped down to the sheath he was wearing at his belt, hidden under his trenchcoat- his sword Elemental. A sudden noise, like a footstep, echoed loudly in the near silence. Almost without thinking Drift had darted into the nearest alleyway, pressed against the wall and staring outwards.

((I apologize if this isn't very good. I havn't ever used Shallo in a RP before ^^. Let alone his anthro form. Just refer to his picture, except he does have fingers, I just didn't draw them ^^.))
The dark figure standing some ways away didn't catch much attention in the dim atmosphere. Well, dark with the exception of the sterling white stripe running down his back. The swirling grey marking were barely visible against his dark grey skin, the visible space under his jaw a rather more visible space. Large fins broke at intervals from his back, with his powerful tail swishing behind him. His Large flipperlike feet remained unadorned, his think sandpaper-like skin protecting him from the glass underfoot.
One hand was clutching the black cloak-like jacket. The tattered ends hung with rings of different styles. The gold accents on the jacket matched the belt, giving one the idea of a Quasalan. This of course was conflicting with the maractite staff the jetsam held, studed with rings like the jacket. Besides these small bits of extravagance, a simple dark purple shirt and dark blue-grey pants finished the outfit.
The sorcerer allowed himself a grin, his mismatched eyes showing dimly in the darkness. It had been awhile since he had been in the streets, of any city let alone this one. One his hand was the ring that alloed him to breath on land. He had seen the gelert, but for now kept his silent vigil.

A young slender kougra walked down the street, a look of sadness on her face as she looked at all the shadowy abandon houses. Her long dark brown hair bounced with each step as she clutched a small tan purse and walked down the worn streets. The kougress wore an aqua long-sleeve shirt and a blue jean jacket that contrasted with her tan fur. The only jewelry located on her body was two golden rings that hung on her long tail, clashing every so often and producing a harmonious jingle.
The seventeen-year-old let out a sigh, not liking the state that the city was in and hating the fact that she couldn't do anything about it. Her name was Azurayet, otherwise known as Azura, and she was on her way back to a cave she had left years ago, hoping that all of her belongings were still there. She looked at the ground as it passed underneath her, trying to avoid the sight of the city that she was walking through.
((Sorry horrible intro but you get the point...))

((Ooo, looks interesting. I think I'll join as Strips.))
"Bloody f***ing son of a b****." Were the exact words muttered by a tall dark purple feline as he ran through the city he was unfamiliar with. There was nothing behind him so it was hard to tell what he was running from, but whatever it was had managed to hurt him before he could get away. His head turned behind him every once in a while to make sure the thing wasn't still back there, but it didn't do him a lot of good to look on account that his semi-long hair kept getting in his eyes.
His left hand was held firmly on his right shoulder as he ran, though this action seemed to impair his running severely. It was necessary though, in order to keep from loosing too much blood. He appeared to have been shot in the shoulder or something, and blood was leaking out of the wound and soaking his hand.
During the midst of his running, while he was trying to look behind him, he tripped over his long, baggy pants and fell face first onto the ground, though quickly rolled himself over and sat up. He pulled himself as best he could on the road until he was able to lean up against a dead tree. First instinct told him to check his shoulder, so he still hadn't really noticed where he had wondered into yet. As he pulled his hand away, a smile slowly started spreading across his face. And that smile quickly turned to laughter, almost to the point where he was rolling on the ground laughing. "Well, that was fun" he said aloud, still a hint of laughter in his voice. He really shouldn't have been laughing, considering the circumstances, but with all the events leading up to that moment, he just had to laugh.
He shrugged his condition away, not caring to see how bad it was or was not, and started looking around the town. "Where the hell am I?" He really needed to start paying attention to where he was going when he traveled, but he never did. This placed seemed off to him though, and something told him his troubles were far from over.
He stood again, rather quickly and continuing to look around, and reached a hand behind him to grab the dagger out of his belt. In a place like this he felt the need to arm himself, though at the moment he couldn't see another soul around.

((My turn! Let's add a little something to the mix, shall we? *grins evilly*))
On beelike wings that fluttered at a hundred flaps per second, the faerie zipped away and into the darkness before she was seen. She clutched her bow tightly in her grip and pulled another arrow from the quiver. If there were other suspicious-looking people around, she wanted to be ready. The arrow she'd just shot had merely grazed that someone's shoulder, and that someone was probably on the move, out to find her.
She wore baggy dark blue jeans and a baggy black sweatshirt on to cover her equally baggy ash-gray t-shirt. Her normally white tennis shoes were now so dirty they could pretty much be considered a blackish color. Dirt- and mudstains were smeared across her clothes, arms, face, neck, and in her blue hair. If there was any dirt on the red collar she wore around her neck, she didn't see it, or look for it, really. The bow in her hand was a smooth cherrywood longbow with a thin white (now blackish) string that gave her great range. Her arrows were fletched with crow feathers, from a type of bird back in the mysterious other dimension that humans lived in most of the time. She used to be quite fond of the sword, but it had lost its captivating spell on her. The moment she'd touched a bow, however, she knew it was her weapon. She was a natural at it and one hell of a good shot.
With the slight breeze came the sound of maniac laughter, and she crouched down, arrow at the ready, waiting for something to come at her. When nothing did, she moved stealthily through the back alleyways until she came upon a dark figure looking anxiously out at the streets ahead, hand on the hilt of a blade that her eyes rested upon. She slipped back behind two trash cans and peered at the figure suspiciously through the gap in between the two.

((*evil snicker* It's beautiful, I love it.))
The tall darigan's ears flicked and a cold chill ran down his spine. He now felt the same way he had before the arrow had come out of nowhere; felt like he was being watched. One ear bent backward as he listened, and at the slightest noise, he spun around quickly. His eyes darted around but never found a figure to rest on, and his heart rate started increasing like crazy. His breathing grew heavy and rapid, and his hand gripped the handle of his dagger tighter. It wasn't like him to be afraid, even in the face of death, but fear had somehow managed to overcome him. He hated this feeling; made him feel like an animal. He knew he had done some pretty wicked things in the past, but he thought he was done having people randomly take shots at him. He took a single step backward as his eyes continued to dart around, and his bare foot landed on a burnt piece of glass. Felt kind of good, actually. As he continued to stand there, he moved his dagger from his left hand to his right, so he could again hold his shoulder with his left hand. Though this move did him no good strategically on account that his right hand and arm were pretty much useless when it came to combat. He stood there motionless after that, waiting for something to happen, or perhaps he was too afraid to move.

Once the figure turned towards her, she stayed as quiet as she'd been. Silently watching, her icy blue eyes noticed him clutch his shoulder. She shifted her vision and noticed that it was the Darigan Kougra she'd shot earlier.
Noiselessly, she pointed her arrow at him from between the small gap. It was just big enough for the arrow to go through. She aimed for his heart, and loosed. The arrow flew through the cans, causing a spark as it sped through them, and embedded its head deep into the Kougra's chest.

((Heheh, even more beautiful. Strips: People aren't very nice to me. You'll get over it.)) The kougra hadn't even seen the arrow coming, it came at him so fast. He was usually pretty good at dodging things too, but only when they came from an amateur. It was clear to him that this was no amateur, but he hardly had time to think about that now. He roared in pain as the arrow entered his chest, dropping to his knees as he did. He dropped his dagger and wrapped both hands around the stem of the arrow, but was smart enough to know better than to pull it out. Still, it affected him more than he would have guessed, and he quickly went from landing on his knees to falling over onto his side. His breathing turned heavy as he felt his heart rate slow, and for a moment everything around him seemed to fade away. He was left thinking only of the son he had lost, and the beautiful girl he had hoped to see one last time. His memories drifted to a hospital, where he clutched the lupe's hand as he held the little half-breed in his other arm, and these thoughts brought a smile to his face.

((Yeah well, Strips you're not really nice to people either. xDDD Besides it's not like Anna will just let you die.))
She smirked in triumph, and a sharp tingling enveloped her body. She sank into the shadows and rolled toward him. Once behind him, she twirled into the air and took the shadows with her. She merged the shadows and her molecules, making her a shadowy being hovering in the air. She started laughing at his pain. "Having fun there, little kitty?" she mocked cruelly. She held the shadowy bow behind her back.

Shallo, of couse, had watched the preccedings with intrest. not that he was an entirly violent soul, but it /was/ better than wandering about this city aimlessly. Sharp teeth turned to a grin as he saw the shadowy figure approaching.
His hadn slipped to one of the many rings on the staff, and it jingled slightly. With a small tug like movement, one of the rings slid through it's hold and into his hand ((magic)). With deft movement of a habitual gesture he slipped the ring on, become as invisible as magic would allow. Of course the staff continued to jingle, and his shuffling noises were as easily heard as before, but he blended into the background like any invisible pet.

((Noooooo, Anna wouldn't do that. *cough hack* *evil snicker* Not yet, anyway.))
Strips's mind was snapped back to reality at the sound of the mocking voice, and the smile was quickly wiped from his face and replaced with bared teeth. "What do you want?, you little piece of shit." He was in no mood to converse with the being who wanted him dead, though could see why she would want to gloat. But he was no longer interested in playing this game, and as long as he still had a breath left in him, he would have his revenge. The fact that this was a female child no longer had any relevance to him. A bloody hand reached around blindly to try to find his dagger again, but his vision was blurry as it was and right now he had his blood red eyes locked on the stranger.
