"Well I gave the murder mystery back, but I still have the Lupe anatomy and the fantasy book. I got this one on the history of several clothes designers and this other one's the sequel to the fantasy book." She smiled. She really was liking Cera. She was nice.
"So how far to your place?" Amma asked.

"Not too far of a drive. With those books it would have been a hard walk though." Cera said before Lue could finish his conversation about the books. He let out a smoky sigh and sat back against the seat and stared out the window on Amma's side so he didn't completely turn his back on them. "Hey, don't do that in my car...." Cera said and rolled down a window to let the smoke out. "Sorry." Lue said with eye roll as the wind blew his curly black hair away from his face.

Amma, strangely, liked the way the wind moved his hair. And she had no problem with the smoke, like Cera. She found it somewhat friendly. It reminded her of times when she and Lue were kids, and when he was irritated, he would puff out smoke and it would make the adults who were sensitive to smoke a little mad. She would laugh when he did that. Now she realized how much she had missed it, and she felt herself blushing... yet again. She rolled her eyes at herself but smiled anyway.

Just because it seemed to annoy Cera and keep her distracted he continued to blow a small stream of smoke and watch it get sucked into the vortex the window made. Cera grumbled something under her breath and Lue chuckled as he took in another big gulp of air before slowly blowing it out as smoke. He glanced sideways at Amma, realizing that it might be annoying her as well but only saw a smile across her face. He smiled too and stopped, turning to her, "What?" He asked with another chuckle and a friendly shrug.

She waved her hand dismissively, saying, "Ohh, nothing. The smoke just makes me remember old times, that's all." She looked down at her feet nervously, still smiling, still red as a beet. She couldn't help but giggle a little at Cera's annoyance and at the memories, but she kept it quiet.

Lue's smile grew bigger again as he noticed her pinkish color and couldn't help but laugh along with her small giggle.
Cera couldn't help but smile either. There was no doubt in her mind that Lue was flabbergasted by her. She didn't blame him either, they seemed perfect for each other. "Wait so you knew him before the train?" She said confused at her statement.

"Yeah," Amma admitted, knowing she was walking in dangerous waters now. "We were both made in the same lab many years ago. He and I were really good friends. But I guess he forgot all about it, and me," she joked, playfully punching him lightly in the arm with a laugh. She wouldn't tell much. She'd just give only the bare minimum of details that were needed, and nothing more.

"Ahhhh, not my fault." Lue said with a smile, he couldn't believe that he could ever forget a person like Amma but unfortunately he did. He rubbed his arm even though the punch didn't hurt him at all, "Yeah she was there when the lab blew up or whatever." Lue clarified and looked over at her with a smile. He still couldn't believe that he found someone who knew him before the accident. It was just so weird that someone connected with him so well.
Cera slowed down and pulled into a driveway. She put the car in park before commenting, "Wow that is amazing..." She said finding this just as incredible as Lue did. "It was like y'all were mean--" She cut herself off before she let anything slip, "Would you like something to drink Amma? We have drinks in the fridge in the garage." She said as the garage door opened. "Lue I need you to help unload the groceries..." She said and pressed another button to pop the trunk.
Lue nodded, handed Amma her books and opened the door to let himself out. He then jogged around to the other side and opened Amma's door, "You've got all your books soo.. uh yeah..." He said as he stood by her car door, his face heating up again.

Amma knew what Cera was going to say, and it made her blush even more. She nodded at Lue's attempt at a sentence and stepped out of the car. "Umm, not really, thank you," she said in response to Cera's offering of a drink. Her books were really not that heavy; she shifted them to one arm and pulled out a grocery bag to help bring inside. She shot Lue a fake-angry, teasing look as if saying, "Yeah, I'm taking these, what you gonna to about it?" She snickered and began to take the bag inside.

Lue gave her a sideways glance as she climbed out of the car and headed towards the trunk instead of the garage. He closed her door and followed her, wondering what she was up to. She grabbed a bag and Lue opened his mouth to object but was stopped short by her glare at him. He then returned a playful smile, grabbed the other bags, closed the trunk, and followed her inside.
Sarah was sitting on the couch, plastic guitar in hand, and glued to the scrolling keys on the tv screen. "Hey just set everything on the counter, I'll get it later." She said without taking her eyes off the screen. Cera just giggled, "You sure you don't wanna help? I would love you help Sarah..." Strange sounds came from the guitar as she missed some of the notes on the tv. "Yeah just a bit, I'm almost done..." She said with an annoyed tone.

Amma walked into the house and put the bag on the counter, looking around. It was a really awesome and colorful house. Amma wasn't used to being inside people's homes, so it was pretty special for her. "Wow, Lue, you're house is really cool," she said. "I like it." She laughed.

The strange sounds could be heard again after Amma made her comment about the house. Sarah then paused the game and whirled around, "Why hello there....?" Sarah said with slight confusion in her voice. She looked Amma over as a smile crept across her face. "And who might you be?" She asked, her eyes then turned to Lue, expecting him to answer her question.
Lue felt the butterflies, the redness, and a rush of 'oh crap what do I do now' come over him. He glanced over at Amma and smiled weakly, "This is Amma." He said and nodded, "I met her on the train, you don't mind if she stays the night do you?" He said but already knew it would be ok, expesially when Sarah developed that goofy grin. He scuttled to the kitchen and started putting things away. Looking over at Amma every now and then to see what her reaction was to his house and most of all, family.

Amma smiled at Sarah and said, "Hello, you must be Sarah... I'm Amma, an old friend of Lue's. I hope you don't mind me intruding on you for the night. If it's any bother, I can find a hotel or something." She tried not to laugh at Lue's funny expressions and Sarah's really stupid grin.

Sarah shook her head, "No, no, you're very welcome here. We have an extra room or you can stay down here on the couch." She patted the armrest, "I'm sure Lue'll be a gentleman and show you around the house. Right?" She started more as an order than a question.
Lue looked over at her as he closed the fridge door and nodded, "Uh, yeah." He said and smiled, "Well this is the kitchen, you can help yourself to anything." He said and continued in showing her the pantry, plates, and silverware. "Over there is the family room. We've got over 300 channels and games so you can play those too if you'd like." He then went over the rest of the downstairs and gestured for her to follow him upstairs. He pointed to all the doors as he mentioned them, "Cera's room, Ze and Azura's room, Rasi and my room, Sarah sleeps in her room downstairs." He pointed out and then he led her to another room decorated in dark blue, "And this is your room." He said with a smile as he showed her in.

The room was really nice and better than anything Amma'd slept in lately. "This is really great," she told him with a smile. "Thank you. Your family is really nice. I find the human particularly fascinating. I've... never really seen one up close." She blushed, feeling incredibly stupid. Yeah, she'd seen humans walking around towns and stuff, but not a lot of them were around anymore. And she hadn't gone anywhere near the humans when they were forced back to their own dimension by the Rekah ((translation: hackers killing accounts and people getting so frustrated they don't play anymore)). She'd stayed as far away from them as she could.
