And all at once, when Cirx calmed, the music stopped and the darkness was sucked away and they landed on a hard stone floor. A nearby lit torch illuminated the room.
"I told you," she said, "being calm, it often helps." But the music still rang in her ears... she wanted it to come back.

"Well, it's not like this is an every day occusance to me," he said after having landed. He took a deep breath, looking around the room curiously. Te light from the torch made him feel loads better, but he still wasn't sure what was going on.
"So...is this a normal occasion for you?" he asked, turning towards her. His placed his hand lazily on the hilt of the sword, almost habit now after practise for the performance.
"or rather, do you know what to do now? I mean, you know that song..."

"No, this isn't 'normal occasion' for me, either," she replied, not unkindly. "And I don't know what next or where we are, I just know that we're here, so we might as well move." She pulled the torch easily from its iron cup on the wall and walked down the spiral staircase as if she weren't holding a very heavy iron torch in one hand. It didn't even feel heavy.

The split lupe followed after her, pulling at his collar and fingering the sword in it's scabbard. His ears stood alert as he followed the shoyru, silently wondering why they had been brought here, and what was in store for them.

The staircase seemed to swirl down forever, but finally they came across a heavy wooden door. Carefully Roni took the latch and pulled it. The door didn't make a sound. She peeked in. The next room was a large circle with several doors, and it was empty. She opened it wider and stepped through.

Cirxel looked over roni's shoulder and followed her into the room, his tail swishing behind him as he went.
"Where do these doors lead, I wonder?" he said, walking up to one and running his hand over the smooth wood. He halfthought of opening it, but turned to face Roni instead, waiting for her response.

"I'm not sure," she answered. She walked into the center of the circular room, looking around. A strong tug was pulling at her towards one of the doors, on her left. She pointed. "I think we should check there," she suggested, making her way there. She tried the knob, and it was unlocked, so she pushed it open a little. It too didn't creak. She peeked inside and found a long hallway lit with several other torches. The pull was more intense here. "Let's go," she whispered, making her way down the hall.

Cirxel hopped after her, looking around at the torches and fiddling wiht his collar. It really wasn't the most comfotable, but he was stuck with it for now. "Whatever you say, m'lady," he said in a somewhat hushed voice, following after her as they traversed the hallway. He wasn't to thrilled about what they might find there, but it was better than any plan he had.

They wandered down the hall to the door at the end. Roni put her ear up against it. She thought she heard voices coming from inside. She listened.
"We have enough problems," came an irritated female voice. "We don't need you to make more for us!" "Look, I'm sorry!" said another female, fear in her voice. "I didn't do it on purpose!" "She's the princess," another hissed, "and you almost got her killed. Don't you know my Lady wishes to do that herself?" "What do you want me to do about it?" asked the scared one. "Go get her," commanded the first. "She's in the tower not far from here. And bring her here."
There was movement and then the door opened. A dark faerie looked straight at Roni and Cirx, two more behind her. "I got her," said the faerie, stunned.

Cirxel had followed Roni's lead but didn't catch the begining of the conversation. But as soon as the door opened he had drawn his sword and was brandishing it forward, letting out an arm to push Roni behind him. He probably looked a right fool to the faerie. Wearing a ridiuclous outfit that looked like it must have some from some age of Neopia long passed, his hair a mess, and feigning bravery bordering on foolhardyness. He kept the sword aloft, eying the faeire with some concern.
((I'lol just leave the faerie to you for now, I'm not yet good at working extra characters XD. This is my first real onexone too...))

((lol, seriously? XD))
The other two hurried to grab them. Roni beat one of them with the torch, but another grabbed her arm. Purple smoke flew out of one's hand, and Roni was beginning to feel drowsy. "How about you two escapees take a little nap?" asked the one who'd thrown the smoke. The three of them laughed. Roni's vision clouded with the smoke and she fell limp against the one faerie holding her arm.

Cirxel had done his best to fend them off with the sword. The original one he had managed to force back, but when the smoke hit he lost his drive, the effect of it hitting him strongly. She dropped his sword, falling into the wall before collapsing on the floor.
((wow, spectacular post, eh --'? and yeah, this is my frist that didn't die after the first 4 posts XD))

When Roni woke up, she was in a cold, damp room lying against a stone wall. She groaned and tried to move her arms but they were held back by iron shackles. She scowled and looked around. "Ix?" she whispered. "You there?" She saw the cell bars through the weird fog in the room.

Cirxel groaned, shifting against the wall, he heard Roni's whipser and murmered back. "Yeah, I'm here. Not feeling the greatest though." He grunted and he did his best to reposition himself, twisting along the wall. His collar was killing him, this was probably the longest he'd had to wear the stupid costume. His ears twitched and he stopped for a moment to look around. He could barely see through the mists, but he made out Roni's shape along the wall as well. "So, you're a princess? Is that what all this is about?"

"I'm not really a princess," she answered quietly, a note of sadness in her voice. "Not anymore, anyway. I don't know what they want." But she did know, sort of. Were these the very same group of dark faeries that destroyed her kingdom over a hundred years ago? She could feel the grief and anger run through her veins.
