Roan looked calmly up at the falling, flaming rocks. He gently scooped the unconscious Arathyne into his arms and stood up. Her head and antennae drooped backwards, and he held her close as he carried her away. He was actually surprised he was strong enough to do such a thing, but thought nothing of it and prayed all the while he carried her to safety that the magic of the charm that kept him alive now wouldn’t fizz out and make him drop Arathyne.
“We’ll be safe,” he whispered into her ear gently. He passed by a pink faerie Bori, but paid her no attention.

The building that Lue and Azura had gone into had filled up quickly, Cera hesitated and changed directions, running toward another shop with more room. She copied Dhia and held her arms over her head for protection as they reached the shop. There was about ten people in there when they burst through the door and still a lot of room. Cera took a table far from the windows and sat down, out of breath from all the running.

Phyn didn't reply till they were inside, but as they were pushed aside by the many other people trying to get in, she was still biting her lip in pain. "Don't worry about it, it'll probably heal," she repsonded eventually, turning and trying to take stock of the damage. two wings on one side were fried with a fairly large hole, the thin membrane burnt.
"Phyn, are you alright?" Omega asked, coming over. He hadn't seen the ruki in a while, but he was a close friend. He took hold of her shoulder, looking over her to make sure she wasn't hurt anywhere else. Gorrio had followed behind him, but kept his gaze on the window, watching the storm.

Dhia followed her inside and took a seat opposite her, staring out of the window. Meteors were crashing through Neopia Central and reducing most of it to rubble. He shook his head and put his head in his hands, leaning on the table.
"This is crazy." he said finally. Dhia took his hands away from his face and looked at Cera, before another meteor hit close to the shop. The ground shook uncontrollably.

((Hayley, Fsufan, I love your story. Can't wait to read part dos.  )) Avoiding the building packed full of people, Roan carried Ara into the building next to it. It was locked, so he kicked the door down to get in. It was the furniture store, and its employees were long gone. Closing time had been hours ago. He set Ara down on a couch and went to fix the door. |

Cera about fell out of her seat, she grabbed the table and the booth behind her to stabilize her while the ground quaked. This was all like a bad dream... A good and bad dream mixed together. She was kinda happy to see Dhia and Ara again but on the other hand this weather and magic crap was making it scary.... After the groung stopped shaking there was a pause... She shook her head sadly, "Is the world about to end...?"

Lue took a seat against the wall, his body feeling weak and sore with each movement. What was wrong with him? He was perfectly fine this morning... He smiled when he heard that Phyn was ok but still felt bad for her, she was out there because he was out there...

He looked at her. She looked so scared, and he didn't know what to say. "I dunno - look, get under the table-" he said, copying what the other people in the shop were doing.
"If it is," he said, not looking at her, "I just want to say that I'm sorry - for everything."

((Yes, Cera, it is. ^_^)) Vi, Trei, Roni and Daani took shelter under a lean-to that Roni made. She'd collected the asphalt and earth underneath it and shoved it against a building, and they'd hidden underneath. So far it proved sturdy. "What in Neopia brought on THIS?" Roni asked. "Beats the hell outta me," Vi said with a shrug, earning a scowl from Roni for the language. =================== Lucy groaned when she heard of a faerie Xweetok stirring up trouble. It could only be her Arathyne. She just hoped she was okay, and not too many people were hurt... for, while she didn't know much of Ara's little "secret", as Ara never let Lucy near her when she was acting strange like that, she knew that it wasn't good. "It's... bad. And I don't know anything about it. I don't even know about it until my head hurts. Then I know it's coming."Ara had told her that one time when she came home after a week, and that was all Lucy had ever gotten out of her about it. =================== Ara stirred slightly. Cera was halfway under the table when he apologized she stopped for a moment and looked at him, her eyes peeking over the table's edge... "I'm sorry too..." She said completing her movement, "for being a asshole earlier..." She muttered leaning her back against the wall and looking down at the ground. "I just..." She started looking back over at him, not knowing what to say.

Rasi wasn't quite sure what was happening, all of the sudden people were scrambling and screaming. Someone had taken the faerie xweetok and all the other girls fashioned themselves a shelter. The others scurried away to other shelters. Rasi dodged a meteor and started running for a shop, most of them were full and had put up closed signs... Finally he found and 'opened' one and slipped in even though this one was just a full as the other. "Lue, Azura!" He said spotting them and making his way over to the other two.

Roan heard the groan. He’d put the door up and looked behind him. He smiled slightly and walked over to her. He sat next to her on the couch and pulled her into his arms in the same way he’d carried her in, only sitting and not going anywhere.
“You took quite a fall there,” he whispered with a small chuckle.

"It's okay." He moved closer to her. "I probably deserved it," he laughed weakly. The ground rumbled as another meteor hit close by. He looked at the ground, then back at her eyes. "I missed you." Dhia said, figuring he may as well say that, because he didn't know what else to say.

Niko was shocked. He followed them quietly to the furniture store, and snuck inside while Roan was putting Ara on the couch. He hid behind a dresser and large chair, peeking through the small gap they made between them. He watched them in the darkness, a perfect view of Ara and a great shield from their eyes. He was heart-struck when she was picked up so. Ara would wake and slap him, he knew. She'd kick his ass. (heh, I decided to start using proper spell-check and grammer  ) |

She nuzzled closer to him, enjoying the warmth. She put a hand on his chest and opened her eyes slowly. She looked up at him. "Roan...?" she murmured. "I... thought you were..." She couldn't say it. It was too horrible. ------------------ Lucy glowered at everybody. "Hey Sarah," she said. "This is boring. Let's do something. Now's not the time to try and escape wherever this is, but we need a game or something. No songs, though-- I'm not in the singing mood. |

Cera laughed with him but knew it was the truth... She smiled though when he said that he missed her, "I have too-" She stopped was this just another way for him to get to her...? She could never be too sure, she wanted all the lying to stop but there was no real way for her to tell... She did miss him and wanted to catch up on things but she couldn't trust him, not after what he did... Her eyes drifted to the ground, not finishing what she was going to say.

I smiled, "You sure you don't want a song?" I asked, a scary looking grin appeared on my face. I quickly vanished, "Ok ummmmmm how about I spy?" I suggested and looked around, "Hmmmmm, I spy with my eyes something, black." I said turning back to Lucy and smiling again.
