Lue looked over at Phyn, "Huh? Daani...." He said and fell silent, he had left her outside... "Checkr should be out there too..." He said and stood up, "Lets go find them." He suggested and started hearing toward the door, motioning for Phyn to come with him. He really didn't want to run into Daani again but he didn't want her to be outside at the moment either, not with all these random natural disasters going on....

Phyn nodded, taking a moment to grab her nearly empty bag. As she made her way to the door, though, Omega stopped her.
"If you're heading out, be careful. Gorrio's out there now, so if you see him, ask him if he's found anything." He said, moving aside, begining to brush dust off himself.
"Please, Omega, I'll be fine," she said, brushing hair out her eyes as she started out the door with Lue.

Daani sat upright when the ground began to roll underneath her. She stood and searched her person. Where was her gun? Finally she found her revolver. She loaded it. The self-pitying Daani was gone. The hunter was out, but not necessarily looking for witches this time.

Roni followed Gorrio and Omega, wondering briefly if she was causing the earthquake. She didn't feel like she was using any sort of magick. When the chunk of pavement started to lift, she knew she had to do something. She yelled for one of them to keep an eye on her. Closing her hands together and placing her left index and middle and right index fingers to her mouth, she muttered one word and felt the ground pulse beneath her. Her body fell to her knees and she sat on her legs but her hands remained in position. She left her body.
She was in the ground, rolling with the waves it was making. She searched for the epicenter of the earthquake. It was discovered quickly and she found an energy source bubbling with warmth in its midst. She headed for it and identified a Lupe with pyrokenisis and abnormally obtained earthen powers. With her magick, she called out to the earth powers. Her vibe was sent out as a peaceful, 'How did you get here?' and came back as an angry 'STOLEN'.

Vi got out from under Rasi when she saw Roni leave. She knew exactly what her sister was about to do. She helped Rasi up and said, "I need to go keep Ron's body safe. You can come if you want." Quickly, she made haste out the door and toward where her sister was sitting. She held the body up in case it fell over. Roni's face was plastered with concentration, but also a sort of calm.

Checkr continued running along the desolate street, calling out to Daani every so often but gradually losing hope. She suddenly stopped, breathing hard, then stumbled and fell as the earth shook again. The first time it had happened she had been sprinting, and had gone crashing to the pavement. This time was really no different, save her momentum was less, so that was good, atleast.
Employing the choiciest curse she knew, Checkr sat there for a moment in thought, before hearing the crunch. She pricked her ears up with alarm, and stood up, looking uneasily into the alleys, before heading towards the noise. "Daani? Daani!! Where the hell are you?!"
The kyrii was beginning to get irritated... No, scratch that. She was.

Umber felt Roni.. Or something at least, like a troublesome fly that had chose to bat at her mind. She snarled silently, the rage building up, fast, then lashed out. The ground shook again, this time the earthquake nearly doubling in power, though was a little less then half the duration of the previous ones. Several loud crashes echoed as a result.
The chunk of pavement she had been lifting suddenly rocketed through the air, Umber blind to as where it was aiming, but sure it would hit "something"...

Gorrio watched as several walls and building around him crumbled, and he quickly look for the center of it. But he didn't have time to figure anyhting out. The huge peice of floating rock had taken off at an amazing speed, and Gorrio let out a rather odd squawking sound he must have inherited from his mother before darting for the ally below. The hectic rock kept it's up it's speed int he air, smashing the occasional roof as it went. Gorrio quickly looked back at it, and rather unceremoniously crashed into something. Or someone. The hissi had managed to fairly dive bomb into the them and was now lying on the ground after falling away from them. He gave a small moan, turning over so he could sit up. (it was checkr, just a little fyi)
With the hitting of the last earthquake, Phyn fairly fell over, landing flat on her stomach without much grace. She gasped as the air was knocked fomr her, and slowly sat up again. Once she got her voice back she turned to Lue.
"We'd better get searching," she said, standing up quickly and looking around. Her antennae were standing alert, and she quickly called out.
"CHECKR? DAANI?"
Omega jumped as the most powerful of the earthquakes hit. Some of the windows shattered and he was fairly certain one of the walls cracked, but he was too busy keeping from falling over as he grabbed the table of the booth. The sword slid to the floor and his chain rattled haughtily. Once it stopped he let go, looking around cautiously.
"Everyone alright?"

Something at the back of Dhia's mind twitched with slight discomfort, as if something was going on that he'd forgottten about. "Do you feel that?" he asked Cera awkwardly. x-x The Central Serpents were in chaos; at the earthquake, most had hidden under scattered coffee tables or behind the bar, the others had fled to the doorway or elsewhere. Roque had steadied herself and assessed the damage; a corner of the ceiling had begun to cave, and some foundations had crashed through the ceiling, leaving others trapped behind rubble. Those who had been spared of damage were helping the trapped; others had formed a group to go out into the streets to see if there was anywhere else to hide. Roque was one of them. She ran out to the street and cupped her hands to her mouth. "Dhiablos! Dhia, where are you?!" x-x Dhiablos gripped Cera's arm in shock, his other hand towards his ears. "Listen, Cera... as much as it's great that I've finally got time with you, but I think we should go back," he said quickly, "We should go check on the others... your family, d'you know if they're okay?" |

Lue tried to stay on his feet when the ground shook again but ended up falling. He looked back at the pizzaroo to make sure that everything was still of over there and then looked up at Phyn. "Maybe you can fly up and look around and I'll search here on the ground." He suggested figuring they could cover more ground if they split up.

Rasi didn't really understand what she was talking about, "Uh... ok." He said and followed her. "What's she doing?" He asked, eyeing the other shoyru.

Cera gave his a confused look, "No, feel what?" She asked, starting to worry. "I don't know how to get out of here... I don't even know how we got in here! Ara, er, Lael opened some kind of hole in the ground...." She said and stood up, "What the hell is going on?!?!" She asked, putting her hands to her face and shaking her head slightly.

((Dhia and Cera can't feel the earthquake unless they're in the ballroom and change the surroundings to Neopia Central. And they can't leave because Ara's not available at the moment. XD))
"She's trying to stop the earthquake," Vi answered. "Or at least investigate."
Roni felt the attack and returned to her body, which fell back in a recoil. Luckily, Vi was there to support her.
"You okay, Ron?" she asked worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Roni put her hands together and then leaned on them onto the ground. A shock went down when she touched the pavement, and then shot upward and around, tugging at the earthquake and pulling at it. It stopped. Roni stood and flapped her wings, flying onto the roof behind Umber. Moss and vines and ivy grew up the side of the building at impossible speed, crawling across the flat roof until they locked onto the Lupe's ankles, holding her where she was.
"What are you doing?" Roni demanded.
Trei, who had been sleeping, woke as soon as the quake began. She was outside in time to see her sister fly onto the roof of the bookstore. "What is she doing up there?" she hissed to Vi, who shrugged.
"Trying to stop whoever's up there, making the quakes, I assume."
Trei growled. "I need to go help her," she said, but then her senses sharpened and she lunged at Rasi and Vi, taking them down to the ground just as a gun was shot, whizzing over their heads as they fell. Trei scrambled to her feet, looking over to see Daani with her smoking revolver smirking at her.
"Don't you see that now is not the time?" yelled Trei sharply.
"Not the time?" Daani repeated. "Magick's going haywire all over Neopia. The only way to solve this mess is to get rid of the magick. You're magick. So I'm here to exterminate you." She shot again, and Trei dodged, missing the bullet by a hair. Daani's eyes went to Rasi and Vi, still on the ground. "They're both magick, too, aren't they?" she chided.
Trei's eyes narrowed. "This is between you and me, hunter," she said fiercely. "Leave them out of it!"
But Daani had already shot at them. The water from a nearby puddle jerked up and soldified, and the bullet bounced off the wall. The water barrier dropped, and Vi stood up, pulling Rasi up with her.

Phyn nodded, but as she prepared to take off she heard the gunshot back behind them. She stopped still as a rather distinct flashback of an oddly content 11 year old holding a rather large gun came to mind. She quickly turned, sprinting back the way the had come as more shots rang out. As she rounded the corner she caught sight of the struggle, not quite sure she believed it.
"DANNI?!? What in the world are you doing?"
Omega jumped at the sounds of the bullets outside, and he snatched up the sword. He looked outside, but figured since Gorrio and Roni were both out there he'd keep his position as guard and stay put. They could probably handle the lunatic who was shooting people right now.
((God, Shallo's really boring right now XD))

Lue chased after Phyn as he heard the gunshots too. When he rounded the bend though he couldn't believe his eyes. Phyn had practically taken the words out of his mouth so he didn't really say anything.
Rasi got up quickly and froze the gun, making it unusable ((right? If you freeze it it can't spark, make gunpowder catch fire, and make the bullet go? I don't really know what much about guns so yeah...)) "Maybe some of us magic people can help fix it. None of really know what's going on so before you start going on a killing spree you should find out the cause of all this is first!" He yelled angerly.

Daani didn't seem to hear him. Or if she did, she didn't listen. She yelled at the dead gun and chucked it at Rasi. A fireball burst from Trei's hand and incinerated the weapon. The ashes fell in a pile at Rasi's feet.
The Aisha was prepared, though. She pulled out her .5 caliber from underneath her trenchcoat and fired. It hit Trei right through the edge of her arm. A large chunk went missing and the Xweetok began to bleed. Vi collected water in front of her and pushed it out with a yell. Instead of hitting Daani, it shot forward, turned sharply and slammed into Vi. She flew backwards several yards. "Damn! It backfired," she growled.
"This little baby is impervious to your tricks," Daani warned Rasi. "It's got all sorts of anti-magick bits on it. You'll be lucky if I don't blow your head off on the first shot." She aimed and pulled the trigger again. The shots broke through the air.

By this time Phyn had regained the ability to act, and had rushed at Daani. Whatever the aisha's problem was, it was probably not worth killing them for.
"Daani, stop this insanity this instant!" she said, attempting to yank the weapon out of her hands.
Omega kept his post near the door, tightening his grip on the sword and watchign the darkness outside cautiously.

Daani noticed Phyn instantly. She jerked her gun out of Phyn's grasp and slammed the butt of it into her gut. "You're not magick, Phyn, so I don't see why you're worrying." She looked up at Lue, but continued to speak to Phyn. "It's not like I'm going to attack you."

Ara woke up again. She was still feverish, and she was shivering despite the many layers of blankets she was tucked into. Someone gave her more water and put a cool wet cloth on her sweaty forehead. She was asleep again in an instant.

Rasi droped to the ground as he heard the gun fire and covered his head with his arms. Once he heard the aisha's voice again he looked up and back at Vi, making sure she was ok. He then turned to the Xweetok, "You need to go." he commanded her and then got up.
Lue caught Phyn as Daani hit her out of the way and then stepped in, "Yeah but you'll be attacking my friends and family!" He growled and grabbed the gun, "Now let go." He said in a low voice, his eyes glaring down at Daani angerly.
((How about Daani makes Lue angry ^^ and then he changes to Ieno because I really want him to change =D))

"Make me," Daani hissed, eight years of fury slipping through her teeth like venom. She took it back and hid it under her coat again. Quickly, she ran down an alleyway, away and trying to find a way onto the roof. There were magick folk up there. They could do with a little pain.
Trei looked at Rasi strangely. "I'm fine," she said as if that were extremely obvious. "She's hit me with worse."
Vi had come just in time to see Trei's skin latch back together over the wound. Trei looked at her sister. Vi shook her head. "Sorry. I've never been able to get used to that."
