Dhiablos put his hand on hers, and ran the other one through his hair, thinking.
"Well... they'll know you're back... they know I'm back..." he said quietly, thinking aloud.
"I expect... they'll want to know why I didn't kill you... they'll be mad at me. That's okay, I can deal with that... I guess...."
He looked into her eyes. "I don't think they'll go after your family before coming after you, which won't happen because I won't let them... so..." he sighed. "Basically, if you stick with me, you should be fine, but I can't be sure."
He bit his lip. "I'm sorry, this can't be all that reassuring to hear, but I've never been good at this comforting thing."

Cera smiled slightly, "Well I wasn't planning on leaving you anytime soon..." She said and she really couldn't because they were in this dream world. She let out a big sigh, "Well now that that awkward talk is over... What do you want to do?" She asked but then had an idea, "Wait, maybe we can see what is happening on Neopia..." She said and with a thought the television turned on and a mynci started reporting the news.

"Yeah, Good idea."
The news report started off by saying how there were natural disasters all of Neopia, cutting to helicopter views of different areas... maraqua was being troubled by a giant whirlpool, tsunamis had damaged the coast of mystery island... then it showed Neopia Central, where buildings were falling apart, craters were everywhere..
"..the amount of casualties is unknown..."
"I hope everyone's okay," said Dhia.

Cera became extremely worried when she saw the overview of Neopia Central and started to play with her hair, twirling it around her finger in a nervous way. "Wait, there is the Pizzaroo." She said pointing to the screen and easing up a bit. Police and ambulances surrounded the area and only the pediatricians and officers could be seen, there were very few civilians which worried Cera again. It turned back to the mynci reporting and then the weather which was just as messed up. Green, red, yellow, and orange spots were everywhere to the point that you could bearly make out the boarder lines between the cities. Even Faerie world was having bad weather and that was unheard of...

Cera shook her head, "I-I don't know..." She said, she had never seen anything like this... She was speechless... Dhia was right, it looked like the end of the world. She reached for the remote and turned it off, not wanting to view it any longer, "Uh... Lets go do something... Something that will get our minds off of that." She said, looking at Dhia.

Checkr wandered around the streets, finally deciding that Daani was not anywhere she could easily find.. So she started calling for her, "Daani? Daani! Where are y-" This gave her such sudden de ja vu, she froze and almost fell over with alarm, feeling sick suddenly. The kyrii grabbed either side of her head, teeth gritted, then opened her eyes, regaining composure, suddenly feeling a bit angry. She would find her this time.. Checkr dashed into a nearby alleyway, suddenly wishing she had a flashlight.

Umber was made a silhouette atop a roof by the faint starlight. Below her she could see Neopia Central, looking very dark and empty. With a very wide smile, she raised her hands, allowing the angry feeling it took to use her fire flood through her. The ground rumbled, as if protesting, then began to jitter and shake. Little pieces of rubble and garbage began doing a sort of dance on the rooftop. There was a large crash as something close collapsed, looking to be a lamp-post...

Omega jumped, hearing the crash nearby. He dropped the blanket, grabbing the sword Drift had brought in. He squinted outside, and Phyn muttered in her sleep, half waking up.
Gorrio slipped off his perch amongst the tables and slithered to the floor.
"What was that?" he asked, looking outside along with his invisible conrad.
"I don't know...let's go..." he said, glancing at the shoyru on duty with them. The pair slipped out the door, and Gorrio opened his wings wide to shed more light on the ground. omega walked over to the lamp post, looking it over and glancing around cautiously.
"Gorrio....fly around, see if there's any one around. It could have just been like the meteors, but you never know. and we should probably make sure everyone is inside, incase it happens again." Omega said, heading back to the pizzaroo to give the news.
The hissi nodded taking off into the skies in a shower of sparks. It was difficult for him to see very far, but his own glow was better than having to keep hold of a flashlight.

The ground started shaking violently. Cups, dishes, and other items fell off the shelves and shattered on the floor behind the bar. The lights that hung over head started swinging around and several fell of of their chains. A few people screamed as the earthquake erupted around them. Something crashed across the street and particles from the ceiling littered the air.
Rasi threw himself on top of Vi as soon as the earthquake hit. Trying to protect her from anything that might fall from overhead.
Lue covered his own head with his arms as best as he could, and Azura screamed as she buried her face into Lue's shoulder and did the same. They huddled there for a few moments until the earthquake lessened and died.
"What was that...?" Lue asked, putting his arms down and trying to see in though the dust that fogged up the air.

"I don't know." said a shape off in the dust, revealed to be Drift as the gelert stepped closer, eyeing the walls and ceiling suspiciously, as if they might cave in any moment. He bit his lip, remembering the meteors. "Is everyone okay?"
"Fine.." sniffed Vixcy from farther across the store, sounding terrified, "Saluki got a cut though, a piece of glass got her... Not too bad though. Vann's here too, and Skyp's somewhere over there..."
"What?" Skypii shrilled from somewhere over their heads.
A light suddenly flared up in the darkness; Nerrone had found a flashlight, and was casting its glow over the restraunt, looking worried. Her fur was coated in the dust from the ceiling, but otherwise she was unharmed. After inspecting the place further, she said quietly, "Checkr never came back, did she?"

Umber stood, frozen in the same stance, arms spread wide, a fanatical smile on her face. After a moment, she slowly lowered her arms, and looked at her hands. They were shaking slightly, with the excitement of it all. The ring was golden and bulky on her finger, and gave quite a contrast to the soot-blackened fur there. She liked it, and stretched out her arm, fingers splayed, to admire it and the way it looked against her hand, against the faint starlight, much as a newly engaged woman might admire her new ring.
She started to laugh, but the note died out as rapidly as it had began, replacing itself with a hiss - the lupe heard voices. Darting to the edge of the building, hair whipping behind her, she perched on the ledge gargoyle-like, staring down, and seeing the grarrl and hissi. She watched them curiously, it was not hard, the hissi after all glowing, trying to make out what they were saying, but only catching mumbles and a word or two here and there.
Soon it became obvious that the hissi was going to look for her, and her eyes widened as she quickly ran into the shadows. A sudden thought occurred, and with a smile, not really sure what she was doing, she balled one hand into a fist, raising it up. There was a loud crunch on the ground below as a section of pavement seperated itself from the road and began to float upwards...

Omega managed to slip back into the building when the earth shook again, and he was standing in the doorway as plates fell about and chaos took hold again. Phyn had fallen off the booth's seat and woken with a start; she was now sitting under the table looking around slightly dizzy and drowsy but non the less awake. As the shaking died down she climbed out from under the table, brushing some of the dust of her and grabbing up the orange stone the fire xweetok had supplied, holding it high to cast some light. Omega came in coughing a little, and if it had been lighter he would have been completely visible.
"I guess everyone knows about the earthquakes now. Gorrio's out looking to see if anyone's around who might be causing it, but I'm not sure that's the case. I told him if he found anyone else to bring them back here." Omega said, putting the sword back on his seat.
Phyn had heard the silver lupess comment about Checkr. She was quickly waking, and getting slightly grumpier than usual, but her mind went back to Daani as well and she glanced around quickly. Unable to find the aisha, she rounded on Lue. She quickly strode over to the booth he was sharing with the kougress and asked.
"Hey, Lue, did you leave Daani out side? She hasn't come back yet."
Gorrio heard the crunch and quickly twisted around, looking for it. His crest was high in the air as he frantically looked around for the source. After a few second sometime came into his range of light, and was hovering questioningly as he watched the raising hunk of asphalt. He lookied around on the roofs or ground to see if there was anyone there, but he couldn't make out nayhitng more than shapes.
