Checkr narrowed her eyes slightly, not understanding exactly what was going on, but seeing that something was. "Oookay." she said simply, raising an eyebrow, and shrugging. "I'll go look for her." She turned around, not one to nag people, and besides, Lue was going with Azura.
As she passed the doorway Nerrone spoke from her table near the window, a smile in her voice. "It looks like you've made some friends..." Checkr simply shook her head. "No.. We just haven't seen each other in long time." Without another word the kyrii walked out the door, sensing that Nerrone wanted to ask more questions. Once outside, she immedietly set out, not quite sure where she might find Daani, but she had a feeling the aisha was not in any of the "usual" places.

Vann had fallen asleep in his chair, leaning backwards and snoring slightly. Vixcy, half a room away, was messing with her cellphone boredly, the blue light casting strange shadows on her face. Drift continued to study the map that he had been brought, but soon it became apparant that there was nothing else he could do until daylight, so he lay down, crossing his arms behind his head, wondering how the rest of his family was faring. Soon he had fallen asleep.

Dhia blushed again. "Sorry," he said, and sat down next to Cera on the couch. It was pretty comfy. "I can't help it I guess; I haven't seen you for ages, so I'm pretty nervous. I dunno." he shrugged. "I missed you though, really I did."
He really didn't know what to say after that. Dhia knew what he wanted to say, but he wasn't sure whether it'd be a good idea to steer the conversation in that direction.
He took the plunge.
"Were you and Ves okay after we got back?" he asked tentatively.

Cera watched as he took a seat besides her, this was going to be very awkward... She smiled when he heard that she missed him but then grew shy again when he asked about what happened to her and Ves. "Uh, yeah... The police took care of us and I made it on the news a couple of times. They found a few more survivors on other islands around the crash..." She explained, avoiding his eyes. She didn't know why she was acting like this. She was being so shy yet she knew Dhia so well. "What happened to you? After you, uh, ran off?" She asked. Cera had always wondered about him, he didn't even say goodbye or anything... He just ran off that day.

Vi walked with Rasi inside, carefully leaning her head on his shoulder. She yawned and felt her exhaustion smash down on her like a rock slide. She could hardly walk or keep her eyes open, but she did somehow.

Daani was lying curled up in a ball in a dark alleyway behind a knocked-over trash can. The stench of the rotting garbage strewn across the road sickened her almost to vomiting, but she was so tired... She closed her eyes and was swept away into her nightmares almost immediately. She dreamt of dark shadows all around her, teasing her, taunting her, mocking her; questioning her sanity, how much of a grip she had left of it.

Roni sat and watched everybody, her attention unwavering, alert. She wasn't tired, but wondered casually if Gorrio was.

"Well, I just went back to my apartment and hid for a while, I didn't really want any trouble from the police." He shrugged. "I'm sorry I left you, I should've stayed or something."
Then he relaxed a little and glanced back at Cera. "I remember seeing you on the news though, after I saw that I knew you'd be okay."

Cera smiled, "Yeah I was actually surprised I was on the new so much." She said wondering why he said he went to his apartment instead of the house he had showed her when they had first met... More lies... she thought sadly... ow was she ever going to trust him? Everything that she knew about him now was practically a lie... "Yeah... Uh, Dhia?" She said, afraid of what his answer might be to her next question, "Why were you sent or whatever to kill me?" She asked quietly.

Dhiablos blinked. He hadn't really expected her to ask, but as he thought about it, who wouldn't ask?
"Okay, so it's like this,"
He took a deep breath.
"First of all, I want you to know that I didn't personally target you. At all. I didn't even know you." He paused, trying not to think how lame this might sound. He decided to start at the beginning.
"Okay. Just so you know - I am a theif. I'm a part of a mob of theives that live in or around Neopia Central. I wasn't always a theif, but over the years they've become the closest thing to a family that I've ever had.
Each part of Neopia has a small theif community - I'm part of the Serpents, that's why I've got that stupid tattoo - anyway, usually we just steal small things, namely food, clothing - stuff we can live on or re-sell easily."
He glanced at her, aware of how much this was making him sound like a creep.
"Sometimes... well, each group has a leader, and they direct the community in regards to where to steal from, where not to go and stuff," Dhia said, "And sometimes, unfortunately, they direct groups toward individual families or people who seem well-off."
He sighed.
"The truth is Cera... I was assigned to you specifically... to murder you, and take your stuff."
He ran his fingers through his hair and rubbed his eyes.
"But.. I couldn't. This was before I even knew you, before we were even friends. Once I got to know you... I knew that I couldn't. I fell in love with you Cera, and though I did lie to you about a lot of stuff," he said,
"everything I said about how I feel about you... that was genuine."

Cera smiled, she really did feel like he cared for her but now she was speechless.... She knew he loved her and all but now she also knew there were people after her. There was a long pause before she spoke up again, "So what happens if you don't kill me or whatever? Will they send more people after me or you?" She asked, now extremely nervous... She didn't want anyone coming after her, Dhia, Ara, or any of her family...

Rasi looked over at her with a smile, "Yeah I guess..." He said and brought his arm back to his side and taking her hand in his. "Come on, we have blankets and stuff over here." He said and led her back to where he was sitting earlier. Lue and Azura weren't there for some reason. He grabbed a couple of pillows and blankets and handed them to Vi. Then he sat down against the wall, "Actually I'm not that tired... I'll probably just sit here though, you can go ahead and sleep." He said with a smile.

"All right," she said, and fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow. She didn't even have the blankets on right, but she was out cold.

Rasi was amazed at how tired she was. He scooped up on of the blankets and spread it across her then leaned back against the wall again. Everyone seemed to be settling down, but what worried him was that Azura and Lue weren't here...
