Lue had to think about that for a moment but then it hit him, "NO!" He said almost yelling it, "No, don't... Don't kill yourself over me.... It's my fault, I just..." He looked at her and then wrapped his arms around her in a hug, "Don't kill yourself, please Daani..." He was practically begging her. That would tear him apart, knowing that she killed herself because he didn't love her. He could pretend to love her so that she would stay alive but if she found out she was pretending or if he really did fall in love with someone else... "Daani, there are so many other people on this world... I'm sure you can find someone that will love you as much as you love me..." He felt weird saying that. He wasn't the one usually giving advice, especially about love....

To her shame, she was shocked when he yelled no. Her eyes widened and her pulse quickened when he hugged her. She smiled sadly again. "Lue, it's not because you don't love me back. I accepted that a long time ago. It's because my life has been miserable and unbearable for all these years. I only lived through all that so I could tell you how I felt, and now that I have, there is no reason for me to go on, or try to fool myself into thinking everything will be okay. My message was delivered, and now my quest is done. I don't have to wander aimlessly anymore." She looked at him. "And I know there are many other men out there in the world. But they don't need someone like me. They don't need to take on that horrible burden of being stuck with me. It's not you or them. It's me."

Lue shook his head and looked away, "Well, uh, people can change, yeah... You don't have to keep being miserable...." He looked back at her with a hopeful expression. "Please, I don't want you do die..." He though for a moment and returned her sad smile, "Well..." He took a deep breath, "What if I did love you...." His reply was very quiet. He was afraid she wouldn't hear it and he would have to say it again. No, he didn't love her, not the way she wanted him to, but if saying that would make her look at her situation differently then maybe he could work something out...

She shook her head. "Don't ever pretend to love when you don't," she told him quietly. "The key words here are 'what if' you loved me. Well, you don't love me, so there is no 'what if'. Besides, you'll forget all about me in time. Like you did before. And I've lived in hell so long I can't get out."

Lue scowled, "I didn't say that I did or that I would pretend... I just asked you what if I did. What would you do?" He asked, frustration in his voice. He was never very good at any of this and now he was getting slightly annoyed. Why can't she just move on, with out killing herself? Why does she love me out of all people? And why can't she change, I change lots of times and each time it's a visit to hell, what is so different about her problem? He though, just confusing himself more with each question he asked himself.

She didn't seem to notice the change in his tone. "You're at what ifs again. If you did love me, maybe something else would happen, but you don't, and that's the reality, and it seems like I've accepted it a lot better than you have." She stepped away from him. "If it makes you feel any better," she added, "I could wait a while. I could help out with this mess first. That way I'll be put to some use. But right now more than anything, I need sleep, and so do you. Goodnight, Luieno." And without another word, she walked off briskly, not letting the silent tears fall from her eyes until she was 'round the corner and out of Lue's sight.

Lue crossed his arms and and puffed out a cloud of smoke, a scowl still on his face. He didn't understand her, that was probably why he didn't love her. That and because he hadn't seen her in eight year. Actually there were a lot of factors that made him not love her. He watched as she disappeared and then started heading back too. He walked in the pizzaroo and took his seat next to Azura, letting out a sigh.
"What was that all about?" Azura asked, wondering why he had left abruptly with that Aisha.
Lue looked over at her, "Nothing..." He said and rested his head on his crossed arms, "It's just been a long day..."

Strips grumbled showing slight irritation. First people were yelling and then people were walking out, which cut down on the noise but still. He felt like he was crawling out of his skin; he hated being around this many people at once. He wanted to leave but Zcy seemed unresponsive, but maybe she was just tired. He wasn’t sure if he should wait for her or not. All he knew was that he needed some fresh air and he needed it now. Actually he could have really used a cigarette, but he doubted he’d be able to locate one. Without giving it another thought, he stood up fully and slipped out of the Pizza Roo and into the street, glad to be out of the crowd.

Checkr frowned as she saw Lue walk in with a strange expression on his face, and made a mental note to ask him about it later. As it was, Skypii was busily floating towards the store, dragging her by the arm, and, chattering about marshmallows. Throwing a glance at the kougra that walked out aswell, she asked in a low voice, "You headed for the store too?"

Saluki meanwhiles had curled up in small heap in a booth and fallen asleep, despite the loud racket of music that was blasting in her ear at the moment. Vann and Vixcy were immersed in a game of cards, and Drift was looking over the map. Nerrone had left from this activity and was sitting in a table in front of the window, resting her head on laced fingers and looking out into the night.

Umber continued storming about, like a child with a temper tantrum, but then suddenly reached in her pockets, touching the rings and abruptly remembering. With a strange look, she slowly pulled one out, holding it in front of her face, and turning it in the faint light, before sliding it on her finger. Nothing happened at first, but then she attempted to use her fire. The lupe stood there for a moment, but then the ground began to shiver, and a few cracks snaked up the walls. Pebbles began to jitter and bounce on the floor.
The lupess hastily stopped this, looking at the ring with a new light as a malicious smile spread across her features.

Oh, and I've a question. Are we allowed to bring in new characters, or not? Cause on the guild it says no new characters, but on the home page here it says no new joiners.))
Omega sighed as he heaved the last table into place. Gorrio had snagged a blanket as was now curled up on the pile of furniture, intending to keep his promise of guarding. He did his best to arrange the blankets so he was so bright, and settled to the rest of the short night.
Phyn had returned to the booth and was emptying most of her bag onto the table. She glanced at Lue as he walked in, catching his expression and silently wondering what had gone on between him and aisha. Once the bag wa mostly empty she rearranged it as a pillow and stetched out on the booth, a blnket thrown over her. After a few minutes she was asleep.
Omega had taken his seat opposite her and was sitting with a blanket draped around him, looking out the window deep in thought.

Shallo groaned as the walls around him shook, but he was dead to the world, deep asleep already. He stretched out, mumbling, before turning over to ignore the shaking of the cavern.

Azura patted Lue on the back, "Yeah, lets just hope this ends soon... Where is Rasi, Cera, and Dre?" She asked for she had been asleep when they went away. She watched as others got ready to get to sleep. She wasn't tired any more so she would probably stay awake and keep guard or something. She was surprised that she was woken up earlier or something to go on a search for the humans....
Lue kept his gaze on the floor, still thinking about that whole experience he just had. "Huh? Oh Rasi is with some girl, Cera is in the floor, and Dre is off doing her own thing." He said not really think about what he just told her. He chuckled to himself when he thought of Rasi. He was probably going through the same thing Lue just went through but better. Rasi had experience with females... Rasi knew what to do, unlike him.
Azura gave a confused look at Lue but didn't say any more, they were probably fine. Lue wouldn't let them get into any trouble...

Vi sighed heavily, her shoulders shaking as she did so. "That's true," she murmured, if only to herself. She spoke aloud, but if he wasn't listening, it was fine. "I did steal more than just your stuff. I know exactly what I took. And I'll forever regret taking one thing especially: your trust in me." She wondered if she would cry again. Her head faced the ground. "And our 'situation'... you belong in cold, and I belong in warmth. There's no way that can comingle. We can't be a couple, but..." She hesitated, her voice shaking, her heart pounding in her throat, before speaking again. "We don't have to be enemies."
((at least she didn't say 'we could still be friends' XDD))

Zcy noticed Strips leaving, and followed him quickly. There was no way she would let him leave her alone. He made her feel safe. She didn't want to feel vulnerable.

Rasi had stopped once she heard her speak up again. He turned and faced her when she stopped and smiled, "I will never be an enemy to you as long as you don't treat me like one..." He said and started walking back to her, "Well you know...." He muttered and a small smile broke the serious tone. "We aren't quite in out 'environments' at the moment and this whole chaotic situation we got going on with the meteors and all..." He pretended to stretch and slowly put his arm around Vi in a causal way. He really did like her company, and not just her as a friend company... He used his other hand to point her chin up, "Come on, let’s go back inside..."

((YES RUN!! xD This will not end well  We could still be friends.. lol, I hate that line >>  ) By the time Checkr had returned with Skypii, the wocky toting several bags of marshmallows and muttering incoherently under his breath, quite a lot of people were sleeping or either preparing too. The wocky floated towards the celing, set his marshmallows on the blades of the ceiling fan, and then proceeded to eat them, as if this was a table. Checkr grinned, mentally doing a quick head count, then wandered over to Lue, "Hey, Lue.. Where's Daani? I thought she'd be in here since I haven't seen her..." ======== Umber hastily stopped this, realizing it might awaken Shallo, and hissed faintly at her stupidity. She needed some place to try it out... And she had a whole night and a practically empty Neopia Central... Whithin minutes the lupe had exited the complex, in the same way she got in, and was soon lost in the night. |
