((^^))
Phyn watched after Daani run off and turned back to Lue.
"Alright, what's going on? Since when did you have magic? What's up with the spikes? And why did Daani suddenly see sense and not kill you?" these questions came one after the other, and as the shock started wearing off her normal irritation returned.

Ieno snorted as the aisha ran in fear, a small flame emitted from his nose as he did. A voice sounded behind him and he turned around, his glowing green eyes falling on the Ruki he had passed earlier, "Things have changed...." He grumbled and with a beat of his wings he flew up and over the roof tops. The aisha wasn't hard to find, especially from the height he was at but he didn't feel like he should waste his time and energy on her. He spotted a rock or something a little higher than he was though that caught his interest. He flapped his wings harder and went after it, wondering how the chuck of land ended up in the sky.

Phyn watched after him, and soon had taken to the skies as well. The soft droning buzz of her wings seemed to echo in the empty city. She watched him soar away, but turned her attention abck to Daani. Once she had spotted the aisha she followed after her, landing quickly to overtake her.
"Daani, what's going on? Why are you trying to kill people? Why didn't you, well, kill Lue as well, if you're so determined to exterminate magic?"

(Please excuse my absence. I was incapable of accessing a computer.)
Roan had been comatose for some time now. Somehow, the second floor of the furniture building had caved in, and buried him and Niko under busted wood, carpet, and furniture. His eyes opened when he felt a tremor in the ground. The earthquake passed and he pushed aside a broken piece of a bed, wondering how he’d survived when he took in the damage. The roof loomed overhead, untouched. How strange, he thought. Perhaps Niko had died. He cared not in the slightest.
It was only when his foot passed through a bit of rubble and he stumbled did he realize it. The charm around his neck was missing a piece, almost a third of the charm. It was the only thing keeping him alive for now. “Damn,” he grumbled, but he wasn’t going back to look for the charm. This could come in handy.
Finally he made it to the door. One touch sent the glass shattering. He held up an arm to defend himself, but the glass fell in the opposite direction. Another oddity. No matter. This was indeed one of the strangest nights he’d ever known. If the clock on the wall was accurate, then it was nearly four thirty in the morning. He walked out of the furniture store and took in the vision of chaos. Not to mention the large freaky monster he saw flying through the sky.
“Arathyne,” he muttered. “Where are you?” Was she safe? Or dead?

This new earthquake sent Drift sprawling onto the ground, unable to rise until it was over. Thankfully the cafe that they were all stationed in was holding solid.. but for how long? After making sure everyone appeared okay, he grabbed one of the swords and ran out of the building, looking for the source.
===
Umber stood in silence, glancing once at her immobilized feet, then glaring up at the shoyru, the flames in her eyes rising, so that you could not see the pupil.. or any white.. at all, the fire obscuring it. As this happened, her hair began to stir and wave, as if by strange ocean currents, although the air was still, and there was no wind.
"What..." she began with a hoarse growl, which quickly rose into a scream, "Does it LOOK LIKE I'M DOING?!" She raised her arms high above her head, and the wall behind her and the floor beneath her simply collapsed, the lupe dissapearing into the blackness. A second later, it was revealed that collapsing was not nearly all that was happening - the bricks and concrete suddenly began to fly towards Roni at an alarming speed.
=====
Checkr lay quite still for a moment, the wind entirely knocked out of her, before sitting up and seeing Gorrio. "You okay?" she asked in a strained voice, grabbing her head with one hand, then suddenly jumped to her feet as an enourmous crash was heard.

"Yeah, sorry. I didn't mean to crash into you, or anything. Being chased by a giant rock," Gorrio panted as he struggled upright. He jumped as a nearby building collapsed, and he quickly started heading out of the allyway. "You should probably head somewhere safer. Omega wanted everyone inside, but that might not be the best idea right now." His glowing illuminated the narrow space, and clouds of dust however created a feild around him.
((I can't get over that Shallo's sleeping through all this XD))

Roni reacted quickly, her abnormally brilliant mind snapping to a decision in not even half a second. Her eyes glowed white and her hands moved in a diagonally upward motion. The bricks aimed for her jerked away and up, and she sent them down toward Umber. Her wings flapped and she rose into the air. Her red hair billowed out around her as if there were a breeze, and then the ground began to shake again.
Two stone pillars burst from the earth, spraying concrete and dirt everywhere, and rose up level with her. They broke off from the ground, leaving two equally deep and enormous ruts in the road. She raised her arms and the pillars flew together, and then formed quickly into a sort of hammer. The handle flew into her hand and, though it was all packed dirt and concrete and would no doubt be too heavy for any normal person to handle, she held it like it weighed absolutely nothing. Raising the giant stone hammer above her head, she slammed it down on Umber with murderous intent, something that Trei noticed, and something that frightened her.
Daani was hiding in a crevice in the wall of a building. When Phyn found her and inquired as to why she didn't kill Lue, she growled. "Unlike you," she spat, "my heart is not made of stone. I couldn't possibly kill Lue, or you or Checkr for that matter, even if you were all sorcerers of sorts." Her eyes suddenly wavered, she looked down, and she had to fight for all that she was worth to not let her voice tremble as she spoke. "You were the last people to ever be kind to me. That's not something easily erased, even by eight years and all... this." She waved her arm around to indicate the whole devastating deal going on. "After this is over, if I'm still alive, well... that's easily remedied." She looked back up to glare at Phyn. "I'm a big waste of air, Phyn. I have been for eight years. Only hours ago did I tell someone very important to me the way I've felt all this time, and that was truly my only motivation to keep on living. Now that that's done and he knows, I can perish without grieving his ignorance. But now it looks like one of us will have to kill the other. I can't kill him. But I'll gladly die by his hand if he wishes -- but only after I've helped out here."
Vi and Trei were watching from afar, contemplating what they could do to help. Suddenly they wished with a fierce intensity they'd never known before that Arathyne were here. Which both irritated and frightened Vi, of whom Arathyne's hatred had been made perfectly clear for years, and vice versa.
"This is madness," Trei grumbled. "Arathyne's the strongest out of all of us. If only she knew how to channel her power properly..."
"She can't."
"Hm?"
Vi looked at the chaos with a sort of distance, like she wasn't really looking at it. "I figured it out. Arathyne doesn't have magick."
"What are you talking about, Vi? The killings earlier--"
"--were not done by her," Vi finished. "Something happened during her childhood, before Lucy took her in, something she's blocked out in the strangest of ways. She has no access to her power. But, there are others... others, inside her, that can."
"Vinetaa, what the hell are you talking about?!"
Vi looked over at her without turning her head. "It's complicated," she said. "I, being the stupidest one of the family, shouldn't have figured it out before even Lucy. However, I did. And if you can't, then I should bother not with telling you."

"Better a heart of stone than one like butter like yours, sometimes. "Phyn retorted airily. The sounds of the shattering and grinding of stone caught her attention, but she did her best to ignore it. She had Daani to worry about now." And no one is a waste of space. Or air, whatever you said. I find it hard to believe that the tough aisha from 8 years ago who managed to cheat death once is just going to come quietly this time. There's more to life than death." Phyn grabbed the strap of her bag, noting Daani's expression. She knew she wasn't doing s good job of consoling her, just as she hadn't done a fair job before.
"Look, Daani, I know I've probably been the worst to you, no matter what you say about kindness. When we went on that escapde of ours, I didn't like it, at all. But I thought you were brave, kind, caring, strong- I was glad to have you around. We probably wouldn't be having this conversation if it wasn't for you.
We all've changed since then, that miuch is obvious. But I won't have you going and killing yourself when this is over, and I won't just stand and watch if anyone tries to kill you. Daani, no matter what I've said, or how I've acted, I want to be your friend, and I'm sorry being not doing a great job so far."
A small smile crossed her face as she finshed this, but she didn't feel any better for it. Her voice had been a little shaky near the end, but she figured she shouldn't bother with it. If Daani believed her or not, that was her opinion. Phyn had other matters to attend to. she reached out and grabbed Daani shoulder.
"I'm going to go figure out what Lue's deal is. I would appreciate it if you would not kill anyone, but I'm not going to tell you what to do, because I shouldn't. You do what you like." She turned away then, hopping into the air and taking off after Lue. However before she cleared the roofs she was bombarded with bricks. She did her best to dodge them, but one or two manage to hit her pretty hard, but her thick shell held through. Once the minor disctraction had passed she looked around for any sight of Lue. Not catching sight of him, she took off in the direction he had taken before.
((Wow, that was long. I give up on trying to manage my pets, Phyn just turned nice on me again. My thought out, snappy, tactless ruki is gone now, just like my gladiator Omega and my old regal temple hissi --'. Obviously I have character development issues.))

The beat of Ieno's wings slowed as his ears listened to the ground shake yet again. He looked down at the crumbled land below him and stared at the giant hammer that had formed from rocks and concrete. A smile formed on his face as he spiraled down in the direction of the chaos, wondering who or what was the cause of it. He landed on what was left of one of the buildings and watched as two girls fought as each other, both having earthen powers. "Where's the popcorn? This is going to be a nice show..." He said to himself with a chuckle.

((No, your characters changing IS character development :3))
"No problem.." she said, half-smiling, "Ha.." she added with little interest. "If they think they can keep me inside when all the action is out here... Where are you going?" Suddenly another crash echoed ((Roni's attack)), and she sprinted off towards it without a second thought, suddenly being stopped by a pair of arms that seemed to appear out of nowhere. She started to scream, then cut herself off, divising all her energy to kick her attacker in the shin. The attacker immedietly let her go with a hiss of pain, backing away several steps.
"Checkr, what the hell?!"
She recognized the voice with a simultaneous sinking and humorous feeling, "Shouldn't have grabbed me, Drift. Everyone's keyed up at it is..."
"I had to stop you somehow. The source of the quakes is over there." he responded, not sounding amused, "It's too dangerous-"
Checkr's eyes narrowed, and she silently started to walk past him, looking almost as if she'd try to shove him aside, but the gelert sidestepped, before following her. "I knew that wouldn't work." he muttered to himself.
----------
There was a period of silence after the hammer went crashing down - nothing moved in the black hole of the building, save the dust drifting about. Suddenly a low rumbling, growing louder as another pillar rose from the wreckage, Umber standing atop it. She looked relatively undamaged, though her clothes were ripped and a thin layer of dust was in her hair, which was still fluttering slightly.
She was entirely silent as the pillar rose, eyes wide and flaming, expression almost peaceful. The lupe chuckled a few times. "Two can play that game." she said quietly, staring at the shoyru, her face suddenly gaining a fanatical expression. A rumbling began in the earth again, louder this time; Two enourmous chunks of rock flew up, becoming even to Umber. Chunks of the rock were shaved off, as from some giant tool, and soon, they were in recognizable shapes: Hands.
Umber closed her right fist - the giant stone hand did the same. She wiggled the fingers on her left hand - the other stone hand also did the same thing. Wearing a wide, toothy grin, the left hand's fingers clenched ((Kinda like a fist but without using the knuckles)) and flew through the air, fast, reaching for the shoyru.

Roni didn't even flinch at the new hands. But she did growl- the Lupe was a lot stronger than she'd thought before. The murderous look left her eyes. She did not want to kill the girl; only weaken her to the point of passing out. But how? She had had slept for a hundred years while unaging, yet gaining more power over the time period. Her nerves still buzzed with the immense energy only acquired through many years of not using it and being magickally preserved whenever she used her powers. That certainly sounded like an advantage. But her opponent was wild with new magick, magick that was not hers to keep or control. Trei, use your magick seperator! She mentally screamed her thought as loud as she could, hoping her sister would hear it even if she wasn't listening. It worked. What? Trei shot back, using her power to implant the message in Roni's mind. Why?!This Lupe... the power isn't hers. If you use your seperator, maybe you could get it out of her!Trei nodded, though Roni couldn't see it. Sure, I'll try. Out loud she murmured to Vi, "I need your help. I've got to seperate that girl's power. It's not hers." Vi understood at once and took Trei's hand. Spotting Rasi nearby, she grabbed his as well. "You have magick," she explained before he could ask, "and we need some." The extra power surged through Trei from both Vi and Rasi, and within moments Trei was in Umber's mind. She took the power and shifted it into a netted square, through which all but the stolen earth power went through. She searched Umber's core until she found it; matted, she noticed, into a squirming ball. While Trei was working, Roni waited until the stone hands were close enough, then swung the hammer around with all her strength and smashed them both into a billion pieces that fell off the roof to the left. Trei took that moment to strike the power with her sifter and snatch it up. She pulled it out slowly, carefully, until she was back in her body and holding a glowing green and brown ball in one hand. Vi let go of Trei's hand but forgot she was holding Rasi's, and kept doing so as a result. "Did you get it?" Vi asked quietly. Trei nodded. "Yeah," she answered with a smile. "And it's going home now. See?" The ball shrank until it vanished with a small popping sound. Roni knew precisely when the power was taken, and used it to bash Umber with the hammer, flinging the Lupe off the roof and onto the wall of a building to the right. ((XD Sorry about that, Umber ^^ )

((You have no idea how much I want to wake up Shallo right now. Too bad he probably con't feel the power being taken out of his ring --'))
Phyn quickly sheilded her face from the shrapnel of rock came flying at her a few buildings away. She looked over there, catching sight of the red shoyru with the giant earth hammer. She hovered for a moment, but then she caught sight of two things. One was a green glow rising into the sky, and the other was the dark lupe such light caught. There's Lue, she thought, heading over. Gorrio had better stay lower than that.
However, ths hissi was doing just the opposite. He had taken into the air, just barely escaping the flying rock. He rose higher, trying to get out of the allyway and back to Omega. However, he was easily distracted by the lupess flying past him and the girl he had fought with earilier holding a giant mallet of stone. A confused look crossed his face from under his helmet as he looked on, he caught sight of the black lupe nearby, who seemed familiar from the Pizzaroo, and quickly darted over, hovering next to him. "What happened up here? Any idea what's going on?"
Omega grabbed the door as crashes continued to ring through the walls. He turned, looking on the rest of those remaining in the room, which was about half or less at this point. "Hopefully this is almost over, at least the earthquakes have stopped. Hopefully someone will be back with more information. Till then, this building's pretty sturdy, it seems, so I say we stay put.

Rasi didn't really mind when the girls took his hands, he didn't really understand why they were doing it though until he felt the power draining back to normal level. He smiled slightly and looked over at Vi who didn't seem to see anything unusual about this. Trei seemed to be busy doing something, he couldn't really tell though. He jumped when she snapped back, all of the sudden, and had a weird green ball. He letting go of Trei's hand but keeping his other one linked to Vi's purposely, "Uh, what is that?" He asked as it disappeared but then turned back up to the fight scene before he got his answer to see the lupe get hit by the giant hammer Roni had formed.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
Ieno turned his head away from a bright light that appeared next to him, "What the hell..." He muttered and then looked over at a hissy as his eyes adjusted to the new bright light the hissy gave off, "Look for yourself, those two girls are beating the crap out of each other, that's what going on." he said bearing a big toothy smile and turning back to the fight, "Oh, see that?" He asked as the other lupe was battered off the building. He stood up to see if he could see where she landed, "Why don't you go over there Glowstick, I'm sure they could use a spotlight to find that lupe." He mocked and sat back down, dangling his legs over the side of the building.

((I feel kinda pathetic too.. Umber's the only one really doing anything.. xD Aw.. Poor Umber.. *pets* XDD))
The lupe let out a strangled cry as she was thrown off of her platform, and hit the wall with a thump. However, there was no following noise one would expect of the lupe then hitting the ground, only silence and the faint noise of settling rubble.
---------------
"What was that?!" Checkr suddenly yelled, seeing the hammer fall. ((XD THAT'S A QUEEN SONG)) Drift's head jerked up, and his face suddenly turned grim, but without a moment's break, the kyrii broke into a run again, seeing two figures; Rasi, and the shoyru from earlier. "Hey! Rasi!" she called, skidding to a stop, breathing hard, "What.. Who, was that!" She examined the wreckage with widened eyes. Drift caught up a moment later, staring at the pair, then looked up, "That hissi is on the roof with someone..."
----------- Umber, infact, had not fallen. She held unsteadily to the ledge, legs dangling to however far below. She was well aware that the power was gone; she had tried to use it to retaliate, found abscence, and was experiencing a curious drained sensation. Gritting her teeth against her worn out and protesting limbs, she hauled herself up onto the roof, landing with a dull thump, fighting off unconciousness, before struggling into a sitting position, and viewing the ring on her hand.
The lupe wanted to burn that traitorous gold piece, but she had no fire. With another grimace she made to toss it over the ledge, but decided against it at the last moment, and pocketed it. Doing so, her fingers brushed against something in her pocket....
Other rings...
*DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN* XD
