Phyn noted when Daani stopped and landed quickly, slipping into a deep doorway nearby. In an attempt to respect Daani's attempt at secrecy she pulled her antennae back, and awkward position but it at least kept them out of sight.
And they say she's not evil? Isn't her mind already corrupt if she's tryignto kill innocent people? the mutant thought as she listened in, keeping an eye on both then and Daani. She had no diea what the aisha was going to do, but she owed her old accomplice some trust. Not that I gave her any before...

Dre stared at door Shallo disappeared behind and turned to Ieno with an angry stare, "I don't know how you got here but I'm bringing you back." Dre said behind gritted teeth, she took a step forward, reaching for him hand so that she could teleport him back.
Ieno took a step back as she took one forward, his green eyes fixed on her, "Take one more step towards me and you'll experience death again, ghost." He snorted, his eyebrows pulled together and his teeth bared, a low growl erupted from his chest.
Dre stopped and raised an eyebrow, not thinking he would actually do anything to her if she did continue on towards him, "That might be a bit hard hybrid." She said with a sly smile on her face. She took another step forward, her long tail swaying lightly behind her as the entertainment continued.
Ieno jumped up, his wings out spread, and blew a giant blast of fire at the lupess. He continued to hover in the air as the fire died down and left Dre standing quiet surprised in the middle of the smoke. A large grin spread across his face as he looked over Dre's expression and he chuckled a bit, "How'd you like them apples?"
Dre couldn't believe he actually did that. She knew this wasn't like the regular Lue but still, she didn't think he was that heartless... She scowled and turned transparent, "Oh I like those apples a lot Ieno... Why don't you show me again?" She said her voice booming off the walls. She figured that if he shot out another flame he would be distracted enough for her to grab him and teleport him back to neopia.

Ears well attuned to the sounds of fighting, Umber slinked back into the room, keeping to the shadows by the doorway, painfully aware that due to lack of powers, she wouldn't be participating in this little duel, though quite frankly, burning (LOL PUN) with envy as she watched the male use his fire powers. Despite this, a conniving smile spread across her features as she watched them.
------
"I'm not sure." said Drift as Checkr walked past them to go talk to Vixcy and the others. "It looks like one of my sisters got her hands on some earth powers, but we're not sure how - that'd be the cause of the earthquakes. There was also a shoyru... Quite a few fights." he added, remembering them all. His head was beginning to hurt from all this.

Shafts of sunlight through the blinds jumped over the moving Ara who looked like she was having a seizure as she slept restlessly. Her muscles jerked every which way and she screamed when someone tapped her shoulder; she opened her eyes and lay still, breathing heavily, sweat soaking the sheets. The images of the bloody cup and the oven still showed in her vision until they faded away so quickly she could not grasp them, make sense of them or the nightmare to which they'd belonged.
When she could finally understand the reality around her, that she was in a room and people were huddled in the doorway, she sat up slowly and flung her legs out of the bed. She looked over to see the concerned faces of two sisters and the irritated face of the third staring back at her. Where was she, and how did she get here?
She found herself in time outside, the blinding light of the sun hurting her eyes. She realized that she had never expected to see the sun again. She was walked by her sisters to a car, and Trei and her sat in the back while Roni took the front at the wheel. Vi refused to get in and insisted she fly overhead instead, to keep track of things.
Ara was fearful. She didn't want to go back to sleep, afraid she'd have that nightmare again, but she was so tired. She noticed that Trei was doing a very good job at making sure she stayed awake. "I'm tired," she mumbled once, and Trei had replied that she could sleep soon, but not now.
Roni drove the car onto a ferry, and while the ferry was moving, she and Trei went to get Ara to eat something. Ara didn't eat much, but her sisters managed to get a bit of toast in her.
Vi was flying to their destination and therefore was not on the ferry. She did see it on her way, however. She didn't understand. Roni and Trei knew Ara's problem, but they didn't know why she had it. Vi knew everything. That one meeting with Emma changed it all. I know more about her than she does, Vi thought often when she looked at her sister. Many times she debated over whether or not to just come out and tell Ara everything, but always the haunting words of Emma would creep into her mind to stop her: "She is mentally unstable. Our very existance is proof of that. And we're the ones that keep her alive. We're the ones that hold all the things that caused her to be this way. We were created to block it all out, and she has gone so long without remembering that if she does, she will collapse. Her mind will destroy itself, her nerves will shut down, and one of us will take over. Odds are very great that that someone will be Rebekka."
I swear I will find a way, Vi vowed silently to herself. I will find a cure for you, Ara. If there was one out there for me, then I have no doubt that there is one for you. And I will find it, if I have to die a thousand deaths to do so. She surprised herself at this oath she had just taken, surprised that she meant every word of it. And so she sailed on through the skies toward Meridell while her dying sister remained down below on the sea.

((Did we timeskip, or are Daani and Phyn still sitting behind buildings spying?))

((We timeskipped to morning but Daani followed cos she didn't want to have to deal with Lue. Phyn can either have gone with or stayed behind. Nothing was happening so I just fastforwarded a bit.))

((Aw, ok ^^. Just wanted to make sure I was on top of things. I didn't make the connection between the sun and the timeskip XD))
Phyn groaned, tossing on the bench as the sun filtered into the building. After following Daanis he had come back here, and since things had apprently settled down shortly after she decided to catch up on some sleep.
She wasn't the only one, for Gorrio had curled up under a table and was sound asleep, his belts, cables, and other gear in a lopsided pile near him. The device he had been using to contact the space station had gotten smashed during the quakes, and the remains lay unnoticed under a pile of rubble.
Of the three of them only Omega remained awake, having been scrounging around the battle shop. He had found some more decent armor, and was strapping on the vanguards and the sword Drift had found for him the night before. A scarlet cape was drapped over his shoulders and the Altadorian style armor suited him better than what he had been wearing before.
The grarrl glanced over the room as he tightened the last buckle, trying to think out some plan for the ragtag group of survivors.
=========================================
Shallo had shortly fallen asleep after retreating from the others, and he moaned as he woke. He was making good progress on the device, but he had the other two, or three, to deal with along with it. And he had to check on the rings Umber had stolen. He sat up, stantchign them up from the ground where had uncerimoniously dropped them the night before. He didn't have to examine them long ro realize that the magic they onces held was gone.
The jetsam grimaced, stadning up and staightening his coat and grabbing his staff. He frowned as he pushed upen the door to a new day with his apparent comrades. He made a point of not looking around as he entered the main chamber, but opened the container he kept food to snatch out a peice of tecea fruit before he heard a sound he had been dreading yesterday.
"GGNNYYAA"
Shallo sighed, trudging over to the pool where a small blue petpet was sticking its head at him. Varnava, his messanger between the castle and his caves was waiting. The jetsam kneeled down beside the pool and the chomper opened his mouth, revealing a scroll in its hollow stomach.
After he had removed it the petpet dived, heading back ot its home in the castle. Shallo opened the scroll to find it unsuprisingly to be a summons from Jazan, asking him to come to the palace to discuss the obscure happenings in the desert.
((Gah, Shallo's doing a lot right now DX. And Omega's got his new armor, just so you know XD))

((WHOO TIMESKIP! Why was I not informed of this?!? Lol, just keeding. Lucy, so Roni, Trei, and Ara are on a boat? ANYWAYS....))
Vann stirred slightly as a beam of light filtered through the cafe's window, then merely rolled over, burying his face in the cusion of the booth he was sleeping in, pulling one of the survival blankets retrieved from the store over his face. Vixcy was sound asleep, in a sleeping bag under the table.
Nerrone was sitting at the table by the window again, having been awake for some time. She and was writing in a notebook she had found, and watching Omega out of the corner of her eye. "Good Morning." the lupe said cordially, then recognizing Omega as one of the leaders of the group, added, "I did a headcount. There's quite a few-" "SKYPII, NO!" FWOOSH. Scream. "-missing?" Nerrone added, whipping around to look out the window.
A vivid scene was to beholded: Apparantly Drift had directed them to find firewood, perhaps to cook breakfast, a noble endeavor, and a pile of planks and support beams was salvaged from the rubble. Unfortunately, with there being little kindling in neopia square, artificial means must be used- Kerosene.
And apparantly aswell, Skypii hadn't let the wood soak in the flammable substance and lit a match. In any case, the fire was burning cheerfully, but the wocky was now flying around at extreme speeds screaming, his head on fire.
Checkr and Saluki were sitting on a piece of rubble, Checkr's face buried in her hands, shaking with laughter, Saluki clapping and cheering brightly. Drift stood off to the side, trying not to smile, and failing, before it faded, "Skypii, you're a ghost! Just let it fade through you!" he said with some irritation.
================
The lupe was dozing against the wall, head bowed. She opened her eyes as she heard the petpet's noise, and after a perplexed expression, rose to her feet, stretching.
"What's that?" she asked Shallo, in her typical caustic tone, wandering over in hopes to get a look at it incase he chose not to tell her.

((not a BOAT, a FERRY! sheesh, woman lol)) Quite a bit of fast decision-making had been done but hours ago. When the trio of sisters fled, Daani was torn between following and staying. But one quick glance around her, at the dying city, all the damage that had been caused in one night made the decision for her. She needed to see how the rest of Neopia was faring -- was it worse off, or was only Neopia Central really getting hit? Daani was used to running on no sleep. She stole a car and easily followed Roni, Trei and Vi without their noticing, for she often got out of the car and got in another, making weird turns and such. She rode over the bridge from Neopia Central to Roo Island and watched from two blocks down as they entered a white house and pulled a faerie xweetok that looked good as dead out of it. She followed them to the FERRY and with careful spy manuevering, found out where they were headed so she could sneak over to the next FERRY over. She certainly wasn't going to risk being on the same FERRY as them.

((lol, ok I think we get that it's a ferry...))
Rasi sat in the corner of the shop, his back leaning against the wall and his cheek pressed against the cold window. His tired green eyes stared out into what was left of Neopian Central. He turned away as Azura stirred next to him. Lucky for her she had actually been able to get some sleep unlike him. He had been far too worried about Vi, who was out getting her sister, and his mind couldn't stop thinking about all the events that had happened that day. He shifted his body as Azura sat up and rubbed her eyes, letting out a big yawn to show that she was awake. "'Morning..." Rasi said with a small smile, chuckling to himself at the sight of Azura's hair. Azura groaned and straightened herself out, looking around at the other people there were either asleep, waking up, or already awake.
------
Cera sat with her arms crossed on the couch, her mind at work on how they were going to contact Ara so they could get out of here. She glanced up at Dhia who seemed to be frozen in time, space, and other dimensions and decided against rousing him awake. She let out a sigh and stared at the television, her mind still haunted by the images of the devastation.
---
Dre glared at Ieno, her colorless eyes seemed to become darker, almost black, as the anger continued to pulse ((lawl, pulse xD)) through her. Her trance was broken as the petpet's call was echoed throughout the halls and corridors of the cave. She watched as Shallo received the note, read it, and then put it aside when Umber asked about it. She met him at his desk and gestured to the note. "What was that?" She asked, eyeing it suspiciously.
Ieno sat, arms crossed, in the corner of the cave. The smug expression still covered his face as his eyes stayed fixed on the ghost across the way. His gaze flickered to the fire lupess as she got up to examine the message that the jetsam had just received and then he looked back over at Dre as she joined them.

Omega glanced over at the lupe as he made final adjustments to the armor and walked over to her. Before she had finished the screaming began, and he glanced out the window, but the sight of the laughing group made him question the danger. "Who's the wocky?" he asked curiously.
====================
Shallo glanced over at the lupess, dropping the paper on the worktable and taking a bite of the fruit in his hand. "Just part of my normal occupation." He glanced over the desk, picking up papers with scribbled notes on them and occasionally glancing back to the note from the palace. He was debating whether to risk a trip to collect magic for the rings ruined by Umbers wanderings the night before or to head to Qasala to deal with the king.

((well.. =P A ferry's a type of boat, righto? xD))
"My brother." Nerrone said, wearing a tired smile as she watched Drift attempt to chase down Skypii while the others still laughed. "He's a bit.. strange." Seeing that Rasi and Azura were stirring, she said "Good Morning." to them aswell, before looking back to Omega, expression subtly switching to concerned, "But there are some still missing.. That Daani Girl.. And the faerie xweetok, along with others..."
Umber strode over, skimming the letter before Shallo could take it away, then turned to him with a contempt smile, "You are going to go... right?" She entertained the fact of her also going to the Lost Desert, but then this plan abruptly fell through in her mind when she remembered her powers wouldn't be regained for some time.
((So how long should her powers be gone? Another day or two?))

((Yeah, I'd give them a two days, maybe a little less.))
Omega nodded, glancing around the room. "I wouldn't worry about that xweetok, that's where that big group left for, if Phyn told me correctly. She probably knows about that aisha as well, but I'll ask later. The girl can probably take care of herself." He returned to watching the ghost for a few moments before turning back to the lupess. "Anyhting else we might have a problem with?"
========================
Shallo stared into the wall as he contemplated an answer. After taking another bite of the fruit and mulling over all possible answers, he turned back. "I have to go, it's my job, and part of my oath as royal sorcerer. The problem, frankly, is that I trust you about as far as I can throw you. So the question is whether I trust you more here or infront of the king and queen of Qasala." He turned back, looking over some notes again and finishing the fruit. "Where are the other two?"

Dre raised an eyebrow, "Sorcerer?" She said her lips pursed together as she thought over that. "And why is there such a lack of trust? What wrong have I done? If I remember correctly I was the one that informed you of that bi- Umber..." She said sourly, her hands now resting on her hips. She let out a long frustrated sigh, her tail swishing impatiently behind her, "Whatever... I really don't care anymore. See this is why I don't work with mortals, they are just so-" She ground her teeth together, clenched her fists, and turned to walk away, "Just call me if you need anything." she hissed, walking over to Ieno who jumped to his feet with a low growl. "Shut up mutt!" She yelled, slapping a hand on his shoulder and disappearing out of sight.
Dre teleported back to the pile of rubble that made up Neopia Central and let go of the luchio, "There, cause havoc here..." She muttered and faded out. ---- Ieno's eyes narrowed at the ghost but left her alone. With a beat of his massive wings he shot up the air and settled down one of the more stable buildings. He folded his wings behind him as he landed and walked to the edge, looking out onto the devastation that Umber and the other earthly powered girl had left.

Shallo grumbled as she teleported out. At leats she had taken the black lupe with her. That just left Umber...
