Umber surveyed Shallo with contempt, but reluctantly placed the rings in his palm, and snatched up the cell phone, trying to use her powers, but this obviously failed, "A few days?" she complained, "I can't wait that long. Haven't you seen that shoyru with the earth powers?" Grimacing, she fondly imagined burning said shoyru into a heap of cinders, and felt a bit better.
"And it's not like you've been doing anything." she added, sulking by the wall, having no other choice of option being that she was virtually useless at the moment.

"I really don't think they're buried." said Drift to Gorrio, who had also been helping search the wreckage, shoving a large piece of pavement aside with a grunt. "It just doesn't seem like it'd be over that fast."
Checkr was standing on a large piece of rubble, looking around. She had tied her hair back, and her face was streaked with dust. "I could've sworn I saw something fly." she said resolutely, jumping down, "Besides, Umber's too mean to die. We better go tell the others."

Ieno raised an eyebrow and turned his attention to the Jetsam, "Interfere with what plans?" He asked, his eyes flickered to Dre again as he spoke. He glanced around the room again, hoping find some kind of clue that might tell him what's going on. He turned back to the group as he watched the lupess dropped the rings in his hand and pouted by the wall. He brought his hands to his own pockets and wrapped his fingers around his own ring, still wondering what it's use was. So far he had concluded that it causes some kind of power but he wasn't quiet sure how to activate it. He took his hand out and crossed them across his chest, looking back at Dre before turning to the Jetsam again.

Shallo frowned as she trudged away, not responding to her comment. Leaving her to her bitterness he turned back to the black lupe, eyes narrowed.
His mind was obviously not functioning clearly if he had wanted the lupe to just leave, and he didn't care to bother with an explanation of his goal. He gave a glare to the lupe and turned to Dre, "If you know him, you deal with him."
He trudged angrily off to his room, slamming the door shut behind and and throwing himself on his bed trying to imagine today without these girls barging in.

Gorrio nodded, "Alright, let's head back and tell everyone. I'm sure some people left, so hopefully we can find everyone again." He took off for the pizzaroo, glancing back to see that drift and Checkr were following.

Phyn heard the cacphony caused by the falling building and turned back quickly to see it fall. She watched the wreckage to try and see any sign of Lue or Gorrio. The hissi was easy enough to spot, but she couldn't see Lue anywhere. She turned back to her original path, scanning the ground for Danni. She landed once she had found her, brushing her hair from her eyes.
"How does that Ara person use her powers?"

Daani looked at Phyn in confusion. "Who?" she asked. She was in an alleyway trying to avoid the falling debris. She was such a coward. It was amazing how she could still fear for a life she'd lost long ago. Lue knew everything now, so there was nothing left to motivate her. So why didn't she just stand in the way of the hammer or something?

Vi flew up to Roni and asked furiously, "What is wrong with you? Where is your cool head?! You just destroyed the Neolodge!"
"Vi, have you been drinking tonight?"
"What?! What does that have ANYTHING to do with this?!"
Roni's scowl remained, but then it softened and she lowered the mallet. "You're right, I'm sorry. She just got to me."
"Well, put down that hammer before you really do kill somebody," Vi ordered. "My goodness, we don't need another- " She stopped.
"Another what?"
"Never mind."

"That Xweetok from eariler. The one who said she didn't have powers, btu then went around killing everyone. Do you know how she can use her powers? I talked to Lue, or, whom ever they are, because they said Lue doesn't know about having powers. Reminded me of that xweetok, that's all." She stated, looking over her shoulder for a moment toward the building, dust still settling around it.

Umber stared at Shallo with intense dislike, though didn't say anything, only turning around with a huff, and marching out of the room once the jetsam had left, intending to take out her frustration on some humans.

Once they reached the cafe, Drift noticed with a start that the door was barely hanging on it's hinges from the recent earthquakes.
"But if that's really Umber, why would she have earth powers?" Checkr was thinking out loud, though seemed to direct this to Gorrio, then blinked suddenly, "Well, you don't know her, but she has fire powers.. But earth.."
"The main question is what shes doing out there.. or trying to do." said Drift grimly as he opened the door, "It isn't just a coincidence..."

Silence. Then...
"HAS THE GROUND STOPPED BEING EPILEPTIC?!" Skypii shrilled, clutching desperately to the ceiling fan, which looked fit to be ripped out of the ceiling any second, despite the fact that the wocky could float.
Vixcy's head poked up from under the table she had been hiding. "Uhm.. Everyone okay?" she said meekly.

Vi made her way back down when she overheard someone talk about Ara.
Daani's eyes narrowed at Ara's mentioning. "I don't know how she uses them, nor do I want to. She pulled out my eye and fingers with them and I don't know how. All I know is that she's a dirty liar and uses nothing but dark magicks. She'd slaughter all of Neopia if she got the chance."
"That's a lie."
Daani turned her head to see a pirate Shoyru on the ground glaring at her.

"I probably know less than you, but I've seen enough to side with Daani on this," she snapped at the shoyru, whom she really didn't want here. Sounded like they would get sidetracked talking about this Ara. She turned back to Daani.
"Alright, I understand. But whoever, or whatever, has control of Lue's powers or body said Lue didn't know about them, and flew off toward the building that just collapsed."
"I have no idea what could have caused that, but whatever it is could eb a problem," Gorrio answered truthfully, slipping through the door. Omega was standing nearby, and the grarrl wasted no time in interrogating them for news.
"What's been going on out there? Besides earthquakes."

Daani paid no attention to Phyn. "Oh yeah? And how would you know what a lie about that evil little demon is?"
Vi stormed over to them. "Neither of you have any right at all to call her evil," she hissed. "She has a problem but I will guarentee you, Arathyne Talahyn has never killed anybody."
Daani snorted. "Says you! Look what she did to my eye, you idiot!" She raised the patch and Vi could see the socket where her left eye should be, gone smooth over the years. She snapped the patch back into place. "Did you not see those bodies fall before her earlier? Or are you in denial? Don't tell me she's your friend."
Vi was so angry, she pulled her fist back and slammed it into Daani's face. The Aisha fell down and rubbed at her jaw. A long line of curses followed.

Phyn didn't protest to being interupted by their argument. She grimaced as Daani revealed her eyes, or lack of, but otherwise didn't do anyhting until the shoyru punched Daani.
"Don't you dare hit her." She snarled, grabbing the shoyru's arm forcfully. "What your friend's done here today seems enough to settle and argument over her morals. But if you want to try and sway our opinion, go ahead." Truth be told Phyn was curious. She knew almost nothing about magic, and now seemed the best time to start learning, with the world in chaos because of it.

"Arathyne is not my friend," Vi snarled. "Her problems do not concern any of you."
"They sure as hell concern me!" came Daani angrily. "I watched her slay an entire village, and then we were in a field, a sea of blood, and then she done took my eye and fingers! I tried to shoot her, but the bullets were deflected!! .5 caliber, and they were DEFLECTED!"
"That wasn't her! You're mistaken!"
"I am not! I remember her exactly, clear as day! Her teal hair and her eyes blue as ice, jeans with holes ripped in the knees, that tattoo on her upper left arm--"
"That was Bekka!" The words came out before Vi could stop them.

"Who is the world is Bekka?" Phyn snapped, trying to ignore the details of Daani's meeting with her. "Because today in the city that sure looked like the same xweetok that was cowering in the pizzaroo trying to find some human."

Vi sighed; apparently she was going to have to tell. Somehow that felt like betrayal, but then again, what did she care? She didn't like Arathyne one little bit. Why was she defending her. She opened her mouth to speak when Roni came running to her, yelling her name. "What's wrong?" Vi asked.
"Trei has something she wants to tell us. It's about where Ara is. Come on!" She grabbed Vi by the arm and flew a bit into the air, carrying Vi like she didn't weigh a hundred fifty seven pounds of muscle. She went quickly forward and around a corner.
Daani looked at Phyn, annoyed. "I'm going to follow," she said, and then took off after them.

Phyn stumbled a bit was the shoyru was tugged from her grip, and stood therw watching them until Daani said she was following and ran off. Phyn frowned, but took off after the aisha, hopping up to fly and catch up to them. Not that going after a homocidal xweetok was something she cared for. Someone's got to keep an eye on Daani, at least. Who knows what she might do.

Daani chased after them and hid behind some trash cans, peering through as she watched the shoyrus land by the xweetok.
"All right, what is it?" Vi asked. "Something about our lost little puppy?"
"Bekka's awake," Trei stated frankly.
"Oh. Wow. Again?"
Trei nodded once. "Apparently she'd killed a whole mess of people before getting a fever and passing out. Her magick is malfunctioning really badly. She and Ara keep switching awake back and forth, but now Bekka's awake again. She tried to kill the people taking care of her, but her magick isn't working, so she's planning on using physical methods, like actually picking up a knife and stabbing someone."
"That's not really her style," Roni mused. "She must be desperate."
"No shit," answered Vi. "Where is she?"
"Roo Island," replied Trei.
"How did you find her?"
"Her brain waves are really intense. I wasn't even looking. We have to go get her before her mind corrupts."
