((*slaps self silly* Hehe, for some reason I completely forgot about that. *hides*))
Strips remained in the same position, eyes still closed so he couldn't see Zcy's chest rise. He was still holding her in one arm, but the one that was closest to the dagger wound went numb and was just hanging. His tail slowly rose up and wrapped around the dagger in his back, though he still didn't pull it out. "Come on" he whispered again.

Beads of sweat formed on Zcy's face. She clenched her teeth and tried desperately to do as the voice asked. She pulled into herself, and looked for this blue light the voice had been talking about. Her... healing.. color?? She found it. The healing lightning. She grabbed it and dragged it wearily to her wound.

Strips opened his eyes when he felt her neck move slightly from her clenching her teeth, and also noticed the beads of sweat at that point. "Come on Zcy, fight it. You've got too much more to live for" he whispered. He continued to watch intently, seemingly fascinated. He set her down at that point, remembering how she felt about being touched, though he still remained at her side. His eyelids slowly began to droop though, and the grip his tail had on the dagger loosened. He didn't want to pull it out in fear he'd loose too much blood, but having it stay in wasn't good either.

It seemed like her body and mind were two different things. Her fingers began to twitch and her breaths got louder as her mind took the light to her wound. Suddenly it began to glow a deep blue, and a soft hum emitted from it. The blue worked itself up into small lightning bolts that mended the wound, and then gathered into one and rose to the sky. The lightning flashed, and struck her heart. All the lights went out and her eyes flew open.

Strips closed his eyes and put his hand in front of his face when the blue light appeared. He gave a sigh of relief when Zcy opened her eyes, though couldn't find it in him to work up a smile. She was alive though, and that's all that mattered to him; he could go now. He grunted as his tail wrapped tighter around the dagger again and he pulled it out, blood pouring out of the wound immediately. He closed his eyes again, as if waiting for something. "Well done, kid" he whispered.

She looked around, and sat up. She saw Strips. Suddenly she found herself hugging him, putting her hand on his wound and healing it quickly. Then she let go before something bad happened. A shock went through her and she felt better.

Strips quickly opened his eyes and was about to jerk away from her, but she beat him to it. He was surprised she had done that for him; he figured she would have been pissed at him for lying to her. If it hadn't happened so fast, he probably would have told her not to do it. He took in a deep breath and stretched out his wing, rolling his shoulder blade in the process. He stood and took a step back, unsure of what to do or say. "Are you alright?" He finally asked, though he was quieter than he usually was.

She nodded. "Are you?"

Strips looked down at the ground but nodded, looking back up at her before speaking. "Physically, I'm fine. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you like I should have been." He bent down at picked up his dagger, wiping the blood from it on his pant leg before returning it to where it never should have left; his belt. "And as long as you're well enough to take care of yourself, I should probably go" he added.

She frowned. "Wait," she said, surprising herself.

Strips raised an eyebrow; he hadn't been expecting that either, and he was rather confused by it. Why would she still want him around? Especially after he lied to her. But he remained anyway, or at least he would for now. "Why?"

She stood and twiddled her thumbs nervously. "I... uhm, I don't know," she said. "Well, you see, the desert's kinda... big, and.. I um, have this problem, and... uh..." She didn't say anything more.
((Just as a note, she doesn't like Strips in a lovey-dovey sort of way. She thinks of him more as an older brother. ^^))

((Hehe, that's pretty cool actually.))
Strips looked down at the ground while he thought, and it took him a while to respond on account he wasn't sure what to do. You couldn't have convinced him that he wasn't responsible for what just happened, and although she seemed fine, he still felt bad about it. Of course, he'd feel a lot worse if she got lost in the middle of the desert and he made it out alive. He looked up at her and nodded. "Very well, I shall escort you to the nearest town."

((And of course, she has that little 'problem' thing... *shifty eyes *)) She clapped her hands together in glee. "Yay! That's good." She grinned at him.

((lol, he just thinks that her problem is that she's bad with directions.))
Strips raised an eyebrow, wondering why she was so happy after what happened. He would have been pissed or depressed or something, but far from happy that's for sure. If it wasn't for the fact they were in the middle of the desert, he would have questioned whether she was on something or not. He looked up at the sky and at the stars as he wondered how to proceed. "Right, right, but you must be exhausted." He said as he turned his head to look at her again. "We could stay here tonight and continue in the morning" he added. He figured it would be better to travel in the sun than sleep in it where the snakes and other creatures could get to you before you realized what had happened. However, traveling by night would be much easier, though he still doubted they would make it to the nearest town before the sun came up again.
