((No, she's kind of autistic, hence the dislike of touching, and her autism sometimes makes her act like a little kid, hence the gleeful clapping.))
"Well, are you exhausted?" she asked. "There's three reasons why we should travel at night. One, it's far easier to travel when it's not a thousand degrees out. Two, Tack is going to be traveling this way because he saw us fly this way, and I doubt he won't be here by morning. And thirdly, nine of the ten most poisonous snakes live in the Lost Desert, and they all come out at night, but we can handle those, and they won't come attack us in the sun."

((lol, interesting though cool.))
Strips stood there, nodding his head as she spoke. Honestly, she had lost him a while ago and now he was merely pretending to listen. He caught the word "Tack" and remembered he would probably be going after them again. Which got him thinking, it probably wouldn't be a very good idea to fly out of here; they would be easily spotted from the air. Walking through the desert shouldn't be that bad though. And he had heard her question, though figured how tired he was wasn't relevant.
He nodded one last time when he realized Zcy had finished talking. "Yeah, that sounds logical. Well then, let's get going."

((Hey, I'm reading the Luieno rp (but I'm still way back on page 7 >_<), and did Strips really get a girl pregnant?? )) She nodded and they started walking. They walked in silence in some direction away from the oasis until dawn approached. Zcy found a small crook in the giant rock formation they'd been passing and decided maybe they should sleep in there. It was just big enough for the both of them and turned a corner to hide them from view. Zcy put up an invisible barrier that would shock anything that touched it. She curled up into a little ball and went to sleep, exhausted after all she'd done.

((Kinda, but it wasn't his fault. Or in other words, he kept his pants on! XD))
Strips followed Zcy into the crook and sat down, watching her as she put up the barrier. He smiled when she went to sleep, though he wasn't sure he would be able to. His mind was still racing, making him feel a little dizzy actually. He was glad beyond words that they had walked all that way without a word being said. That's how he liked it; silence. He leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes, still just thinking though.

((Ermm, well, he has a very pretty son ^_^'))
When noon came, Zcy woke. She took a small sip of water from her bottle, wishing her cousin Vinetaa was here to make more in case they ran out. But then again, no she didn't, because her cousin was a pirate, and had sailed off somewhere and had yet to return, she heard. She looked over at Strips. Was he awake?

((Hehe, thanks. Krizpie drew it.))
Strips may have dozed off a few times during the morning, but for the most part he had stayed away. He had never been able to sleep very well; always paranoid, and he was plagued with constant horrible nightmares. The dreams alone were enough of an excuse for him not to sleep. His ears perked when he heard Zcy get up and he opened his eyes. "Sleep well?"

"Sort of," she told him, digging through her pack. She found a small yellow fruit and held it out to him, grinning. "You hungry??" she asked.

Strips stared at the fruit for a moment. Normally he wouldn't eat fruit; he was, like, morally against fruits and vegetables or something. But he didn't think it would be wise to refuse considering their location and circumstances. "I'm sure you're more hungry than I. You eat first and I'll eat whatever you don't" he decided.

"Are you sure?" she asked. She really was hungry - famished, actually - but if he wanted something to eat, then he should eat first. It was only polite, after all.

Strips nodded, "absolutely, positively, one-hundred percent, no doubt in my mind, beyond a shadow of a doubt, sure." She should eat first for a couple of reasons in his mind. One, she was younger. Two, he figured he could last longer without food. Three, she was female. And lastly, he still felt bad about last night. She could have eaten it all and he wouldn't have said a word about it.

"Well, okay," she muttered, "if you're sure. I mean, girls and women are built for famine*, and men aren't, soooooo...." But she really, really hoped he wouldn't change his mind. So instead, she cut it in half with a small bolt of lightning and bit into the half she claimed as her own. Juices poured into her mouth and she ate the entire fruit in mere seconds. Then she blushed, embarrassed at her uncivilized behavior. "Sorry," she mumbled. ((*Women really are built for famine, you know. Guys aren't. Don't ask why, I'm not sure why, I just know that's how it is. ^___^))

((lol, yeah; he's just weird like that. He'll go out of his way to hold doors open for females. *shakes head*))
Strips chuckled and looked down at the ground. "Perhaps you're right, but that's okay. Trust me, I've gone far longer without food before; skipping a day ain't gunna kill me. Besides, that snake from yesterday was enough for me." He paused and chuckled some more, finding the way she was eating to be quite amusing. He lived with someone who liked to swallow metal objects whole and someone else who liked to drain the blood out of things; what she did was nothing compared to the eating habits of his roommates. "No need to be sorry, and please feel free to eat the other half too."

She didn't hesitate to gobble down the other half. He had his chance at eating it, she reminded herself. So it's really yours for the taking.
