"Well, see, after a while of being out in the desert and all that, home started to feel pretty nice. But I lost my way and ended up wherever, and God knows when we'll reach the next city so I can contact her."

Strips nodded, understanding how she felt. After a week of sleeping on park benches he was ready to be home again too. Which was kind of odd because for a good two years of his life he wondered around and would sleep anywhere he pleased; probably just got used to sleeping in a bed and wanted it back. "Well I'm glad you decided to go home, even though you got lost. No need to worry, I'm sure you'll make it okay." He paused and thought back on her story, a question entering his mind. "You in high school or college?" Nineteen sounded too old to be in high school, but he could be wrong; he wasn't really sure.

She flushed red in embarrassment. This point of the topic always made her feel stupid. "Erm, well, I am nineteen, yes, but I started school a year late when I was a pup, and because of our constant moving, I sometimes don't do too well. I try, always, but sometimes, I..." She shook her head. "So, anyway, I'm two years behind, and only a junior."

Strips smiled at her embarrassment. "Ain't no reason to feel embarrassed, especially around someone like me. I dropped out of high school for about a year, but then my father made me realize that by doing so I was giving up, so I went back and finished a year behind everyone. I don't remember a bloody thing I learned, but passing high school was the only way I would have been able to....never mind." He paused and closed his eyes, yawning a bit. "I find it kind of hard to believe that your...uh....your uh.....the person that you live with let you leave. But I guess I shouldn't, anything is possible with those bloody homosapians." He clearly had a great disliking toward the human race, even towards the human he lived with, though he had learned to tolerate that oddball.

"She's a hard one to figure out, my owner," she mused aloud. "There could be many reasons as to why she let me go without a fight, but in the end it all barrels down to one main reason, usually to teach me some sort of lesson the hard way."
((Oooh, I'm an oddball! Poke me!! ^_____^))

((Gah! Don't poke me! Poke her! *points to Lil*))
Strips gave a small growl in the back of his throat and got a look of total disgust on his face. He hated the word 'owner'. In his opinion, no one should own anyone else. He was lucky in the fact that Anna didn't consider herself an owner, not even a caretaker; just another being in the house. He liked it that way; liked the feeling of equality. And it was an almost constant feeling, except for that time she kicked him out of the house. It was her house so she had every right to, but it still bothered him. He nodded, "Yeah, but being taught a lesson can be a good thing. I'm not sure if Anna was trying to teach me a lesson or not when she kicked me out, or if she was so pissed by my behavior that she couldn't take it anymore." He shrugged, "Oh well I guess."

"Lessons can be hard to learn, though," Zcy mused. "My Aunt Lucy told me this thing one time: 'Experience is a hard teacher: she gives the test first, the lesson afterward'. It's a pretty true saying, actually." She paused. "Sooo, any other questions?"

(The rp weent really far! o.o)
Tack hobbled off in their direction in the flaming sun light, his hand clutching the open wound in his chest from Strips's dagger. The blood was still driping through his fingers and droppeing on to the desert sands, "I got to get that basterd" he told himself angirly. "I'm gunna find him and tear his heart out of his chest."

Strips smiled though shrugged. "Don't know, really. Why don't you just tell me a little more about yourself. You know, keep me awake awhile." His smile grew, amused by the fact that he was about ready to pass out. And clearly he was tired if he found that amusing. Yet, he didn't want to fall asleep and leave Zcy up by herself. He was feeling strangely overprotective of her.

"Weeeell," she said nervously, hugging her knees, "I suppose you've noticed by now, but.... um, I have a little problem. I'm autistic." She cast her eyes down. "It's pretty bad. I don't take medications for it, though, because I don't believe in that." She paused. "I hate being touched. I don't know why, it just terrifies me to the core when somebody touches me. But... it's weird. When you touch me, like when you were carrying me here, I don't feel so terrified. It's more of a subtle fear, but not the absolute terror." She shrugged. "Who knows? It's the same with my owner. I can touch her and be just fine. Part of my autism also makes me act childish sometimes, too."

Strips gave a half nod, pretending he understood, but in all honesty, he had never met anyone with autism before. Nor was he entirely sure what it was, other than what Zcy was telling him. “I see…” He stated as he continued to think. Hearing that he was one of the few people that didn’t make Zcy uncomfortable when touched made him feel kind of special, but he would never say that out loud. Now he was at a loss for words, he had no idea what he was supposed to say to that. “So…you’ve had this all your life then?” He asked, stupidly.

"Pretty much," she answered. "I can speak a lot better than most people with autism can, so people don't usually know it unless they're told. And I'm really good with numbers. Like in my head, I can do seven hundred ninety two divided by three is two hundred sixty four, or four thousand eight hundred thirteen divided by seven equals six hundred eighty-seven point five seven one four two eight repeated. And pi is three point one four one five nine two six five four..." She proceded to recite the first five hundred digits of pi, and then stopped. "That's all I know of it," she admitted sadly.
((I had to use a calculator for both of those XDDDDDDD))

Strips held his head with his hand when Zcy started doing math in her head; it was giving him a headache. He had never been good with math, he had passed every math class with nothing more than a D. But then again, he passed all of his classes with nothing more than a D. About the time Zcy started reciting pi Strips nodded off, and woke up and hour later when Zcy was finished. He blinked a few times, unsure whether or not he had actually fallen asleep. "Uh, well... I'm quite impressed. There's no way I'd ever be able to do that."

(I have discovered the wonders of spell/grammar check! ha ha)
Injured though he was, Tack forced himself to move on. he was going to kill Strips, and he was going to kill his little Gellert friend. Something was not normal about that girl, she had acted so childish wehn he last saw her, and it was kind of weird. But she'd be easy. He was sure of that.
