Strips nodded, curiosity now satisfied. He had gotten the information he wanted out of her and now he could care less how comfortable she was around him. He was a little disappointed though. Because she was born with her power he would never be able to learn how to do it himself; never be able to harness it or learn how it works. But he supposed it was for the best. "Well, I'm sure you'll get better at it as time goes on. And eventually I'm sure you'll master it. No harm no foul, but I'll give you credit for almost killing me. You and that monkey could have done it together if you had wanted to."

"But I don't want to. Like I told Tack - erm, that's the Mynci's name - he may be a murderer, but I'm not. That's why I gave him the healing water. It'd be cruel to just leave him there to die."
((You know... she never said she was born with the power, just that she's always seemed to have had it... *shifty eyes* ^^ Strips could take that into consideration before he gets all evil on her.))

((Ahhh, a little on the sly there, aren't we, Lil? ^^))
Tack stood back, on a branch at the top of the tree the two were sitting under. What interesting information, he thought. He knew the Kourga's intentions, totally. After all, they weren't particulary good ones, and who knew better than he how to sense bad intentions? But he wasn't going to let the Kourga waste the Gellert who's name he still did not know - he'd come in after that, to his distase. If he knew her name, he could controll her. He could harness that girl's power. He would do whatever it took to keep her safe from any harm.

((lol, that's true. He just assumes she was born with it. And who said he's gunna get all evil on her? *shifty eyes*))
Strips's ears perked at the name 'Tack', but just as quickly they flattened and he let out a sigh. That name was familiar to him, and a little depressing. But he pushed that thought aside and concentrated on listening to what the gelert was saying. "Well, he didn't technically murder anyone today. And depending on what your definition of murderer is, you probably aren't gunna like me much either. And although it may have been cruel, killing him might have ended up saving your life in the future."

((Zcy's... weird. She's complicated, but simple, too. She's smart, but at the same time a little bit naïve. She says she's anti-violence, and yet she has a very deadly power she got a trainer to help her use better and she attacked Tack.))
She frowned. "What do you mean by all that?" she asked suspiciously.
((Hey, any coincidence that your monkey's named Tack and so is the guy in my story?? ^^))

((lol, she's complicated. XD))
Strips frowned and he stood up, facing away from her before answering her question. "I have taken many, many lives in the past; far too many to count. But whether or not it was murder is a matter of oppinion. Some say it was, some say it wasn't. It depends on whether or not you consider defending one's country and killing people in the process murder. And as far as Tack goes, I'm guessing he'll try to kill you again." He paused and looked at her again. "But I could be wrong" he added.

"Well, if you're killing in defense, I don't suppose it's murder," she answered, looking up at him. "And I know he'll probably come back to kill me in a minute or so. But I can fend for myself, you know." She plucked a blade of grass and twirled it in her finger. "I'm not helpless."

"Killing, torturing for information, getting a big kick out of it." He smirked and his tail swished from side to side, but then he paused and frowned. "But that was in the past, yet I'm still paying for it. Serves me right I suppose" he added. He watched her fiddling with the grass, giving a small smile. "I have no doubt that you will be able to take care of yourself. I was merely pointing out a fact."

"Yes, I know." She focused on the grass, snaped it in two, then sent little bolts of static electricity through her fingers, to the snapped ends of the blade. They met the other half and pulled each other together. When the electricity faded, the grass was whole again and looked as if it had never been broken.

Strips cocked his head as he watched what she had down to the grass. 'How interesting' he thought. He couldn't help but imagining what it would be like if that grass had been someone's bone. He was about to sit with her again but couldn't bring himself to do so. He wasn't sure what it was, but he felt like something was close. He felt the need to stay standing and keep his guard up. And yet he couldn't help but watching his gelert, and after a moment he sighed. He really dug himself in a hole with what he had said earlier; he would have to remedy that. "I hope you know I'm not gunna hurt chu, kid."

"Hmm?" At this she looked up. She scanned his face for a moment, then smiled wryly. "I know," she said finally, tearing a new blade of grass.

Strips sighed and rubbed the back of his neck with hand, but eventually nodded. At this point he couldn't see any reason why he would hurt her; he couldn't use her for anything, or at least he didn't think he could. And he preferred not to harm children, even if it would cost him is own life. He smiled again, "Are you having fun?"

She fixed the grass again and said, "I'm easily amused. My mom says that's a good quality to have. That way you're never bored." She looked up at him. "And I hate being bored."

Strips managed an amused chuckle. "Your mother's probably right about that. I hate being bored as well." Though he wasn't very easily amused, and he was becoming incredibly bored standing here. He had been in this spot too long; he had to keep moving or he would go crazy. It was past noon by now; lunch time in his opinion. Though he doubted he would find any lunch in this oasis. He could venture into the desert again and snag himself a snake; them's good eatin'. But he didn't want to leave Zcy there while he was feeling so uneasy about the place. "So, tell me about your mother. She nice?" He asked, trying to strike up a conversation.

"Nice as they get," she said with a laugh. "Oh, hey, you hungry? I got something in here I think..." She dug around in her bag for something until- "Aha! Here it is. I hope you, uhhh, like snake, because I found one earlier, and uhmmmm..." She produced a small, foot long dead snake from her bag. She cut it in half with the lightning and held one half out to him. "Ermmm, tada?" She laughed.
((random yes but I just HAD to put that in there lol))
