People were dancing everywhere to the cheesy music that was streaming from the speakers. "...not that it matters much," she replied, more thinking aloud than replying to Drift.
(short... >.< I don't know how we're going to do this, should Drift like be all "BOOM HEADSHOT " and then rue could do the whole "I'm dead, screw you haha" or something else? I mean I doubt Drift's that stupid anyway, but I dunno. )

((I could sorta see that happening, but you're right... Drift isn't stupid xD;; I was sorta thinking they might end up in a sort of alliance against some coorporation.. or we could have random dudes show up (from drift's phone call) and start shooting people or something xDD))
Drift simply stared at her, tilting his head ever-so-slightly, his hand reaching down to his belt again, brushing the pistol, but then flying away rapidly as if the weapon had burnt him. No. That wouldn't work. Besides, it was too crowded, dark, and loud. He didn't want to hurt innocents. Not that it mattered either, that hadn't stopped him earlier...

(I think it'd be easier for the phone call-guys to turn up and start shooting... sounds more fun. XP)
The strobe lights turned on, flickering in time with the music. The bass was thumping loud. Too loud. Rupalia scowled slightly. There was a faint bang from somewhere, heard dimly over the music... somebody ran past. Rue could make out people entering in the few seconds of light allowed by the strobe lights. There was a scream. She glared at Drift accusingly, assuming this had something to do with this.

Drift turned rapidly towards the sound of the noise, and then regarded Rue, reading her expression instantly, he reached out his arms in a "not me" gesture. Something banged and a small object whizzed by his ear. Screams erupted, people were running, diving under chairs and behind tables. What is going on? Drift pushed a clearly inebriated young zafara woman who seemed in danger of being shot off the dance floor, then ducked behind the bar, pulling out his pistol.
