((Ooooookay, well I feel REALLY dumb right now, so I'll just post sommat. >->))
Trei rolled her eyes and smiled, then looked back at her own menu. She was in the mood for a really big cheeseburger. Unfortunately.... this particular restaurant was a bit too fancy for cheeseburgers.
"Ugh...." she grumbled.

((Don't be, it's my fault for not being clear enough ^^; ))
The lupe smiled back at her candidly, then returned her glance to the menu, only looking back up when Trei grumbled. "Hm?" Umber intonated, watching her curiously.

"The food looks really good," she said, more to herself than to Umber, "for some other time. Right now what I want is non-existant on this stupid menu..."

((lol.. I saw the Dhera marriage board and I was like hmmm... the pairing for Trei and Umber would be Treber or Umbei.. xDDDD))
Umber seemed to perk up slightly as she folded the menu and sat it back down, "We can go somewhere else. This place is a little fancy for my tastes." She turned to glare off in the direction of a waitress.
(ew short)

((I really like Umbei ^_^ xDDD))
"Thank god," said Trei, folding up her menu and standing. She walked briskly over to the exit and turned her head to briefly see if Umber was coming with before walking outside into the biting cold. "MOTHER F--!" She bit her tongue.

Umber followed suit, following the xweetok out of the restraunt, smiling inwardly with the slight distress this would cause to the waitress...
Hearing Trei's exclamation she stopped, a sullen little grin creeping into her features. The cold did not bother her much, while irritating and unfeasable - being pyrokinetic, her body naturally regulated itself. "Did you bring a jacket?" she asked Trei, putting on quite a good facade at looking guilty at the fact that she bothered to bring outerwear.

"I don't need one," she growled, cupping her palms together and shaking them furiously. "I was just caught off-guard. I didn't know how cold it was out here." The flame exploded into her hands, and she quickly pushed it into her mouth. She swallowed the last of the fire and exhaled slowly, black smoke coming out as well. She opened her eyes and smiled. "I'm all warm now," she said cheerily.

Umber watched this with a perplexed expression, a perfect moue of faint surprise on her face. Well that was interesting. Two pyros... how common is that? Too bad THIS pyro won't be sharing her secrets anytime soon... The lupe's eyes widened hugely, "How did you?" she stuttered, looking absolutely, convincingly, taken aback.

Trei wondered why Umber's thoughts were so loud. They seemed to be begging to be read. It was annoying.
So little Umber here is a pyro, as well? she thought. And if her thoughts don't calm down, then she won't have to open her mouth at all to reveal any "secrets".
"You would know, wouldn't you?" Trei asked mysteriously, a mischievous gleam in her eye.

Umber stared at her, a grim and set hostility building up in her face. ...What? "I have no idea what you're talking about." she said curtly, though there was a trace of ice in her voice, not caring to restrain herself for the moment.
There were a million other things begging to be said, but in the spirit of manipulation, Umber was silent, merely glowering at Trei. What is she talking about? How could she know? Was it the candles? Oh dammnit, it could've been... The cat's out of the bag now. But was it? Something in the lupe didn't trust that.

"The candles were a very big hint," said Trei casually. She wants to be in the spirit of manipulation? Two can play THAT game. "I'm surprised, though, that you didn't notice me put them out."

Her eyes widened visibly, almost comically to the point where her pupils were floating in whiteness. ...What? Oh, sh- Umber froze her thougts, as the realization hit her suddenly (and quite crazily) that the xweetok could read her mind. She laughed this off after a minute, looking at logic - of course she would bring in the candles, it had been obvious, hadn't it? But something here was still not right.
"I did." she replied mechanically, blinking once and completely composing herself in that minute space of time.

Trei could hear Umber's thoughts getting uneasy. She kept an innocent face on while smiling inwardly. Reading minds wasn't all that she could do... she could, if she really wanted, enter Umber's mind and move thoughts around and poke around and possibly delete memories or insert ones that never happened. But she wasn't that kind of person. She was getting enough satisfaction from this.
But she wasn't going to let Umber think she could read minds JUST yet. The suspicion had burrowed into her mind, but it was fleeting.
"Oh. You said nothing, so I wasn't sure." She looked around. "Oh, look, there's a really good place down here, I'm sure it will serve cheeseburgers and stuff."
