Umber continued staring at her, mouth in a frown, but then nodded. "Okay. Lead the way." She dismissed the reading mind notion (it was ridiculous!) but her gut instinct told her something was wrong, so she was on edge.

Trei walked down the sidewalk toward the new restaurant. She heard Umber dismiss the mind reading idea and let a small smile curl onto her face, seeing as her back was to the Lupe. And then an image flew across Trei's mind, an image clear out of her imagination, some weird fantasy that she both wanted to get rid of and think about more. It was an image of her and Umber staring at each other, and then Trei reaching forward and kissing her. Her heart was beating ridiculously fast. Sparks collected around her clammy fingertips and when she reached for the metal door handle of the restaurant, she pulled back sharply from the sudden shock of static electricity. The static gone, she opened the door again and looked carefully at Umber, her face calm and collected, and confident. Nothing about the way she stood or her expression gave away that she was obviously crushing big time on Umber. Trei's eyes went to Umber's, then flicked quickly to her lips and then even faster toward the inside of the restaurant. ((Can Umber maybe NOT notice anything about that for a while? ^^ )

((LOL OMG XDDDDD Umber: >( *expodes*
..and sure xD))
Umber looked at her with her "default" expression, a blank face with the slightest edge of a smirk rounding the corners, eyebrow raising only slightly at Trei looked at her for a moment, but saw overall nothing really amiss, opening the door for herself and following the xweetok into the restraunt. She chose a booth and sat down, crossing her legs and arms, and then watched Trei in a scrutinizing manner, as if waiting for her to do something interesting.

((XDDDDD I had to I'm sorry!! XDD))
Trei walked briskly in and sat across from Umber, but for a split moment everything started to go in slow-mo, and the world around her pulsed. It was gone when her foot hit the ground again and she sat down.
She raised her hand and snapped her fingers twice and a waiter was on them in no time. "Hello there, Trei. I didn't recognize you," the waiter said.
"Yeah," she grumbled.
"What can I get you two lovely ladies tonight?" he asked politely.
"I'll have a bacon cheeseburger without the tomato and no pickle or onion, extra mayo. And a diet Achifi will work too."

((no prob xD))
Umber sighed, done glancing at the menu, and spoke flatly, "I'll have a cheeseburger. Very well done. No tomatos or onions. And a water.." Thinking a moment, and sizing up the waiter, she said as an afterthought, "Please."
"What a place." Umber grumbled sarcastically as soon as the waiter dissapeared.

Trei let a mocking smile creep onto her face. "Was that just soooo painful, Umbie?" she asked, her eyes dancing maliciously as she slipped in that cutesy name that Umber would without a doubt hate with a burning passion and probably explode in a flare of anger. ((rofl wouldn't that be funny if, since Trei's all expecting Umber to blow up, she didn't? xDD; )

Her eyes narrowed a fraction, even before she looked directly at Trei; she had been examining her hands boredly, and their was genuine venom in her voice, "Umbie?" She snorted, a sarcastic smile on her face, "I would've thought you could have come up with a better one."

Trei twisted her mouth into a sideways smile. "Well we haven't known each other that long," she explained. "Pet names are not really my thing anyway." She then leaned back and asked, "Sooo, how old are you?" Though she could easily look into Umber's mind and check, she didn't particularly want to intrude, so she went the old-fashioned way.
((Let's say this is a.... year, before the big rp, so take her big rp age and go back one. That would make Trei 16.))

(okay :3. That would make Umber 18. JAILBAIT, JAILBAIT LOLOLOLOLOLOL.)
Umber shook her head slightly, then chuckled, leaning forward slightly, tilting her head downwards a bit to look at the Xweetok, her voice nearly flat, "Want to guess?" After a moment though she leaned back against the booth of the restraunt, seeming to inwardly shrug. "I'm eighteen. You?"

"Sixteen," she answered boredly, seeming to have grown bored with Umber. "And I don't like guessing games." She put on a sort of air like she really couldn't give two shits about anything about Umber or anything that she said. She wondered vagely what the Lupe would do about it.

The corner of Umber's mouth twitched. Wow. Interesting... "And I don't like nicknames." She said curtly, recrossing her legs so she could bob a booted foot up and down, appearing almost agitated, but her expression revealed really nothing. She glanced over her shoulder, towards the door, not only not disquising it, but making this gesture of wanting to leave painfully obvious.

Finally the food came. Trei ate hers slowly and without speaking, and then pulled money out of her purse to pay for the twenty-dollar burgers. She looked over at Umber.

Umber picked at her food without much interest, also silently, noting that Trei was not interested in conversing. Instead she watched the xweetok with a sort of smile on her face, it was not friendly, but there seemed to be a facet of something different... perhaps curiosity? in her expression.
She reminded her of something, no, someone she used to know... Unbidden, and before she could stop it, the vision of a white lupess came into her head, and Umber's smile turned bitter:
She was sitting on a park bench, entirely absorbed in the thick book she was reading. She was wearing a light, summery top and a flowy peasant skirt. Her hair was long, blond, and fell in loose curls. After a moment, she looked up, blue eyes widening slightly, but her face was still in a smile, as she opened her mouth to speak...
Umber squashed the thought, and after a moment, realized Trei was staring at her. "What do you want?" she nearly snapped, but then realized the xweetok was pulling out money to pay for the food. The lupe followed suit, producing a wallet, "So how do you want to do this? Dutch?"
