"I'm sure you can find something that would please you. Lady Zarana was fond of black. Much like yourself. And she was very concious of her looks." He snapped back, opening the door to reveal another bedroom, albeit smaller. A thin layer of dust covered the cluttered desk. Shallo glanced over it with rembrance before tossing the chest onto the floor.
"This is the apprentice room. If you insist on staying you may as well use it." He said as he turned back to walk past her, heading for the room of complaining humans. Once in the hallway he called down, but didn't come into sight.
"If you humans had been any bit observant you would have noticed that there's food and water enough there." He shouted, figuring they would be able to find the food and water flasks he had placed in the back before bringing them here. With that taken care of he stalked back to his own bedroom, checking his own appearance quickly in a mirror before going to wait for Umber in the main room.

Omega nodded, scanning over the map himself.
"How about here?" he asked, pointing to what appeared to be a large store on between the center of Neopia and the Bazaar.
"We could have someone check it out today, hopefully before any more foul weather or anything come up."
Phyn groaned, stretching awake and slipping off the bench, brushing her messy hair form her face and looking outside at the fire. After glancing over at Omega and Gorrio she got up, fillinf her bag and stalking outside.
"Need any help?" she asked the group already there, watching the floating wocky skeptically and heading toawrd Checkr.
Gorrio continued sleeping under the table, his tail flicking ever so often and sending sparks flying.

Trei supressed the tears and entered her sister's mind. It was chaotic. She herself was pushed around and knocked over several times by everybody else in there, trying to break free into consciousness. Trei looked at all the people.... all of the people that lived inside of Arathyne Talahyn's body. They all had different faces. She pushed her way through and made it to the back, where she found Ara's familiar face. She reached out to her. Carefully, Ara took her help, and Trei moved her to the front of the mind, refusing with all her might to never let go. She let Ara step through the crowded door to consciousness and pulled out as her sister opened her eyes.
"...mhn?"
"Ara?"
"Trei?"
"Oh, thank God."
"Trei.... what happened...? Where am I?"
"We're on the ferry. You had a little.... accident."
"I blacked out again."
"I know."
Trei helped Ara stand up. She barely noticed Ze, for her attention was at the metallic smell of iron coming from the open door at the top of the stairs.
"Let me see it." Ara's eyes were soft, something they rarely were when she was herself.
Trei helped her up the stairs slowly, and then led her outside. Ara left Trei and walked out several steps, looking all around, taking in all the gore and death that surrounded her. The boat wasn't moving forward. It was in place, rocking with the waves. Trei stood behind her.
Roni, seeing Ara and Trei, rushed through the force field and ran over to them. She stopped in her tracks when she saw the sadness in Trei's eyes, and the emptiness in Ara's. It broke her heart.
"Ara.... are you okay?" she asked slowly.
"Everywhere I go." Ara sighed, looking out at the bloody sea. "Everywhere I go, and I black out, I always wake up, usually somewhere new, and ... there's blood. There are dead people. Why do I always black out life and wake up to death?"
Roni put a hand on her sister's shoulder. She almost started to cry when she saw Ara flinch.
"Why, Roni? I know that you know."

Umber's mouth cracked into a grin at the Jetsam's snappy retort. Touch a nerve much? she thought with some satisfaction and made a mental note to find more about this Lady Zarana or whateverhernamewas. She opened the chest, and sifted through the old clothes - they had clearly not been worn in awhile, but they were well preserved, at least.
Ten minutes later, Umber wandered into the main room, looking a bit irritated but nevertheless dressed up - she wore a black, long tunic with matching Qasalan style leggings underneath it, in addition to pulling her hair in a ponytail away from her face. She had declined to change her shoes, instead wearing her boots, and gave Shallo a glare as if daring him to say something about it.
"Better?" she asked with resentment.

"It could work." said Drift, looking at the map closely. "Better than here, certainly." he added, loooking around. "If you want I could go check it out, maybe take someone with me. Best not to travel around here alone."
"Hey Phyn!" Checkr said, waving enthusiastically. Vixcy smiled a bit and waved aswell. "You Sure? Awesome." the kyrii said, stopping to unload a few cases of water from her backback and handing it to Phyn.

Ze was confused, all three girls were crying and upset.... He had practically saved everyone and no one was rejoicing. He bit his bottom lip and followed them cautiously. What was worse was that they were accepting the killer like an angel and making sure everything was alright with her instead of all the dying people around them. As the three girls stopped to look around at the damage Ze went over to the railing. The waves made the bodies rise and fall as they did and the darkened hue of the water made his stomach lunge. He was definitely not swimming the rest of the way... He turned back to the girls and rejoined them without notice. There was no one else on the boat really... Well not anyone that he had seen yet.
((Omg, Starling after reading that quote at the bottom of your post like 73892 times I figured out what it was from :] V for Vendetta right??? haha))

((Yup, it is :3 It's the part where Valerie wrote her life story on the toilet paper. I saw the movie for the first time a couple weeks ago and that one line just really really stuck out :3))

Shallo turned, glancing over what she had chosen.
"It'll do. Get over here so I can teleport us there," he said, picking up the ring he had used earlier.

Phyn picked up one of the cases, turning to take it back to the growing pile inside. Her antennae perked as she over heard Drift and omega discussing moving their 'base' and she dropped the case on the floor near the others as Omega continued the conversation.
"I wouldn't mind going either, whatever works for you. You might want to have someone who can fly go with you so they can see what the damage looks like over ther a bit better," the grarrl stated, looking back down at the map.
Phyn walked back outside, leaving the two to plan and strode over to Checkr.
"I wouldn't unload to fast. Omega and that gelert are making plans to move everything anyway.

Cirxel watched as roni ran out to meet the other girls, turning to the muttering crowd behind him. The leader of his troupe was attempting a head count, and as soon as Cirxel was sure he had been noted he hesistantly walked off the stage after Roni.
As he neared her he caught sight of the krawk but didn't do anyhting. The near crying girls made him uncomfortable and he figured it would be better if he left them alone. He put his hand on roni's shoulder, turning her so he could get her attention for a moment.
"I'd better go help out. I'll talk to you more later," he said quickly before letting her go and turning back to the stage were something was attempting to be arranged on contacting the mainland.

Ieno stared out across the devastation of the city. Big meteor rocks were everywhere, damaging almost every house and building. The earthquakes had broken the building from the ground up as well and dead bodies from the Xweetok's temper tantrum still laid unattended to along the street. The police, medics, and firefighters had tried to get as much up as they could but there was still quite a lot of mess around... Ieno switched his eyes to the building where everyone was staying, his gaze falling on Checkr and Phyn... His heart beat had decreased a lot in his rest and his vision grew blurry. Before he knew it everything went black.....

Azura stood up, twiddling her thumbs and walked over to the others. ((I don't care who, someone can just reply to her)) "Is there anything I can do to help???" She asked a small shy smile appeared on her face. She hadn't really done much this whole time...

"You....." Roni paused, trying to find a way to tell her.
"Say anything and I'll have to hurt you."
They turned to see Vi standing behind them, an angry look on her face.
"Vi? What are you talking about?" asked Trei.
"Roni, I told you," said Vi, "and Trei, you too... we can't tell Ara."
"Can't tell me what?" Ara glared at her sister.
Vi sighed. "We can't tell you... anything. Not until the time is right."
We were created to block it all out, and she has gone so long without remembering that if she does, she will collapse.
Vi clenched her fists, ground her teeth together, and looked to the ground. Damn it, Emma.... she thought angrily.
Her mind will destroy itself, her nerves will shut down, and one of us will take over. Odds are very great that that someone will be Rebekka.
"You are disgusting."
"What?" Vi looked up, surprised.
"You make me sick," snarled Ara. "Roni and Trei too, but especially you, pirate."
"Oh, please, Ara, let's not get into this hatred of pirates thing again--"
"You three know what's wrong with me, and you won't let me in on the secret! It'll make it better!"
"No, Ara, you don't understand!"
"I don't understand because you won't tell me anything!"
"If I tell you, it'll kill you!"
"What?!?!?!"
"Yes! I'm not lying!"
Ara grabbed her head and yelled in pain. Roni and Trei's eyes widened and they grabbed Ara's arms. Trei went into Ara's mind to stop whoever was coming out from escaping, but she was met by a solid stone wall. There was no way in. A powerful force slammed into her, so hard that she was thrown out of Ara's mind and even physically, several feet away. Roni was hit too, and nearly thrown into the sea. She grabbed the railing before she fell.
Fortunately, at the last minute, it wasn't Bekka that woke up, but it was one that had probably woken up once or twice. She looked around, and then hopped into the air. She took flight and zipped away faster than lightning.
"Crap, she's gone!" Vi growled.

The ferry passed the one with all the chaos without notice. Daani stepped off the ship and found herself in Meridell. She and all the other passengers were surrounded instantly by guards and officers telling them to either get back on the ferry or get into the underground shelters. Daani managed to meld away from the crowd and slip off on her own.
When she got into the Meridell village, the streets were deserted, and there was an unearthly quiet about it all. She briefly recalled the bustle and noise of a Meridell eight years past, and then continued on. Plenty of buildings were in shambles, and they looked like they'd suffered a horrible fire.
There were no guards around the palace because there was no one in the palace. Daani could tell as soon as she laid eyes on what used to be the Castle of Meridell, but what was now a pile of stones and dust. She was about to leave when she heard someone cough up ahead.
She followed the noise and found a green Techo lying against a large stone. She squatted down and asked, "What happened here?"
"Fires," the Techo whispered hoarsely. "And earthquakes. That damn Kayla and Kauvera, they set the whole village on fire, and then a quake came and did this to the castle. The villagers had been hidnig out here. I'm one, myself. And then the quake killed most of us. I will probably die soon. The water's all contaminated and there's no food that won't kill you with one bite."

OOC: Yeah. *pokes page 46* She followed them to the FERRY and with careful spy manuevering, found out where they were headed so she could sneak over to the next FERRY over. She certainly wasn't going to risk being on the same FERRY as them. |

Umber's lip did a small spasm, wanting to sling a retort at the jetsam, but she supressed it, walking over, and standing beside him, wondering faintly what teleporting felt like and if it hurt, but of course not voicing these concerns.

"You mean Drift?" Checkr asked, looking in the window. "Yup, Drift." Taking Phyn's advice, she set her bookbag down but didn't unpack it. After a moment Vixcy followed suit.
"Right." Drift agreed, looking around at the room, "Anyone willing to do that?"
Seeing that no-one else was responding to Azura, Vixcy piped up, "Well, you can help me put out my brother in a minute or so... or if you want breakfast.. Not much use doing gathering until we've moved." The aisha indicated with a nod towards the window - Skypii, formerly floating above the campfire, was now flying around it in tight "donut" circles, his tail aflame.

Shallo took hold of her arm and slipped the ring on. In another moment he had activated the magic and the two were standing in one of the palace coutyards.
Shallo doubled over as the freezing wind howled past him. Slushy snow and hail stung his skin as he tried to gather what was going on. They were definatly in the palace gorunds, but the half foot deep snow and ice coating the ground and walls was not at all in place.
He quickly dragged Umber to the nearest door, shivering already, his thin desert clothes no match for the chill. Once he had the door open he pushed Umber inside before following her and slamming it behind him, thanking the stars they had fires going around the halls. He neared one, not planning on speaking till he was warm again.

Omega glanced outside and around the room as well.
"Phyn would probably do it. Probably Gorrio if he woke up. We should probably see if anyone will volunteer first."
Phyn was watching the wocky in the air for several seconds before questioning begining her questioning.
"If he's a ghost, how come he can catch aflame?"

Azura didn't understand what the Aisha had meant until she glanced over and saw the wocky on fire. She looked over at the Ruki and nodded, "I was just thinking the same thing!" She said with a small laugh.
((Bleh, I feel so useless... all my pets are in weird places.... ))
