"Good, I have that class too!" chirped Saluki before Trei's outburst made her visibly cringe. Although she was already quite leggy for her age and taller than the xweetok, she took a step back, ears pressed flat against her head, looking hurt.
"But..But..." she protested, before falling silent, thoughts now coming hard and fast. "Trei!" interjected the teacher, "What is the meaning of this?"

Trei looked sharply over her shoulder at the teacher, who suddenly stopped moving toward her and staggered backward, then stayed still with a sort of glazed look in her eye. Slowly, Trei turned her head back forward and sat in her seat irritably. The teacher stayed dazed for a few minutes before shaking her head and asking, "W-Where am I?"
Trei rolled her eyes. She didn't know what she'd done to the teacher but she did know that this was going to be a long day.
((Hehe, yay she charmed the teacher! >DD))

(xDD)
"You're in your room, Mrs. Rambore." said Saluki cheerily enough, not seeing anything too strange about the situation.
She turned back to Trei, speaking very fast, "Also we have to go to Science. And also I forgive you for yelling at me because I know inside you're really sorry and you want to tell me so but you're embarrased too, but it's okay cos I'm saying this, and I forgive you anyway." she added, nodding happily at her own strange logic.

Trei stood up and said, "Whatever," before walking briskly past Saluki and toward her science class. The teacher was a male Bruce and he was trying to settle everybody down. Trei took a seat in the back of the room, not caring if he noticed her or not, but not wanting another lame introduction.

(lol, Saluki's so clueless..)
"Hey, wait up!" the gelert called, having to jog to keep up with Trei. She entered the classroom, wanting to sit next to the xweetok, but a lack of open chairs forced her to sit up at the front of the room. Saluki frowned slightly, but then took her seat anyways, eyeing the teacher and blackboard beadily.

((lol well she's like what, seven? xDD she has an excuse. ROFL))
This class moved by even slower than the last one. The teacher barely acknowledged her and Trei spent the entire time staring out the window at the scenery. It sucked here. She hated it. At last the bell rang once more and she was on her way to Mrs. Rambore's again for math, praying that Saluki wouldn't be with her in this one.
((xDD LOL Awww))

Unfortunately for Saluki (though quite in Trei's favor), the gelert did not join her in her math class, and instead stood sadly by Mrs. Rambore's doorway, "Hey, I have art class now.. Do you wanna sit with me at lunch though?" Saluki wagged her tail and flashed her most winning smile, practically making puppy eyes.

((lol, Saluki prolly thinks Trei's this horribly mean person, but she's actually super-nice to everybody. xD She's just recently started hearing thoughts and she can't yet tame it, so it irritates her.))
Trei flashed a sharp look at Saluki, and then, seeing in her eyes the pleading trying to hide itself from her view, sighed and then nodded. She couldn't be cold for long. She was such a softie. "Yeah, sure, I'll see you at lunch," she said dully, hoping she wasn't going to die with all those people crammed into the lunchroom, all thinking things at once.

(Nah, Saluki thinks she's a really really nice person. She has no other friends xDD Ah! That explains it :3)
Saluki beamed, her smile going on as fast as someone flicked a lightswitch for a very powerful bulb. "YAY!" she shrilled, lunging forward to crunch Trei in a hug, before whirling on her feet and running down the hallway at top speed, grinning all the way, slowing down only when she ran into a thin Lenny teacher who was carrying a stack of papers - he dropped them when she hit him, and looked angry, but Saluki was already far gone.

The hug wasn't something Trei was expecting, but it did leave her a little fuzzy inside. She was ashamed of how mean she'd been all day, and felt like making it up to Saluki who'd been nothing but nice to her. When she went into her class and sat down, she couldn't help but feel a little sad that Saluki wasn't in this class with her. ((Would you hate me if Trei got an itty-bitty first-grader crush on Saluki? ^^ )

((Course not, lol! That'd be kinda cute xDDD)) Saluki's next class was art, and she worked industrially the entire bell with her fingerpaints, tongue sticking out a corner of her mouth with concentration, making a painting. She was so absorbed she didn't even hear the whispers of a few girls behind her, making the daily hushed remarks about her odd clothing and strange mannerisms. The teacher hovered by her several times, quite concerned with her silence - as could be expected, the gelert was not bouncing off the walls, splashing paint everywhere, or drilling him with irrevalent questions.

((Kk, good xD Cos some people get really offended or something if they find out that Trei is lez for some reason oO))
Finally the bell rang. Trei practically flew out of her seat to get to the lunchroom. She had her own little sack lunch and stayed at the entrance, waiting patiently for her new friend to arrive. She could hear the loud buzzing of thoughts running past her into the lunchroom, and tried to focus her energy on ignoring it, or at least calming it down. She wasn't very successful, but she did manage to keep focused on finding Saluki.

((Pfft, stupid people. Homophobes are gay! *waves sign* XD And just between you and me, one of my charries *cough*UMBER*cough* is sorta maybe...yeah... xDD I was debating it for awhile but if you know her story it does make sense. Saluki's pretty much asexual tho, with all her innocent bounciness xDDD))
"HIIIIII~" Trilled a voice from seemingly nowhere as Saluki bounded up, practically tripping over her own feet and several other students to reach Trei. She held up a psychedelic colored plastic lunchbox in one hand, and handed what she held in her other hand to Trei.
"I made you a painting!" she chirped happily. The painting itself was very messy, but it showed blobby forms of what looked like both of them standing on a hill, with sunlight, bright sky, green grass, ecetera. At the top was clumsily painted in bright yellow "FRIENDS".
"I've never had a friend before." Saluki informed her, in what was very sincere tone, but may have appeared creepy.

((Gay pride w00t Yeah my dad is homophobic and it's really annoying ; My mom says she's not, but she still prefers that men and women stick with opposites. She says being gay is "not natural". She knows they're (most of the time) born like that, but she says it's because of some weird malfunction in their system. oO Me, I don't care if you're gay or straight or bi, if you love somebody, it shouldn't matter. ^^)) Trei looked at the painting and smiled. Her heart fluttered a little bit and she blushed, but it thankfully didn't show on her black face. "Thanks," she murmured. "It's nice. I've never had a friend before either." That was pretty much true. She was always nice, but for some reason, people always wanted to be mean to her. She figured out why when she started hearing thoughts-- because she has an owner and is a very rare species, and is way smarter than any seven-year-old ought to be. "Can we maybe go eat outside?" she asked. "It's really loud in here." The thoughts were drilling into her head and were hardly sentences; mostly just jumbled up things and a word popped out every so often.
