Trei -and- Saluki

((My dad is, but only against gay dudes (typical guy, lol) xD And my mom isn't but she tells me all the time she'd be sad if me or my bro were gay cos we'd have a harder life.. Me, I'm the same way, I'll love you who ya are no matter what ;D even tho it creeps me out when chicks hit on me U_U; but its mostly cos they're really unattractive xDDD))

Saluki grinned happily, and looked momentarily puzzled, cocking her head, but then nodded and smiled again. "Uh.. okay! Sure! I don't think we're allowed, but recess is next so if we just stay on the playground!" She bounced up and down on her toes, bounding forward a few steps with long legs, then waited for Trei to catch up.

Trei followed her outside. The air was hot and dry, but that was how she liked it. The weather was nice here. She closed the door and sat against the brick wall, relieved that the only thoughts she could hear were Saluki's and her own.

She placed the painting down beside her and opened up her lunch box. Inside was something Lucy had thrown together - strawberry poptarts, some M&M's, an apple, and half a peanut butter sandwich. Trei sighed. She hated everything in here except for the apple, which was red and delicious.

((They could trade lunches! Put something in SAluki's lunch that Trei likes and she doesn't ^^))

(( You're better off. People that I don't want to hit on me hit on me. Like one time I was at the music store, playing a guitar, and some UGLY UGLY FAT adfsalkgj!!! Dude comes over and was all like "HOW YOU DOING?" and I was like EEP FLEEEEE!!! xDDD))

Saluki seemed to agree with her, sniffing the dry air before plopping down next to Trei against the brick wall, "I love the desert!" she said, looking briefly off at the sand dunes in the distance, before following suit and opening her lunch box. Inside was celery, what looked like a bag of granola-esque trail mix, a sandwich of unidentifiable kind, a juice box, and an orange.

"My families real healthy." she said with some disdain, looking at her food before taking out a stick of celery and forlornly biting into it.

Trei stared longingly at Saluki's lunch. Shyly, she asked, "Do you want to trade? I don't really like all this junk food."

((*stabs short post*))

Saluki inspected Trei's lunch with wide amber eyes. "hmmm... Okay!" Happily, she passed her lunch to the xweetok, and took her lunch in turn, ripping open the poptarts and quickly inhaling one faster than you could say so, then nibbling on the other with a contented look on her face.

Trei barely noticed Saluki's crazy eating; she was too busy indulging herself in all the nutritious and healthy foodstuffs that resided in Saluki's lunch box.

"Sooo, do you live with your parents?" she asked carefully.

[STARLING]

"Yup." she said cheerfully, mouth full of sandwich and poptart and spitting crumbs everywhere. "They're archaeologists. They dig up rocks and pots and stuff." She nodded dismissively, continuing to eat, then realized it was only courteous to ask in return.

"Wha' about you?"

"Ummm....." She nibbled on some of the trail mix and wondering why she brought this up and how she was going to answer it. She was among the few Neopets in Neopia with an owner. Lucy predicted that soon there would be pets with owners running around all over the place, but Trei was still doubtful. "I don't know who my parents are," she settled on. "They got rid of me when I was really small."

Saluki chewed silently a minute before sitting up suddenly. "That's not fair!" she protested, "We should find them.. yup." she said, apparantly masterminding this plan while wolfing down M&M's. "Who do you live with now tho?"

"My adoptive sisters and my, uh, adoptive mom." This was true, to an extent. Roni and Ara were her 'adoptive' sisters because they aren't blood related, and Lucy is the only parental figure in their lives, so they consider her a mother.

[STARLING]

"I wish I had sisters." Saluki said, almost sadly. "I'm an only child." she informed Trei, sitting there silently until she ruined the pensieve mood by eating the sandwich in a few bites. "recess should be soon." she said cheerfully.

Trei finished off the lunch and groaned; she did not want to deal with all the kids being loud and obnoxious, their thoughts zipping around like bees on crack. She pulled out of her bag a rather thick chapter book, titled The Kiko Mage. She opened it up to the middle, where her bookmark was.

((really? So you've been with a girl before??? ..... I've never had anything against gays but I would never be one myself. I have several lez friends but they've never hit on me or anything cause I let them know right off the bat that I'm into guys, lol :]))

((I'm totally straight, but I have no problem whatsoever with gays or lez or bi people. The topic came up one time at lunch and I was like, "I don't have a problem with gay people, but I just happen to be straight as a board." My friend Garrett just HAD to pipe in with, "Well, what if you hit the board with a really big hammer--" And we all started laughing. But yah. Guys only for me.

I was at Barnes & Noble the other day, talking to I think Rachel on my phone, and we were talking about boobs, like "my boobs are bigger than yours" and cup sizes and stupid stuff like that. xD Well, so I hang up, and the guy next to me goes, "Are you lesbian?" and I was like, "Umm, no." And he goes, "You sure? You seem really obsessed with boobs." And I came back with, "Yeah, well you guys are all obsessed with your penises; does that mean you're all gay??"

He walked away. xDDDDDDD;)
